I purchased a DELL Studio 15.4 Widescreen Notebook on 10/17/2009. Since notebook was opened by retailer to import basic programs and handed it to me in the box retaped, I did not open it but bring it back to home without physical inspection of the product and started using. Although no problem was found in oprating the notebook, I noticed hollow is there in modem chimber--compartment where modem is inserted. Latter day I visited dealer and asked for some instert (I understand that there is a simple plastic insert for this space come with the product). The retailer told me that this model is come without insert. I would like to know from DELL company if retailer is telling true or not. If the retailer lying to the customer I recommend to reprimand this store therby maintain DELL's good product image. I suppose an insert may cost less than $5.00 yet I am filing this complaint to make sure that the marchnt to keep at least a basic ethics.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
