Booked a hotel a week ago, payment day came, and Agoda's payment gateway completely failed. We tried three credit cards from three different international banks and all showed unsuccessful. Our banks confirmed Agoda never even sent a payment request attempt.
We spent 6 hours on support with 3 different agents. They couldn't process it manually either and eventually just stopped responding, ignoring our supervisor escalation requests twice. We warned them our booking would expire at midnight, but they let it cancel anyway. The final agent message was: "reservation cancelled. NO PENALTY."
Our family flies overseas in days and now the room costs double the price to reserve. Agoda's platform bugs and negligent support cost us our vacation rate. Do not trust them.
