As per other reviews I've read, this seems like a common occurrence with Adecco. I wish I would've read the reviews before ever agreeing to work for them. My agent is very unprofessional and seems lost 99% of the time. He is more interested in pointless small talk than any actual issues. I had more help from the woman I was assigned to work next to than him and she wasn't even a TEMP.
Right off the bat the way he emailed me about an assignment was absurd. He kept telling me all these details and asking if I was interested to which I responded several times saying I was. He then proceeded to respond each time he will talk to them about it. He would make it seem as though the job was mine and then every time emailed back saying he isn't sure. He played games for 3 weeks.
He gave me a tour and didn't really show the area I would be hired into. He was keener on showing me stuff he knew good and well I wasn't qualified for than the department he claimed would be the best area for me. Guess who had to figure everything out on their own? Me. His directions were vague, and he cannot comprehend simple stuff.
Then after being assigned there, he had his own office there and yet couldn't help me use the badge system.
After about a week I switched from the money card they gave me to my bank card and that's when it hit the fan. He told me he set up the direct deposit, and I would receive a deposit the following check but the one coming up would be a paper check. He failed to mention that the paper check was being sent all the way to FLORIDA, the headquarters, and then all the way back to where I am which is Wisconsin. He said it would arrive Friday/Saturday and it never did. I waited and waited before telling him it didn't come on Monday. Then everyday he came to my station to ask about updates and when I told him it didn't arrive, he didn't seem too worried about figuring it out. On Wednesday I asked if he could write me a new check and he said he couldn't. He called payroll and then finally cancelled the check which by the way still hasn't come from Florida. He claimed he was going to write me one on Wednesday and have it Thursday morning. Guess what day it is? Friday. Guess how many times I have called, emailed, showed up at his office? Probably around 8 times. He keeps putting it off and won't give me ANY information which is super unprofessional, but that's the kind of person I've dealt with from the start.
He made everything simple so difficult like he didn't really want to do his job. I tried giving him the benefit of doubt since he was nice but everything he said was empty promises and straight incompetence. I remained polite and understanding but when you ignore me and keep brushing off paying me the money I am rightfully entitled to, now we have an issue.
He also told me my assignment ended yesterday so how am I going to get the check now? If I do not receive any assistance in getting the paycheck I am rightfully owed I will be filing a complaint with the DWD and have someone investigate this. I will never work here again, and I could NOT recommend running from here enough!
Recommendation: Find another temp service. The customer service is atrocious and they clearly take on more than they can chew. Save the stress and the lawsuit costs!
