aetna and CVS are the same company. The OTC "benefits" can only be used at CVS, which is frequently higher priced than other options. Basically, it is a store credit, not real money.
The same benefits card provides another "benefit" for paying out-of-pocket medical costs, but it expires quarterly. So, if you go most of the year healthy, but then have several expenses in one quarter, too bad, so sad, since most of the so-called "benefits" have expired and can't be used.
This whole setup is a borderline deceptive / fraudulent system designed to look great but provide as little actual benefit as possible.
Recommendation: My recommendation? Find another insurance provider who actually provides insurance instead of "Kohls Cash"
