Unfortunately, I too was deceived by the American Laser Centers at a price tag of $4750. $2000 for Laser hair removal lower legs, underarms and bikini area and $2750 for Skin Tightening on my face and Vela treatments to my buttocks, thighs and stomach.
None of it worked. I even have my before and after pictures they printed for me and mailed after I sent a letter to complain. I have showed these pictures to a prominent Medical Doctor who performs Laser hair removal and other laser services who agrees. I have tried to contact American Laser Center Customer Service via phone and email, but they will not respond. I contacted my credit care company and they are investigating. I really feel there need to be a
Class Action Lawsuit filed against American Laser Centers. I have emailed for information in getting one started. We all need to stick together and make it happen. Just complaining will not do any good. American Laser Centers should pay for all the money we have lost and our pain and suffering.

So angry and disappointed about American Laser Center. I was signing my life away in about 10 minutes of my free consultation. Had 6 treatments (2 were "complimentary) because I complained about 3 different techs giving Vela Shape 3 different ways. ARGH!
Anyways, I stopped after my "4th" treatment. Not only were my photos not taken on a regular basis, but I was being measured at home - NOTHING. Then I saw a report on TV about the non-licensing of techs and that laser treatments should not be given on a suspicious mole - which I have on my abdomen - right where the Vela Shape treatments were being given. I cancelled the rest of my appointments (no one called me to see why) and filed a 30-day demand letter (Massachusetts opportunity for Consumer Protection). Of course, I am being denied a refund. Refund to me means the money they pre-charged me for and services not used. I am in a whirlwind about all of this. I am actually seeking help from a lawyer to settle this mess. I have been out of work for two years and they still had MedChoice approved me for $4, 000 limit - which they used $3858.00 of. I can't even repeat the whole story because I am mentally exhausted over this. I feel bait and switch practices were used (I had gone in for a free consultation about $89/month services). Also, I feel I didn't have enough time to read the contract I was signing. I was told that I was getting a great deal (of course, it was buy one - get one free that day) and to trust the manager - she wouldn't steer me wrong. I was very depressed and confused that day - I have never fallen for a set-up like that and I'm 54 years old with perfect credit. My husband is furious that I can't settle this account - why should he pay for it - I have no income. These people are very skilled at getting the accounts set up. If I had said I'd pay by cash or check on my application, I'd be safe now. I didn't have cash or check with me - of course, they got me pre-approved instantly. Thanks for listening fellow ALC duped customers. Yes, we must stick together. But what can we do now? Is anyone in on a class action suit - or are any lawyers reading these issues?
I spent over $4, 167 with the hope I would see a difference. They did give me extra treatments. The treatments were excruciating but I continued on. Their ads say that it is painless. That is not true. It is extremely painful. I knew the contract said no refunds but if a class action lawsuit happens I want in on it. I got absolutely no results and plenty of time and money lost. They never did before pictures but they did do after pictures. It was disgusting because I knew there was no change. In addition each tech did the procedure differently. You are correct about that. I am not happy to say the least.
