LabCorp - Service at Lab Corp, 1310 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004

Hello, I went into the location to have routine lab work. The girl at the front desk took my requisite and directed me to the kiosk to check-in. I then waited outside for approx 10-minutes when she called me into the reception area to ask me about my requisition from Life Extension. She informed me that Lab Corp could not draw my blood because the labs requested on the requisite were not in her system.

I let her know that was surprising because they are routine labs and that I have not had this problem before. I have been coming this location for years with my Life Extension requisite to have my blood drawn for these routine labs drawn and this is the first time there has been an issue.

She explained that the title of the Life Extension Labs were not in her system. She was visibly frustrated and confused. I asked her if I could have a look at the requisite and she handed it to me. The 3 panels I had ordered were:

1. Thyroid Panel (TSH, T4, Free T4, and Free T3)

2. Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy Blood Test, and

3. Female Basic Hormone Panel

These are routine panels and the individual tests were listed on the requisite for the first two panels but not the third so I looked up the Female Basic Hormone Panel on my iPhone and wrote down the 5 labs under that panel and handed the requisite back to her. The Female Basic Hormone Panel tests are DHEA, Estroidal, Free and Total Testosterone, and Progesterone.

She continued to inform me she wasn't able to process my paperwork even though I had provided her with each test on the requisite, stating that she didn't know what these tests were. These are routine labs that are quite common so I wasn't understanding how she didn't know what Vitamin D or DHEA or Estradiol tests were! She had all the information she needed to look up the codes in her system. She informed me that she could not do that so I suggested that she could contact my doctor if she needed further assistance with the codes and provided her my doctor's name and phone number.

She contacted my doctor. She was clearly confused and not communicating clearly about why she was unable to process the order. There was an exchange of dialog but I could only hear one side, her telling my doctor, "you are being rude and I'm not talking to you anymore." She then handed me the phone and my doctor, who was very friendly explained that she was simply trying to understand what the issue was with the labs and why she could not look up the codes? We were both dumbfounded as to what the issue was with entering the requisite into the system.

After I hung up with my doctor, I asked her why she could not just look up the codes in her system since she had the specific labs on the requisite? In a very defensive tone, she did not answer my question but simply told me that I was being rude and basically fired me as a customer. She told me Lab Corp was not drawing my labs at that location anymore and told me to step out of the clinic.

She accused my doctor and I of being rude when in reality she was being rude, defensive and demonstrating an innability to do her job. I don't still don't understand what the issue was. She had the names of the blood tests: TSH, T4, Free T4, Free T3, Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy, DHEA, Estradiol, Free and Total Testosterone and Progesterone. She claimed she had never heard of these tests before!

Her actions against my doctor and I were completely unjustified. And, if my doctor or I expressed any frustration, it is completely justified.

Again, this has not been an issue in the past. I have been bringing my Life Extension requisite to Lab Corp in Bellevue, WA over the years without incident. The nurses drawing blood have always been such a pleasure to work with and I have been coming in over the years without incident.

I didn't catch the girls name but I went into the Lab Corp located at 1310 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004 on Monday, July 18, 2022 around 10:30am. She was the only person working the front desk.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome is that you educate this individual on how to look up codes and coach her on basic customer service skills. And, that I am able to have my labs drawn without being obstructed by or disrespected by one of your employees.

LabCorp - Unethical behavior

I signed in at the Lab Corp in Bellevue via self service screen inside, it said to wait in car, aprox 35 min later I got a text lab tech ready at 8:45, I enter and am abruptly told by rude Nikki that I will have to wait in line again, being last since she just got my lab sheet. I tried to request she also submit results to my primary care dr, she said no, then I mentioned my Endocrinologist who wrote labs also wanted to add pay code for uti on the urine analysis, she said no, said as is, said she wont call anyone, yet she refused to listen to me, and continued to help others as I was first & still not being helped. she abruptly left, telling me I could go elsewhere & she did not have to help/serve me...10 minutes later she returns, helps others, enters their labs... I ask, can you please finish helping me? I ask have you even entered my labs, she says no...90 min now, I was fasting and at hour 14... she told the next people over 2 hour wait... I eventually got my lab slip back & went to Overlake hospital Lab Corp... Excellent service at Overlake, went from the Devil to an Angel... the couple she said 2 hrs. showed up & agreed Nikki was lazy, rude and did not want to work. I feel discriminated against, she was much nicer to foreigners, reverse discrimination.
