I bought two tickets from Vivid Seats last year December 14, 2024. After that, I called them a week or two after to see if there is a possible refund that I can get back for for the tickets cause I had an emergency and I need the money back, there associates told me they don’t do refunds, but they suggested I go to sites or apps that we take for events and then list my tickets and then have someone else buy it to sell the tickets to the close associate. So I took that advice and then I asked for some site and then they requested a mini sites but the one I ended up with was StubHub. I put the tickets there and then was selling them each for who is interested in buying, but even before I went to stop to go list the tickets I called my bank Discover bank and I tried to have them dispute that transaction of the two tickets I bought from Vivid Seats so they said they were going to issue me a temporary credit for the amount for now and see how far they can go with my dispute transaction. I got a mail back from them stating they were unable to resolve my issue so my bank took away the temporary credit. So to me, I knew OK, since the dispute from my bank was not able to go through and the refund from vivid, was not able to go through. It means I still owned the tickets, right?. so I went to StubHub to restart the tickets as I stated earlier. This week is when the concert will be going on.

I received a message from the resale company handling my ticket, indicating that there were two interested buyers and instructing me to transfer the tickets into their names. I was assured I would then be reimbursed for my original purchase, which I hadn't received due to a bank issue, as Vivid Seats stated they don't issue refunds. During a call today, I was informed they had sent a message on January 3, 2024, stating they would relist my tickets and I would receive a refund upon sale. However, I never received such a message and only learned of it when attempting to transfer the tickets. Even if they intended to resell the tickets, they needed my consent, which was never sought. I asked if I would still receive a refund if the tickets remained unsold, and was assured I would. Yet, I never received a refund despite initially requesting one and filing a dispute with my bank. When I questioned the lack of communication regarding the resale, I was given conflicting responses regarding compensation for the oversight. Despite my diligent checking of messages and emails, I didn't receive their alleged notification but did receive numerous promotional emails. I requested escalation to resolve the issue, as I was unexpectedly charged $334 by StubHub for failing to fulfill an agreement I never agreed to. Clear communication from Vivid Seats about the status of my tickets could have prevented this. As a college student, this situation is financially burdensome and unfair, especially considering Vivid Seats likely profited from reselling my tickets without permission. I seek resolution and fair treatment from the company.

Claimed loss: Time and an amount of $334

Desired outcome: Requesting percentage profit if tickets sold higher, reimbursement of $334 StubHub fee, and compensation for inconvenience due to lack of communication. Amount to be decided in resolution.
