UserTesting A Platform with Potential but Mixed Experiences

UserTesting San Francisco is a platform that offers opportunities for individuals to earn extra income by providing feedback on websites and apps. While some users have had positive experiences, such as receiving payments promptly and finding the tasks satisfying, others have faced challenges. Issues like account deactivation without clear explanations, difficulties in qualifying for tests, and lack of responsive customer support have been highlighted. It seems that UserTesting has the potential to be a valuable side hustle, but improvements in transparency and support are necessary to enhance the overall user experience.

UserTesting Over a month in so far, and no issues - they pay!

I was looking up for some other testing gigs and came across some negative reviews about usertesting. I have been testing with them for a little over a month now, and every test I have taken I've beed paid on. Now the tests aren't back to back. On average I get about one test per day. Some days I may get three. Other days there may be none. But I've found that they are reliable and pay on time.
***I have yet to have on single issue, whether with getting tests or getting paid.
I think the key is to do good in your initial test/eval. If you get the concept and know what they are looking for, you will get tests -- I think it's that simple.
If I ever get shafted I will be the first to broadcast it. My brother also tests for them. He too has had zero issues.
5 stars!

UserTesting UserTesting Pays!

I am not a consumer, but I am a current tester of over five years. I tell everyone I know that UserTesting is one of the best things that has EVER happened to me. From the very beginning, customer service has been stellar. They gave me useful feedback on my practice test and have included and paid me consistently since. I've received multiple tests each week. I've never had issues receiving payment. I can see them on my dashboard within minutes after I finish a test, and they are paid to my account exactly a week later to the hour! If I could do this all day every day, I would be a happy camper! Please ignore the negativity and try it for yourself. It might not be for everybody, but they certainly are a legitimate company that pays you to test, and it's fun. No, I didn't get paid for this review, but I do get paid to test.

UserTesting PROFESSIONAL, EASY, & A GR8 SIDE HUSTLE

I work on a small business full time, User Testing is my side hustle. I work from home, and online; I'm able to go back and forth on tabs.
Not qualifying for tests is normal, it only takes a couple of seconds to answer the questions. If you get denied, move on! There are plenty more tests to offer.
If you think about it, on average a test is $10 and they take 10-25 minutes to finish. That's $30 an hour but keep in mind you will not always qualify for tests. I did tons of research before I decided to give it a try. I've been doing this for a week, and I've made $200.

DO YOUR RESEARCH AND APPRECIATE OPPORTUNITIES, BIG AND SMALL. The more you study, put effort into it, stay honest and continue to be grateful for something, the better your results. Open your eyes!
I will update yall in the near future. Good luck to all the beginners.

UserTesting Amazing Boost to Income

I've been doing usertests for a couple years now and I've done over 200 tests. I work full-time and I just keep a tab open in the background and switch over to take the screener questions when I hear a ding. My personal goal is to make a minimum of $100/month but there are some months where I make upwards of $500-$600/month. For March I'm on track for approx. $400. For me I use this "little boost" of income to pay down my mortgage faster. There are many screeners that I don't pass but when I do, it's so exciting! I'm an opinionated person so I love and thoroughly enjoy helping companies see both the positives and negatives about their products/processes/prototypes. I do believe you have to fit into a certain demographic to be able to get the maximum amount of tests, for which I am fortunate to qualify for lots. I have never been denied a payment through this company and when I've had a technical challenge, I contacted support and they were able to rectify the situation. I recommend UserTesting as a very legitimate company.

UserTesting Usertesting.com

People on this site are severely lacking common sense or patience. I've been doing this for over two years and there are tons of test you don't qualify for. However I do easily make over $200 weekly which isn't bad at all. Now I'm in college and $200 without leaving my room is great. It's almost a part time job.

The trick
Make sure the site is open on a tab at all times, turn on notifications, sometimes manually refresh the testing page as I've found that sometimes I'd have test waiting and not hear the notification bell or see a new test until I refreshed

There are tons of screeners you won't pass but there are others that you will. It is ANNOYING but that's the nature of the job. I try to work on it 6 days a week minimum of 4 test as day. You get paid $10 every test with the average test lasting 8-13 minutes. Not including the $30 - $60 payouts for the longer test.

Pay Scale
$10 for 8-20 minutes of work
$30 for 30 minutes
$60 for 60 minutes

It works for me bottom line... I get the annoyance but people complaining about doing 4 screeners and not getting a hit are completely clueless. It's annoying because I don't want to see them get a bad reputation that they don't deserve.

UserTesting Amazing and easy!

Almost all of the reviews that I have read here are negative. The majority of people writing them are obviously not educated on what UserTesting is for.
UserTesting is for extra cash and not meant to be a part-time job.
They never claim to be an alternative to a job nor do they say they will send tests at a specific time to specific people. The amount of tests you receive depends largely on your demographics and your diligence to check for them.
With that said I will go on with my review:
I have been usertesting for over a year now. The first few months, I was not very impressed just like the rest of the people reviewing. I didn't get many tests and didn't qualify for many.
However in the past 4 months UserTesting has been amazing for extra income. Last month I made $300 USD just by testing websites.
I will say, though, that I am signed up with multiple usability testing websites; not just UserTesting. I probably made around half of that with UserTesting though and the other half with another company.
I think they are incredibly generous to offer a $10 payout for 10 minutes of your time. So what if you have to wait a while, just leave the site on in the background and take it when you get one.
I love this website! UserTesting and the other one I use are the best usability testing sites I have ever used.

UserTesting My Frustrating Experience with UserTesting.com: Wasted Time, Pointless Questions, and No Support

I recently had an experience with Usertesting.com and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. As someone who is currently in a situation where I am unable to leave my house for work, I was excited at the prospect of making money with an online part-time gig. However, my experience with UserTesting proved to be a waste of my time and efforts.

I initially signed up for the site and passed their test in order to be able to receive paid work. My first test was short and paid only $3, but I received a 4 out of a 5 rating for it. I waited for more tests to come in, but was disappointed to find that they hardly ever sent me any. Nonetheless, I hoped that over time more tests would come my way. But, when they did come, I was faced with a pointless multiple choice question before I could even take the test. It had nothing to do with testing how a website functions, which is what the job is about.

As someone who was eager to make money, I answered the questions every time, hoping to qualify for a test. However, every single time I was told that the test was unavailable to me, no matter what answer I had chosen. I found this to be extremely frustrating as it seemed that the questions had nothing to do with testing a website and were simply a way to waste my time.

To add to my disappointment, when I attempted to communicate with the company about my lack of work, I received no response. As someone who was eager to earn some income, I felt as if my time had been completely wasted. It seemed as if the company was uninterested in working with me or providing me with any sort of positive experience.

Moreover, I was concerned about the fact that UserTesting had collected my personal information and required me to download their screen recording software. I have no idea what else this software could have been doing while in operation, and I feel rather uneasy about the whole process.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for online part-time work, I would suggest that you look elsewhere before wasting your time with UserTesting. Their process of randomly spawning multiple choice questions before screen testing always during very scarce number of requests coupled with the lack of response from the company signals deep fundamental issues.

UserTesting Earn Some Extra Cash with UserTesting: A Comprehensive Review

I have been using UserTesting for around 18 months now, and I have to say, I am really happy with the platform. It's a great way to earn a bit of extra cash each week, in exchange for just a few hours of your time. I typically spend around 2-3 hours each day, five days a week, doing tests, and I am able to earn around $100-$160 per week on average. Of course, this isn't going to make you rich, and it won't pay all of your bills, but it is certainly helpful. I usually end up making around $400-$500 per month, which is enough to pay for some small expenses or contribute towards something bigger.

That being said, there are a few downsides to the platform. Sometimes there are technical difficulties, and the site might crash while you're doing a test. However, UserTesting will usually reach out to you and compensate you for your time, which I think is fair. The other downside is that there are days when I struggle to qualify for any tests at all, despite my best efforts. On other days, I might qualify for several tests, so I try to work a bit longer to make up for the days when I can't seem to qualify for anything.

Overall, I've found UserTesting to be a great way to earn some extra cash. The customer service has always been excellent, and whenever I've had any issues they've been quick to respond and resolve the problem. There are two types of tests you can qualify for: moderated tests, where you speak live with a company while reviewing their prototypes in real time (these typically pay between $30-$90 per test), and non-moderated tests which usually pay $10 per test. Personally, I prefer to do the non-moderated projects, and I'm still able to make at least $100 per week.

In conclusion, I recommend UserTesting to anyone who is looking for a way to make some extra money each week. As long as you go into it knowing that it's not a part-time job that will pay all of your bills, and that there may be some technical issues from time to time, I think you'll be very happy with the platform.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: A Fun Way to Make Extra Cash or Pass Time?

When I first signed up for UserTesting (usertesting.com), I was excited to make a little extra cash on the side. The initial test was easy and fun, and I was eager to take on more tests. Fortunately, the "try out test" provided me with numerous tests to choose from. I opted for a five-minute test that promised a $3 payout. After submitting my work, I received an email a few days later, notifying me that I had been accepted. I immediately logged back in to start my first real test, which offered a payout of $10. I was thrilled!

But then I hit a snag. After completing the test, I had to wait a long week for it to be approved. But once that was done, I was ready to go again! However, as soon as I started the next test, a couple of surveys popped up, and I didn't qualify for the job. That was a bit disheartening, and I soon realized that it was hard to qualify for other tests. But on the bright side, UserTesting always pays you quickly for any tests you do get approved.

Despite the setbacks, I think UserTesting is a great idea. It's a fun way to make money, especially if you can get past the qualifying surveys. I've been sticking with laptop tests, so I’m not sure if the phone or iPad ones are easier or harder to qualify for. But one thing is for sure: if you're looking to supplement your income, this is not the best option to consider. That was my mistake when signing up. However, if you're looking for a great site to pass the time, earn a little bit of money, and contribute to market research efforts, UserTesting is worth checking out.

Since my last review on June 6th, I’ve been able to complete a few more tests with UserTesting, bringing my total earnings to $33 in three weeks. While I don't feel like this is a reliable source of income, it’s comforting to know that the site is legit and can provide some compensation for your time. Compared to the other testing sites I’ve signed up for, UserTesting is the only one that has offered work opportunities. If you do consider giving it a try, make sure you have some free time to keep the tab open for hours on end because the available tests can be few and far between. Overall, I’d still recommend giving UserTesting a shot, especially if you're looking for a fun side gig.

UserTesting Unprofessional and Unwarranted Deactivation: My Experience with UserTesting

As someone who has been using UserTesting for a little over a year, I have to say that my experience has been a mixed bag. On the positive side, I have had the opportunity to participate in over 200 tests during this time, and my average score has been a respectable 4.8 out of 5. However, I have run into some issues with uploading tests from my Android phone, particularly my Note 8. Despite using an iPhone as well, I have found that tests simply refuse to upload at times.

Recently, I had such an experience when I attempted to upload two tests. One failed to upload, despite being completed, while the other uploaded without any issues when I used my laptop. After reaching out to their support team, a representative named Alex assured me that I would be compensated, which was a relief at the time. However, when I emailed him back to inform him that none of the reasons he listed for failed uploads were applicable in my case, I had no idea of the bombshell that awaited me.

Today, April 6th, I received an email from Jeremy, who was purportedly responding to a query I had sent back in February about the inability of the Android app to upload videos. Imagine my horror when Jeremy said that my account had been deactivated due to fraud and that no explanation was available for this drastic step! This was beyond ridiculous, considering that I have actively participated in over 200 tests over a year, with exemplary ratings, and have never tried to cheat their system. I found it astounding that they would even try to suggest that I had been involved in any kind of fraudulent activity.

What's worse, the manner in which this was communicated was extremely unprofessional, with no regard for the time and effort I had invested in their platform. In short, my experience with UserTesting has been soured considerably by this abrupt and unwarranted deactivation, particularly since I had accumulated over $100 in my account. I caution anyone who is considering signing up with UserTesting to be wary of this kind of treatment, and to not let the positive reviews cloud your judgment.

UserTesting My Experience with UserTesting: A Great Way to Earn Extra Cash!

I've been an active member of UserTesting for over 5 months now and decided to share my experiences with the platform. Let me cut to the chase - it is not a substitute for a full-time job, but it's a great way to earn some extra cash. Though the amount can vary, I make around $50 - $100 per week by participating in surveys and user tests that I qualify for. On the Available Test page, screeners are generated, and I have to complete them to check if I'm eligible for a particular survey or test.

After reading some complaints from users on the internet, I realized that people who are unhappy with UserTesting might not be part of a demographic that attracts a considerable number of tests or may have misrepresented their answers to qualify. The system is programmed to prevent such activity and penalizes users if they attempt to forge qualifications. Although clients can provide feedback to UserTesting's customer service, panel members may not receive ratings for every test they participate in. I have only received 4 reviews after 75 tests, but I know for sure that fudging my screener answers will lead me to fewer opportunities to participate in the future.

I have taken countless screeners that ultimately disqualified me for testing, and it can be frustrating. But I am grateful for the tests I do qualify for, and I enjoy contributing to the user experience of product and web development for UserTesting customers.

If you are new to UserTesting, it's vital to read the frequently asked questions on their Help Center and go through as many Support Articles as possible. This will increase your chances of qualifying for tests and making the most of this opportunity. Always keep in mind that this is a serious service, and the feedback you offer plays a crucial role in improving the user experience for clients. With the right mindset and a bit of patience, UserTesting can help you earn some extra cash while giving you a voice in shaping digital experiences.

UserTesting UserTesting: Good in the beginning, but now a hassle

UserTesting is a website that pays testers to provide feedback on websites and apps. I have been a tester for years, and while it was great at first, my experience has deteriorated over time. Initially, I would qualify for many tests and clients would give me high marks for my detailed work. However, the problems began when clients and UserTesting found ways to decline payment. I would have to prove that I did exactly what was requested before I received my compensation. It felt like I was dealing with an insurance company that would deny claims and maybe deny the appeal.

Then, I went through a lull where I got no tests at all. I contacted UserTesting for a solution, but their response was to wait for more testing opportunities. At that point, I stopped searching because I felt there were too many testers and not enough work. However, about a year ago, the test requests started to roll in again. Unfortunately, I never qualified for any tests. It seemed that UserTesting (or their clients) phrased the qualification survey in such a way that they got the information they needed without me actually taking a test. These questions seemed like free marketing research and would include personal questions such as my income, age, auto insurance provider, and preferred brands.

Now, it's even worse. I receive a tsunami of test requests, and they still gather data for marketing research purposes in the guise of qualifying questions. To add to the hassle, UserTesting sends the same test request on multiple dates, and they even send requests for high-paying qualifying tests that have already expired. When I checked my inbox, I had six pages of tests to go through, and after attempting about 30 tests, I did not qualify for a single one. I tried to decline all the tests in bulk, but I couldn't. I had to decline one page at a time. This process made me wonder if declining tests affected my chances of getting future tests. At this point, I no longer trust UserTesting and question their credibility.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: An Unsatisfactory Experience with Poor Security and Unfair Treatment of Testers

I have been using UserTesting (usertesting.com) for quite some time now, and as a Canadian, I must say that it is quite a challenge to find tests to take on this website. Although I have been using the platform for years, I often find it difficult to qualify for tests that are available exclusively in the United States. This results in me missing out on potential income, and it can be quite frustrating at times.

One major issue that I have with UserTesting is the unfair treatment that testers receive. The individuals who write the tests can be very touchy and are quick to rate you one star for the slightest mistake. This is discouraging, especially when the test that you are participating in is poorly written and ridden with grammatical errors.

Another issue that I have with UserTesting is the review process. It takes forever, and the test maker usually agrees with other reviewers, even when you know you didn't deserve the rating that you received. This can be upsetting, especially if you have worked hard to maintain a perfect five-star rating.

Furthermore, finding tests to take can be a challenge as there are often few available, and even when they are, they may not be ones that I qualify for. This can limit earning opportunities.

Another issue that I have experienced on UserTesting is the lack of security. I have had my account hacked, and someone changed my PayPal to an email address that I had never seen before. I lost money from the tests I had completed weeks earlier. I contacted the support team and informed them of the issue, but they were unhelpful and took two months to respond. They claimed that there was no evidence of a hack and that the money was sent to the right address - which was not true. This experience was stressful and shows that the security measures on the site are inadequate.

Overall, I have had negative experiences with UserTesting and would advise others to steer clear of the website. The company needs to consider the user more and take strides to improve their site's overall functionality and security measures.

UserTesting Review of UserTesting: Pros and Cons of Earning Money by Testing Websites and Apps

Hey there, I just wanted to share my experience with UserTesting, a platform that pays testers to give their feedback on various websites and apps. I've been a tester for a few years now, and lately I've been leaving it open all day and taking lots of tests.

However, like many others have pointed out, there are some issues with the platform. For one, the test qualifications can sometimes be a bit outrageous. I've seen qualifications like "Do you work in Protein Research, Bio-scientist, Physicist, etc?" which is clearly not something that the average person taking online tests for $10 would qualify for. So, you often have to take your best guess and hope for the best.

Another issue is the fact that it's easy to get disqualified from tests, and once you receive a few 1-star ratings, it's game over for you. This can be frustrating, especially if you're genuinely trying your best and spending a lot of time on each test. I've actually received three 1-star ratings for petty reasons, which is really disheartening.

And if that wasn't bad enough, the platform also has a tendency to reverse payments for seemingly no reason. This is especially frustrating because as independent contractors, we rely on our pay from UserTesting to make ends meet. Taking 20 minutes of someone's time for free is just plain wrong.

I was also promised bonuses for certain longer tests that take over 25 minutes, but I have yet to receive a single one. And to make matters worse, their customer service can take quite a while to respond to emails, which is frustrating when you have an issue that needs to be addressed.

All in all, I don't want this to come off as a rant, but these are the issues that I've personally experienced with UserTesting. While it can be a decent way to earn a bit of extra cash, it's not without its flaws. Hopefully, the platform will work to address these issues and improve the overall experience for both testers and clients.

UserTesting Mixed Feelings about UserTesting.com: A UX Designer's Perspective

As a UX Designer, I have been considering using UserTesting.com for my company's app testing. However, after some exploration, I have mixed feelings about the platform. While it may be a decent way to mix testing into the process, the price point is a concern. UserTesting.com is very secretive about its pricing, but after speaking with an agent, I learned that tests cost $90 each. That's pretty steep, even though I can get the first 10 at an introductory rate of $45 each. I also inquired about selecting specific types of professionals, and was pleased to learn that it is possible to do so.

Out of curiosity, I signed up to be a tester, and was quickly disappointed. The setup process was lengthy and time-consuming, with a good deal of time spent setting up my user profile to ensure privacy. I also had to take some long surveys, only to find out that I didn't qualify for many of the tests. It was frustrating to not be compensated for the time spent filling out surveys, especially when the process was so arduous. Additionally, I was docked a point on my first mini-test for taking 4 minutes instead of 5 minutes, despite providing thoughtful feedback. This left me feeling resentful and undervalued.

Finally, I took my first full-length test as a UserTesting.com tester. While it was interesting to see how other designers are working, the compensation was not worth the effort. I spent about 25 minutes completing the test, but had to invest an additional 20 minutes finding a test that I qualified for, as well as ensuring that I was in a suitable environment with good internet connection and no interruptions. My compensation for all of this time and effort? Likely only around $10. Not exactly a fair price point.

Ultimately, I am skeptical about the value of purchasing user tests from UserTesting.com. While I understand that hosting videos and developing software is not free, the compensation to testers is simply not enough to make it worthwhile. The platform could at least compensate testers fairly for their time, perhaps to the tune of $30/hour or $40 per test. Instead, they offer only a meager 10% of revenue and often waste people's time. This is not a fair arrangement, and makes me question the validity of results gathered through UserTesting.com. I would not recommend it as a way to make money, unless you are bored and have time to waste. I also have doubts about the platform's ability to recruit the professional testers needed for high-level interviews.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: Legitimate and Lucrative Opportunity for Website Testing and Extra Cash

As an avid user of UserTesting, I can confidently say that this website is not only legitimate, but also an excellent opportunity to generate some extra cash. Yes, it is true that not everyone will qualify for a test, but this is to be expected with any website testing site. In my personal experience, UserTesting addresses any problems that are reported and compensates testers for issues that arise during testing.

I think it's important to manage your expectations when signing up for UserTesting or any other website testing site. Negative reviews often come from individuals who have unrealistic expectations. However, if you practice recording yourself evaluating a website or product, you will increase your chances of being selected for tests and performing well, which can potentially lead to higher ratings and more opportunities.

Personally, I have been using UserTesting for three years and noticed a significant increase in my ability to qualify for available tests over the past few months. In the past week alone, I have earned $200 from completing tests. Although it is important to note that the amount of tests available to me varies year to year, I trust that UserTesting will follow through with payment as they have in the past.

It is worth mentioning that I also completed testing with Testlio, who have an excellent community of testers, but the pay rate is $18 an hour for a lot more work. In comparison, UserTesting pays $10 for 10-20 minutes of work, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking for a side hustle. Testers only need to install a tool to record voice and video once, making it easy to get started.

For those who are new to website testing, recording yourself evaluating a website is a great way to practice and improve your skills before tests are made available to you. I did this myself and discovered that I needed to slow down my thought process to ensure that I was clear in expressing my insights.

In conclusion, I give UserTesting a five-star rating as a tester and highly recommend it to anyone seeking to generate extra cash as a website tester. With realistic expectations and some practice, it is a reliable and enjoyable opportunity to earn money on the side.

UserTesting Answer User Testing client marketing research questions for free

Ive been doing testing for them for years. In the beginning it was great. I would qualify for many tests and the client would give me high marks for my detailed testing. Then the problems began. Clients and even User Testing would find any way they could to decline payment. Id go through the recorded video with User Testing and show them I did exactly what was requested. They would then pay out the fee for my work. Kind of like an insurance company. Deny the claim and maybe deny the appeal.
Then there was a lull where I would get no tests at all. I wrote to them and they told me to keep waiting for tests. I just stopped looking at that point because I figured there were too many testers and not enough work. Then the test requests started rolling in again about a year ago. I never qualified for any tests. What I think User Testing is doing (or their clients) is to phrase the qualification / survey in such a way that they get the information they need without you actually having to take a test. Think of the questions as free marketing research. For example, you get questions like what is your income, what is your age, what auto insurance do you use, what brands do you use?
Now its even worse, if thats even possible. I am hit with a ton of test requests. They still gather the data for marketing research purposes in the guise of qualifying questions. But now they will send you the same test request multiple times on different dates. They will send you requests for high paying qualifying tests which have already expired. I hadnt checked my inbox there and I had SIX pages of tests to go through. After going through about 30 tests and not qualifying for a single one, I tried to decline all the tests in bulk. You cant do it. You can only do one page at a time. I dont know if declining tests hurt you for getting future tests but at this point I dont care. The company has lost all credibility in my book.

UserTesting Unfair To The User

I've tested with User Testing for years so I'll give a little background, I live in Canada so my tests are very limited compared to the US Tests and this makes using the site mush more difficult and making money even harder.

The one thing I hate more than anything is unfair treatment the Testers who write the tests for you to take are very touchy and will rate you one star for the slightest mistake, even if it's poorly written with spelling and confusing grammar mistakes.

When I do a test I give my honest review and thoughts on the site app or whatever they need reviewed but if you even as give a little bit of criticism or get frustrated with a buggy or unstable app the site the test maker will take it personally and rate you one star, the annoying thing is the review process takes forever and every time they come back agreeing with the test maker.

I worked very hard to work up a perfect 5 star rating and it was ruined by a bunch of one stars one after another.

Most of the time you can't even find a test you qualify for and when I do I am very reluctant to even take it.

A while back my account got hacked and someone changed my Paypal to some other email I have never seen before I lost 30 bucks from some tests I did a few weeks earlier, I E-mailed them told them I did not change this Paypal email and they should have an E-mail system to inform you it was changed, there is no security at all. I have to change all my passwords just to be safe on all websites. I got an email back two months later saying that the "security" department did find any evidence of a hack and that the money was sent the the right address even though it was not and anyone can see that in there department, they even sent me the Paypal of the hacker and said this was always my Paypal address a flat out lie.

I have many more horror stories like that with User Testing.

User Testing needs to take a huge step back and look at themselves and remember the User in User Testing.

To sum it all up stay away from User Testing and tell your friends to stay away too, these guys need to go out of business.

UserTesting Decent Website, Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with UserTesting

I've been using UserTesting for a good few years now and I have to say, it's a pretty decent website. You can make a fair amount of money in the long run, which is always a plus. However, I do have to say that their customer service is the absolute worst. I recently had an issue where I accidentally mistyped my email address while updating my profile. I only missed one letter, but it was enough to cause some major problems.

I was trying to reset my password and that's when I realized that the email was wrong. I contacted the support team to see if it was possible to correct my email or remove my profile fully and create a new one. I didn't want to keep a profile that had an incorrect email, as it might even belong to a stranger. Unfortunately, I didn't get a response from the support team. Meanwhile, my laptop logged me out of my profile, and I had no access to my account at all. I couldn't reset my password either, as the verification letter kept getting sent to that incorrect email.

That's when I decided to create a new account, hoping that the support team would respond and remove my original account with the incorrect email. Instead, they deactivated both of my accounts, stating that I had violated their terms of service. Now, I understand that it clearly states in their terms that you can't have multiple accounts. But I had absolutely no intent to violate their terms. I appealed their decision, but they refused to change it.

Their decision is not understandable to me. I've used the website for years without a single violation, so why would I intentionally violate their terms? I provided all the proof supporting my innocence, but it didn't seem to matter. Losing quality testers because of an unintentional mistake is not a good quality for any business. It's a shame, really, because I did enjoy using UserTesting. But their customer service and decision-making process have left a bad taste in my mouth.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: Frustrating Interface and Discrimination Against Certain Demographics

At first, I wasn't too sure about UserTesting. They made me take a test to see if I was a good fit for their panelists, which I thought was a bit unnecessary. But I did well on the test, so I thought I'd give it a shot. However, I quickly noticed that I wasn't able to access the higher paying projects, even though I was approved for them. It seemed like the site's interface was preventing me from selecting these gigs. Despite this setback, I didn't give up. I kept trying to find work on the site, but the jobs I did get were low paying and required me to submit personal information that made me uncomfortable.

I tried reaching out to support, but I never got a response. I wasn't even allowed to speak to management. It was frustrating, but I didn't let it stop me. I knew I had to figure out a way to succeed on my own. Unfortunately, this put me in a difficult situation where my integrity was questioned. I felt like the algorithms or designers within the UserTesting interface were trying to stop me from communicating and ultimately succeeding on the site. It was a tough situation, but I didn't let it get me down.

Despite the challenges, I was able to make some money on the site. However, I couldn't help but feel like there was something off about UserTesting. It seemed like they were discriminating against certain demographics and trying to control who was able to succeed on the site. I felt like they were monitoring everything I did, and if I started doing too well, they would try to shut me down.

Overall, I think UserTesting has some serious issues that need to be addressed. They need to be more transparent about their policies and make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed on the site. I hope that they will take steps to address these issues in the future, but until then, I would be cautious about using their services.

UserTesting Beware of UserTesting: Unfair Ratings and Payment Issues

As someone who used to enjoy working with UserTesting (usertesting.com), I must say that my experience has been a little disheartening lately. For about a year, I would receive 1-2 tests daily, which amounted to roughly 50 tests per week, which seemed adequate. My average score of 4.9 was also quite impressive. However, last week, they suddenly stopped processing payment for a few days.

Later, they posted an update that the payment issue had been fixed and were processing all outstanding payments. Excitedly, I checked my account only to see that I had zero pending payments, which was odd since I should have had at least 50. Upon further investigation, I found out that I had been given a 1-star rating on one of my tests. According to the rating, they accused me of using multiple accounts, which was a total falsehood. It was crystal clear that they had voided all my pending payments.

I was appalled at how UserTesting treated me and, by extension, their workers. I bet they still charged their clients for the work I did, without paying me appropriately. It felt as if they had used my intellectual property and did not compensate me. I'm advising anyone who intends to work with UserTesting to tread carefully. Unless you have a unique voice, be prepared for them to falsely accuse you of wrongdoing and refuse to pay you for your work.

Additionally, the android app is problematic too. At times, it would freeze after you've spent around 15-20 minutes on a test, or the recorder would malfunction. One time, I worked on a test for half an hour, only for the app to fail to upload my responses. I even took about 2 hours trying to upload a 15-minutes test once, but it was all in vain.

That's not all; I have reported the issue to the company, but they never came up with any solution to the problem. All in all, I must say that my once enjoyable UserTesting experience is now riddled with issues and challenges.

UserTesting Mixed Experience with UserTesting: Positive Reviews and Negative Experience with Personal Information Sharing

As someone who enjoys testing websites and providing feedback, I have used UserTesting on multiple occasions and have had positive experiences overall. I was pleased to receive 5-star ratings on all of the tests I completed, which numbered around 5 or 6. It was a fun way to try out different websites and provide valuable insights to various companies.

However, I recently had a negative experience that has led me to reconsider my use of UserTesting. During a test, I was asked to share my personal information, including the names of my co-workers, messages, and details of all the meetings I had conducted using the software. I felt uncomfortable sharing this information, and as my company policy prohibits such sharing of proprietary information, I declined to do so. I followed all of the instructions given to me and the test took me slightly longer than the specified 15 minutes.

To my disappointment, I received a bad rating because I failed to share my company information. I reported this incident to UserTesting, and their response was less than satisfactory. While they acknowledged that I was right to withhold such information, they refused to compensate me for the work I had done or modify my poor rating. In fact, they deducted not only the $10 I had earned from the test, but also all of my pending payments from the same day, amounting to around $40. Although they apologized for their mistake, they did not provide me with the compensation I was due.

Based on this experience, I am no longer comfortable using UserTesting and would advise others to consider alternative options. While the website offers a fun and engaging way to test websites and earn money, the company's policies and practices have let me down when it mattered most.

UserTesting Review of Usertesting.com: Discrimination and Misleading Demographics Matching

As a new user of usertesting.com, I had high hopes after successfully completing the sample test and being approved. However, my initial excitement was quickly dampened by the lengthy wait time for my first test. It took three hours for me to receive a test, and by then it was already late and I had to get some rest.

The next day, I woke up to find four tests waiting for me. I eagerly clicked on the screener checker, only to realize that I was unable to qualify for any of the tests because I was not currently employed. This left me feeling confused and disheartened. Why did they select tests for me that did not match my demographic information?

Over the course of two days, I received ten more tests, yet none of them were relevant to me. It felt like a complete waste of my time and I began to question if this platform was discriminatory towards people who did not have full-time jobs.

It is clear that usertesting.com needs to do a better job of matching tests with suitable testers. The initial profile we set up is supposed to ensure that we receive tests that match our demographics and experience, yet this was not the case for me. It is frustrating to think that my information may be used for other purposes, such as data mining.

In order for this platform to be successful, it needs to ensure that tests are being distributed fairly to all users. It should not discriminate against people who have part-time jobs or are currently not employed. This will in turn attract a wider range of testers and provide a better experience for everyone involved.

UserTesting Beware of UserTesting: Deceptive Practices & No Pay for Users

UserTesting promises to pay $10 per test to its users, but unfortunately, my experience with the site has been a total disappointment. I created an account with them a few months ago and was excited to start earning money by completing tests. However, after completing the initial unpaid test and receiving a 5-star rating, I found that every single test I tried to apply for disqualified me after answering the screener questions. This continued for two months with absolutely no results.

It quickly became clear to me that UserTesting is using sneaky business tactics to take advantage of unsuspecting users. The first unpaid "qualification test" that they give you is most likely an actual test for their clients, but UserTesting just keeps the money for themselves. Once you become a verified user, the "screener" questions are actually surveys that UserTesting sells to other companies for profit, without giving you any compensation in return. Unfortunately, it seems that other similar sites including UserLytics and UserFeel also operate in a similar manner, because I never managed to make any money with those platforms either.

It is shameful that companies like UserTesting are taking advantage of their users, and even more concerning that some big-name YouTubers are promoting them because they are more interested in promoting affiliate partners than providing honest reviews of problematic sites. The issue of privacy is also a significant concern as UserTesting, UserLytics and UserFeel all involve recording videos of the user's screen, putting their private information at risk.

I would advise anyone who is looking to earn money through testing sites to steer clear of these platforms and spread the word about their deceptive practices. It is unfortunate that we have to be so wary of companies that purport to offer easy ways of making money, but it is important to do our research and raise awareness to protect ourselves and our privacy online.

UserTesting Disillusioned with UserTesting: Decreased Availability of Tests and Unfair Rating System

As a person who has used UserTesting for a while, I must say that the site has been a great platform for me to earn some extra cash. The user testing tests were always available, and I would typically be accepted for about 2-3 tests per month. Completing these tests was always straightforward, and the pay was consistent and fair.

Additionally, I have participated in some studies with UserTesting and was always rated positively. I felt that my contributions were being valued and appreciated. However, things started to change in the past year, and I have not been successful in any of the studies for a while now. I have a 4.5-star rating, which is pretty high, so I find it peculiar that I have not been selected for any studies.

The last straw came when I completed my last test. Despite feeling confident that I had done everything correctly, the "customer" and user testing both believed that I had not completed the task successfully and gave me a 1-star rating, which meant that I would not receive any pay. I even had proof in the form of written answers that I had done everything required of me. The fact that they would give me a rating so low when I knew I had accomplished the tasks was disheartening.

I contacted Usertesting, expressing my concerns and asking for an explanation as to why I had received such a low rating. I also questioned why they would rate someone who had done the tasks 1-star when the rating was meant for people who did not follow instructions or complete any of the tasks. The lack of response from Usertesting was disappointing and made me feel that they don't care about their testers.

Despite their previous good reputation, my experience has left me feeling disillusioned with Usertesting, and I will no longer be wasting my time completing their tests or participating in their studies. Their recent actions of rating testers lower just to avoid payment is unacceptable, and it shows a clear lack of appreciation for the time and effort testers put into these tests.

UserTesting Review of UserTesting: Legit or Scam? My Experience Testing Websites for Cash

I recently had the chance to try out UserTesting, a website where you can earn some extra cash by participating in tests for various companies. Although I have only completed a few tests so far, I have to say that my experience has been positive overall. Upon account creation, every tester is granted a "peek test" that pays out $3. I also had the opportunity to participate in a few other tests that paid out $10 each. All in all, I earned $23.

As with any online money-making venture, there are some users who claim that UserTesting is a scam. They point to a lack of tests or screener questions that seem to always deny you. However, in my experience, this is not accurate at all. The website distributes tests based on demographics, meaning that companies are looking for specific types of people. It could be that they want people who live in a certain area, subscribe to a specific service, or have a particular type of lifestyle. This means that the number of tests you get will depend on your demographics, and unfortunately, there's no real way to know in advance which ones will be in demand. This fact is even acknowledged by the website itself.

I can understand why some users may feel frustrated if they're not getting as many tests as they hoped for. However, this doesn't mean that UserTesting is a scam. It just means that at this time, there may not be as many companies looking for people with your particular demographics. It's important to remember that there are plenty of other ways to make money from home, so it's not worth getting upset over a streak of bad luck.

All in all, I would recommend UserTesting to anyone who's interested in doing some easy work from home and making extra cash. The website is legitimate and pays out as promised, and while the number of available tests can be unpredictable, it's still worth a shot. Who knows - you might end up being the perfect candidate for a high-paying test!

UserTesting UserTesting Review: Lack of Transparency, Inconsistency, and Frustration

As a passionate website reviewer, I eagerly joined the UserTesting community with the hope of sharing my opinions on various websites and their usability. However, I was disappointed to find that the screening process was somewhat tedious and time-consuming, with at least 50-60 screeners to go through. While I did eventually get selected for certain surveys, the entire process left me feeling more than a little underwhelmed.

The main issue I had with UserTesting was the lack of consistency and transparency in their survey questions. Despite answering them honestly, I felt as though my time and efforts were not being valued as I rarely received any compensation for my participation. In fact, it often felt like the website was intentionally withholding payment for my opinions and insights.

Another frustrating aspect of UserTesting was the sudden and inexplicable disappearance of surveys that I was qualified for. Often, I would prepare myself for a survey only to find that it had been cancelled at the last minute, leaving me feeling even more cheated. This led me to question the legitimacy of the website and whether it was truly a reliable source for earning money or simply a ruse to obtain free survey answers.

After dedicating a substantial amount of time to UserTesting, I was disheartened to discover that it was not the worthwhile experience that I had hoped for. While I appreciate the potential value of their platform, I cannot in good conscience recommend it to others, unless they are truly committed to answering surveys without expectation of compensation. Ultimately, my experience with UserTesting was a disappointing one that left me feeling undervalued and scammed.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: A Legitimate Way to Earn Extra Cash on the Side #UserTesting #ExtraIncome #SurveySite

UserTesting is a website where users can take surveys and earn some money on the side. Although the money earned may not be enough to live on, it's still a great way to make some extra cash. On average, users have reported making $20 to $40 per week. However, it's important to note that UserTesting shouldn't be viewed as a primary source of income, but rather as a supplementary one.

One of the reviewers had a technical difficulty that had affected their overall experience. They explained how they had taken a survey using their iPhone, but the test had unexpectedly stopped recording when they reached the last question. Unfortunately, this happened twice. As a result, $20 went down the drain, which was a major issue. However, the reviewer had made $140 off this website already in the past three months, which was impressive. The downside to this was that they had lost $20, which brought their earnings down to $120. The reviewer mentioned that they would only take desktop surveys going forward and avoid phone surveys to minimize the risk of losing money.

The negative reviews on SiteJabber about UserTesting are somewhat misleading. The website is 100% legitimate and offers a great opportunity to make extra money. The negative feedback is due to the high expectations of some users. People should not view UserTesting as a primary job but a way to earn some extra cash on the side. It's not uncommon for websites to take a long time to find the appropriate customer pool that best suits their needs. It's important to be patient and understanding of that process.

Overall, users of UserTesting can earn some extra money by taking surveys. Although it's not a primary source of income, it's a great way to supplement earnings. The website is legitimate, although some negative reviews may suggest the contrary. Users might experience some technical difficulties, but it's nothing out of the ordinary and won't affect the overall experience.

UserTesting Disappointing Experience with UserTesting's Tester Support: Lack of Communication and Technical Issues

As someone who has been using the UserTesting website for nearly two months now, I am disappointed to report on my negative experiences with their "Tester Support" service. When it comes to obtaining assistance with website issues or technical problems related to the site's app, it seems that their Tester Support team is nothing more than an idea in progress, as I have yet to get in touch with anyone.

In fact, despite reaching out to their team using multiple methods, including using the Contact Us support ticket feature on their website, sending emails to the provided address and even using the "Report A Problem" feature on my mobile app, I have never received a response. Since first starting up with UserTesting in May of 2020, I have sent out about 20 emails and have not gotten a single reply--not exactly an encouraging sign.

While there is currently no direct financial impact on me as a result of this, there are still frustrations to be had. In the past week alone, seven of the mobile tests I've attempted to take have failed to load--with error messages popping up on-screen after I've already passed various screener questions. Given that I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, and my permissions are all up to date, it seems that this is an issue on the UserTesting side. Unfortunately, as I have no way to reach Test Support, I'm unable to get the problem resolved. With $70 in income lost from these failed tests, and the knowledge that I can't rely on support if more issues arise, it's hard to stay motivated to continue testing.

UserTesting UserTesting Review: Pros, Cons, and My Experience with the Platform

I have been using UserTesting (usertesting.com) for a few years now and I must say, it has been quite a rollercoaster ride. When I first became a user, I was excited to score at least 10 reviews a week, and back then, it really wasn't hard to qualify. However, I decided to take a break and try my luck in the out of house job market. Being cooped up for years trying to make it online with many other ventures was seriously getting to me and leading to too much competition and roadblocks.

Fast forward to 2019, I decided to come back to the user testing sites and even try out some of the newer ones. And for good reason. Like many of you on here complaining about qualifying on usertesting, it really is like trying to win the lottery! They really should not be so specific. If companies are going to seriously think a set demographic is going to come in and view a site in a specific way they want to beta test, sure it might be realistic in some ways, but what a complete waste of time for them.

In my experience, the qualification criteria can be quite intimidating and challenging to meet. This should only be based on some basic criteria, such as if you work for a company that uses the program and if they sell this type of product. It should be a first come first serve basis. I understand that they do a lot of this to cut down on BS artists, but maybe they can find other ways to find trusting usertesters?

In summary, UserTesting (usertesting.com) has its pros and cons. While the payout is reasonable and the platform is easy to navigate, the qualification requirements could use some work. However, if you are patient and persistent, you can end up making some decent money with UserTesting (usertesting.com). So, give it a shot, and see how it works out for you.
