Never sign a contract with this company! They are crooks and liars! They use deceptive and unfair sales practices!

Hurricane Ian hit our house in Cape Coral on September 23, 2022. Besides other significant damages, it destroyed our roof. We chose JA Edwards of America, Inc. because they promised the shortest repair time – 2 months. We were afraid of additional damage that rain could cause. We asked them for an estimate, but they refused to give one. Instead, they wanted to look at our insurance company's estimate and immediately asked for the indicated in it amount. We were very stressed by the damage caused by the hurricane and afraid of additional damage, which frequent rains would cause if we didn't repair our roof quickly. They manipulated us into signing the initial contract for 110781 USD by promising they would accomplish all work within two months. Later our general contractor told us that the price they asked for was double compared to the competition using the same material. Additionally, they would use much cheaper material than the one we had previously and on which the insurance estimate was based. We had a right to cancel this contract within three days. It was our plan, but before we did that, our general contractor spoke to them, and they sent us an amended contract for a decreased amount - 64 220 USD. We signed the second contract. Due to specific professional terminology, we didn't understand that we agreed to "assign all of the benefits from our insurance company"; it was never explained. So, we were shocked when they asked for 110 781 USD instead of 64220 USD in the end. Additionally, they never repaired our roof within two months. It took them nearly six months, and we got additional damage to our ceilings and mold due to rain. We were misguided and deceived by this company’s unfair sales practices. We have recently filed complaints to several organizations dealing with consumer protection and asked them to investigate their activities.

Had an amazing experience with Brent Y and JAEA. Brent walked through every step of the process and was involved with everything that was done. The roofing team was fast and did an excellent job replacing our damaged roof. They were always prompt and very friendly. New roof looks incredible and we couldn't be happier that we used JAEA. Would definitely recommend for any roofing needs.

By far the best experience I've had with a roofing company! The contractor Brent that I worked with was very professional through the whole process. Brent took care of this project like it was his own home and always made sure to follow up with us to make sure we were happy. The roof looks amazing and the crew did a great job with the clean up. I would highly recommend JAEA and Brent to anyone.

Our new roof looks fantastic! Due to wind/rain, there was damage to our roof and a bit of leaking occurred inside, so we contacted our insurance and then had someone from JA Edward come out to inspect and provide us with a quote. He also came out when the insurance sent out a field inspector. Roof replacement took about 1 1/2-2 days. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Thank you!

JA Edwards did a fantastic job replacing our roof. Tom was our project manager, he was very prompt and professional. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently, they took care of dealing with the insurance company, they were able to work around all of my plants without breaking any of them, and they even got us new gutters. Over all it was a great experience and would highly recommend JA Edwards.

Jonathon *** was honest, professional and a pleasure to work with! He really went the extra mile to help me with the process of getting approvals with the insurance company and community HOA. The work was performed as scheduled, the crew was professional and provided quality workmanship. The job was completed as promised and came with a one year transferable warranty. I am a new home owner and I would have to say this is the best experience I ever had with this company. Jonathan *** guided me throughout the process with my weird roof situation and made it very easy on my end by constantly staying in contact with my insurance to get them to fix my whole roof when initially they only gave me a check for $400. My roof came out great! I would def recommend this company to anybody in need of a roof!

Based on a referral from a friend, we contacted JA Edwards of America about replacing our roof. They sent out two representatives, inspected our roof, and determined we had wind and hail damage. Our representatives (Mike D. and Jordy) met with our insurance adjustor, worked out all of the details, and amazingly all we paid was the deductible. Mike D. and Jordy did a great job addressing any of our questions and concerns, and we love our beautiful new roof!

JA Edwards took great care of us throughout the entire roofing process. The final result is a beautiful roof over our heads and the confidence in quality workmanship and a solid product. Joe *** was our project manager. He did an exceptional job of walking us through the entire process from end to end. All coordination with our insurance company and project scheduling was flawlessly handled. He and his crew made what could have been a daunting process, extremely comfortable. We have recommended at least half a dozen other families to go with JA Edwards and haven't heard a complaint yet!

We had a 16 year old roof that was in need of replacement and also had some interior water damage. JA Edwards helped us in working with the insurance company and making sure that we were able to get the roof replaced and all the water damage repaired. Rahul *** did a great job of keeping his word and making sure that there were never any hidden costs in all the work that needed to be done, which was much more than we originally realized. We feel very lucky to have a brand-new beautiful roof and gutters and also have a solar hot water panel replaced as well. Thank you very much for advocating for us

JAE was great to work with when we needed to replace the roof prior to sale of the property. They went way beyond the required diligence to acquire proof of storm damage for insurance settlement and helped with repeated visits of insurance adjusters to acquire a settlement on storm damage that was not noticed until much later. Jonathan was always available by phone or via text to quickly answer questions and even came after dark to secure material samples for analysis by an outside laboratory to prove the roofing condition. This was all performed even after the contract was signed to replace the roof.

Too good to be true? Not this time! Cecil and JA Edwards did what they said they would and as a result I have a new roof. As promised, my only cash outlay was my insurance deductible. After my claim was at first denied, Cecil did his magic and showed my company some errors in their findings. I now have a new high quality roof that is up to code, has new exhaust pipes and he was even able to get us new gutters. Cecil kept me up to date in every way during the process, with photos sent to my homeowners insurance company has right up to final inspection and approval. I was also impressed with the daily cleanup efforts and the speed of the roof replacement, with no inconvenience to us. All landscaping was protected, as was my pool and pool enclosure. There were very few nails to be found, the crew uses a magnetic sweeper for that. I wish to take this opportunity to give my highest praise to JA *** of America and especially Laura *** We experienced a wind damage event to our roof which required the installation of an entire new roof. Laura handled all aspects of the claim from the outset including the use of drones and physical inspection of the roof. She coordinated seamlessly with the insurance adjuster and kept me in the loop the entire way. She also coordinated with the Homeowners Association to obtain the necessary approvals all the way to assisting in the color selection of the roof. She also worked with the county building inspector in a timely manner and all went smoothly. In short, an outstanding job was done by Laura. The company is very fortunate to have Laura as a representative to the public. She was always professional, polite and you never once felt that she was not giving you her full attention. In closing, I wish I could give laura 10 stars but it seems 5 is the most that are allowed. Great job Laura and I would recommend both your company and yourself to all who are looking for a great roofing company !

Wow, what a great experience I had replacing my roof. It all started when I noticed that there was some weather damage on my roof and called Nick S from JAEA roofing to give me a free roof inspection and estimate for the repairs. He had done an excellent job replacing my neighbors roof across the street, and he was highly recommended to me. He answered my call immediately and came out to inspect my roof that same day. He said that there was wind and hail damage and that he was very confident that with his professional expertise he would be able to document and point out all the damage to my home insurance company and have the repairs approved and covered by them. He provided this priceless service free of charge! He met my adjuster, went up on the roof with him and pointed out everything that was required and the insurance company gave me a full approval to replace my damaged roof. Nick and his crew did an excellent job replacing my roof. He and the roofers always showed up on time and were very respectful with my home and property. They covered my central air units and my hedges so they would not be damaged. Nick made sure every single detail was taken care of to my complete satisfaction. My house is fairly large at 3025 square feet. They did a thorough job cleaning everything up. Nick treated me like family, through the entire process. I am extremely happy with how all the work was done and will highly recommend him to all my friends and family members.

We cannot recommended these roofers. We did research and saw reviews that looked good, but we have had a very poor experience with JA Edwards. These were the messiest roofers we have ever experienced. The roofers threw and scattered debris completely around the house, without any covers on our shrubs. Shingles were removed, the day before a forecasted storm with high winds, on April 30. The storm arrived and we had a roof leak in our master bedroom area. Roofers also placed a skylight in a 2-story staircase area but did not clean the interior glass beforehand. There was glue residue from the paper label that was originally stuck to it. It was unsightly. Also, we had requested the workers to not park in our driveway, yet they did, and one of the trucks left a large stain. The company did send out a pressure washer to remove the stain. Due to Covid-19, and not wanting workers in our home, we repaired the ceiling damage from the leak and bought equipment to clean the skylight ourselves. Unfortunately, the roofers also bent and damaged the fascia and the drip edge. They sent a company out who, on their 2nd attempt, replaced the fascia, but it is not as neatly done as it had been before, with the peaks being eschewed. To replace the drip edge, which is costly, the shingles would have to be removed and replaced, causing more nail holes in the underlayment. This could present a possible future leak concern. We have requested reimbursement for our cost to repair the ceiling damage from the roof leak and supplies to clean the skylight. We also received a quote from a local roofer to replace the drip edge. We have requested JA Edwards to compensate us for those damages. We have many documents with letters, messages, phone calls, etc. to show that we want to make final payment and close this job out, yet we are still waiting to hear back from them. It has been almost 3 months since this all began, which is unacceptable and it has been very stressful. Find another roofer!
