Subject: Ongoing and Unresolved Issues with Vehicle – 2018 Hyundai Tuscan
Dear Hyundai Motor America / West Herr
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the continuous and unresolved issues I’ve experienced with my vehicle, a 2018,Hyundai Tuscan which I purchased from your dealership, West Herr Toyota in Williamsville , NY approximately three years ago. Vehicle is Currenlty at West Herr Hyundai at 5485 Transit Rd Williamsville, NY 14221.
Since the time of purchase, I have only been able to drive the vehicle for about one year in total, as it has spent the majority of its time in your shop for one issue after another. The problems began immediately after purchase and have continued relentlessly ever since.
Summary of Issues:
Shortly after purchase, the vehicle was in the shop due to a broken windshield wiper motor and a cracked front bumper — both of which should have been repaired prior to sale. That repair alone took approximately three months.
The vehicle was later involved in an accident, and the body work and repairs kept it in your shop for over three months again.
Currently, it has now been in your shop for over six months for the following unresolved issues:
Timing chain problems
Backup camera malfunction
Damaged wiring harness related to the camera
Intermittent electrical issues caused by frayed wiring
After all this time, the vehicle is still not running properly, and there has been no clear communication or resolution provided. This has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and loss of use — not to mention the cost of owning a vehicle that is consistently out of service.
This ongoing pattern of delayed, incomplete, or poor repairs is unacceptable. I believe I have been more than patient throughout this entire process.
I am formally requesting the following:
A full report on all work that has been performed to date, including parts replaced, diagnostics done, and any manufacturer or service warranties.
A firm timeline for when the current issues will be completely resolved.
A written explanation as to why the vehicle has been allowed to remain in an unusable condition for this long.
If the vehicle cannot be repaired in a reasonable timeframe, I would like to discuss options for compensation, replacement, or buyback.
Please treat this matter with urgency, Since I am paying for a vehicle I can’t even drive. I expect a formal response within 7 business days from the date of this letter. If no resolution is reached, I will be forced to escalate the matter through consumer protection agencies and explore legal avenues.
I can be reached at [protected] or [protected]@aol.com to discuss this further.
Sincerely,
Stacy Rogacki
