Amana Brand review: Amana Dryer

On May 4th 2026 I purchased the Amana gas dryer from lowes 5600 David Cox Rd charlotte nc 28269. The dryer delivered on May 5th 2026 and was installed May 20th 2026 by Smartfix Appliance I needed vent work done in the crawl space and Lowes said there installers did not do that type of work. I used the dryer later that week and left for a week and a half. I used the dryer again in beginning of June and notice it took about 8 hours for clothes to dry I called Whirlpool on June 25 2026, they scheduled a tech from Advance Appliances Service who came out on July 1st He said the Thermostat, gas value, and furnace needed to be replaced. Same tech returns on July 9th 2026 to fix again with the new parts this time he said he needed and LP converter to fix the dryer another thermostat, and a burner assembly. Tech returns again on July 21st to fix, this time he needs a new igniter. Tech returns again on July 27 to fix, this time he said OOPs he accidently broke the igniter and had to order a new one and it would be two days well it will be 3 weeks when they get back out Aug. 19th 2026. I called and spoke to multiple people about a new dryer and the negligence of the company and the fact I was sold a Lemon Dryer, it never worked. I spoke with an agent name Gina in Michigan apart of customer service warranty she said NO replacement. I asked for higher up she said someone from the de-escalation team would contact me someone name Sasha ref. 23986559 said No we not replacing your dryer because all the repairs are on the same ticket. They did not give a care and lowes was no better the assistant manager James Middleton at a lowes said NO and he told a customer service agent to tell me No we are not talking it back. So I have no working dryer as of today and it has been 4 months. Horrible experience from both Lowes and Whirlpool
