PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW OF THIS SCAM COMPANY!

DO NOT purchase from this company. If you do not stipulate 'pay-as-you-go' option during payment, they will automatically sign you up for 'membership'. This 'membership' will charge you $39.95 a month even if you do not purchase from them again! Luckily I spotted this on the day they took the first $39.95 out of my account. I called immediately and was (understandably) very angry. I spoke with Leidy, who had an attitude (I suppose I wouldn't blame her as she has to be on the defensive all day from angry customers). She did however, cancel my membership and refund me and I received an email confirming this (which I have saved in case there are other issues - I read one review where the customer was told her membership was cancelled, but there was STILL $39.95 taken the next two months without her consent). Below I outline some details about Adore Me, to that consumers can be aware of who they are dealing with.

I have read other stories which were not so straight forward as my case above. Read the MANY complaints on Site Jabber;
http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.adoreme.com

There are also over 80 complaints made against them on the Better Business Bureau website so far THIS YEAR, most of which are with regards to billing without consent (yes, you've guessed it, VIP membership scam);
http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/Business-Reviews/online-retailer/adore-me-inc-in-new-york-ny-136513/complaints#breakdown

What is going on here may be legal (just about), but it is IMMORAL and I'm presuming a large portion of the company's profits are from this oversight on the customers part. Yes customers should read the fine print, but at the payment point it is so vague - they offer you two separate prices (obviously the membership price is lower) - of course people are going to choose the cheaper, especially when it says there is no membership fee! Read this article from Business Insider which details what I would call a SCAM;
http://www.businessinsider.com/vip-subscription-ecommerce-sites-2013-8

To add to this - it has been suggested elsewhere that the 'boutique' lingerie they offer is simply the same old stuff offered by all other lingerie stores, so you are not even getting anything special. I can't make a comment on this as I don't know the industry well enough, but this lingerie specialist seems to know what she is talking about;
http://www.thelingerieaddict.com/2013/06/adore-me-lingerie-review.html

Overall, if I could give them 0 stars I would. And I never write reviews (really, NEVER!), but it irked me greatly because there are so many innocent customers out there getting scammed. Yes, Leidy pointed out (when I asked her if she thought it was immoral) that there are many other subscription sites that do the same thing, I suggested to her - with that logic, it could be argued that it's OK to steal from someone because others are doing it. And that is what Adore Me are doing in my opinion... STEALING.

I hope that customers read this before they purchase, and not afterwards. Although I'm guessing the majority of people will only read this after they have had a cruel surprise in their checking account!

I was subscribed to the elite box, every month they would take $20 of my credit card stating a returned item was damaged, which it was not true, they did this to me 3 times until I finally had to cancel because they were just stealing from me, is this is not considered a crime, I dont know what is

Shameless grotesque scam. Signed up for nothing! Asked not to receive notifications or promotions of any kind. Was bombarded with promotions and texts even after unsubsxrubing from every list. And was then charged 39.95 out of the blue to my credit card! Which will happen EVERY MONTH till you figure out/take the time to to cancel. Will NEVER EVER buy from Abhor Me again!

PLEASE DO READ: I just recently made a purchase to AdoreMe on the 8th of January, 2017; my payment went thru on the 9th--- over $100.00 in merchandise which I was very excited to make my purchase because I did not read any reviews yet until after the fact.
On the website, it says orders are received and processed within two to three days... now mine had been processing for about six days before I sent the the first e-mail to customer support... to which I only got an automated response. For the last three days I've sent e-mails and had not heard back even an automated reply this time so I called customer support to see what was going on.
After calling twice I finally got through to which the woman said she didn't know why my order was still just processing or why no one had responded to my e-mails and she would look into the matter and e-mail me back. Now I had gotten a prompt e-mail back from her explaining that she still did not know why my order was only still processing but that she would let me know when it did go through to be shipped... now I sent her an e-mail back as quickly as she responded asking that they just cancel my order and refund my money because I was not happy with the process and didn't even want the product anymore... no e-mail back... I e-mail again... nothing...
So I call up again and get through right away to another woman who told me that "unfortunately at this time, there is no way to refund my purchase even though my order has not yet shipped and there is nothing that I or she can do about it." So they took my money right away and even though my order has not yet been processed or shipped, I cannot cancel my order even though it has been over a week and nothing has happened aside from them taking my money. I'm even afraid to cancel my account because god forbid I need to return the merchandise and they will probably give me just as hard a time anyways. She gave me a $10 voucher towards my next purchase which I would love to have told her to stick it you know where but I know there really isn't anything they can do about it and I'm sure, based on the reviews I've now read, that they get this all day, every day.
So now I am stuck $100.00 out, with no way to get my money back and no merchandise or any idea on when I will or if I will ever see said merchandise... also-- the reviews they share on their website are fake-- there is no where to write your own review and I thumbs downed them all and when I came back to the page they were all back to the same numbers...
NEVER AGAIN-- THIS COMPANY IS NOT GOOD AND HAD I READ THE REVIEWS FIRST I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN TRIED... BETTER OFF STICKING WITH VICTORIA'S SECRET i AM SO PISSED OFF AT THE WAY I'VE BEEN TREATED HERE.

Adore Me has immoral business practices. I have to call each month to cancel "my membership" even though I was told it was "cancelled" three months ago. Ironic that I must cancel something on a monthly basis the first week of every month for a membership I never signed up for. Every month, they bill me again. Every month I have to call ad spend a week just getting my newest credit. Beyond Frustrating!

I read above that someone said we're stupid for not seeing the membership agreement upon placing first order. I can promise you it was not there when I placed my first and only order on my cell phone. I also know someone who had a similar experience using a tablet. If you are interested in knowing what you're getting into as a first time buyer I strongly suggest you place your order on a lap top or desktop computer. This is the only thing I can thank Adore Me for, teaching me to never make a purchase, as a first time buyer off of my mobile phone.

Although they have responded to my e-mails, Adore Me's customer service reps respond in a manner that shows they don't read my e-mails nor care about what I have to say. They still address me as a member and tell me if I cancel my membership I won't be able to use my unused credits {that I never authorized them to charge me for}. Like I want to be their customer?!

In the meantime this company cannot get their act together and they definitely are scammers. I have finally contacted my credit card company and asked them to block this merchant as an unauthorized merchant. I will also contact the BBB, as suggested above, to make sure I get the most current charge credited back to my account.

Customer service is supposed to find a resolution for the customer. Instead, I think they enjoy frustrating their customers to either ensure job security or hone the next agent's customer service skills. I hate this company!

I completely encourage you not to shop Adore Me.

These people billed me $39.95 for the past 14 months without my permission! I only bought one item from them and I DID NOT sign up for any vip yer they put me down as such WITH OUT MY PERMISSION! I have Emailed, called ect them several times and they have not given me my money back for only 3 of the 14 months they owe me. As I was doing all this they have been still been billing me! I have contacted my bank as well! I would love any advice or help I am on a really low income and I did not nor would I ever sign up for a membership! My physical health is not good and this is causing me unneeded stress as well as expense that I could be putting towards my medical bills! I JUST WANT THE MONEY THEY STOLE FROM ME BACK!

I ordered from the Adoreme.com site three set of bra/panty. When I received the merchandise it was too small. The site states true to size and that is what I ordered my bra and panty size that I would usually wear in the garments if I had purchased from a department store. I called and requested a return which was granted and approved. The items were sent back, unworn and in the original packaging and shipping box within a week of receiving them. They received my returned items a week later. I waited another week and called to inquire about my refund to my bank card. At this time the CSR advised me it had yet to be processed and to call back in two weeks. I again called today to speak to a CSR about my $149.85 refund. I was informed that although the company determined the items had not been worn, they deemed them "dirty". How can they be dirty if I could barely try them on and placed them immediately back in the packaging? I was also inform I would receive neither a refund or a credit. Really? For returning unworn perfectly returned merchandise? A company that has it's items returned and refuses to refund $149.85. I don't even want a credit from this company. I will never buy anything from them nor any other company associated with Adoreme.com. Your merchandise is not true size, poorly made, and your customer service policies are fraudulent. I have pruchased many items from other online merchants and shopping networks and never encountered policies as yours . I have contacted my bank and the BBB and filed a complaint against Adoreme.com and I will be receiving my $149.85 back to my bank account one way or another!

I have sent 2 emails to get my question answered on a return - how it was calculated and also they stated 1 item damaged - not sure how as it was only taken out of package to look at. No response from company.

on my 3rd email back and no response still. Claims that I damaged an item because it had a tear in the fabric. Not sure how this happens as I only looked at the product, size and color and decided to return. So ladies be aware of issues that you might damage something that could have been shipped from the manufacture in that condition. They take your money and the product as well.

I signed up for the Adore me Account thinking that it was going to be a great online store to shop, soon I found out when you buy first set it'll be $24.95 with free shipping, and then when your done buying . When its the first of the month you have this thing called the showroom you see, you have the first of the month to the 5th if you don't skip the month they will take $39.95 for the VIP I did not sign up for that account. They will charge the $39.95 on your card and it will appear on your Adore Me account as store credit. When I found that out, I looking for the deactivate account on the site there wasn't none so I sent an email saying to deactivate this account I no longer need this account, it took them awhile to email me back I called them they had me on hold for 33 minutes the first time I called someone picked up she had a very nasty attitude. Second time I called the girl acted like she did not want to be on the phone I was asking her can she delete the account on her side of the computer she said she can't do that she said I was unsubscribed from the account I only unsubscribed from getting the emails I can still sign into the account I do not want that I wanted this account to permanently deleted I don't even want to be able to sign in the account but I still can I don't want that . I never made an purchase from there when I signed up so when I was reading more on the Adore Me website that's when I didn't want the account anymore. Here Are the emails.

Hi my name is Anniestagia Harrison, can you delete my account I nolonger need it.

Hello,

Thank you for your message! We're sorry to hear you'd like to unsubscribe!

Our VIP members are never obligated to order each month, instead, they visit the site between the first and fifth and choose to either shop or skip that month. There is no membership fee either.

VIP members enjoy many perks and benefits ($10 off on every set, easy refund, payment vacation, etc), but we understand a flexible lingerie membership is not for everyone. Please note that we offer two payment options during checkout so if you’d like shop with us again, simply choose Pay As You Go for our one-time-option.

To unsubscribe ONLINE from the VIP membership or learn more about the benefits of membership, please visit our online helpdesk ( www.adoreme.com/helpdesk ) and follow the instructions.

Please be logged in when you use this link. You will find a quick quiz to see if you understand the membership, and then you will be offered the Payment Vacation. If you refuse you will be provided with the unsubscribe button and will receive a message that you have unsubscribed successfully.

Unused credits will be forfeited if your Adore Me membership is canceled. Your account must be in good standing to be eligible to redeem your credits.

We strongly suggest that you use your remaining store credit before you cancel your VIP membership.

Best,

I'm not going to call anyone "dumb" or stupid", that is futile. But when it comes to internet sites that need users to sign up to be a "member", I always shake my head, when people complain. Because of technology allowing us to do things quickly, everyone is in such a hurry anymore and we now have become an "immediate gratification society"! But here's the biggest problem...with that immediate gratification, 99.1% never read sites "TOS-Terms of Service" or "TOU-Terms of Use"! Each sites policies, they are required by law to post. They just check the box that they "agree and read the TOS". BUT they actually haven't read it. "Adore Me" site is not different! I went through the sign up process, but I'm the .9%. I read sites and Adore Me's TOS, clearly states in full details, the ways shop. "VIP Member", Vacation" which has no limits of months to be on. or "Shop As You Go". There are people on this thread complaining about DL'ing(downloading) Adore Me app. Also another serious privacy issue, because of "immediate gratification", people will download apps on their electronics, without reading, what "access" you are allowing the app to have, in regards to whatever electronics you are putting it on. So many apps want access to things, that they really don't need, for consumers to use their app, but they want it anyways and get it from the 99.1%, such as your camera, contact list, call list, text messages, microphone, location and many other items on users electronics, again that they really don't need, for the reason users are DL'ing the apps. And of course, when users actually find out, about the UN-needed access, they complain, but it's their fault, for not taking simply a few minutes to read the apps "access". So, "here's your sign!" ;) LOL

Adore Me has by far the worst customer service I have ever come across. I have contacted Adore Me three times via email in regards to cancelling my VIP membership and have received no response. I have tried calling and have been put on hold for 30-45 minutes at a time. This is ridiculous.

It sounds to me like the writer (and several commenters) don't know how to pay attention to detail. When you bought or rented your domicile you actually READ the contract you were signing, correct? When you buy from other websites you always verify that the information is correct, don't you? YOU ARE STUCK ON STUPID! Grow up and stop blaming other people for your mistakes; take ownership of them.

Well I guess I am "dumb" as someone stated I ordered my bra & panty online & didn't see all the fine print ppl r talking about if they are going to charge $40 a month that should b in big bold letters I ordered my first bra & panty for $19.95 but the bra was way too small I actually don't think they carry my size as I'm big chested so the charge for $39.95 a month is even more irritating because I can't choose anything from their online store. I just saw the first $40 charge for this month December it is the weekend so I can't call I did write an email & will call them Monday. I hope they r willing to cancel my membership & give me a refund.

I too was scammed. The worst part about this is that I felt BULLIED into spending my store credit so these thugs would stop charging my bank account on a monthly basis. You see, I wanted to cancel my VIP membership, but then discovered that by canceling my VIP membership I WAS FORFEITING THE STORE CREDIT THAT I DIDN'T EVEN WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE! Let me repeat that in another way, by telling them to stop taking money from me on a monthly basis, I would forfeit to them the money that I was already bamboozled out of because they took at least 2 months worth of 39.95 without me noticing. So I just spent the money I had accumulated on crappy, shoddy bras that I didn't want or need just so I could cancel my membership and be done with these people forever. I'm disappointed in myself that I was taken by these people. You know, I tried calling them, and I got a message that their phones were not working properly and I should call Time Warner to complain? As if their phone issues were somehow my problem. Truly, I question the legality of all this. Live and learn, I guess. Personally, I'll never purchase another bra from them place again, and I'll never stop telling anyone I know about what a terrible experience this has been.

Terrible! Why would any company think that this is a good idea? I can't imagine why anyone would want to have unauthorized charges show up on their credit card for no reason. I made one purchase from Adore Me approximately a month ago, and they charged me an additional $39.95 for no reason. I called my bank to report possible fraudulent activity on my credit card and my bank said that I have to try to deal with Adore Me first. Very frustrating! I will never buy from a company that does this, it's a terrible business model and it makes me not trust them at all. I didn't know that I would get recurring charges from them after making only one purchase. What a scam! Very frustrating! I don't want anything to do with them.

Unlike most of the comments listed, I knew what I was signing up for and I do love the product. HOWEVER the customer service is repulsive. I can't really even call it customer service. It's just people answering the Adore Me phones to make customers even more angry than they were before calling. I have spent close to $1000.00 on the lingerie and have only had 2 issues. First issue was with the shipping. I paid an extra $20 to receive my order within 2 days. I received it 6 days later. When I called to inquire I was given the run around about so many days to order, so many days to process, so many days with the carrier and so on. Now, the issue I had with that answer was that my order confirmation email said will be delivered on Friday. That would have been accurate for 2 day shipping. I received the order the following Tuesday. So from then on I just stuck with the standard shipping because it arrived in the same amount of time anyway. Second issue I had was with their sizing. You have to really know that their sizing is S-M-L for small, medium and large people. And then they have S-M-L for XL, XXL and 3X. Don't bother looking at the pictures of the models either because while you can tell when a bra is for a DD or DDD, some of the lingerie looks like it's for the small, medium and large women. Not the XL, XXL and 3X. An honest mistake. When I called I was expecting to be able to just swap it out for my real size. The order was still in the processing stage after all. Not so much. So I ordered $80 worth of stuff, was offered a $5.00 credit and was told to give the item as a gift to someone in my life who is extra, extra large. The customer service rep had a bite to her tone... probably because she had been getting complaints all day long about their shady policies... so I got a bite to my tone. Not only would I not buy lingerie for someone, I certainly wouldn't hand over something that says Small- Extra Large to anyone. For the Adore Me rep to even suggest such a thing was crazy. So MAKE SURE every thing you order is completely accurate before placing the order, or within 30 minutes of ordering, or you will be stuck with it. Don't accidentally wait an hour like I did before realizing I had ordered an Extra Large Small, which makes absolutely no sense to me. Again, I have loved everything I have purchased, and this won't keep me from ordering from them again, but their customer service and policies really need to be adjusted to help the consumer, not the company. Maybe if their policies were more consumer friendly perhaps their reps wouldn't have to show up to work on the defensive because they already know the day will be filled with angry customers.

People need to read first and not blame others later for their impulsivity. I signed up last week and knew that I was signing up for the VIP option. I understood, based on the information provided on the screen where I chose my payment options, that I did not have to buy every month. At the checkout screen, you choose your payment options. YES, it defaults to VIP. You must read. Below the VIP membership and perks information was a link to "What do I need to do as a VIP" It was there that I found that all I needed to do was visit the site before the end of the 5th day of the month to shop or skip. If I forgot to shop or skip, I would be charged $39.95 that will be saved as a store credit for later purchase. HOWEVER, as long as I logged on and chose to SKIP before the end of the 5th business day, I would NOT be charged. All of this information was provided in a succinct format right on the screen where I chose my payment option. {COPIED AND PASTED FROM THE CHECKOUT SCREEN} P.S. AT THIS POINT OF CHECKOUT ADOREME.COM HAS NONE OF MY INFORMATION

VIP PERKS
$10 OFF any set, any time!
Your first style for $19.95
Every 6th set is on us!
Free U.S. shipping & exchanges.
It is membership based but you can skip. You don’t have to buy every month.

What do I need to do as a VIP? (THIS IS A CLICKABLE LINK)
1.Visit your showroom between the 1st and the 5th of each month, then either shop or skip the month.
2.Don’t worry, we’ll send you reminder emails to let you know when your monthly showroom is ready!
3.If you don’t shop or skip, you’ll be charged a $39.95 store credit you can use anytime.

Upon further investigation in the terms and conditions, I felt that it was even more clear that all you had to do was SKIP if you did not want new lingerie or a store credit. If you do not have the time to do this every month, CHOSE THE PAY AS YOU GO option at checkout. Additionally, I don't know how it could be possible to forget because they text and email a ton (kind of annoying, but at least I won't forget). Below is exactly what it says in the terms and conditions {COPIED AND PASTED}:

Your only obligation as a VIP member is to visit the site between the 1st and 5th of each month, then decide if you want to shop an item or skip that given month. Customers may skip an unlimited amount of months (consecutive or not).

VIP members who do not shop or skip before the 6th day of each month (11:59:59 p.m. EST), will be charged $39.95 and will receive the same amount in store credit. Members may redeem this credit on AdoreMe.com at any time. VIP members who do skip the month (before the 6th day 11:59:59 p.m. EST) may change their minds and are free to shop any item in their showroom throughout the month. Please note this is an automatic billing, and members who do not participate in the active membership may accumulate store credits.

This Company is BS I purchase a few items for my girl in August and credit card was charged $39.95 twice September and October. I never gave authorization, ordered or received any product I called for a refund and was told I can only have half back as this company is a subscription base company. THIS IS A LIE!

On 10/16/2015 on there facebook page this was posted: ( Kimberly Colvin Baker Would love just to make purchase with no membership fee charge monthly)

Adore Me Reply: ( Adore Me Hi Kimberly, no worries! We have two payment options at checkout. Just click the pay as you go option if you'd prefer to make a one-time purchase. You can find more information here: http://www.adoreme.com/how_it_works)

All this company wants is your money THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE with that statement above I should have received a full refund As a Local Business owner in the SF Bay Area if I ran my business like this I would be out of business
Stay away from this company they don't care about you just the bottom line dollar

Around Valentine's day, I made what I thought was a one time purchase on this company's website after seeing a tv commercial that advertised $25 lingerie. The purchase seemed like any other lingerie purchase, in no way did it obviously state that it was a subscription service, nor did it imply that in order to get the discount you had to subscribe. Fast forward to today, I saw a 39.95 charge in my bank account and was told that this was a recurring charge! I reported to my bank as a theft, because I had no idea they had been charging my card 40 a month since February! I never received any products, other than the 25 purchase I made in February, and that purchase was a bust because the product that arrived was already ripped at the seam and was supposed to be a size 2x but wouldn't even fit around my 4 year old daughter's waist I assume., so I never reordered. ( I did not send it back or complain then, because I figured it would cost almost as much to return so I just ate the what I thought was a one time charge.) Unbeknowst to me I have unwillingly been paying $40 a month for the "privledge" of buying crappy lingerie. I called and told the lady I thought there was an error and she told me I had subscribed to some monthly service which I denied and she said it stated this in the welcome email. I reread the welcome email and although it does, (In a non obvious way.) mention that you can subsribe, it doesn't show anything that looks like I had picked that option, other than to call me a VIP, which almost every other store does. She stated that they have sent me monthly emails (advertisements!) And that even though I had not received products, I had built store credit, which of course I would forfeit after I canceled. She would not refund the over 240 dollars in fees, and would only remove the current month's bill. Very unethical way to conduct business and the customer service rep was very rude and the product itself was shotty and not even close to the size I ordered.

Just received my first order from Adoreme.com, they were much too small even though I ordered a size larger due to other reviews. When trying to return, I saw in light, small text below the items that they were final sale items and could not be returned. Then saw these reviews about the membership charges. I called, got right through, cancelled VIP membership, and am waiting for the email confirmation. After reading the above, I will be checking my bank account to make sure no further charges appear. The woman who answered and cancelled for me was not interested in why cancelling, sounded bored and probably gets these calls all day long...

Unfortunately saw this complaint only after shopping once at adoreme and noticing the second $39.95 monthly charge. Could not believe at first that a "reputable" company could do something counter productive. Fist of all, the charge appears under adoremeaskadoreme.com website, which is a questionable data recovery company, I was sure, the card was stolen. Second, there was no email notifications informing of the charge or any kind of emails confirming the membership of the charges. This is unbelievable. I'm filing a complaint with bbb, wonder where else I could complaint to make this illegal.

I just found out that I have been charged monthly for you dont even want to know how long so immediately (thanks to these comments) I contacted the bbb, cancelled my subscription, and asked for the one month refund. In my bbb complaint I stated I wanted a full refund for all the months I've been charged so I am hoping this is possible. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the bbb to respond?

I was attempting to cancel my membership by phone and was waiting for over an hour, then I found this www.adoreme.com/helpdesk?cc-ref=21255000 it a link to cancel your membership online. It has you take a quiz so you understand the deals you're missing out on and then sends you to 3 different pages of all the deals you are going to miss if you leave. They are supposed to send an email after you cancel that confirms the cancelation.

I started Adore Me last year and wasn't 100% sure what the VIP was about. It wasn't until I noticed the charges from my bank account that I realized what had happened. Unlike what I've read here I was able to reach a rep right away and they offered to cancel my subscription and give me a complete refund (I had gone 4 months without a skip...so quite a refund) or I could just use the store credit. In the end I used the store credit for three reasons.

1) The products are pretty awesome. It's lingerie that is well made and less expensive than if I went to a store to get something I would consider "fancy". I've never had a problem, and I even had a super easy time returning for a new size when one set didn't fit.
2) Going off of that; the reps were very nice and helpful with canceling my VIP and helping me with returns. I never had to wait more than five minutes to talk to someone and they really did seem to care (and clearly they are used to people not understanding the service cause they had the information down)
3) It clearly states in the terms that the VIP is a recurring thing. It gives you the option of a one time buy or a cheaper VIP special. I know most of you decided to get the special cause why not save $20, but the terms clearly let ou know you'll be charged and you definitely get the emails. I didn't cause I used an older email address I never check.

Overall I don't have or see a real problem other than the need for customers to actually read the terms of the VIP membership. It's clear on the website and before the purchase. The products are nice, my experience with customer service was great (and lets be honest, you might not have to deal with them unless you make the mistake of misreading the VIP section.) And over all I think it's a pretty cool business.

Sad part is I probably would have ordered more from them if I didn't have the membership fee shoved down my throat...I disputed the fee with my credit card and was able to cancel one of the months online. Let's see where this goes now...

My husband purchased something on the adoreme site, and today found out about the $39.95 charge. I attempted to call and of course long waits...however, I emailed them and received this response...
To unsubscribe ONLINE from the VIP membership or learn more about the benefits of membership, please visit our online helpdesk (www.adoreme.com/helpdesk) and follow the instructions.

if you go to the www.adoreme.com/helpdesk it actually gives you an option to go on vacation...you can tell them you are not interested, and it brings you to a screen where you can unsubscribe.

I checked his account after going through this and it shows we are unsubscribed.
Hopefully that helps you all!

This company is a RIP-OFF! I called on 1/12 because there was a $39.95 charge on 12/12 and learned I was a VIP member and I did NOT purchase a bra last month! After a 20 minute hold I was credited for the $39.95. (Also noted I couldn't remove my credit card number... pretty convenient!)
Well I got my credit card statement for January and on 1/8 there was a charge for $39.95, so I called and after a 30 minute hold was told that she credited my 1/8 charge (NOT the 12/12 charge) on 1/12!
What a piece of work! Why didn't she mention that?
I am putting a dispute through on my credit card. The company is certainly getting rich issuing credits to your on-line account via your own credit card!
How many bras does one need?

they did this to me for six months before i noticed. all i wanted was a pair of tights and instead of giving me my money back they forced me to purchase their lousy product with the money they had stolen. and i really wasn't happy with the product: horrible fit and kind of cheesy looking. i don't wear any of it. there's one piece of lingerie that looked great online but looks like something a cowgirl prostitute/ stripper would sport. i'll stick to victoria secret thank you very much. and the reviews on their site are all filtered before being posted, totally dishonest company.

A friend of mine was ordering from here during a special, so I went online too. Then she saw some comment on a blog re the "monthly membership" . So when I was signing up, I read every page, every word, very carefully, two or three times. There was NO mention of any "membership". Even so, after I placed my order, a few days later I logged into my account and went through all the account info. STILL no mention ANYWHERE that I was signed into a monthly subscription. I ended up returning the item I purchased on sale, and instead of store credit they gave me a partial refund and charged a restocking fee of $5.95. Rip Off. I logged into my account again & finally saw something about "skipping" this month's selection. Since I never saw any word about any such subscription, I went ahead & said skip just to avoid charges. That was on the 2nd. Then I saw my bank statement had a $39.95 chargealready, on the 26th... even though my first purchase (& "sign up", unawares) was only 3 weeks ago! So this is definitely a SCAM company... unethical if not illegal. I am in the process of writing a letter to my State Attorney General and suggest that everyone else here do the same. (Thankfully, my bank is removing the charge & blocking all future charges from this entity)

Didn't realize it signed me up as VIP. Went back to order something else to see if I missed somewhere on the page that you can click to pay full price vs signing up for VIP and I couldn't find anything. SO basically it signs you up automatically which is BS. When I did realize I had the 39.95 charge for 2 months, I emailed and of course they said to call (which conveniently their "phone lines were down that day.") When I finally got through to them via telephone, they said I had to use my credit before I was able to cancel my account. I then gave in and used my credit and called back. THEN was told the shipment had to be complete before I could cancel. Now when my shipment gets here, it will likely be the next month and I will be charged the 39.95 again. Basically the cycle keeps continuing and it is ridiculous and impossible to get out of. I will never again order from this company regardless of how nice their stuff is. Certainly not worth the hassle!

I'm not a mean person, but this is by far the worst customer service I've ever received in my life. My requests were ignored on multiple occasions -- via phone, email.

After finding out that the VIP automatically bills my account every month, I called to try to get a refund. The woman told me I couldn't as it has already been a month, but she could refund the amount from the 2nd month... so I said fine and just cancel my subscription (Which by the way... many other women have also complained about. This needs to be more clear and less so in fine print.). I never received that refund. My email was ignored. Integrity of this company? No where to be found IMO -- not when a company essentially forces me to buy their damn items.

I stumble upon this looking for any horror stories about dealing with Adore Me before making a purchase. I thank OP for posting. I am not interested in their VIP. One time purchase with an awesome deal I am looking for, without VIP it is not a sweet deal.

I don't think anyone getting these charges is "dumb." First off, when you order using their mobile app, the site looks totally different, which is what I did. Maybe their website does have that information about the membership clearly stated at checkout, but I certainly did not see it on the app when I paid.
Also, even if the information is clearly displayed and the mistake is of the customer and not the company, that doesn't justify the horrible customer service and the fact that the employees are straight up lying by saying they cancelled someone's membership but then charging them again the next month. If it was a legitimate membership, your cancellation would not be that difficult. I work at a salon where we have memberships, and once you cancel, it's done. You will not be charged again. So I would consider anything that blatantly disregards your requests to stop all charges to be a SCAM. They also do not answer emails at all.

Like stated above I knew I was going to be charged $39.95 per month, but when going away to college I called to cancel this membership as I did not think I was going to be able to afford it on a regular bases. The lady said I was taken off...but the next month I was on there...I called again and she removed me AGAIN...and the following month guess what I'm still being charged. I originally called to cancel in July, IT is now november and I'm currently on hold to get my money back. This is ridiculus.
