Rhino Shield of North Carolina

We responded to a mailed ad for a 25yr warrantied paint job with RhinoShield. It was for exterior painting of a 1350 sf cottage, 1 story and 8 ft high walls. The smooth talikng salesman showed us samples of the primer and paint coating. I am 75 yrs old and did not want to paint again. The cost was $28,000 while a standard paint job with good paint would have been less than $5,000. The salesman said their painters were specially trained for the spray job. They sent a subcontractor to do the job. They rushed through the job in 4 days instead of the estimated 5 days. the next day I stareted looking close4ly and there were areas with no primer, as I could see the old house color through the new paint coat. The primer was very sparce, not like the sample I was shown. There were a few isolated locations of locations that received no paint. The doors were supposed to receive Rhino paint All the doors were streaky, pocked marked and the paint came off unto the weatherstripping. I called the foreman Arturo and he admitted they do not use Rhino on doors, even though it was specified in the contract. Came back and repainted doors with more streaky and pock marked slopped on paint and hit the no paint spots. On closer exam they had sprayed paint on the storm door glass and spilled paint all over the decks. I called him to come back and tried to fix things but it was still bad. I called Adam at Rhino and sent him photos. Adam came back and brought Arturo back for 2 days of corrective work. Adam found other deficienies on Arturos work and instructed him to fix it. Still looks unacceptable and I doubt the longevity of the work and product. There is still paint spiils and the weatherstripping on doors have paint all over. In the gable picture you can see how little primer they put on on the old blue grey paint. I have to get someone to sand the doors and properly paint them.

I got Rhino Shield to paint my brick house and also replace the gutters, which is happening this week. The crew that did the painting, Geo and Fernando, were really awesome to work with. They treated my property like it was theirs and took the time to answer all my questions. They stayed until the job was done, which I appreciate. Good job! Rhino Shield of North Carolina did a grate job on our historic home. They explained everything good during the quoting process and when it came time to do the work they made the house look grate! They took grate care in preparing the siding and windows, replaced some rotten siding to make it perfectly match the rest of the house, and when they were all done they cleaned up behind themselves good. We got a grate finished product that will preserve and project the house...and it looks grate too!

We're pretty satisfied with Rhino Shield up to now. The guy who put on the Rhino Shield did a great job. He was a really good worker. The only issue was: They didn't explain to us that since we have vinyl siding, we could only choose a light color because our house is light. They told us not to go dark, but medium was fine because they could go darker but not lighter. The boss advised us to go lighter because the siding would warp if we didn't, and if we didn't go lighter, we'd lose our 25-year guarantee.

Rhino Shield is definitely the way to go. They come in and do a fast, clean job that will last a whopping 25 years. We won't have to paint our house for a whole 25 years! When you think about it, the cost isn't too shabby at all. We had a couple of spots with rotten wood that needed fixing, and they had a carpenter to take care of it. No need for us to go searching for one. I was honestly surprised at how quickly they painted everything, cleaned up, and left everything looking as if no one had even been there doing any work. I highly recommend anyone with a wooden house to give them a look.
