Hello I'm In NY as any body here I was approached by Ambit energy marketing consultant
and told that if I switch to ambit energy i would be saving here and there iand it was true the firs two months, , because my bills from ConEd were from $80 to $105 and then i paid the firts month $67 i said wao what a saings the secon was $87 then $125 estimate only i did not switch right away then i got a bill the fourth month i got a bill of $925 because the told me some bolony that i had used more electric than the one i paid and I call ambit energy they said because the previews bill were estimated, and things like they werent able to read the meter bla, bla and i had to pay

The bottom line is that in 4 months i paid more than $1000 for a small apt in NY a 2 br I believe it wasn't worthy trying it good luck for those that really get the things that ambit energy promise

I am investigating Ambit for the purpose of joining their consultant organization. As I read the complaints above I am horrified by the spelling and grammar mistakes and the use of text spelling over correct spelling. It is interesting that those who complain the worse are the worst letter writers, spellers, etc. Perhaps this is part of their problem? It is a very sad day in our history where so many people are becoming increasingly illiterate. It's no wonder that the world no longer looks to the USA as the best place on earth. SMH!

Well, I got brainwashed by someone abt signup ambit energy and help save money on gas/electric bill... Amen, received bill 2 mths ago it was 500 dollars for it! My bill usually under 1 hundreds dollar but wow ambit enegry cost me 500 dollars ! I called and complained and they said oh not worry abt it u have to pay for that and every monthly u have to pay ambit energy with PSEG included. Thats turn me off and I told them I want that removed of my bill and refund back bec that s crazy to pay too much money on ambit energy every month! save? no, i still pay for it. there nothing to save as (discounted or -) on my bill from ambit energy. They keep add costly on me every months. Thank god I stopped it and My bill last mth was 150 dollars better than paid 500 dollars for an apartment that i live in! SCAM!

AMBIT ENERGY being the A+ with the BBB has never FAILED anyone .They are there to save you money, They also give back to their customers when other companies claim they do research them . The ones who claim AMBIT ENERGY has done them wrong need to be looked into because they probably failed them self by not paying theyre bill or not working the business the way AMBIT ENERGY has trained them too. AMBIT ENERGY has a well respected way of doing the business and is growing very fast each year . The people who actually look into this business and go to meetings and events will get the most out of AMBIT ENERGY. Every business has competitors that love to down size Great business by writing things that are not facts to comment section because they are concerned for there own business. So I ask you keep and open mind when you are asked to see a presentation for AMBIT ENERGY follow thru at seeing the plan at a meeting ask question there. STAY POSITIVE DONT BE NEGATIVE.

Ambit billing practices are suspect to say the least and at best completely incompetent. 6-months after leaving my apartment and turning-off the utilities I get a letter saying I owe $920.00. This is after getting a refund from NYSEG for over $3, 000.00 for overcharging me for 3-years. Stay away from any Ambit "Business Owners" and their services. Chances are they're every bit incompetent as the company they represent.

With all due respect to you and the fact that I do not know the actual facts other than what you described, but can I ask if you were on Level Billing with PSEG before you switched? If so you may have had a debit balance that need to be paid off. Also, did you chose the variable rate or fixed rate from Ambit? Fact is the Fixed Rate is about 15% cheaper than PSEG? Did you get a clarification as to why the bill was higher? If not, did you file it with BBB or just post a complaint on this unfiltered unvalidated complaint site?

Why don't you learn how to spell? I've noticed that half you whiners on here can't spell AT ALL. But, back to Ambit Energy...
We have an 'A' Rating by the Better Business Bureau, which means, in part, that any and all complaints against our company have been addressed and resolved.
Ambit Energy wants to satisfy all of its customers and consultants, so next time call the company like a professional person and share your problem with them, they Ambit will resolve the matter quickly. Don't run to an internet complaint board and start typing away.

Your local delivery provider (in your case, ConEd) reads your meter and reports that usage to Ambit for rating and billing. We do not impact or change the amount of energy that the delivery provider tells us you consumed. It sounds like you had several months of “true-ups” from estimated readings, and that can certainly impact your bill negatively. Please know that with our guaranteed savings you will save over what ConEd would have charged you for the same usage!
