We hired Busy Dog/Basement Technologies to demo and waterproof our basement. On 12/31 due to faulty/poor workmanship we were forced to evacuate our home. Per Mr *** the "seal" to the basement failed. The dust from the sanding of the walls in the basement escaped the basement and filled and covered 3 levels of living space. Initially calls were not returned. Mr *** was completely unprofessional. When conversations with Mr *** proved to be pointless we were contacted by Mr ***. We immediately asked for a Restoration company to clean the house, Mr *** came to our home to assess on 1/1. He accepted full responsibility on behalf of Busy Dog/Basement Technologies. Despite our request for a restoration cleaning company, on 1/3 they sent a house cleaning company consisting of 2 young women. Multiple phone calls later, they finally sent a restoration company.The restoration company had to send in reinforcements as Busy Dog told them it was a "dusting job". We had to remove all the bedding and clothing from our home and bring 27 contractor bags filled with the above noted to the laundry mat and dry cleaners, Repair companies had to be called to fix the water valve they had broken during demo and repair the dryer and furnace clogged with dust. We were displaced from our home for 5 days. We were told by Mr *** to save all receipts for expenses incurred and submit to Busy Dog. We submitted on 1/21. No acknowledgement of receipt was made until I inquired. On 1/22 Mr *** said he "was away and would review shortly". Three weeks later and still no response so another email was sent on 2/10. Still no response. Another email was sent on 2/18 informing them we would seek legal action. On 2/19 "***" called to tell us she was "directed to call" and let us know "***" would be calling us that afternoon or the next morning. Again nothing. On 2/21 my husband called Busy Dog and was told "*** was not available" . We notified and filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office on 1/24 as we have not had any contact with Busy Dog/Basement Technologies.
