After years of using Anthony in my home and purchasing a very expensive HVAC system and service contract for my home, I contacted Anthony for services at my business. After affirming that they do commercial work, they chickened out when the job was made harder by Evergy. This left me with two weeks to find a new contractor that was not afraid of commercial work. Stay away from this company for commercial work, they do not have the expertise they claim. Funny how I get contracted regularly to expand my home service agreement to have " annual electrical inspections." I think these guys are owned by private equity that thinks we are all idiots.

Needed our main drain cleaned out Some thing we have done occasionally for the past nine years living in our home. A couple of years ago Anthony installed our heating and cooling system so we thought why not give them a try to clean out the main drain. After the technician gave my husband a long spew about the premium service for $280 He opted for just the $70 main drain cleaning. After he was here for 10 minutes cleaning out the drain he came back to my husband and told my husband he found a roots and it would be an extra $200 to run the blade. We paid him the $70 and hired someone else and they cleaned it out no problem! I will never use this company again.

Great customer *** and *** techs that take time and were thorough. *** came by in the morning following a weekend after using the website to sign up for a drain opening for "first available time" over the weekend. It was very easy to set up the work. She was helpful and timely and very thorough. She also answered a question and showed interest in ensuring I was aware of some other items that *** had us considering future work. She was not pushy about their yearly ASAP Customer program, but I am considering it as it appears to be a great price compared to another company's fee I pay just for annual HVAC inspection and work.

First off they dropoed the appointment. We called them ti find out where they were & found out they had no record if the 1st appt of the day on wed June 3, but would get Someone asap. He did show up & tried to change the quoted charge of $77.00 to clear a drain. He told us there would be an additional trip charge just to arrive. We called the office & git it corrected. Then he did not have the correct size if drain plug to seal the pipe & left to ho to Lowes to get another plug, which was still incorrect. He did get the drain unclogged for which We are grateful, but he also tracked debris up & down my basement steps which we had to clean. The job was done just not very professionally.

We are repeat clients having used Anthony when we lived in OP a few years ago and recently moved back to the area. The house we purchased had left the previous vendors info so we decided to use them. While we appreciate and support a smaller shop (which was what the previous owners used), we were not able to have them come out in a timely manner due to their back log of jobs. They recommended another company who they frequently refer business to and they were not good at all. I called Anthony and they were out the next day and did what they said they would do. Granted we need to replace an AC unit, but at least we were told that was what needed to be done!Thanks for being reliable, courteous, and professional!

We bought anthony's membership package, the sale person and membership benefit package never stated there is $89 fee for a service call plus service cost. this is intentionally misleading and fraud advertising trap. We called bathroom clog yesterday, Rep *** told me will do drain cleaning for $79. Tech arrived 6:15pm, Tech charges $235 for drain cleaning as a member. It was 5 minutes simple job with a basic tool auger, not any different as a regular drain cleaning. Anthony priced drain cleaning $70, other company charge anywhere $70 to 90. *** was off the shift that time.everything was by design to cheat. We were lied to about membership and overcharged for a simple job. I just canceled membership and will not do any business with this company any more.

We had this company come out about frozen pipes. When on the phone she let me know of the $99 trip fee. However, he was here for 1.5hrs and unthawwed the pipes. This cost us $644 to just put some heat tape on. Charging this amount is outrageous. They didn't have to replace anything and took the heat tape back with them so no product was left. We even had our own heat tape, brand new, just bought and asked him to just put it on and he refused to do that. I never received a receipt of what everything cost until I called back to the company requesting an itemized report/recipet. I then requested to speak with customer service and never got a phone call back, after being told they would reach out to me. Never again will I be using them, and its my recommendation you look else where before calling this company to help you out.

Anthony Plumbing, Heating and cooling is a scam. They want to sell you a service plan of questionable value, period. Actual work is charged at rates 5 times market value. Taking advantage of people who have an urgent need or not familiar with the real value of the work..Thats a scam!I was not able to get a quote upfront for replace a valve when scheduled.part of the scam to get the salesmanI mean technician out. Tech looked at valve, gave me the service plan pitch that gives you 4 visits a year for about $200/ year to service the heating, AC and water heater, but you still pay for any work. of course I declined. He then quoted $768 to replace the valve. When I asked why it was so much he said he had to shut off the water and drain the system..okay that takes about 10 minutes so the whole job is less than one hour.which he agreed. So should cost about $100 to $150, not $768. Is this even legal?

We called Anthony PHCE *** for a sewer drain blockage last week and after four day and 4600 dollars Anthony Plumbing left with no results. The first day Tuesday 5/12 the Anthony technician unknowingly ran his auger snake through the vent pipe, down the house and into the yard and then told us the drain was clear (he was confused that there was green foliage from the yard on the auger head). That night the toilet backed up again. On Wednesday 5/13 the camera tech tried to scope the drain but was unable to get through the pipe and we were told the piping need to be replaced at a cost of 4200 dollars. On Thursday 5/14 the piping was replaced, and the technician told us he was able to snake the drain 25 feet. On the morning Friday 5/15 the camera tech was unable to scope the drain and the technician stated that the piping would have to be dug up and it would cost about 20 thousand dollars. After the Anthony tech left on Friday we called a different plumbing contractor and within an hour he was able to find the cause of the blockage and clear it in a couple of hour at a fraction of the price Anthony charged us. The piping Anthony replaced on Thursday had nothing to do with the problem. Anthony PHCE never returned our phone call on Monday.

BE *** WITH WHAT THEY *** YOU ABOUT FINANCING. I wont complain about the actual service that was completed. My issue is The sales man lied to push a sale on a new young homeowner. First they offer a deal but say I have to take it right then and there, making me feel pressure to go with them since it leaves me no time to look elsewhere or get other quotes. So that rubbed me the wrong way for sure. I had asked a very specific and simple question about financing this big purchase from them. The question was is there interest? His answer to that was no, none. And I remember this because I remember thinking wow thats awesome I can pay it off with payments with no worries. So when I got all the paper work in the mail, I learned that was a lie. Why, as a new homeowner with a mortgage, would I ever even consider agreeing to be signed up for a loan that was going to charge 10% interest on a 9k sale?! He basically lied about something to trick someone into taking the deal. When a rep from the company called me to ask what happened, I told him how it went down. He even said, he saw no notes of ever talking about financing and the interest rate of it so he couldnt argue that that wasnt true. So when I told him that I had already paid it off he basically didnt care at that point anymore and just said sorry about that. No offer of anything to resolve the fact that the sales man lied about it to make the sale. If he had been honest I would have NEVER gone forward with it.

We purchased a 10-year water heater from Anthony, but they installed a 6 year. On my paperwork it states "installed 10 year manufacturer warranty water heater". However, when I registered my product with the company, I discovered they had installed a 6-year warranty water heater. I called Anthony to advise them of the mix-up. They advised the ONLY install 6 year warranty water heaters, but for an extra amount they will personally guarantee them for 10. I explained that was NOT what I was told, or what I paid for. I was told there was no difference between the two water heaters, except for the length of the warranty. I contacted the manufacturer who advised there IS in fact a difference between them. I spoke again with Anthony, they conceded yes, okay, there is a difference, but they are still guaranteeing the water heater for 10 years and will replace any necessary parts. I explained this was still inappropriate as I had paid for a 10 year warranty water heater, expecting it to last that long and possibly longer with proper care and maintenance. I did not pay for a 6 year water heater that would be limped along to 10 years. Additionally, I pointed out that if Anthony were to go out of business, I would have no one to go back to regarding the warranty. They told me they'd been in business over 70 years and were not going to go out of business. I said that does nothing to change that I did not get what I paid for, and that you misrepresented the product to get me to purchase it, then you tried to lie about it when I have the work order ticket right in front of me that states a 10 year manufacturer warranty water heater was installed. I was surprised, but pleased, when they finally stopped trying to gaslight me and asked how they could fix it. I advised I wanted what I had paid for: a 10 year manufacturer warranty water heater. A day or so passed and when he called me back, he advised that there were none available. It's possible this is true, but at this point I have nothing leading me to believe they are telling me the truth. We settled on my being refunded for the price difference between the 6 and 10 year, but still providing the 10 year warranty. Short of removing the water heater and giving me a full refund (and also then leaving me to scramble to have one installed again), I had no other ideas. I was told I would receive a new "ticket" that would indicate the agreement. I never received such a paper. I was also assured that our phone calls were recorded, so I could definitely feel good that I was "covered". However, the phone call he was referencing was actually placed on his cell phone as he advised his office phone wasn't working properly. I'm fairly certain the cell phone call wasn't recorded, but again, I have no way of verifying that one way or the other. I want to make sure that anyone who uses them in the future (though I certainly wouldn't recommend it) verifies they are getting installed what they have paid for. I would advise asking a lot of questions. Make sure you know the details - assume nothing. I was very careful in this process and they still managed to deceive me. I am filing a review, and not a complaint, as I don't believe there is a solution to this beyond what has already been agreed to (assuming there really weren't any 10 year water heaters available, which, again, I have doubts). I want to make sure other consumers are aware of these deceptive business practices before getting involved with this company.
