Aol Commenting Censorship
My comments are being censored. i never used any profanity. I have been with them for 26 years and they still have no problem taking my money each month. I am not a Conservative by the way. No warning or notice from them but I do get ads to buy things from them when i try to get a response. it has been 2 weeks and every comment is rejected. You give no proof, no warning or no temporary suspension. You hide behind your cowardly approach to deleting the ability to comment.
Desired outcome: To Be reinstated to the comments.

Aol's disgusting, they're far worse than a communist regime, I haven't cussed or used offensive language, yet they ban me from commenting on their stories, why? Because they censor truth and conservative views, isn't that a violation of free speech? Boycott aol by not buying from their sponsors and advertisers, it's an ongoing problem for many conservatives, i'll handle the resolution myself thanks
I have the exact same problem. Been with AOL for over 25 years, and they NEVER had a problem with me in all those years. But now, I'm suddenly banned? As an older person, that site gave me a chance to interact with other people. I Never used bad words, but others did; and somehow THEY got away with it! There was a guy on the site using parts of dirty words as his User Name, which he tried to disguise by using symbols under and over his name to try to fool AOL; and THEY did nothing about HIM! He also spewed hateful comments about women! I was the one who had to keep removing his comments, because AOL's people didn't see them or understand them, or worse yet, maybe they agreed with his comments. Totally NOT okay. That was their job to do...NOT mine! AOL took away my Right to Free Speech, for no good reason. I always commented on Trump stories, but NEVER used bad language. I think AOL is in Trump's camp; and that's why I was removed. SO UNFAIR! This was a lifeline for me; and THEY took it away from me for no good reason!
They have become a DISGRACE to their monicker "American", as I am an original account holder for over 26 years and have had same thing happen to me now...
False ticklers for your headline stories
On todays many pages of stories is one about Aaron Rodgers wife.
You click on dozens of pictures but not one of Arron or his wife.. This type of
stuff happens all the time. Does no one proof read their story? This is typical of AOL. Also, on every single story that requires you to click to
the next page, the continue button jumps around and you get an advertisement. Way too many advertisements for what I am paying monthly. This is BS and please stop or I will cancel my account. Thank you, Gary

News feed comment section
AOL instantly rejects all of my comments as violating community standards. I have never posted a comment which insults, contains vulgarity, or is anyway threatening. I am a conservative and most of their news is extremely left wing so I provide a conservative perspective in order get others to think and debate. It stated with them preventing me from responding to peoples replies to my posts by hiding them so I would have to look through hundreds of comments to find them and now they just outright reject everything I post. I know they are a private company but they enjoy many [protections from Section 230 and if they are going to be a publisher then those protections should be taken away.

Violation of privacy of aol mail agent
In sending financial documents to [protected]@gmail.com, aol chopped the name after the dr and added the aol domain name. Thus my documents were sent erroneously to dr@aol.com. I wrote to dr@aol.com asking to delete the documents but I did not receive a response.
aol committed a grave and possibly costly error.
Is your board able to find out if dr@aol.com has my documents from [protected]@aol.com. If the documents have not been opened, if may be possible for aol to delete them at the dr@aol.address.
I am at a loss of what to do. Please help or advise.

Unethical Behaviour On Aols Part
Aol Won't let me comment on news articles anymore since May. Nothing I say or have said is in anyway offensive. They won't even let me post a simple " lol" Tired of every comment I make getting rejected for NO reason what-so-ever when people curse and are offensive and are still allowed to comment. This is complete and utter nonsense and Aol needs to stop this once and for all!

AOL has been totally censoring my comments for twenty five years. I kid you not. Total censorhip at its best. I've written them thousands of feedback to no avail. AOL either ignores you or blames you for their problems.
You're not alone. On August 1, 2021 the AOL moderators simply started rejecting every comment I posted and I, too, have never done anything against their guidelines and rules. I've had my AOL email account for 30 years and I'm "offended" by this kind of censorship when they hypocritically claim to "welcome your comments." I made one comment by going to the "feedback" site at the bottom of a comment page and now I've even been blocked from using that. The fact that this is so unfair to people like me who are polite while allowing hostile and vulgar posts constantly by others is what bothers me the most.
I have the same problem. Also a member for 30 years. So what is the solution? Has anyone been able to find the root of the problem?

Dishonest disgusting biased news reporting makes me sick daily
AOL News is clearly biased towards liberals/Democrats and against conservatives/Republicans.
AOL now reports on False News stories mostly against Biden. Where was this AOL Reporting on fake news when President Trump was in office, crickets…. AOL promoted fake news stories against President Trump almost daily. AOL promoted the story that PResident Trump said to during disinfectant to fight off Covid knowing this was no True. AOL is failing to report on All of Bidens failures as a pretend Idiot Dementia Patient pretend President. Where are the true stories on AOL about Idiot Biden's failed border crisis that worsens by the day…. AOL Crickets… Where are the AOL news stories about the horrific conditions in Afghanistan after Biden's failed attempts to leave Afghanistan in a professional and courageous way.

Unable to comment on news feeds
I have been unable to comment on any AOL news feeds for months now, for no apparent reason. I write a comment but it always gets "rejected", even if I just type in "test" or another innocuous comment/word.
Desired outcome: Please fix this issue it so I can make comments to news feeds and other comments. This has been going on for about three months or so now.
Billing / refund
I was informed Thursday by one of your technicians that the System Mechanic we've been paying for since 07/18 had never been installed. Your technician installed it on my machine 09/09/21. I then realized it was not on my husband's computer, so I called yesterday, 09/10/21, and your technician installed it on my husband's machine yesterday. I informed the technician that I would like a refund for the 38 months I had been paying for it and never had it. I was transferred to the billing dept. and was told they would let me have one month free, $4.99. I said that was not acceptable and asked for a supervisor who, surprisingly was busy and would call me back. Of course, I never received a call. This morning I had to call tech support because we couldn't get on my husband's computer. The technician walked us through it and also informed us the Tech Fortress that we had been paying for since 06/20 had never been installed. We have been your customer for over 20 years and this is not the way we should be treated. We are in our 70's and our only income is our Social Security. We trusted you.
Desired outcome: A refund for all the months we have been paying for System Mechanic and Tech Fortress.

I am being blocked for factual comments on Ivermectin that are found on the NIH.ORG site. This is a week now.

technical support on an email problem with verizon.net - agent hung up on me.
Look, I have been calling 4 times for help with sending our email on my verizon.net account. previously your agent helped me get by AOL's abrupt and disabling arrogantly installed, security which cut me off from my email which I use for business. However, after we got my email to receive, once having obtained a specially generated password, I soon found out I could not send mail out. on my first call back I was impressed how hard an effort was put in to get my outgoing mail actually being sent, but to no resolution. He just couldn't get it to work. So I was to be transferred to a technical expert. He then put me on a line but I was holding for an extensive period of time when my wife had a matter which required us to go out and I hung up. Thereafter, I have called back to get your agents, one at a time, Peter, Caye and Jessie, to transfer me. Instead of being transferred, the phone line went to a dial tone as I was hung up on. My case number is [protected]. I just want to get through to someone who will get me able to send mail out.

This person rejected my Wall Street Journal Post on the Taliban selling confiscated equipment to Iran. WSJ is a left-leaning Organization. This is not the first time, this moderator has even rejected an AOL Article. IMO, you are operating a Communist site as you do not allow me to dispute any rejection.

can't post comments for about a month now
For some undisclosed reason when I try to post anything to a article i get the same message:
"Your comment has been rejected - Your comment has been rejected as it does not align with our Community Guidelines."
I did not violate any posting rules of AOL that i know of so. Even if I say "I agree" to a comment it get rejected. Why and for what reason and please be specific if there is a reason.

The Moderator blocking my post as redundant while allowing the liberal Lucyfire to trigger people with her redundant Post. Hey, Freedom is Reach, I fought for your right to reject me. Where did you fight? Imo, the AOL moderator protects the liberal writers but refuses me. Liberal probably working for Media Matters attempt to trigger anyone that they disagree with in an attempt to get me to make inappropriate statements. When I enter redundant post they are reject and I am allowed to post to the entire article.

Every time for 3 months now whenever I comment on AOL It's always rejected. Even if I send a " lol" it's still rejected. I follow and always have the guild lines. As far as I am concerned this is harassment . I'm sick and tired of AOL censoring what they want and do NOT follow their own rules! It really isn't AOL doing the censoring, but the leftist comment service they are using called OpenWeb (more appropriately ClosedWeb). OpenWeb has a 'global agenda' printed on their website saying that they will be the ones controlling dialogue and that any service using them has to agree. Their dialogue when examined is totally leftist and sees any other as violators of community guidelines and they will put you on their censored lists, including your ip, so you can no longer participate in any place that uses their commenting software, and crying out to AOL, Yahoo, etc that use these communistic service, will have no impact. Censorship IS here because American companies as these have handed the reigns over to a communist comment moderation company and are happy to participate in being responsible for removing free speech in America. Only recourse is to stop doing business with their mother companies as Verizon, etc, if that is how they treat fellow citizens.
I too have been CENSORED and SILENCED by AOL. I am an older person who has been with AOL for over 25 years, and AOL Never seemed to have a problem with me in all those years! I haven't changed...I'm STILL the same person I was 25 years ago. The way I speak and talk and write has NOT changed. Yet I still see AOL ignoring hateful comments online; including one guy who used letters from filthy words about women as His USERNAME, and made horrible comments about women. Yet AOL Never removed a single one of his comments; which means AOL DIDN'T have a problem with that? I, had to remove those disgusting comments, since AOL didn't! Please explain to me why, without rhyme, reason, or warning, You took away a lifeline from me. I am an older person with early stage dementia, who REALLY, TRULY needed this, to help me engage with other people while I still can.
Sorry this happened to you also, but it isn't AOL censoring you but OpenWeb which runs the comment software AOL started using. You will find at the bottom of the comments OpenWeb name there, as OpenWeb provides and moderates the commenting service. OpenWeb is leftist, has a printed agenda on their website, they call a 'global agenda' where they aim to be the ones controlling and deciding what can be said on the Internet, and that agenda is anti-right, and loves the left. Once they identify you as a conservative of any kind, perhaps even based on your age, as I am seeing many seniors complaining of getting censored, kept from commenting using OpenWeb tools not just on AOL, but also Yahoo, which OpenWeb would get from your account profile. Could be they are just blocking all older accounts to silence the audience most likely to be conservative. Of course this is outrageous. But don't expect AOL or Yahoo to care. Best that can be done is to boycott Verizon now running Yahoo and/or AOL, which Verizon originally purchased AOL in 2015 for $4.4 billion, and acquired Yahoo in 2017 for $4.5 billion. Verizon is responsible for allowing OpenWeb to operate on AOL & Yahoo and inflict censorship on loyal older Americans who helped these companies grow. Use AT&T instead or comcast, since it is obvious that Verizon cares less about freedom of speech and welcomes a communistic moderation company to control all dialogue to far leftest. To express yourself, go watch YouTube news videos where the comment section is run by YouTube and NOT OpenWeb. Stay away from any news outlet that uses OpenWeb. Keep in mind that it is OpenWeb, as once your ip is identified it is put into OpenWeb's database and you are blocked in all places they control moderating software that is marked by their name OpenWeb seen at the comment sections page. Maybe we will get America back, but don't hold your breath, just be informed the problem is OpenWeb.
