I reciently received a number of phone calls from men, claiming to be from a company, winners inernational. They advised me that I had won a sweepstakes lotto, and was entitled to a large sum of money. They said to keep it confidential, so that know one would try to rob me. Funny, it was them who was trying to rob me. They were very persistant, and called me for a few days, before I started screening my phone calles. If you recieve any phone calls like this, it is a scam, also check out td financial for the latest scam, which I also recieved a few days after the phone calls. They want you to wire / money gram them money, to cover, insurance, or state taxes on the supposed money that you have won. They assure you that you will recieve your money immediately after paying. Don't do it, it's a scam.

I just received a call saying I won $50, 000 just from shopping at local stores such as Target and Wal Mart.I never fill out anything not eve a credit card application when I go to stores so of course I am skeptical. As the guy was giving me the info I was checking it online. They do their research in the area where a person lives before calling apparently but funny thing is I moved out of the state. You guys should have heard the hesitation in his voice when I told him that I moved over a thousand miles away.I told him I searched their so called company online and it was a scam. This guy kept saying do not listen to that it is not real.I have experienced someone trying to scamme before so I had my eyes and ears open this time.It is just sad how far people will go to scam someone. He said the IRS would be involved but then said I had to get a money pack for $299 and send it to them.My words were get the f*** out of here.Needless to say I said enough to get them to stop calling.I hope no one falls for this. The economy is bad enough without others assisting with it from far away.

Sorry to hear that you took their call; because, unfortunately, now he will harrass you beyond belief. Police urge that people do not even answer their call. Just watch caller ID for numbers mentioned in earlier comments. I might also suggest an air horn that is VERY LOUD. Best solution I have for now. :)

My father received a phone call today and was told he won 2.5 million and all he needed to do was send in $200. My mother called me to come and talk to the man. Not only did the man get upset he was livid. He cussed me using language that was so foul I would never repeat
it and called my dad "stupid". This is about the 15th call that they have received about winning money and having to send them money to receive it. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! Please everyone contact the authorities and report this. They prey on the elderly members of our society and should be arrested and and made accountable for there actions.

I just received a call from a Bill Cooper with a very heavy foreign accent, he said he was from Brazil and had come to this country to start a new life. He told me he was from Winners International with the phone number of [protected]. He wanted me to send him $1000. cash by Western Union for 1% of the taxes of the $3.5 million dollars and a new Mercedes. After a long conversation with Bill I told him this was a scam and he should be ashamed of himself for trying to take advantage of an old person. I hung up, he called back and said I could send only $500. LOL...I told him to send the money and the car and the balloons to my home and I would give him his $1000. He said oh no he could loose his job, I told him I would give him a million and he wouldn't have to work there. He laughed and then he said they worked with the FBI and he could not get arrested. He said he would call back in a few days when I thought about it, I said I have thought about it and he had better not call here again that he should just send me my winning..., .., What a joke...I hope no one sends them any money...I was to send the money to a.
Mr. Howard Blackmon
713 Southwestern 2nd Place
Dania, FL 33004 Hey Howard no money from me today...Bill also said that he got my name from my Wal-Mart card transaction. Boy I sure could have used that 3.5 mill right now. my husband and I take care of my Mother and my 2 daughters have moved back home and one brought a husband. My son got custody of his 4 children and we have to help him out...OMG...wheres the millions, Bill Cooper? ... GOD BLESS THE USA...ox

Today I was promised millions and a Mercedes Benz. I have less than $100 total & might soon lose my home.

I knew right away it was a scam. I told him to call me in a few hours. In the meantime, I called the BBB & did a personal search where I came across this. He did call back & was insistent trying to convince me. I told him I knew what he was up to & I had nothing more to say, then I hung up on him.

It is a shame that these people will probably get away with it.

These people tried to take me today, offering millions and a Mercedes Benz. I knew from the start it was a scam. They wanted $990.00 sent by Western Union. I told him to call back later. In the meantime, I contacted the BBB & did a personal search.

They should have to suffer consequences!

I got a call today about noon, but didn’t answer it in time and the answer machine picked it up. My caller ID said it came from [protected] in Kingston, JM. When I called the # a man with a Jamaican accent answered but he wanted to know my name to which I simply said he should know since he called me 1st. He said he’d check and call me back. When he called back 3 minutes later, the called ID said it was from [protected] but no location this time. He said he’s with Winner’s International and that I had won a $2million and a Mercedes. He said I should have received a phone call last week and a letter in the mail to that effect last week, but now I had only 3 days to reply whether I wanted to collect my winnings. He said I was automatically entered when I purchased something last month with my credit card. He didn’t know which one, BTW. He said his name is “Mark Yoger” and I was to call # [protected] if I had any questions. When I received the prize validation form, I would sign it and along with my $199 processing fee receipt I would present it to the prize delivery folks. He’d accept a personal check (with my bank acct, address and signature on it), a Western Union Moneygram (take the money and run), or a credit card payment (he’d then have my credit card #, exp date, and 3 digits validation code so he can then charge as much as he wanted). Since I told him I had no email, he’d fax the form to my email and then I’d have to send everything to “Kajorn Jamieson, Kingston, Jamaica”. At this point I couldn’t take it any more so I called him out on it and told him to find another fool to trick. BTW, he never did fax that “document” to my efax#. Humm.

these numbers are forgien numbers, , , becareful when caling back any of these numbers, they could charge your phone company! i would immediatly set up a trace on your phone, i have and they still call even though we tell them we are not interested. so far we have had winners internation, publisure international, and the latest one was united states treasuary, all sound jamican and all with different numbers each time they call, , and also chnaging the prize each time they call, i told them oh my prize amount went up from the last time you all called? and they pretend like they dont know anything. our police department is aware and have been tracing all the calls which have been dozens in the past 2 months. so beware do not call them back you could get charged for the foregin calls!

I would just like to share my story. I got a call from stephen "Corti", I won the useal 2.5 million and a mecerdas 2011, LOL it was to be delivered to me as soon as i pay the 599, they were even gonin to give me a break for the courier charges and just charge me 399, he called me 3 times trying to push me into doing this. He also told me that the courier would stay with the check until the check was verified at the bank. I have recently found out that because a check could be good today dont make it good tomorrow and if you use that money, you may have to pay that back. I have not got to that part of the scam yet. I will keep you posted.

I received a call from David Washington stating he was from Winners International (Jamaica Call [protected]. Stating I won a substantial prize & when would I be home for delivery. He had called & left a message 5 days ago stating I won a prize of $1.5 million & left a number to call back, but it cut out, so you couldn't hear it. (We thought it was a friend playing a joke). So, when we got another call today, I was suspicious, he said my prize would be delivered by UPS & a lawyer. I asked where he got my info & he said I filled out a coupon somewhere. (I never fill out coupons/forms & give my correct phone#). He said he would email me with all of the information to verify, because I said I wanted to see it. He then planned a time to call me back after I received it & viewed it. I went to my computer & googled "Winners International" and came upon many complaints. He happened to call me back a couple minutes later to verify my email address again, I told him I saw the multiple complaints online & that I was going to call the authorities. And, guess what? He hung it. Please do not fall for THIS IS A SCAM!

Sounds like a scam. Did you buy a chance in order to win? Are you supposed to give them a receipts for the taxes paid? Whether you pay your taxes or not is not up to them. If you still want to deposit the check, do not withdraw any of the money until the check is actually cleared. It may take a couple of weeks to find out if it is bogus. Ask your bank. If you withdraw the money, you will be on the hook for it.

AKA John Washington, Michael Williams and Robert Booher, David Robinson, etc at Winner's International have been calling us daily for 2 years. He is rude and uses obscenity when you do not respond to his scam. Last number left was [protected]. DO NOT RESPOND. My elderly father-in- law has received 2 of these checks and the bank has warned him that he could get arrested for passing fraud checks should he try cashing or depositing them any longer. I am going to try reporting them to IC3@www.IC3.gov. These people go way beyond harassment. I hope you do not get caught up in their scam. They will NEVER leave you alone. It is awful. my poor father had this happen to him, this guy "David roberts called, saying he won millions of dollars plus a car. all he had to do was go and sign for a pick up from a fed ex company, well needless to say my dad ended the conversation with, if you could just delete me from your call log i would not like to receive calls from this company anymore. they said no problem. a week later they called our house again at almost 10:00pm i said why are you calling so late, they told me their shift didnt start till 7:00pm. after listening to the same convo he had with my father i called up my father and told him, the guy called me right back after being off the phone with him for 3 mins. i said look we are not interested please dont call back. well in the am we got another phone call and i said look " we talked to you last night and do not want anything to do with this, and he hung up on me, so i called him right back and said look you call my house 1 more time and i will have the cops involved, , well for this so called professional company they chose alot of nasty words to call me. I ended up calling the police right after! the police said not to pick this call up anymore that it was a foreign # and they could not get through because it required a credit card! SO PLEASE BEAWARE THIS IS A SCAM! the names given were David roberts and john washington phone number is [protected]!

I just received a call from "John Washington" at Winners International telling me I won some money, but said he couldn't tell me how much until I verified it with my "voucher numbers". He said I would've entered a sweekstakes somewhere. Of course I do not have any voucher numbers! He told me to call him back when I found them. At first a lady called me from a restricted number and told me I had to call Mr. Washington within 5 minutes. His number was [protected]. Be on the lookout for these scam artists! People like this make me sick!

I have received same kind of call today from Mr. Michael Williams from Winners International Company in Las Vegas. Apparently I won 2.5 million and need to send $353 to some one named Robert Booher via Western Union. Right after that, I have to call Robert Booher and give him the receipt number. Once done, I will get a 2.5 million dollars - tax free - money to my door step. The only way I can collect the money is by showing the receipt as the proof that I am actually the winner. I knew it was a scam, but got all the details to understand how these guys are running the scam. Wow ... what a shame ? Sharing this with you all. Hope this will help.

Would like to share my story. I am a sensible person but at this time I was having alot of trouble. Money wise. I wasd called and told that I have won 2.5 million dollars and all I had to do was send 580.00 to a person in Montego bay Jamaica. His name was Terrion Sterling. So (stupid) me sent off the money and texted Mr Charles Gordon from Winners International. That was 18 months ago and alot of money later I still have not recieved anything. Meanwhile I lost my home . My 2005 F15o 4x4. pickup. Just recently I had the idea to check them out and found all of these stories, but none with these names. I know I can never get thjese funds bnack or my truck but I just hope people read this and do not be stupid like me. The total lose is 65 thousand. Lock these people up. His number is [protected]. Call him and wish him luck in JAIL.

These men have been calling me for the last four days. The first number was from Jamaica [protected], and the second number was a cell number from California [protected]. The first man got rude and offensive with me after I called him on his scam (repeatedly yelling "f-you!" after I told him I'd be calling the cops). But that didn't deter them apparently. They just keep calling. Now I'm screening my calls.

How are the same scam artists going on with the same scam for years? Isn't there something we can do? They continuously call here as well, stating I won 2.5 million plus $2500 in cash and a new 2011 mercedes! All I have to do is send them $300. I was just called by someone from Winner's International who said my name was picked at random and that I had just won $1, 000, 000.
All I had to do was to send $450 by Western Union and people and the media would show up on my doorstep at 3pm in the afternoon.
As we were talking I went on my computer and this site came up. I told the fellow on the phone what I saw, that it was a scam. He argued that he was a God-fearing Christian and it was not a scam. I would see that after I wired him the money. I told him never to call me again or I would report it to the police. Them I hung up. P.S. The police said they couldn't do anything unless I was actually scammed. These people need to be stopped. He mentioned something to me about being a senior citizen. These are some of the people they are targeting. Most are not computer literate and many are alone. I think what they are doing is horrible.

This just happened to me today. I was told I won 2.5 million dollars and a 52 inch plasma tv. I was told I was entered into the drawing by using my VISA card, coupons, walmart, card, or by paying my utility bills on time as well. The guy said his name was David Foster from Gold Rush International or Winners International (www.winnersinternational.com). He didn't have time to get into the meat of the scam with me because I was to busy asking him questions, but the call sounded clearly like a scam. He didn't know my home address, he wasn't able to give me his exact address or phone number right away, and wouldn't give me a strait answer for why he couldn't just show up and give me a cashiers check. After asking him over and over he told me his address was 1917 Santee Ave, Colombia, South Carolina 29133 and his phone number he gave me was [protected] (but the caller ID said [protected]). I set an appointment to meet with him this Friday at our local police station where he said he would be giving me a check. I told him to call me an hour before he arrives. I am guessing we won't be meeting.

I just got off the phone with a "Mr. Kevin Peterson" supposed Head manager At Winner's International. I thought @ 1st it was my ex-husband(he does things like that every once in a while) He stated that I had won 5.5 mill and a brand new Mercedes Benz. That the government had picked up 95% of the taxes but I was still responsible for $1, 889. (When he didn't start laughing I realized it wasn't my ex) I asked who this was. He immediately got irate and said he had already told me who this was and what he was calling about. Asked if I was some kind of a [censored] or something. I was offended so I continued to play along to get more info hoping to help the authorities in tracking them down. He told me I would need to Western Union $1, 889 to a lawyer ( so I would know this isn't a scam-as if) Juliet Anderson in St. James, Jamaica. He also said not to talk to anyone @ Western Union about this, and if they asked to say that I was sending it to my sister. Told me to put WI in front of my name and call him back @ [protected] when I had returned back home. He told me that if anyone called asking about this to ask for the government Code (which was LX22) and if they could not provide that not to speak with them. He said because he did not want me on the wrong side. I immediately went on-line to look up the company and found the complaints board. Then I called the Sheriff's Dept. here who told me that all they can really do is take down the info and put it on the federal website which is ic3.gov. There you can provide all the info you need to the federal government to help them track the criminals. FYI they HAVE to stop using names and telephone numbers when they have been reported with that name/number. That is why it's always different. Hope this helps.

I just received the same phone call stating they were an hour and 11 min. from my home. Gave my name and address with correct spellings on each. I played along for a few min. because I thought it was my ex-husband( he does stuff like that sometimes), but after a few min. when he didn't start laughing I asked who this was. He told me he had already explained who he was and why he was calling and asked if I was some kind of [censored] or something. Asked if I wanted my prize or not. So I played along to get info, hoping to help authorities to track them down. He told me to send the money (Western Union) to an attorney, Juliet Anderson, to St. James, Jamaica. So that I would be insured that this was not a scam.(which he stated over and over again) He said that he was the Head Manager @ Winner's International, Mr. Kevin Peterson. Asked if I had possession of the 5% of the sales tax that the government didn't already pick up ($1, 889) that I would have to pay before receiving my check and how long it would take me to go to the nearest Western Union and return home. He told me to put the letters WI in front of my name. He stated I would need to hand the receipt to the driver that would be bringing me the check for 5.5 mil. and my 2011 Mercedes Benz. Told me to call back when I had arrived back home @ [protected]. Also stated that if anyone was to call or contact me regarding my winnings to ask for the government code_ which was LX22. He said he "did not want me to be on the wrong side. I hope this helps someone else. I just wish we could find a way to stop them. I'm embarrassed to say I actually was scammed about a year ago when I was trying to buy a dog. They wanted me to send them a Western Union to pay for part of the flight taxes on the dog to be shipped directly to my front door. They had official looking e-mail and paperwork. I did then they needed more which I refused and contacted American Airlines (which I should have done 1st) They told me it was a scam, there is no taxes that have to be paid by the receiver and no special fees for dogs. The lady then assured me, after I refused and told her what I had found out that the dog was already @ the airport and would not have anywhere to go if I did not pay this. Live and Learn.
