In 2023, I invested over LKR 1 million in three Haier AC units from Abans, expecting reliable performance and support. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but.
Right from installation, all three outdoor units displayed persistent vibrations — an issue I flagged immediately. Instead of addressing the root cause or replacing the faulty units, the team merely replaced the fan blades. This temporary fix failed to resolve the deeper problem.
Knowing this might escalate, I made it clear to the sales team that I would expect a full replacement if the issues continued, as the units were clearly substandard. Fast forward nearly two years, the ACs are now struggling to provide basic cooling. Even after being taken for testing, the problem persists.
What’s most frustrating is the repeated reluctance to offer a proper replacement and the reliance on ineffective, drawn-out fixes. This has been a deeply disappointing and exhausting experience — especially after such a significant investment. I can no longer recommend this product or the service that followed.
