Mavis Discount Tire - unauthorized repair (never called the owner of car)

I called Mavis on 06 April and spoke to a rep by the name of Patrick who was nice and answered all my questions. I stated my problem (nail in one of my tire). He quoted me two repair prices. I let him know that I was unable to bring the car myself and my daughter would bring it in. He took my name and contact information because I am the owner of the car. I stated to Patrick that i need to be contacted to be informed before any work is done. I received one call and that was from my child to tell me it couldn't be repaired. I could hear the male and female speaking in the background looking for a tire. Quite some time had passed and I did not receive a call or any information. Later after my event I return home receive the payment receipt. "This cant be right"!? They replace the tire with a PIRELLI TIRE. A $200 tire on a 10 year old Honda Crosstour. Total of the bill was well over $300 for one tire. I would have never agreed to put a tire of that quality on a car that old. It is a secondary car! If they had called the Owner of the CAR like I requested this would not have happen!
I was unable to call until today (Monday) because they are closed on Sundays. So this morning I call the location here in Huntsville, AL and explained what happened. I spoke one of the works and he also stated that they don't believe anyone would have agreed to that if they would have known. Because IT IS AN EXPENSIVE TIRE for such an old car. THIS rep…. at the location transfers me to "CHIEF" the store manager. I explained what transpired and "CHIEF" proceeded to interrupt me when I spoke. Doing his best to justify "WHY" this tire was placed on my car and i was not called/informed of the decision. He stated to my "Your daughter was the customer", "SIR" I am the owner of the care. I have never been to any establishment to have a car repairs done and not been notified. At this juncture "CHIEF" decided to tell me what his children would have done if he had sent them for a repair and what I would have done with my daughter. I explained to him "this is a business transaction" and has nothing to do with what you would or wouldn't do. At this point he stated he would talk to a Mr. Tool. Shorty "CHIEF" called me back and stated that Mr. Tool was unable to help or assist in any way because my daughter agreed and she was the customer! Customer?! Sir I am the owner of the car and stated I needed to be called with information and pricing. Once again he stated now that the tire is off the lot it is consider used. And there was nothing that could be done. I asked him for Mr. Tool's full name and number/cooperate number as well. He told me to find it on the intern. Re reluctantly gave it to me when I pointed out it made so sense for him no to have it if had just spoken to him.
I got off the phone with "CHIEF" and call the CS / 914-984-2500 for assistance. I explained my situation and the rep (5193), who was defiantly more helpful and polite than "CHIEF" and pulled up my information and stated the same thing I said..."WOW this is one of our top of the line TIRE". WHICH I KNOW! Which is why I WOULD HAVE NEVER agreed to putting this on a 10 year old car. And as the customer I should have been called. I said that the call was being recorded for training and security purposes. Hopefully it was. She did what she said she would and report it and Mr. Ford would call me. WHICH he did. The unfortunate thing is "CHIEF" had spoken to him first. And he was saying almost VERBATIM of what "CHIEF" had said to me. He asked what I wanted " Well ma'am what do you need me to do for you". I stated to him I need you to refund me the warranty, considering I am forced to keep the tire, discount it and because I didn't authorize it and am forced to keep it and I will take my business someplace else because of the way I feel I am being treated and clearly taking advantage of me not be there.
NOW this is the part I fee was the LAST STAW! MR.TOOL and I quote..." I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO". He asked me what I wanted...I tell him and he tells me, and I quote "ENJOY YOUR TIRE". Mr. TOOL at this point was angry because I stated I wouldn't come back and would not recommends anyone I know to come to this location. Which is my right. And at this point I feel my daughter was taken advantage of and I was treated unfairly and because they money had already exchanged hands.
I have dealt with a few unfortunate customer service situations, but I have never had to deal with two RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and Condescending individual in my life.

Though the entire time… NIETHER one would / wanted to admit that they were wrong by NOT NOTIFYING the OWNER of the car. WHICH IS ME!

Respectfully
Pamela Sharp
