expired products
I have now purchased multiple expired products from the Tura Beach woolworth's. It's getting so ridiculous that I am ready to drive 30 minutes just to shop at Coles. Examples of expired products are cookies and cream protein bars that went out of date in November. Impressed juice that is 3 weeks out of date and another protein bar. Your staff should be checking expiry dates when they are restocking. Not everyone wants to print out a receipt and waste paper and by the time we eat our food and realize it's expired weeks ago we can no longer find a receipt to return it anyways. Low standards for the biggest supermarket in Australia.
finger bun
The Homebrand Woolworths finger bun that I was looking forward to for a whole month was burnt. The finger bun ruined my day and made us lose our most important water polo game of my career. While going to Dubbo to compete in the NSW state championships this made me very upset as I come from the foreign land of Canberra, ACT. I Would like a minimum of $69 and 10 new finger buns (unburnt).
I Agree totally good luck with your water polo :-)
availability of advertised product
I have attempted to purchase woolworths prepaid mobile $45 starter pack which was advertised in the latest catalogue at half price for period up to 21st dec. I have enquired at several stores in baldivis, kwinana and rockingham and all have advised they either did not receive stock or they had none on stock.
Despite the fact they were advertised on sale I find it amazing that those stores had none in stock anyway.
I tried online but they had them at fill price of $45.
I live in baldivis area in wa.
This is not the first time advertised products are not available in stores and is very frustrating and not good customer service.
bread rolls
Hi, we always buy woolies bread and rolls, best on the market, but today we bought them and I opened the rolls to find hair in the two I opened, its was cooked in them which means they must off been in the dough process, Not impressed do your workers not wear hair nets?, find it disgusting and will never be buying any bread products again, This was from the new woolworths in Busselton Western Australia, Absolute shame as your bread products are second to none, but we will never take the chance again, and find it disappointing that Woolworths do not ensure your workers wear hair nets,
Very unhappy customers Wayne 19/12/2016
False advertising of the 1 kg iced christmas fruit cakes at two separate postcodes
I have been trying to get hold of the Woolworths 1 kg iced Christmas fruit cakes for the past 4 weeks. Bundaberg 4670 has 3 stores, Gladstone 4680 has 3 stores and absolutely NO iced fruit cakes. I am NOT happy at all.
So, Christmas is 6 sleeps away, and my very, very large family will NOT be having the BEST ICED FRUIT CAKE available in their traditional Christmas this year, no thanks to Woolworths supermarkets in their inability to supply to customers. I made the same complaint last week and was assured the iced fruit cakes would be back in stock in Bundaberg and to keep my eyes open. Well, I have checked in bundaberg, then the 3 stores in Gladstone today all to NO avail. AND I might add, I could not order them online.
Is there a problem? Mmmm
Treatment of disabled people
Hi
I went to your woolworths at maponya mall (20th november 2016, immediate after 14:00) at customer care department as a disabled person I stood there in front waiting to be called first as usual, there come one lady there telling to join the queue like everyone else. I asked her if that the way they treat disabled people there, I felt so stupid, even other customers asked me to go first in line as they know that rule.
I was disappointed because that was the only woolworths branch that did that to me.
Being disabled is not a choice but being treated that way is no excuse that those ladies need to be taught what customer care is and it was on that customer care department. I don't think they know what that mean.
unethical behaviour
Young and Jackson Hotel Melbourne 18/12/16 a subsidiary of ALH group owned by Woolworths
Last night i was on a date with a lady on the rooftop bar, it closed early there were two security guards at the time of closure, the bar woman had said she was closing up for the night and i said "nicely" alright do you mind if i have one more smoke and then leave 'she said that was fine', within 1 minute of her leaving a security guard {ethnic background indian maybe sri lanken as there were two gaurds on shift this will make it easier to identify} between the hours of 830 and 930 pm approached me and then said were closing up i couldn't understand him properly because of his accent, so my date had asked the security gaurd if it was alright if i finished my cigarette she couldn't understand him, so i asked him politely if it was alright if i can finish my cigarette and he responded in a manner that was aggressive and challenging his words were "did i not already tell you to ####ing go down stairs" now me and my date had looked at each other and had discusses it later in the night that it was totally not the approach needed for that situation, i wasn't drunk or aggressive, i couldn't understand what he said and there was mis-communication as to who and what directive to follow from the bar-woman or the security guard he also replied with dont get smart, as i said i couldn't understand you as a reply and then went down stairs after that altercation.
if a patron isnt causing any trouble and wanted information clarified without being threatened you should be understandable not to have a response like the one i had and to be quite honest if i was younger and drunk i wouldve started a fight with this man infact most men who wouldve been drunk wouldve taken that response as being started for a fight by the security gaurd.
over the years the Young and jackson hotel has been my local and i have seen atleast 20 separate cases of excessive violence towards patrons and or security picking fights with patrons the most serious being a man grabbed by the throat from behind and being thrown out the door, for practically nothing- this case in particular, i know that it was nothing because i had have just had a conversation with this bloke for 45 mins prior and within 2 mins of him leaving my table he was assaulted.
my questions is a valid one, will i be assaulted by a member of your employees or subcontractors when i visit the young and Jackson hotel and when asked to do something like leave the rooftop area when ive been told that it was okay to stay until i finish my cigarette and i have a conversation explaining, what ive been told to do by bar staff and security becomes hostile whats the probability of me being assaulted.
im not going to tell you what to do but seeing as there has been a high number of assaults in your venue, i think it would be in your best interest to conduct an audit of training systems in-particuliar how to approach patrons.
Yours sincerely

Wouldn't be the first time and probably won't be the last time there is a lack of communication between staff and security, Just remember the security have a set of instructions that say that no patron is to be in a certain area at a certain time or the security system wouldn't work for the safety of all patrons .
I understand exactly what you are saying and the security guard was completely out of line and should have checked with the appropriate staff member before being an animal towards both yourself and your date.
Bullying is not tolerated by the law and needs to be addressed at most nightclubs throughout Australia.
poisons kept next bird food in stores
Hello, my local store in Eltham (3095) shelves all the bird seed right next to weed killer and ant poisons. The glysophosphate in the weed killer is a known carcinogen and often the permeable plastic bags containing seed are pressed right up against these products. I have spoken to someone at shop and nothing has changed. I am also contacting RSPCA and the Humane Society as well as making alerts on social media as it is a completely inappropriate place to keep poison. I have seen the same thing in other stores too.
pawise lint roller
Has anyone tested the pawise lint rolls? I found it impossible to use without waisting sheets of paper. They tear apart into small pieces and end up a mess on the roller and floor. The plastic roller that comes with the paper rolls falls apart too and slides out. It's the most time consuming and frustrating lint roller I have ever used. I'm amazed it ended up on Woollies shelves! Have a go and see if you can use it without waisting paper! 😓Jane O'Reilly, customer no. 9935969
very limited cash out, no atm & never any cooked chickens
Woolworths Bakewell centre has no atm & the woolworths store will only give limited cash out I asked a number of times when the centre is getting an atm & was told the the woolworths store is the atm for the centre but will only give a maximum of $200 & some times they wont do it at all depending on what they have in the till at the time so then u have to got to another shopping centre to find an atm or your bank so if i have to go elsewhere for cash i will shop there instead I had to break my shopping into 2 transactions at 2 different checkouts to get any cash out last week & that just isnt good enough. Also they never seem to have cooked chickens i understand they r a busy store but i have been there at all different times of the day/night & havent been able to get a cooked chicken for weeks one day i tried 4 times in the 1 day & not even 1 on the shelf. I am not a complainer normally but an getting a bit sick of it all & dont really want to go back to coles but their centre has everything there, I live walking distance from the bakewell woolworths & the convenience is great thanx for you time.
wanting to exchange coins for notes $10 worth
This morning I went to this store and asked if they would exchange $10 worth of 10cent and 5cent pieces for me to give my grandaughter to do her christmas shopping .Ihave done this there and at other stores before and has never been a problem, in fact they were always ok about it as they said they always need olenty of change. The young girl counted out the change and then called this person who i imagine is supposed to be a supervisor over to open the till to make the exchange .This person said Iquote, WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS AS WE ARE NOT A BANK, i said to her i have done it before with never a problem.she replied i WILL DO IT THIS ONCE BUT WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO .SHE WAS RUDE, INTIMIDATING AND EMBARRISSING TO SAY THE LEAST .HER NAME IS KAREN AND IS A BIG BLOND WOMAN.i worked in retail all my life and this person is what gives customer service a bad name and woolies you need to look at the type of people you are employing along with the many issues your company is experiencing i will not step foot inside a woolworths again .please do something about this person because she should not be there to set examples to younger staff .
click and collect ordering
I arrived in store (Kalamunda) today at 12.20pm to collect my order only to be told my order had not been received. The attendant asked if i had received confirmation which i had and the money has been taken from my account. I do not have time to go back to the store and i am disgusted with the attendants attitude toward myself.
This happened 2 weeks ago also but the store was quick to rectify but to happen again, i am furious. I do click and collect for convenience, as i work and i have a 1 year old so time for food shopping is very limiting.
The store and woolworths need to dramatically improve otherwise i will be doing my personal and business shopping elsewhere in the future

price labels of products - label 1 price, scan as another price
I would not be sending this email if this type of incidence didn't happen to me in woolworths/safeway ALL THE TIME.
Yesterday evening at moonee ponds safeway 2 x creams scaaned as $5.99 per item rather than $3.98. I told the lady at the check out that, that was not the correct price (5.99). She said it was, so i went back to where the item was instore and took the label off from under the product & brought it to her.
The label said the item was for Bulla Cream 'freich'. I was told it was 'ok' I'd obviously just made a mistake & it was for a product below the item.
I made no mistake. There was NO 'Bulla Freich' product below or above the label And I took a photo of the items on the shelf (which i showed to the woman on check out) neither Below OR above the label .
The item below was for Bulla (not a freich cream) & it was correctly labeled with a correct price ($5.99). The item above it was sour cream.
What annoys me (Hugly) is that I am absolutely SICK of getting to the check out and finding items are scanning at a different price to the labeled price on the shelf, or the advertised special is 'over' but the specials labels are still on the shelf or (as in this case) the product ('bulla freich cream') doesn't even bloody exist! The cream bellow the item was Bulla but the Meander cream was the ONLY one of its type on the shelf of its type. And the advertised price (on the 'special' label) AND the label below it (regular label) was $3.98.
What bothers me is this; lets say every time i shop at woolworths I spend and extra $10 to $15 I didnt want to or plan on...I will spend an extra few hundred on groceries every year. Thats not fair. Advertising one price then charging another is against the Trade Practices Act. Like I said, it happens when i shop at your store far far far too often. I usually shop(fyi) at Safeway Watergardens (when i go to safeway).
Not only is it price gouging illegal but it is also immoral. How do families on a very tight budget feel when they get to the check out and find that items are more than they expected?
Do they
A. Cause a scene and go back to the shelf while holding up everyone else in line.
B. Pay more for the items (even though they can't really afford those extra few dollars).
C. Leave the item and do another shopping trip to get another cheaper item elsewhere (who has the time?)
I have screen shot my complaint .
I have photos but can't attach them because it only provides an option to take a photo in real time.
Thank you
promotions
This year I have been sent emails for promotions. If you spend x amount in the first week you get $10 off shop, second week you have to spend x amount to receive $20 off and third week spend x amount to receive $30 off. I have received this promotion twice this year, have spent the required amount and have NEVER received a cent off.
Then a couple of weeks ago another promotion was given a $10 off next shop voucher given out in store when you spent $100 which I did and did not receive a cent off. So nearly $200 in promotions I have not received. How sad.
It seems that Woolworths promotions are not working.
You used to be able to use everyday rewards cards at BIGW I now notice this no long is the case.
How very disappointing it is for regular loyal customers to no longer be valued by your company.
I am now thinking I need to travel a little further to use Coles or Aldi stores to shop.
Yours Chris Chivers
pork stir fry heart smart
My son was eating pork stir fry and as he was eating it a bit of white plastic came out of the meat it was very sharp and stabbed into his gum. This could of ended up a lot worse and really would like to know why there was a hard bit of plastic in this meat. I would really like this to be resolved asap. As my son should not have to eat plastic out of meat.
grab & go section / salads
I have shopped at Woolworth Northbridge and bought 2 salads from the Grab & Go section, and asked at the cashier if I could get a fork to eat the salad straight away but got told that Woolworth doesn't provide fork and you have to buy a pack. In my opinion Woolworth doesn't understand the concept of Grab & Go and I find it unacceptable not to get a fork.
night fill staff
I went shopping at 9 at Woolworths corowa and the night fill manager Luke should be ashamed of himself he was using bad language and everyone could hear him and throwing boxes around very unpleasant to witness should be ashamed, I would like to know how he gets away with it Everytime I go shopping in there after work around 9 I seen the same thing I want be shopping there anymore he should be spoken to Iam surprise he even got a job still, and they never have enough checkouts open only one and its always busy unbelievable Woolworths what are we running a circus
I always buy homebrand cheddar cheese and the last 3 packets went mouldy before the best before date which is September 2016 and had through them out
I bought a pack of croissants today from woolworths westfield warringa mall and they were expired. It was on the top of all the other pack and I don't know how many other customers have got the expired ones as well.
No plastic bags means it takes a long time at the checkout. Many people use the green fruit bags. There are 100% degradable bags now so why can't Woollies provide these free that then double as rubbish bags?
Purchased from Woolworths Kyabram a pre packaged Caesar salad on Sunday 30th Oct found a dead fly amongst the lettuce leaves. Discarded salad but took photo showing expiry date and brand of product purchased. Pic provided
I keep trying to find it in your stores in Hornsby, Chatswood, Town Hall & Crows Nest. It really annoys me when I find a product I enjoy then you stop stocking it. Is it a problem with the suppliers or you?
I just purchased paddle pop icy twist x 4, advertised at $2 for 2 - and they scanned at 1.35

I don't usually complain but today I bought a custard tart from Woolworths because I really felt like one, I got home went to eat it and it was fully frozen and completely inedible, a product I once thought was baked fresh, I feel as though I have been lied to by Woolies and now I've lost my faith in them and won't be purchasing from there anymore
I always purchase oak milk for my kids but this one was supposed to expire on the 2nd of dec it got off yesterday. I also put pics on Facebook messenger for Woolies but no one responded. I just noticed when my 5 year started spewing up
I bought the last banana caramel tarts on shelf and informed cashier of mushed up appearance and i wasnt even offered a discount.
please refer to photos below.
1. Despite the promoted assistance to Australian dairy farmers, I can only buy New Zealand Essentials Brand 250gm and 500gm salted and unsalted BUTTER not Australian produced product.
2. I cannot buy reasonable priced full cream milk in a carton, only in a plastic bottle.
3. Coles supply the above 1. and 2.
supermarket deli section
This morning I went to the Woolworths Supermarket near Big W at Robina Town Centre. I rushed in there to do some shopping before beginning work, and so was in a hurry. I headed to the deli first, where I wanted to buy olives, sun dried tomatoes, and the prepared salads, all of which require plastic containers, then weighed and labelled. This is usually a very quick process, but not this morning! In fact, it became a laborious, tedious procedure for both myself and the sales assistant, as the deli had no lids, and so each container had to be taken to another part of the deli and wrapped tightly so the food (oil, sauces etc) did not leak all over the other groceries on the way home. I felt very sorry for the sales person and we both became more and more frustrated, and at the same time, other customers were having to endure the same ridiculous service, because it took much longer for this to occur than to put a lid on the container and give it to me! Now this was about 8:15 in the morning, which means the deli was facing a busy day with no lids. This is ludicrous, inconvenient and inefficient, so please make sure that all departments are prepared for the day and can truly offer the kind of service you say you do, especially if you want people to keep coming and not go to other supermarkets!
