Windemere Homes

I moved into my new Windemere home on 12/27 and immediately noticed that the driveway was chipping and cracking. I've been in contact with them through email, phone, and text on various dates throughout the year, but they have only suggested texture/paint or patch repair/stain, which won't fix the problem. The driveway continues to chip and crack, and when we pressure wash it, it leaves rough areas. It's also discolored and shows boot/shoe imprints. I didn't pay 280k for a "Frankenstein" driveway. The owner won't come out, and they claimed to have sent out the concrete guy, but our security cameras show no one came out. The project manager said he would contact the contractor, but we haven't heard anything. We're six months into a one-year warranty, and they're dragging their feet. Another concrete person told me it's not normal, and it's not a cold weather pour issue. I need this resolved before I get legal representation.

We signed up with Windemere Homes inc. on 4/14 to build our home and they promised to finish it by 4/29/2022. But it's been more than 80 days past the deadline and they're only halfway done with the construction. They've been giving us excuses, delaying the project, failing inspections, and not answering our questions. We paid them 20% of the total cost upfront and have already spent more than half of the total cost, but they still need more money to finish the project. We're worried that if we pay them more, they won't finish the work. We're not sure if we should continue with this contract or not. We've asked them to extend the contract with a guaranteed completion date and a penalty for not finishing on time. We also want a new payment schedule that requires them to finish the work before we pay them. If they can't agree to this, we'll have to find a new contractor to finish the job, but we don't have any extra money for that. Windemere Homes inc. needs to take responsibility for their actions!
