Americas Best Value Inn review: night manager

I booked my stay at Americas Best Value Inn Alpine for Aug.5/19 through Hotels.com. When I arrived I asked for a room on the main floor. He said, "No. Anyone that receives a discount is thrown up to the second floor."

Thrown?! This man needs some help with his customer service skills!

The place was empty. I counted 7 cars, including mine, in the parking lot in the morning.

I complained to Arturo, the day staff, before I left. He told me it was the hotels policy to put customers with a discount on the second floor.

I had no problems with the room. It was quite nice and clean...minus the cigarette burn in the carpet.
