My husband and I were driving cross country, starting in ca. We decided to stop in colorado for the night and booked a room. We checked the site which stated that this location is in fact pet friendly. We arrive at the hotel with our 2 baby kittens and were told we can't stay. They only allow dogs. When I asked why this wasn't explicitly stated on the website, the manager immediately began yelling and told us that it was too bad. We explained that they took all of the money we had on our card so we had nowhere to stay for the night. The manager (jay patel) and his son were extremely rude and confrontational. We ended up having to find a room nearby that accepted all pets and accepted cash as payment. Upon arrival, the manager of this hotel asked what brings us — we explained that we were turned away from another hotel. He immediately stated "must be americas best" and went on to tell us that over 10 guests had already come, that were already turned away and each one had a horrible experience. Some were even assaulted by this man and his son. This has been a very stressful situation, where we were already stressed from driving across the country. I will never go to another americas best hotel if we will be treated like this again. Now we have to wait several days for our money to be refunded to us. I hope this person can be replaced with someone who cares about the customers. He needs to be fired. He has no right to assault anyone!
