Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Wahida Irene Akhter and I am living at Calgary, Canada. On July 2009 I have taken voip line from Vois and after that I have realized that they are the worst service provider in Canada. Many times I have complained about their service but they did not care for that. On December 2009 I had to change from their service and request them to cut my telephone line. First of all, before getting service from them on July 2009, I had to give them 75 dollars for security deposit and they told me that it is refundable once I cut the telephone line with them. It can be mentioned that after cut down my line they did not come to take their modem although I phoned them many times. Later on I had complained to several people to VOIS then they sent one person to my apartment and took the modem( I have receipt copy). After gave back to their modem, I have phoned them more than 100 times to get back my security money back which I had given them via cheque on June 2009. Still I did not get my 75 dollars back and they are playing with me. Moreover, they are harrasing me and teasing me with my english accent.

I would like to pray and submit a complain against VOIS. I am a single parent and it is really hard for me to give up even $1 dollar when I am passing my day with financial crisis.

I have home phone service from more than 10 years

I want to cancel the service, I called more then five times, but they are not canceling the service.

All the time they said someone will call you back, but no one called back.

Worst company service.

If you put request for buy something, they will call definitely

After reading reviews here I am thinking what to say, because I am very satisfied with the service and product itself.

I am using 3 years subscription plan and they are providing a large number of regional channels. I hope my review will help other customers to check Vois iptv services.

They are all liares ...they will lie anything to sell their products ...after you stuck with them they will try theirs best efforts to collect money from you.I bought a tv box 16 months ago and has so many issues with it since then.Now it's tottaly dead and when I call technition they are asking for $100 more for new tv ...I will highly advise do not believe these ppl they are all liares .

This is really the worst service I have ever experienced. I personally recommend not to buy IPTV boxes from VOIS. First thing is they have only few channels and above that at anytime half of them are not working at any time. Lot of time there is streaming problem. I just bought it 1 month ago. Made 10 complaints. But they don't even bother. Don't go for it.

Hi . It's for everybody who is a vois and want to be vois customer : Be careful of that company
One who has already a customer I feel sorry for them, same is my case I'm also victim. I don't know how in Canada such a fraud company is operating and nobody does anything.
I brought a tv box by paying 340 $ . The same box cost 60 to 65$, the came to know after one year the price when I already become a victim
After 1 year the box is not working . I'm very sure they have done something from their end . When I call them, their telling is software issue, your box already finish warranty . Now you have to purchase another box of 100$. After one year they will do something from their end again they will charge 100$ for another box . This way this company doing business
So beware of this, ...don't purchase any tv box from them .

This company is a real fraud. I just wish it to be closed permnently so that it cannot cheat the innocent people.I don't know why Canadian govt. is not taking any step to shut it down permanently. The day is not far when people like the owners of vois will make Canada corrupt like India. So many actions have been taken against bell company but I think bell is 1000 times better than vois. It doesn't even stand close.

It's true vois really sucks 2 months ago I got vois iptv when a vois sales person told me about it promising that it would have YouTube cartoons for my kids and many other Chanells and that there would only be a one time payment of $350. when we got the iptv YouTube only worked sometimes there were no cartoons a month later many of the shows/channels I have been using start to go away and some times there's is no voice on some channels while other channels have voice when I called to ask them about this they didn't tell me how to fix it or what was going on or send someone over to fix it they told me that the new iptv is out and that I should just buy that for $350. Also I found out from a friend that she had bought the iptv for just $200.

I am from Winnipeg. I have paid $350 and guys disappeared. No one is answering. Now I am fighting back for my money. I even did not receive modem. I should have done bit investigation before paying.

Signed up with VOIS phone service about a couple of years ago. They kept forcing us to sign a contract with them. When we didn't sign the contract, they just went ahead and bound us in the contract without any formal paper or email notification. Two years later, all of a sudden I saw the increase in my monthly amount and service charge in the bill. When I called the customer service, they said you had a contract with us. I was surprised to hear that. I told them I never received any paper work or email. They said all their contracts are verbal and they have no way of sending a paper contract or email. Also, in the past they had tried to force us to use their long distance service. The customer service is also really bad. On several occasions, for their phone quality problems or billing problems, when you call them and they don't have an answer for you, they will say they will call you back but will never call back and you have to keep following up. All their customer service calls are routed to India and that takes job away from Canadians at the profit of VOIS owners. Some of my friends are also using the digital TV service and they face intermittent failures. The quality for digital TV is very poor. I won't recommend VOIS to anyone.
For people looking for good and cost-effective phone service, I strongly recommend using Magic Jack Plus 2014! Good balance of price, quality and customer service.

I got a call from their marketing person. He agreed that we will get unlimited calls from Canada to India in 29.99 per month. Then we got bill of $120 for first month. If you want to cancel, they demand $800. I called several times but their customer service is horrible. Even we sent email to their director, but no response. It's a call centre in India making fool of people here in Canada. They target mostly Asian people, who are new in Canada. Be aware of these frauds!

My story same like everybody Vois is the bad. Company I ever find I got connection in Calgary and I switched my phone line to other company and I did paid my final bill after I spoke with customer service and stupid cs told me some body will come to my home to pick up phone modem since year and half nobody come to my home and didn't pay my refund and after year and half they send me another bill with warning of collection agency so guys come with me we can submit complaints against this fraud.

First of all VOIS needs to do some major training on customer service and how to respect and listen to consumers.
We had VOIS back in 2007 for 2 years service was not great had to call them and had to pay the 15 bucks for the new modem because some invisible person came and broke it. In 2010 we were moving and asked them to cut our services and pick up the modem and wires. Since we were moving we did not pay much attention that no one showed up. After we moved and settled in I called them again. I spoke to someone with bad English (sorry, but it was very difficult to understand him. Why would anyone ask you for your ‘good name’...I was stuck on that for about 5 mins). Way too much background noise and was assured someone from VOIS will be at my house the next day. My husband and I waited and no one bothered to show up not even a call that we cannot make it. The next day I called and was put on hold every 5 mins and then was assured someone was going to show up in two days. Got a call from someone at VOIS that they are outside (it was winter). My husband opened the door and went outside to ensure the guy comes down to the backyard (as we lived in a basement) no one was there! We called back and said umm you must be at someone else’s house. We had given our address in Calgary. My mom was the account holder and she moved to BC so we had given them her address to mail the refund too. We get a call back after about 2 hours that someone will be coming tomorrow morning. I was like so what happened? You will laugh…so dumb…the guy was looking for my mom’s BC address in Calgary! We where again assured someone will be here to pick up their crap in the morning. I waited and waited longer than I should have and was late for work. (I just wanted to get rid of their stuff to get our $75 deposit back). This continued their customer service line people are jokes. When ever I would say pardon me? they start speaking in a different language. I just don't understand them this has happened many times in the 50 calls I made to them. If I can’t understand your English how the hell am I going to understand your language…Anyhow, since then we moved two times within the year. Finally, after giving heck and really annoyed them someone actually came? During the mist of moving we misplaced the Ethernet cable but the modem and adaptor were picked up. The cheque was suppose to be mailed to my mom in BC...one day I remembered to ask about it and she did not receive the cheque. Well I was blazing how many times do you have to call these people and they do not record anything on file so every 5 mins they ask you if you can wait online.  After about another 8 months I called them again and was so angry with them. I said you got your crap now where the hell is the cheque? After being on the phone with them for more than half an hour they tell me we will send it. About three weeks later my mom gets a cheque dated 09/25/2011 (it is year 2012 the last time I checked) for five bucks! My husband called them pretending to be a new consumer and said I have seen some very bad reviews about your service and then explained our issue (pretending we where family friends) he asked how much does the Ethernet cable actually cost if it was not given back. The guy (Subash) on the line said $5.00. My husband asked then why did my cousins get a cheque for only $5.00? Subash said it must be a mistake tell them to call us. Okay they made a mistake we are all human. My husband was telling me the story when I got home and then VOIS called us back..yup it is the truth they actually called us. This guy named Sanjay calls and tells my husband they only got a cheque for 5.00 because they used the modem for 5 years (in fact we only had for 2) and we broke it so that is why they got 5.00.
I got even more raged so I called back and got this guy named Aman he put me on hold all together for about 35 mins and was asking dumb questions like when did you get the cheque in the mail…I said yesterday…hold the line…so you are calling because the cheque is wrong?...yes…..hold the line….ma’am please hold the line….the Ethernet cable was not given back….Yes I know that was missing but you can’t tell me it costs 70.00….no no you will get 25.00…then why did we get a cheque for 5.00?...hold the line………Yeah very painful!
Aman really annoyed me and I tried to be nice when I was talking to him he would talk over me. He then told me, like all his other co-workers there, I will call you back….I was like yeah I have heard this story already you will not call me back.. Guess what!?...He never called back. I called again tonight got the famous Aman I think he is the only guy there but changes his name time to time to make people this there is more than one person running the company. Same crap with the holding and same story at one point he even cut me off and put me on hold…guy did not even ask me please hold the line…I asked for his supervisor I don’t know what he said to me in what language and then put me on hold. He came back saying something I did not understand and put me back on hold. He came back on the line and was like Yes Ma'am? honestly? are they really that dumb? That was it! I told Aman I want to talk to your supervisor I am sick and tried of sitting hold. This will never get resolved the way you are handling this. I want to speak to your supervisor right now! He puts me on hold and then you think the background noise is bad with customer service? I swear this supervisor Ajay (if that is his real name) was sitting in a factory that makes drums and bells...I could not hear him at all. Even after I tell him I cannot hear you clearly he said talking and tells me send the Ethernet cable and adaptor and we will send you a cheque for 25.00 (that is all I got out of his long story) I told him I am sorry I am not stupid. I told him I was giving him three weeks to refund me the $70.00 (5.00 for the Ethernet cable). I hung up on him there is no point talking to these people. I know they are managing to run this business by stealing our deposits but why are they still running this business? We need to get the word out because really they are thieves.

I used to live in Surrey, BC and I had the same bad experience with VOIS. The quality of calls was bad so after one month we cancelled the service and called them to pick up their modem and get our money back. They took a while till they eventually pick up the modem sometime in April 2011. I have called countless times asking for my refund and they keep telling me that it takes some time to process it, well it is October 2011 and they haven't refunded my money.

Hello,
We initially signed up with this company because of their cheap home over ip services. The idea was that you buy their modem for $69 plus gst and you can get your money refunded(depending on the value of the modem at the time) if you cancel. They were friendly and timely in installation.

The reason we canceled their services is because they were forcing us to use their long distance service whereas we preferred to use calling cards. Every time we had to use a card, the phone system would not allow for it. It would give us a message that made it appear that the card was not working but then we figured it out. In addition, we could not use any 1-800- menus so if I called my bank or anywhere as such, I could not dial 1 or 2. Each time we had to call them and then it would work fine for a day and then back to the same thing. In fact, we felt that we should give them time and hung on for another month or two since they are a new company. They may have issues genuinely but it kept on happening over and over and beyond a reasonable amount of time. For me to call overseas, I would have to spend 45 mins waiting to get their agent who would fix it a minute or state it will take 24 hours. We got frustrated with it.

They picked up my modem in May of 2011 and I am still waiting for my refund for the modem and it is now October 2011. I have called several times and they keep saying that they are sending it. So I have simply resorted to taping their calls on my cell phone and I have clear evidence now that they keep holding on to my money. Every time you ask for a supervisor they state that the supervisor cannot be contacted and that you will receive a call back. A call back is never received unless they are trying to convince you to stay with the company.

Presently, I have two calls with their customer service representatives recorded with the date and issue at hand. I will post these for the benefit of other people who have had the bad fortune to take on their services if requested.

VOIS is rip off. Their sales agents will tell you all kinds of lies for selling service. I took their service, i never worked properly. Their customer service hung up on me several times. They did not return my security deposit of $75 and also sent a collection notice from a collection agency for the amount that i never owed. My sincere advice to all of you is that do not get into this mess.

DONT USE VOIS! I've been with them for a couple of years now (didnt know any better and just realized now how much choice there is). Phone goes offline a few seconds to a few minutes at a time a few times a week. they try with their customer service, but I can never understand what they say. I speak 4 languages fluently, so I think I'm pretty good at deciphering foreign accents. The call quality when calling their customer support number is horrible; it's a telecom company for goodness sake! They claim to have offices in calgary, but when I pressed them for an address so that I could go visit them, they balked and never gave it to me.
