I am submitting this review regarding American Merchant Center, Inc. due to concerns about what I believe to be unfair and unethical billing practices.
The company charged subscription fees for credit card transaction support services that had been canceled and were never used. Despite the cancellation, subscription fees continued to be charged for four additional months. When I requested a refund for those charges, the company declined to issue a full refund, even though no services were provided during that period.
In my opinion, continuing to charge a customer for a canceled and unused service, and then refusing to refund those charges, is unacceptable. A merchant services provider should maintain transparent billing practices, process cancellations promptly, and issue refunds when services were not delivered.
I also spoke with Lora, the company’s president, regarding this matter. Although we agreed to accept a partial refund of half the amount charged and provided Cash App account information so the refund could be processed, the refund has still not been issued. This matter has now remained unresolved for more than three months.
I am requesting that American Merchant Center, Inc. refund the subscription fees charged after cancellation. I also believe the BBB should review this company’s billing, cancellation, and refund practices to help prevent other customers from experiencing similar issues.
