We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. AMC Theatres listing of movies is deceiving and no one answers the phone to answer any questions! every customer is not computer savvy to go online for answers

I saw the trailers of movies Chappak and Punta at the AMC west Chester, Cincinnati, Ohio and waited for their release ! The movies were released on the dates ! On AMC website, movies were showing as now playing but when you try to purchase the tickets, no showtimes were available? Why showing trailers and showing on my AMC app as showing now and I am unable to purchase tickets ? So ridiculous and when you call the telephone to the theater, get recordings and no one answers and phone hangs up ! Where is your customer service ! No concept ! So fed up ! Geeta Chohan ! AMC Theatres online ticketing (autocommit)

Had plenty of money on a gift card to see a movie and something happened during the transaction. Tickets were $14.98 yet the AMC site still wanted me to pay $2.xx. The gift card(s) still had a total of $29.xx as a balance. Exited the site, tried again and noticed that my balance was now $13.xx. Damn system stole, yes my money was stolen by AMC. Never once did I hit the "purchase" button and both times just closed the app (website).

Ended up at the theater, picked the exact same seats that were selected 35-40 mins prior. Paid cash for the movie and now my App and website can't display ticket information.

So there's something F'd up about the programming and the lack of error checking or lack of appropriate controls when a customer just decides to close the browser.

Then, chat the the AMC staff online, what a waste. Basically tell you what you already know and of the times I wasted 20-30 mins of my life trying to use chat in the past, you would figure I would have known it would go nowhere.

No stuck having to chase the Gift Card folks to see what kind of lovely excuses I'll hear from them.

Started with AMC back in 2011 and it takes just 2-3 bad experiences to just stay home and stream for $25 per month and not to have to deal with *hit like this.

AMC Theatres amc a-list

I received and email stating that the primary email to my account ([protected]) has changed and called the # that was referenced. The individual I spoke with was not able to provide me with further information - only that they will freeze my account and will contact the fraud department. I was not given info on account activity or what was the new email. (This seems unusual because if someone used my credit card fraudulently, I could see what was purchased and when.) At this time I cannot even access my account because of the change of email. This will also potentially impact my ticket for an upcoming movie later this week. (I was told that after my A-list account had been frozen that all future tickets purchase via that account will be void.)

All I know at this time is that 1) someone other than myself has changed the email address associated with my account (as the representative informed me that it looks like there was another email listed as primary), 2) that the fraudulent process may take at least 72hrs, and that 3) if I want to see a movie in the mean time - I must pay full price for the ticket/s (even though I have already paid the money for the A-list for this month).

At a bare minimum, I think I should have access to my account and be allowed to change my password as the email implied (I was told I could not access my account until the issue was resolved). In addition, there should be a more ironed out contingency plan if something like this happens to other individuals. (In a sense, I am loosing a week/days off of my A-list program - I should either be offered an extension to when the next payment is due or at least 1-2 tickets which cover the time I am missing while AMC is investing my claim.)

At least the individual I spoke with was courteous, but she was frustratingly unhelpful. (She could not answer specific questions that I had and frequently deferred to "I will start a fraudulent report".) Finally, when I asked her how I could make a complaint regarding this issue, she stated that she would do it. Unfortunately, I have little faith in employees making/filing complaints on customers behalf. She would not provide me with information on how to access this website or other avenues to make a complaint. She could have at least offered to allow me to speak with her supervisor or refer me to this website. In the end, I found this website after doing an online search after my conversation with her.

AMC Theatres auditorium lamps, marqee lights, tempature control, imax sound synch bad, children posing managers.

Dates: There is a range of dates these issues have been over the last several months. Honestly dating back to last summer. Currently on going.

Ok, lets start with projector bulbs... I ran a Carmike cinema as a general manager for several years. I can easily recognize when a bulb is ending its life cycle. auditorium 3 in the above listed theater is the worst offender as, not only, is it blurred, but extremely dark. I have complained multiple times about this issue and was directed to a child who identified himself as Tyler, and he stated he was a manager. Tyler refused to provide his last name. "Tyler" stated he would check the theater later. I told him the movie was playing now and he could just walk with me and I could show him the issue. He refused, stating he was too busy at the moment. I have since been unfortunate enough to attend a movie in auditorium "3" two times since then. Auditorium 9 also has an old blurry bulb as well, and my complaints about that have been met with the same degree of dismissal.

Another issue is with your IMAX! The sound synch is off and it feels like I am watching a dubbed foreign film. Star Wars episode 9 was completely ruined for me and I had told your management about this issue for months! I was given the excuse of IMAX service not returning your managements calls.

The lighted marquee displays outside of the theaters and in the lobby designed to direct you to the correct theater has not been functional in months. This isn't really an issue one cant deal with considering there are auditorium numbers displayed outside on the wall, but it really looks bad.

Lastly, I want to point out how poorly the temperature control is managed in this building. This includes the Auditoriums being too hot and too cold. The movie usually begins with the auditoriums being way too stuffy and warm to begin with then the temp plummets to be unbearably cold.

Look, I want no compensation for my numerous poor experiences, I want these issues fixed. I pay for 2 A list accounts for me and my wife, and our immersion continues to be ruined because you apparently have a management team who simply does not care for this theater or its patrons!

AMC Theatres cleanliness

My fiancé and friends went to see the movie (1917) lastnight and had a few issues in this location. First the general cleanliness of your facility was very displeasing and very disgusting. I observed multiple trash cans that were overfilled way past capacity causing trash to pile up. Additionally my fiancé and I used the restrooms before the movie started and observed again completely unsatisfied cleanliness. Again the trash cans were completely overfilled causing paper towels to just pile up on the ground. I also purchased an order of chicken fingers which made me sick throwing up and severe stomach pains today. This was my first time in this AMC and I can honestly say I will not be returning, instead I'll choose to go to another establishment. Nobody should pay for a movie and spend a night out at your business and have to deal with these conditions. Please see attached pictures.

AMC Theatres amc a list

My family and I go to our local AMC several times a month with the AMC A List.
On January 5th we went to see Spies in Disguise. Unfortunately I forgot my wallet in all the hustle and bustle to get to the movie. Long story short iI went to the manager and told her what happened hoping honesty and the fact that we were all the same family with ID that an exception could be made. The manager sent us packing. So we left after refunding our sons ticket cause he isn't an A-list. So you lost the price of his ticket all drink and food orders. And also Had three empty seats that couldn't be used. Bravo great business model. What has happened to reasoning in today's society.

AMC Theatres outside drink

I'm an A list member. I attend movies at least twice a month with my grandchildren. I always take my hydro flask water bottle inside and fill it at the water fountain. No one has ever said anything about this. I mean I already spend plenty of money on concessions so why would they? Well, tonight one of the little boys that clean up said I could not take it in, I explained that I always bring it in and fill it with water at the fountain. He said I would have to take it to my car and it was pouring down rain. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager advised this was the rule and asked if I would put it in my purse, I advised that it would not fit or I would gladly do so even though it made no sense. So, he gave me a cup to pour the water out of my water bottle in to and I had to take my water bottle to the car. I'm sorry but I do not see the logic in this at all.

AMC Theatres movie theater

Last night me and my family went to the movies to see Jumanji 2 at Columbus Crossing theatre 15. We love to go to the movies and never had a experience like we did last night. First when we go there the place was not crowded at all. There were 3 people working behind the counter. Finally we told them what we needed. We got our tickets and snacks. No one told us what theater the movie was in and there was no one back in the back to help. All the lights showing which movie is in which theater was out on the whole place. We had to hunt down someone to help us find out where to go. Then we were not given any 3D glasses for the movie. Once we found someone the ones we were given were wrong and broken. We went back out and a young lady working said they had these in a little bag but was not sure if they were the right ones or not. I was just amazed! The movie was good but we missed all the previews bc of the glasses. After the movie we stopped by the restroom and it was horrible and filthy. I never in my life ever complained about this movie theater when it was under Carmike. If you want your customers and my family to come back in the near future you all need to fix this immediately!

AMC Theatres guest service

Me & my boyfriend went to see a movie thinking it will be relaxing & a nice way to spend our one month. We get into the movies and as you know we have seats assigned .. well a group of people were in our row and our seats were taken so we just left it alone and sat in another seat so the whole family didn't have to move, keep in mind this movie was more packed than usual . A lady comes along with her family and asks us to move, saying we were in their seats, so we found a place and moved . A few minutes later another lady and her family came in and told us " you guys need to get up this is our seats" .. the movie hasn't even started and we had to move twice. There was no where really to sit down, our seats were taken and we have already gotten up twice in less then 5 minutes apart, We decided to leave the theater and speak to the usher .. he was willing to seat us but we were already way too frustrated . Coming to see a movie should be relaxing not worrying about seats . It upsets me how we didn't even get to see the movie we were planning to watch instead we had to get up and complain to the usher about our seats. I think it isn't right that we had to get up so many times if there were reserved seats then an usher should be in there placing everybody in their correct seats, it completely ruined our day .

AMC Theatres manager of concession

I purchased a kiddy corn package & was intentionally short changed an even $5.00 by the male concession worker. I was in a hurry to get into my movie, I paid $20.00 cash to him. The Worker did not tell me the price & his register did not show my purchase. He did not give me a receipt & he gave me my change back folded up, he did not count it back to me. I complained to the manager who did not seem concerned as to who he was & that he was ripping people off during the holidays at an AMC Theatre. This guy gives off bad vibes and appears so as well, very cocky, sloppy & disinterested in his job. He is looking for marks from the mall to skim his extra money from. He very obvious & I sensed it right afterwards that I had been took by him but was in a big hurry to get back to my movie & he noticed the situation. He needs to be monitored to catch in action, he is an experienced thief & exudes confidence in his ability, he is comfortable & very unworried.

AMC Theatres food and drinks stinky and unhealthy

I purchased sealed cup of fruit tea before the movie on the mall. Because of the holidays I parked my car too far away from the theatre and was not able to put it to the car.
Person who was talking to me("Brian") came from the theatre kitchen and claimed to be the manager. He was very rude, his BO exceeded anyone's limit of tolerance. I was told to either through the cup or they will not allow me in the theatre.
The food and drinks in this place is so stinky and unhealthy, the seat was greasy and table dirty and sticky from the spilled foods and drinks! Service people were offering food, talking, blocking the view while I was trying to watch the movie. The stench from the kitchen personal and greasy food was so strong that I was nauseating and finally forced to leave. Never again my family or I will attend AMC. I am sure that unsanitary condition and stench will bring these places to the end of their greedy business.

AMC Theatres concession stand and crumbling our two gift cards that balance on one was $ 27.00 and the other $50.00

My husband and I are seniors who received two gift cards, both 50.00 dollars. After going on line and purchasing our senior tickets from one card we had a balance of approx. 26 dollars. Arrived at the concession stand and ordered the large popcorn and two large drinks. Cahier swiped one card[the one we purchased tickets from and informed us we owed a balance which I supplied the next gift card worth 50 dollars. She crumbled both cards informing us we were ok. I told her that the cards had a balance on them and the second card I gave her was worth 50 also. The manager then came over complained about the crumbled card which her cashier did and swiped the card informing us it had a balance of 30 dollars and some odd cents. My husband tried to explain everything to the manager after the movie as we paid over 40.00 dollars for the items listed above. He received no apologies and was informed by the manager the cashier is new who crumbled our cards, receipts and was originally going to take balance from first card and 50.00 from second card. Ignorant staff should learn what they are doing. My husband and I will inform people from now on to purchase fandango gift cards as we could go to Emagine or Marcus theatre which is also cleaner. We will never go to a AMC theatre again.

First Complaint
D9 and 8 seating electric seats do not work in movie Hall # 12.

Second Complaint
The men's restroom door lock latchet NEXT to the Disabled stall is broken!
This is embarasing eethstall are occupied.
Please fix and check all Men's and Women stalls.

Don't yopu conducty periodic maintenance checks?

AMC Theatres concession stand

I understand a handful of AMC branches are trying a new format for buying items at the popcorn section. You 1st have to go up to machine like a atm machine to put a order in. Before I could get a large popcorn, pay up and be done under 2 minutes tops! Now with the new format there are long lines on the 4 machines. Then there are very long lines waiting for there order ( with kids and family all scattered in a big mess). If AMC is taking notes about this new idea? ! It's not working . Never mind when Summer kicks in when school is out! It is so not working, and it's annoying! Other customers I spoke with are angry about this new style... to the point it's not worth getting popcorn with our weekly visit. If you think this will work and save time to make it easier for the patron(s), you are wrong.

AMC Theatres amc cinema olentangy river rd columbus ohio

After waiting for 15 mins in line to buy 2 tickets, we were directed to the incorrect cinema. The movie being shown was not shown anywhere near the theater entrance so we sat thru 10 minutes of the wrong film.
Our theater smelled of urine and the rest rooms had no toilet paper.
I addressed these conditions to the manager, to which she replied "we thought we had that smell corrected". She also admitted the place was filthy and offered us free passes. I declined the offer.
After paying $12 each to see the movie of which we missed the first 10 minutes, we were very disappointed in the condition pf this building and the attitude of the manager.

AMC Theatres food

It seems no matter what theater I chose or time of day I go you food offerings are always out of stock, whether it's simply hotdog which is always the case, I always get the answer well it take over an hour for them to cook.. So why do you always wait till you run out to restock them.. I am so feed up I will not be back, and that means over an avg of over $100 for tickets each time I come with my family

AMC Theatres one hour blank screen between movies in a double feature.

Watching the Zombieland double feature. First movie finished and... Nothing. Asked after half an hour and was told the next movie will start in half an hour. No previews or anything. Blank screen. They didn't tell us this when we came in. What a waste of time. Also their food is crazy expensive. Avoid this [censored]hole. Loads of staff standing around doing nothing.

AMC Theatres cleanliness of theater

Today I took my son to the Jersey Gardens theater to see Joker..we were so excited because for one it was his birthday and for another we were really looking forward to seeing the movie!
Upon looking for my parking space I couldn't help but notice the amount of litter in the lot. We proceed to the entrance and was ABSOLUTELY appalled at the filth at the entrance!
When approach the management about this (Nona) she was, omgosh, so terribly rude!
Her customers service skills are atrocious...
I have been brought up in the Marriott culture, for over 35years.
I have always stressed to my associates that guests should be valued and respected.
This woman would never work for me.
The way she spoke to me and the conditions of her theater was truly unfortunate.
I was there for an 11:45 show, if that helps you narrow down the management.
She flaunted the fact she was the M.O.D...
Your guests are of value and should be treated as such!
First impressions are so important!
The filth of your establishment should have been priority #1.

AMC Theatres your customer service

Hello. A few months ago, we found out that theaters were offering classic anniversary showings of old movies when we saw an ad for STAR TREK. We were able to see the movie in September, and Ghostbusters this past weekend. On September 18, we also made reservations to see 'Alien' at the Danbury AMC for October 13 at 4pm.
We were linked to 'Atom' (via the sponsor of the showings?) and purchased our tickets for Ghostbusters and Alien. We saw Ghostbusters without a hitch and were waiting to celebrate our wedding anniversary by seeing Alien -- we have our ticket confirmation and everything was fine. Then, this afternoon, we received an email from Atom stating that Danbury AMC changed the auditorium (I was schooled by your customer service when I said the 'theater' was moved) from 5 to 15. We tried to reprint our ticket with the new AUDITORIUM location, but could not. We called Atom customer service, who cancelled our tickets (FOR A FEE) and told us to rebook the seats. When we tried, we were informed that the show was sold out for 10/13 and the only day available was this Thursday; we can only go on 10/13. We tried several ways to get our 'new' tickets, no luck. The movie was not even listed on the Danbury AMC site. I tried to file a ticket for help on the AMC site, but it would not submit it as I didn't have the correct theater ID. ? I than saw the 'chat' function, and logged in to see if I could get some help. I didn't have to wait long, maybe 5 minutes, so kudos for that. Then for the next hour, I talked, then waited, then talked and waited, with your agent, Dionte. I've attached our conversation for your reference. Not only did Dionte not READ my input, he became rude and ruder. All I wanted was to find out how one minute we had two seats, booked three weeks ago, to having NO seats. I wasn't concerned about the refund/fee; we just wanted to see the movie. Isn't that was AMC does? Make people happy showing movies? We just wanted to see the silly movie on the only day we could go together, and have a silly date for our anniversary. We are huge movie fans, and due to medical bills and dual unemployment, don't get to the theater very often these days. It's silly, but seeing Star Trek, Ghostbusters and Alien, was supposed to be a silly treat for us and a silly splurge to see some movies we love. Alien just happened to be on the day before our anniversary, an extra silly treat. Then all this garbage happened. I don't care that Atom said our show was now sold out in AUDITORIUM 15; I don't care about the fee. I don't care who was responsible for WHAT. I just wanted to take my husband to one of his favorite movies; when it fell apart, I just wanted help to make it right. The rudeness was inexcusable. Then after a few hours of looking, Alien showed up on Danbury AMC's site again. It was not there when all this garbage started. We ended up fixing it ourselves. No help from AMC. It may seem silly to your 'customer service' but it was important to me. I hope your agents get a review on how to help people. Just found out that your system does not accept .doc or .pdf. AMC Theatres customer service

we have to stand in line for 30 minutes with 1 or 2 registers open. then they let the stubbs card people in front of us-like we are second class citizens. it tkes everyone three times as long at the ticket window-as you now have to choose seats. we tried to go inside to purchse our ticketd-and were told we don't sell tickets in here any longer. we will never go back to an amc theatre again. hollywood cinemark is cheaper — we re not passed up in line by others-there are recliners in the regular theaters — we can buy tickets on line at no cost-we can just choose a seat when we enter-and we do not have to buy a stupid card that we have no use for! so this is a no brainer! you have just run off 6 19 year customers in my family — and good riddance to you!
