Electric furnace. Started in October 2023
I have been dealing with getting this fixed for almost a year. Mountain heating and cool came out on October 21st 2023. After ordering 3 furnaces they put the 3rd one in. They could not seem to order one that would fit. This one has never worked it kept turning off. I tried to contact to come out to fix it. They never returned my calls. You tried reaching out to them and they never returned your calls or emails. After months of this you sent Mountain Heating out in June 2023. I was then told it was a electrical issue. I was told 2 wires were hitting each other. On September 9th 2023 INTEGRITY AIR HEATING & COOLING LLC came to my house. At this time I found out my furnace was to small to heat my house. After fixing that he found that the door to my furnace is hit the breaker causing it to turn off. He then got a hold of AHS and told them the problem. I was the assigned ILLUMINATE CONTRACTING LLC. When I was able to talk to this company the person was very rude to me asking what I thought he was going to do about it. He then said I need to start over with a new furnace but he could come out and look at it feeling he would not be able to fix it. I then called AHS three times stating what happened. I was told I would get a new vendor. I keep getting phone calls and emails saying ILLUMINATE CONTRACTING LLC will be coming out. I was told that the way I was treated was not ok yet I just talked to Mariane 655183 and was told this would be my vendor unless they could not do it. I have been with AHS about 20 years this is the worst treatment I have had. I would like to call my electrician and have them do the work. I burned out 2 space heaters trying to keep warm last year. I fear this year will be the same. Can you please help me

I have been waiting for parts since June. It is now September my refrigerator temperature is 49 degrees. They have 2 of the 3 parts and offering a cash out on the part that is not in stock. The other parts are available but I will not be compensated for those parts even though I do not have them in my possession.
I am told that the fan is on back order and is not expected to be in until November 2023 and then there is no guarantee that will happen. This has been the worst experience ever, when it comes to customer service. Every person that I spoke to have been like robots reading from a script. No one really cared about my situation or made an effort to help me. I have been offered $322 cashout to replace my refridgerator. I do not feel like that is a fair offer.
Desired outcome: I am asking for compensation for all parts $374.44, labor $160, the monthly service fee for three months $167.85 and the initial service fee $125 charged for the contractor to acess the problem.

Facts I purchased this home a few years ago with a AHS policy and NO ONE HAS TOUCHED MY A/C COMPRESSOR during the time I have lived in it, until 8/28/23 which was AHS contractors. So anything wrong with it is (Unknown pre-existing breakdowns) or Improper installation or repair or Mismatched HVAC system parts. Which is covered by my Policy # [protected] ShieldPlatinum I have been s AHS customer for years on 2 different homes.

I have been told by more than 3 person at AHS once on 9/8/23 by (Sha) & 0n 9/11/23 by Kris & 9/14/23 (Paul) that i would get a copy of the detailed diagnosis & a detailed copy of why my A/C repair would not be completed.
I requested a copy of the detailed Diagnosis and a detailed report from AHS and have yet to get any written paperwork in the mail or by e-mail, just verbal different stories when calling them. Now on 9/14/23 (Paul) tells me that the past AHS employees filled out the wrong paperwork & he will fill out the wright paperwork to get me copies. To date i have not received no copies of what have asked for.
AHS I need to get my A/C fixed completely with or without YOU AHS, & your Shield Platinum plan is no good?
This makes no sense a guy came out on 8/28/23 Monday and ordered a part (See past history at AHS) and on 9/8/23 Friday different guy came out and did not have the part and did nothing, but park in my driveway and i had to ask him to park on street.
Then he started leaking out my free-on again and telling me quote "he is not a nice guy", which i thought was very strange to say at the least. He also told me my Train A/C was NO GOOD, but the first guy on 8/28/23 ordered a part & said my Train A/C
was GOOD.
Another very strange thing with two/2 very different statements. I do not know who is telling the TRUTH or are all of them making up stories to not complete the job right. I cannot trust what they say at all.
He did not fix anything and now he processed a service diagnosis and estimate from SMART CHOICE and forgot all about replacing the bad part.
I contacted SMART CHOICE office & a woman stated the first service guy they sent did not know what he was doing "Eros" was his name.
A/C finish my repair by replacing the part that was ordered on 8/29/23 & anything else that needs to be completed. So whatever happened will never happen again, & a detailed copy of what happened Please. I am a senior & i need your help, Please

Washer/ dryer machines
I have had an open claim with American Home Shield for my dryer and washer machine from July 14th till today, I have called daily many times and spent hundreds of frustrating hours with their customer team in ASIA. nobody takes any action, only false promises and excuses. they are waiting for their contractor's Diagnosis report since ever, 4 contractors have been assigned for this task so far, their contractors do not respond to them or answer their calls, and their team has zero Authority to bypass their process, I have been washing clothes by hand and drying on furniture for 2 months, and they still tell me daily "rest assure, that we are doing our best and a representative will call you tomorrow (LIERS!). they still charge me monthly and charged for this claim upfront but they don't mind the claim has not been solved for months! last time their supervisor hung up on my call (terrible training and customer experience). I do not recommend doing business with AHS at all... I wish I could rate them zero!
Desired outcome: Replace the items and close the claim!!Take responsibility for your own contractor's delay and the poor management from your end. my contract is with AHS, not the contractors, I shouldn't be the one suffering for months due to your failure!
Washer
Terrible service, washer has been broken for over 3 months still not fixed, every time we call AHS we get a different rep that we repeat the story to them over and over again, they make promises and then nothing gets done about it. Even the tech they asked to come out to us, did a video call and did not even come out to see the washer and then when he did come out, he was terrible and did not fix the problem and then the tech told AHS that he replaced 2 parts which was a lie, no-one takes them seriously and that is why the washer is still broken 3 months later. I would not recommend AHS to anyone, unless you just want to pay and get no service. A total waste of money...

A/C Repair
Our AC went out in August, we contacted AHS. They didn't respond until we started calling. They didn't find us anyone to work on our AC, and dispatch was and is still "pending" somehow. It took jumping through hoops to get approved to find an outside technician. We have been told numerous times that we will get call backs to let us know what is going on, and we don't. We have to call repeatedly and we (me, my partner, and the technician) get told different and conflicting information. No one at AHS actually knows what is happening due to "system errors," and they give us the turn-around. It has been almost a month without AC, because of AHS and their neglect. Our technician needs approval to do the work. He was told his diagnostic report was declined, I was told there is no record that it is declined. At what point will this become a legal issue? Soon if AHS doesn't fulfill their contract.
Desired outcome: Approve the diagnostic report and approve the technician's request to do the repairs or replacement. We will have him bill AHS, because we now cannot trust that AHS will reimburse us if we pay.
Charging unduly $64 for allegedly late monthly fee.
I am complaining about penalty charged. My tenant called for AC problem and the company refused to help saying I did not pay the monthly due on time. I talked to your representative and it took him about half an hour to find out that I had paid on time. Now my tenant sent me bill for $64 that your service man has charged for late payment. No bill has ever sent to me and no explanation. I always paid on time My contract is [protected]. Your company does not believe in keeping its clients happy. It exploits. My filter pump's motor was found to be broken by my pool service company staff on 4/14/2023 and I was informed that a repair technician was sent to diagnose the problem. After the diagnosis, I was told my old Pentair pump's motor was broken and needed to be replaced. Please see the attached picture-old pentair motor- broken, New centurion motor-installed.
The cost of the motor replacement was $600 and diagnosis fee was $135 and O-ring gasket kit was $40, total $775.
I would like to have a reimbursement for these fees.

Hardworking Americans pay a monthly fee for home warranties because we cannot afford a major breakdown. In addition, there is another fee for a service call. However, home warranty companies choose to work with sub-par or totally incompetent contractors who either, can’t get the job done correctly or misdiagnose the issue and fix anything that comes to mind. I strongly believe this is due to a lack of knowledge of diagnosing the real issue. Case in point, we have only been in our home for two years and have had three service requests for a leaking water heater. That is $75 per request. Why wouldn’t a company that makes millions a year from its customers seek to explore the best option for its customers? Why wouldn’t a company explore why there are three service requests for the same unit within a two-year time frame? The first two times we had two different contractors come out and misdiagnose the issue. After the second time, we got a reputable company to come out and diagnose the issue so that we could let American Home Shield know that we needed service a third time and were not going to stand for another contractor coming out and feeding us BS. The company was HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Drains. They stated that the following items needed to be replaced: the PRV valve, expansion tank, and T&P valve. Whereas the previous two contractors only diagnosed the T&P valve.
American Home Shield sent out Melton Plumbing in January of 2023. The two service guys Melton Plumbing sent out looked unkept, but what could we do? They charged us $400 to replace our PRV valve, expansion tank, and T&P valve, as American Home Shield only covered the T&P valve. Fast forward to today, September of 2023, we have another leak. We decided to go with another reputable company, Thomas and Galbraith to check Melton Plumbing’s work. Turns out, Melton Plumbing installed the new expansion tank behind the old PRV valve, which has caused a new leak. I reached out to Melton Plumbing before I reached out to American Home Shield to inform them of the findings. They answered the phone for me on 9/5/2023 and spoke as if someone would get back to me. However, I have yet to hear from them anymore. One would think a company would want to rectify its wrongs. This is not the case. Now I am currently going back and forth with American Home Shield on why they do not take note of service requests to figure out why the same unit keeps failing instead of trying to create another service request and collect another $75; and why they aren’t holding contractors accountable if the same unit continues to fail within a certain time frame. It has not been a year since Melton Plumbing came out and we have another leak. This is frustrating and I pray you can make this news. These companies cannot continue to take advantage of hardworking Americans. In the meantime, our hot water valve has to stay off.

AC Unit
I had my AC unit worked on several times this season. This last time has been extensive heat and that is when AHS and their assigned contractors got slick! I have had to file and pay their $125 deductible 3X now. July 05, 2023 was our first of horrible results of AHS backing us - they send a contractor by the name of Service Contractors' of Texas - Greenville, TX, they repaired a small wire issue, worked until August 03rd - and then they send Service Contractors out again. I had words with the tech and they refused to complete the service under their 30 day window - and so the next clown was assigned, A-US Air Cond. of Texs LTD (Rockwall). the first of their techs came out and repair yet another wire on the 08.03.2023, then the air quit again in the extreme heat and were dispatched back out. then they were sent back out due to the AC going back out, made a new ticket 08.18.2023 and they came out on the 21st of August. Mike the tech states it had a freon block in the A COIL and it needed to order that coil and it might be two weeks. After two weeks contacted AHS they say the work order never was turned in for a new coil or any parts. the service was marked as complete. I stated it was not complete. They ask if I wanted to make a new service ticket. NO! This one was NEVER complete. they said that the tech turned it in as complete and not a work order or part order. I am so DONE!
How do I cancel? I want out of this Burmuda Triangle of Deception!
I want a refund or cash out for a market value of an A COIL. FOR ME TO GO AWAY QUIET... TOO MUCH DECEPTION WITH AHS!

The gentleman said we need hold new air conditions. On September 5, 2023, When I call let them know what company said. I was told by American Home Shield that Camden Service company said they do not service my area. But that was not true the Gentle from Camden Service who came to my house on August 28 to service my Air Condition so happen to be my neighbor.
On September 5, 2023, I call Camden Service I was told they sent American Home Shield the report on my Air Condition. Camden Service said they let them know air condition had to be replace. American Home Shield send out new company Mays Heating and Air Phone706-204-9567 they came and said we need hold new Air Condition When I call American home, they are telling me to give May Heating company $1071.00 that my share for what? I had to call Mays Heating Company I did, and they are not understanding why they want to it. I cannot get anyone in company to talk to me but a customer service clerk. I have a husband in my home who is really sick. They want to send a Third company out now.
Desired outcome: To have my air condition replace I paid company out my pocket, and they said it have to be replaced.
AC service request
I am very disappointed with the American Home Shield Customer Service. Initially I opened the AC service request by July 17. AHS assigned SUB ZERO MECHANICAL LLC. a very rude and incompetent provider. I requested another contractor and AHS appointed Crispy Air and Heating. Another incompetent provider, after they fixed a freon leak the AC stopped working completely. They ordered the compressor to wait another 2 weeks, the AC still did not work. They waited on a thermostat another week; the part did not arrive on the day scheduled. In the meantime, the temperature inside was 88F while outside 110-116F. I have elderly people inside, they almost passed out. I made multiple calls to the escalation dept, I opened a complaint, and nobody got back to me. It is unacceptable to wait more than 6 weeks to fix an AC. I am determined to cancel out my contract with AHS, this is a scam.

On 23 August I requested that AHS provide a cash out value amount so that I could decide how to go forward. Was told by the agent it would take 24-48 hours.
I followed up via chat multiple times, the most recent times on 28, 29 August and again on 1 September. Each time the same story: give us more time. I asked for the number of the agent or manager but was not given any.
Desired outcome: I want to know the cash out value today (1 Sep 2023) so I can decide whether to order the part and take another 2-4 weeks before repair or take the cash out and go to another service provider who can install much sooner.
