awful ups customer service
I had documents mailed to me internationally from the West Indies through UPS. My documents were held in customs for 4 days without any explanation. When I called UPS to get assistance in finding out why the documents were being held their representatives were just plain rude. I was told that customs was a government agency and they could hold my documents for as long as they liked without any explanation. When I inquired about a number to call for customs I was told to search the Internet for one. While I understand that UPS cannot control customs, their representatives could at least "pretend" like they are trying to help. Instead, they take on a snobby attitude as if I'm interrupting them when this is supposed to be their job. How can a company who has to deal with customs on a daily basis have NO contact information for customs? How can they not know who to inquire as to why a particular letter or package is being held. I understand if customs does not give you a response, however, how can UPS not even make an attempt.
It is now almost a week since my next day air letter was sent and I still have not received it. UPS customer service is by far one of the worse I've experienced in quite a while.
I took a course on Quality Management last semester and UPS senior managers really need to invest in retraining their representatives to provide basic customer service.
ups delivery people!
Last week we were waiting for a package to be delivered from California. We had our tracking verification number and we had payed by credit card for our purchase. The company had our home address on our invoice, credit card statement and delivery tracking notice on the internet. Good thing I made copies of everything. UPS now illegally enters your vehicles because they are too lazy at night to knock on your door. We were home, inside and the UPS delivery man not only put CAR as our address on the tracking invoice they opened our car and placed the package inside. That is breaking and entering in the U.S. I have copies of everything I am saying here. They now break into your home in New York so they do not have to knock and have you sign at night. Why deliver then at night. Unbelievable. In New York now anyone even a UPS delivery man can enter your car or home if they want to, and if you ask the police for help they tell you to be quiet or you will be taken to court. I know I tried 2 times to get help. I was threatened with being taken to court and told to be quiet. Another thing it said right on the package we had to sign and they never even had us do that. So beware if you are forced to have them deliver (like we are now) they will break into your car if they FEEL like it.

wow u are an idiot, they are just trying to deliver and not bother you. calm yourself and quit it with the legal talk - u cleary don't know your ###
If the car was unlocked they did not break in. They should have got a signature though. If they did not they had to forge your name because the DIAD will not let them complete the stop without a signature.
ups driver should look for new employment
I ordered a very expensive granite kitchen rolling cart from Kohls, for which I paid an extra $90 worth of shipping for "special handling." Well, when it arrived, the driver was all alone. He was complaining that the package was so heavy-and it was, nearly 200 lbs-and asked if I COULD HELP HIM CARRY IT UP THE STAIRS! (I am a very petite woman, who has medical problems). We live on the second floor of an apartment building, with no elevator. He was complaining the whole time, and proceeded to turn the box on itself to make it easier to move for him. When I opened the box, my expensive purchase was broken in half. I am so furious that UPS hires such losers who can't even do the job they are paid to do!

im a ups driver and ups dont care about wat the drivers got on the van or wat weight its is, they just fill the van up block all the doors and expect u to del, they r breaking so many rules and making people life hell. the driver has a right to refused del if cust dont help, but ups dont tell cust that so the driver gets all the stick, ups r making good workers sick and r bulling people so badly, they make driver break speed limts and make them rush dels so most driver up up with serious back injury, can anyway help me fight this prob ? how can u call someone a loser ?
One thing that should be brought to line in reference to this issue is UPS only takes packages up to 150 lbs. If the package did indeed weigh 200 lbs, you surely can not expect the driver to be able to deliver it.
Calling him loser for not being able to properly lift and handle a 200 lbs package is a little extreme.
You obvioulsy ordered it from Khols as you knew you could not purchase it locally and take it up two flights of stairs by yourself. Also, knowing that fact, you were willing to spend the additional money to have it shipped and delivered.
Give the driver some slack. it appears Khols tried to save some money by intentionally shipping the package, probably at 150 lbs and not at the 200 lbs it should have been, instead of using one of the LTL delivery options available.
I recently purchased some furntiure from JC Penny's that, had the weight been 150 lbs or less, UPS could have delivered it. However, JC Penny's, knowing that it would arrive in better shape on an LTL, shipped it with a company that employed two delivery men vice the one driver UPS would have used.
The shipper is as much to blame, if not more, than UPS or their driver. Some common sense must be used when shipping freight or packages. UPS does a great job delivering a normal sized and weighted package. None of the delivery services (UPS, FEDEX, DHL or USPS) would have been able to deliver your package to suit your needs.
Lay the blame where it belongs, mostly with Khols.
well i am a UPS driver. The problem with this complaint is this. When most of us were hired the weight limit that we were required to lift was 70 lbs and the demensions were different also. Upper level management (people who do not lift a package) decided that they would move the weight limit up to 150 lbs and accept larger packages. I also know that shippers are not putting the correct weight on the packages and shipping them UPS trying to save money. The driver by contract should have had a helper riding with him to handle a package of that size and weight but as i know management does not allow it because it saves them money and gets them a big bonus at the end of the year. I know all to well because of the slipped disk in my back that happened on the job but in the UPS way it was my fault even though I did nothing wrong.
useless finance department!
I am working for an educational institution. During our convocation last June, our partnered university sent their professor's gown over to Singapore via UPS. The parcel never arrived and it took quite a while before they discovered that the item was returned back to UK without our knowledge. The parcel never even reached our doorstep.
A case was then filed with their customer service center. A month later, they had the cheek to send us an invoice for tax. We called up their customer service and they agreed on the discrepancy and asked me to ignore the invoice. More than 6 months already, we are still receiving the invoice. Everytime i called the hotline, they told me to just ignore the statement as their system is in the process of "upgrading." What kind of company takes so long to upgrade their systems? And mind you, this is a simple matter of resolution and i do not accept what it has got to do with their system.
This is extremely poor service - screwed up on goods delivery, screwed up on accounts. NEVER to USE UPS!
I totally aggree with your complaint
i have sent package on to pay basis and my customer has made payment for that.
Yet they are billing the sae back to us.we have provided them with evidences but they are not listning.
damage to home
On Friday, 2-08-08, a UPS driver jumped over the barrier I erected to protect the wet paint on the floor of my front porch. He rang the bell. I was near the front door and I opened it in time to see the driver leap back over the barrier and get into his truck and drive off.
He left a footprint on my freshly painted porch and left the package in the wet paint. The paint is a special epoxy-type paint that is very sticky. I had to lay over the threshold of the door and reach around to pry up the package.
I called the UPS main number and was told that the local office would call me within an hour. The local office told me that the driver did not have a "lick of paint" on him. I said that my package was covered in paint. I said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor did not call me.
I called the main number again and am still waiting for the supervisor to call me. It is now Monday morning, 2/11/08.
Good Luck finding an honest UPS representative. The UPS man came to my house while I was at home. He apparently thought I wasn't. In spite of my large, dry covered front porch the driver decided to come around to the back of my property. I was in the house undressed at the4 time, but heard something out back. I went to look out the peep hole in my back door and the UPS man rolled his two wheeler right into my pickup breaking off my mirror. Thinking the driver would do the right thing I ran to get some clothes on. When I looked out back again he was rolling his hand truck up my driveway. I ran upstairs only to watch the crooked lithe snake drive away. Within a few minutes I looked up the UPS customer service number and called to complain. I told then I was calling the police. The customer asked me to instead wait as she was calling the local UPS people and they would take care of anything that was wrong. Trust me people - These UPS people are lying ###. They could have fixed my mirror for about $100.00, but because they continue to jerk me around weeks I can not legaly drive my truck and require a rental car. Their game is to wear you out. They lie, they refuse to return calls. They make promises and then don't keep them. It seems all I can do is call the local press and file a suit. I am doing both! If one of these sneaks damages your property throw their ### in jail. That is the only satisfaction you will get out of these lying little sleazy crooks.
I hope your not holding your breath! They dragged me along for over 6 months. Then told the shipper it wasnt their fault and denied my claim. The left my pachage in my yard with 2 large, yet very young, pupped. I came home from work less then 1/2 hour later and didnt even realize they had delivered anything at first . Thats because the puppies torn the small box to shreds! I guess the way they see it, if they drop your package in your garbage can its ok, they delivered it and thats all that matter. I will not be using UPS again, ever.
UPS is the pits, the absolute worst. I have never had so many problem with a shipping company in my entire life. In the last 4 months I have gone thru 4 major problems with UPS. They've Lost my package and I had put thru a claim, they've had me wait 3 hours in the 10 degree weather with my 6 year old son just to tell me they can't find my package, I've stay home numerous times for packages and the driver has gotten out of the truck with InfoNotice in hand and slapped it on the door without even ringing the bell, they've delivered my package to someone else job, basically they're just screw ups. I am going to suggest to my company which also uses UPS that they go back to Fedex. it may be a little more costly but a lot more reliable and friendly.
Poorest customer service
Ups canada sucks,
Poor customer service
High school drop out customer service,
Poor jokers.
One call takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to sort out issues or even 30 minutes to arrange pick up on phone.
Avoid ups canada by all means, it really sucks,
It is waste of time, money and peace of mind /.
Just avoid...
Ups sucks all the way,
UPS is the worst at delivering packages too the correct address. I will never do any business with them again
After 50 plus years of using UPS I will never use them again.
A special anniversary gift for my son as never delivered..."left at the gate" was the reply when I inquired as to why it was not received..the "investigation" lasted a week...they were "sorry" but it was obvious the driver either delivered my package to the wrong address of stole it for himself...THERE IS NO GATE AT MY SON'S HOME!...I tried for a week to obtain a refund for the loss...letter to corporate headquarters, e-mail, filled out online forms, went in person to the UPS local store...with NO luck.
No one can help me...customer service is absent ...using UPS to ship anything valuable is dangerous and unreliable... I will stick to Postal Service or FEDEX

I had a new iphone 14 plus delivered but ups ripped it open, took it out, setup the phone and then put a PASSCODE lock on my barand new iphone 14 plus...
The worst courier I have ever encountered. Tracking service is the worst, unreliable and not updated. Customer service is even worse, doesn’t know how to deal with customers. Waiting for my package since October 26, called customer service almost every day and customer service agent kept on telling me that it will be delivered the following day, and eventually they said that the item was lost and cannot find where the package is. They don’t have a proper monitoring system at all. They ask me to call the sender to report it’s missing and request for an investigation. I always have bad experiences when dealing with UPS. It is hard to believe they are still in business. The solution is to never use UPS again if I can.
UPS needs to do something about their delivery workers. This is the second time my package has been delivered to the wrong address. Luckily the 1st package was a replacement cell phone and couldn't be used without it being tracked if someone else tried to activate it. This time it was a new pair of headphones and I'm quite sure that whoever received them will not be bringing them to me after discovering that they were delivered to the wrong address.
My nieces graduation gift was supposed to be there Tuesday June 15th. Even said it was OTM (on the way). Today Wednesday June 15th and now it says it might be delivered by 7:00pm. So UPS here in the United States sucks just as bad. If we had a local fed x I’d use them. Fed X is more accurate on their deliveries. Tried to find a complaints dept, but they’re so terrible they don’t have one.
Worst customer service ever. A parcel of mine was stolen after UPS delivered it 3-days early. I was out of the province and had changed the delivery date, which was confirmed by UPS, but they delivered it anyway. After acknowledging the package was delivered in error UPS said they would pick it up that day and deliver it on the correct day. But they never picked it up, and I watched it sit outside my door for 2-days on the doorbell camera before it was stolen. Now when I send UPS emails or messages about this they are ghosting me and no one is calling me back.
Good Luck...I wrote to UPS top management about my situation and they also did not respond...so its a neglect of customers issues by UPS management from TOP to BOTTOM...and they want our business...NO WAY!
*** DON'T EVER USE UPS FOR YOUR SHIPPING ***
I wish I had seen this site before shipping my package with UPS Canada.
I shipped a package which contained my daughter's used clothing and personal stuff(towel/shoe/grooming things) she uses and needed with her on a short trip to California.
Shipping was done at my local UPS outlet in Mississuaga-ON and was told expected delivery date would be APRIL 29th 2022...I filed whatever paper/documentation at this outlet, paid my charges and went off about my business.
Unfortunately the nightmare began soon after the package got to USA border customs in Michigan.
The package was held for not listing the personal items and didn't have a 3299 form or unaccompanied articles declaration for personal effects shipment.
1) UPS outlet Rep should have known this was required and should have had me fill this form as required right from beginning...BUT NO... they didn't, therefore caused delay. On top of that, I was the one who called UPS customer service after tracking and noticing the HOLD, they should have called me right away...but thankfully I was proactive in acting on it as soon as I saw the hold up.
2) Customer service Call to UPS is horrendous...it is timed, you get an initial recorded message about filling a survey at the end of a service call. Sadly almost 95% of my customer service calls (over 30 calls) were prematurely ended by this Survey program. On top of that customer service representative can not callback customer in the event of such disruption even when you tell them this problem with phone system.
3) After UPS told me what customs needed and assisted me to complete and send the requested documentation/forms, my package was still NEVER released. My package was held for additional 17-DAYS after UPS local agent sent the request documents. I also sent them through email personally to email address provided by UPS customer service.
4) I made several calls to UPS customer service and I would really hope upper management can play the audio conversation and read transcripts of my exchanges...it is HORRIBLE what I experienced...MIXED messages..I have emails from UPS Reps who said Customs have received all requested documents and yet my package was never released.
I finally ask UPS to return my package since the delivery windows had passed...my daughter had waited too long and she was due to return back home to Canada.
I requested a REFUND for my charges since this whole delay was caused by UPS and they couldn't deliver package on time by APRIL 29th as estimated.
Again it has been FRUSTRATING and a struggle with UPS where one Rep tells me to wait for my package to be delivered back to me before asking for REFUND, and to be told by another Rep that I have just 15 days after shipping to request for Refund and that window has passed.
5) Trying to escalate and speak with a manager or supervisor has been fruitless and impossible.
I get the run around from UPS telling me my package was shipped as "standard" so even though they caused all this delay they can not refund my charges.
I will send this post comment to UPS upper management for then to know what a HORRIBLE and POOR their services are.
They don't value customers and definitely don't DESERVE our business !
DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER
(Leo from Brampton-ON)
I have the same problem and the package has been holding in Canada UPS for clearance more than a week. All documents were submitted a.week ago . Not possible to talk the supervisor. Very frustrated. Don't use UPS anymore.
UPS truck # I52288 plate BA 30406 ontario licence plate drove onto private property of 1945 Wilson Ave, April 11th at 1:pm
I thought he was delivering a package truck remained, I approached driver told him its private property he blocking the way he needs to move, he replied " I'm eating my sandwich, he said what? you gonna call the cops. I said no I will complain to UPS. turns out there is no one to complain to. UPS just lost another customer.
Avoid this company! Not only did the package I sent by express not get to its location by the guaranteed date (sure, really guaranteed! What a joke!), the UPS company refused to give a refund. After they made the mistake of not being able to use GPS or a map.
The address was correct on the package, but UPS denied it was so. Because they want to keep the money obviously. The staff at the UPS store were only slightly helpful. They were more worried however, about deferring blame to UPS than solving the actual problem.
Will never use UPS again. I would give 0/5 if I could.
items delivered - damaged
We refer to a collection of two bed side table from Spain weighing 9 KG each for the above reference no. The both items were properly packed and UPS staff was satisfied with the packaging at collection point. They were also informed the nature of an item and require proper handling.
Upon reciepts the delivery we found both items were badly damaged i.e some of the wood came off partially and in pieces. We informed UPS and they organised a collection for inpection.
We have been told by customer team that the cliam is declined on the basis of that the packaging was not up to standard. We do not agree to this as follows:
1) The items was properly packed and UPS staff were staisfied with the packaging.
2) If packaging was so bad how come one table is broken in pieces compare to other is chipped.
3) Both items were handeled badly by your staff. The items thrown around.
4) We are sure you have a policy for handling items and standars in place. We are shocked and fail to understand the inspection team uable to realise the condition of both items.
5) The items was collected for the inspection from UK address and on what basis the items is returned to spain without our instruction and has to be delivered back to us or to yourselves so you can see the condition of the tables.
6) We would like to ask a question who did a inspection regards to the condition of the tables. Has he looked at the tables in pieces?
Both items were expensive and plus costed us frieght charges. We are very dis appointed with the service we had and the way cliam is handeled .We do not agree to your decisions
and would appreciate if you look in to this matter.
Yours faithfully

I ordered a 36 inch fan from a local store. It was delivered to my house apparently yesterday (late in the evening). I was not aware that the item had been delivered. There was no knock, no ringing of the doorbell. Nothing. So I had no idea the item was on my front porch. When I looked out this morning to get my mail there it was on my porch.
It had rained last night so the box was completely soaked. It was not even wrapped in brown paper or even in a better box. It was placed on my porch and got wet. I am hoping when the box dries the fan will work. What is wrong with your delivery people? I do order a lot online and most of the time my items are fine. If a package is delivered to a home the delivery person should let the owner know that he has dropped off a package. I can't look out the window 24/7 to check to see if I got a package. Please be more careful in the future. Thank you for your help in this matter.
item not delivered
On november 20th, I should have received a package sent to me from the states. Apparently on the first attempt the driver did not find my name in my buildings directory so the 1 st attempt was unsuccessful. Since i've had the tracking number from the get go I checked online to see the status of my package and I realize on the 21st of november that the driver needed further information in order to deliver my package. I called ups at their [protected] number and I spoke to a customer service rep. (Csr) and I gave him all the info needed to make the next delivery a successful one. I provided them with my buzzer number and how my name appeared on the directory to ensure that the driver would be able to find me. On november 26th - 6 days later - the driver attempted to deliver the package a second time, but I guess the csr that I spoke to did not relay my message to the dc for the driver b/c again on my tracking file it was noted that on november 27th, the driver again could not find my name on the building directory. Again I called the 1800 number and provided a 2nd csr with all of my information. The csr assured me that the package would be out for delivery the next day. On the 27th of november I waited around all day for the driver to come to my building and he never came. I again went to look at my tracking sheet to find that the driver said that the address provided on the package was not the right one and now he could not find my building. So for the 3rd time I called ups's 1 800 and told the csr that the driver had originally been at the right building therefore he had the right delivery address so why did he now state that the address was wrong. The csr said there must have been a mistake b/c after confirming the delivery address everything matched the info I gave him with what was on the package. The csr apologized and said that the package would be delivered the next day. On the 28th of november the package still did not arrive and so I decided to give it another day before calling ups again so after not receiving it on the 29th of november I called now a 4th time ups to find out what was going on. The csr read the notes on the tracking of the package and mentioned that he was unsure as to why the package had not been delivered yet and that he apologized for the inconvenience and the package would be delivered the next day. So november 30th came and went and no package so I called ups's 1 800 # and demanded my package to the csr who took my call. The csr could not believe (Again) the history on my package and told me that my package showed as being at the dc and so I could pick it up there if I wanted to just so that I would finally get it. I told the csr that I was going to drive to the dc to do just that, even though the dc is out of the way for me but at this point I figured if I did not go to get it I may never get the package. The csr asked for my contact # to have the dc call me regarding my package so I gave my cell phone number. I then drove to the dc at 2:45pm on 2900 steeles avenue, toronto to find a line up of more than 20 ppl either picking up or delivering a package. At the dc there was only 1 person trying to help everyone. Many customer started to get frustrated due to the long wait and 3 customers walked out upset and 1 lady spoke up and demanded more employees to come and help at the desk. Finally an older lady came out from the back and got 2 more employees to help at the front. I finally got to the gentlemen working at the desk after a 30 min wait and it took him 20 mins to find my package. When he broughted to me he asked me to pay $48.00 in brokerage fees. I asked him why that much when that was half of the cost of the item being sent to me. He said that was the fee charged by them. I was appalled and I said I am not paying that much I need to speak with someone. The gentleman told me to call their 1 800 # and speak to a customer service rep. I did just that and the rep went over my tracking info with me, he could not believe how long it was taking for me to get my package. He apologized profusely and told me that he would take off part of the brokerage fees and I would just have to pay $13.81. He told me that my package would be delivered to me by monday dec. 3rd and not to worry b/c he was sending the dc a note to contact me to ensure delivery. On monday dec. 3rd I was at home all day waiting for my package to arrive and the ups driver never showed up, I received no calls from ups and I was as frustrated as anyone could get.
I went to read the notes on my package and found that the man working the desk at the dc on steeles avenue had put into my file that I had refused the shipment and that it would be going back to the sender?! I was livid when I read this on my file and called monday early evening ups, this meant that my package was not intended to be delivered as I was told. I snapped on the csr that took my call and I demanded to speak to a manager. I had to pull hairs to get to speak to someone other than a csr. I finally got put through to a female manager who identified herself and she went over all the notes and expressed her disbelief on what had happened with my package. Again she apologized and I told her I had heard enough apologies that I did not care for anymore b/c none had gotten me my package. She said that tuesday she would have someone from the dc call me and that the package would be delivered by tuesday. So tuesday dec. 5th came and at 9:15 am I received a call from the dc. A female spoke to me to let me know that the package was on its way and it could be delivered between 9am - 8pm. I actually waited all day at home - if you can believe that! And guess what? No package came.in fact I have video surveillance of the main entrance of my building and the outside of it and I was glued to the tv to see if infact this driver ever came and he never showed up. Yet on my tracking file it stated that he had come at 6:17pm but no one was home. My husband and I were both at home and now my husband was livid b/c that was a lie. I called ups and asked to speak to the manager whose last name I never got. To get to speak to her again was nearly impossible b/c the customer service reps were not comfortable getting her on the phone so I could talk to her again. Finally after ups hung up on me due to a rep's mistake with transferring the call the manager called me back on my cell phone, which was on file. The manage apologized yet again and said that she did not understand what was happening and to allow her to place a formal complaint on the this issue. I told her to go ahead and she said she would have the dc call me on wednesday and that she would send a note to have them deliver my package at a time that worked for me b/c I could not spend yet another day waiting around for ups to show up. I also mentioned to this manager that I had video surveillance showing that the driver was never here and that I was willing to take action with that against ups for lying and not providing a service that was paid for. She said it would not be necessary and that the dc would call me wednesday and the delivery would take place. Well... Today is wednesday and I am without a package to this day. The dc did call me twice in the morning and they did not do anything to get me my package. I have no idea what kind of show ups is running there but they are out to lunch and I can swear to all that I will never use them again for anything as long as I live and I will try to get this story known b/c this is incredibly unprofessional, outrageous and not acceptable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Ireceived one of two packages from UPS. Called UPS representative and he said my order was complete. I have done business with the shipper before. I knew that I was going to receive two boxes. I received only one.
My daughter Lynn Sullivan shipped my suitcase from Norwalk Connecticut on the 10th of June. I flew from New York JFK on the 9th . American Airlines would not take my case because they said it was too late. My daughter then took the case home and mailed it on the 10th from Staples in Norwalk. I was supposed to receive my case on the 16th in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. In my case were my medications including cancer medication, pain medication, hypertension medication, antidepressant. My pharmacy will not reissue the pain medication, one hypertension medication and depression medication because it is too early to refill. My dirty laundry toiletries, three very expensive bars of soap for family, my toiletries included Georgia newly purchased . My two sets of pajamas were missing including my Betty Boop (favorite) . I have reviewed the shipping information my daughter provided and no where is there a tracking number- My case was tracked by UPS to New Jersey and there the ball drops. I would hate to think that a dishonest UPS employee was more interested in my case contents then shipping it. I also had a purple suit that I wore to my Granddaughters graduation from Green Farms Academy on the 8th. I am distraught because my information is on my medication bottles and besides who wants to go without their most important medications. I think the investigation currently underway is worthless .
I ordered a SunSetter awning which they chose to ship to me by ups freight.. Received a call from ups freight stating that they could not deliver to
my address because their drivers could not come into our sub-division because they are not permitted to back up their truck in a residential area.
Suggested they transfer to ups which comes in this sub-division frequently and was told they could not because ups is a different company than
ups freight. Guess they can't even talk to each other or do business with each other either. After discussing ways they could effect delivery, I was
advised they would call SunSetter to ask them what to do or would return my awning to the shipper. After receiving no further word from ups or
SunSetter, I later called SunSetter and asked for assistance in getting delivery. They had received no communication from ups freight and said
they would arrange delivery by having a local trucking company pick up the awning from ups.
UPS freight is the most pathetic trucking company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and I would advise businesses and individuals
to never use ups freight to ship anything.
I absolutely agree with you! UPS's CS and delivery methods are horrible ! I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on 12/23/16. It was not delivered, the driver indicated it was undeliverable because "there was no answer". The recipient was indeed home during delivery and the driver never left a notice. It was rescheduled for delivery on 12/2716 and once again it was not delivered. The package is now rescheduled once again for delivery on 12/28/16! I never requested a signature for this package. I contacted UPS customer service and spoke with a representative (in the Philippines very frustrating) numerous times on 12/27/16 and was told it was in the truck for delivery and it would absolutely be delivered, lies! The CS representatives are just reading from que cards, they look in the computer and give you the same exact information that your able to find on their website. There is no personal contact or caring, it's like talking to a robot that you cannot understand. I contacted QVC where I ordered the item and they had to send out another package! I told them I absolutely did not want it to be sent via UPS, thankfully they cared about my frustrations and are sending it next day air with Fed Ex. I will NEVER use UPS again...if the company I'm buying from uses them I won't do business with them.
I ordered online from Amazon and UPS was suppose to have my package here yesterday and when I checked online it showed delivery attempt but it was not, not even a sticky notice so I called UPS and they said there was an attempt and I said no way because I sat home ALL day. The B.S. customers all the time to cover their butt. Now I have to wait all day today for package to be delivered, like I have nothing better to do than sit home between 8 am and 8 pm. I really DO NOT like UPS BAD SERVICE.
I have been dealing with UPS for almost a month now, over a textbook they delivered to the wrong address. My shipper will not return any of my messages, and my classes start tonight. I bought the book on e-bay, I would think my reciept should be efficent in giving me the reimburment not the shipper.
I am a college student with no extra money to buy another book, without the reimbursment. This is ridiculous, and because of UPS' mistake, I am going to have to wait and hope the shipper gives me a refund.
Thanks UPS, I hope your reputation suffers because of this. They are a horrid company, and they do not care about their customers.
UPS IS THE ### COMPANY WITH THE ### SERVICE! they literally knock on ur door right when u leave the house so that they dont have to come back again! their service sucks aswell because all their agents cant even workd the computer system properly to get requests processed! theyre system is just pathetic and i suggest that if anyone wants their package delivered within the year their ordered it, dont use ups...end of story. i got mine...wait i DIDNT get mine and its been a month!
I will NEVER EVER associate myself with UPS. Over my dead body. Not only that, I'll tell all my friends to stay away from them. We've had a terrible and unprofessional service with their center at 2900 Steeles. The comment on the very top is a carbon copy of our experience with UPS.
Not only did they not deliver, they repeatedly lied through their teeth claiming that there was no body at home while we were home expecting their delivery from 8 AM to 8 PM. Even worse, for almost a week they kept promising it will be delivered the next day. Broken promise after broken promise. As far as we're concerned UPS is removed from our delivery vocabulory. PERIOD. Once burt, twice shy.
I hate ups i was promissed a delivery and just like all the rest of the people here got ###ed by this company
they are motherfcukers! same thing happen with me - does not make sense You are in the [censor]ing building just deliver the package !i would never want these motherfcukers to deliver me but i had no option coz where i made my purchase online they only had UPS .. they are worse no professionalism -took a day off from work whole fcuking day warming my sofa and bed just waiting for that stupid fcuk to deliver my package-
non delivery of goods
THE INCIDENT
Hi there I ordered books from barnes and noble and paid for 1-4 days delivery. I had my friend erica marais of megatraining place the order so that it could be delivered to her business in case i wasnt at home when they came. These people dont phone you or email and tell you there is a problem with the package. when i spoke to annatjie she said no xtra cost. the books have been there since the 22nd nov. yesterday they phoned to say we must pay xtra so we pay it in and today is friday still no books.on the tracking site they say they tried to deliver but no money was available they never delivered any books to us. I need the books what now?
make sense please
worst delievery service
Due to major problems with UPS on my last shipment, I will NEVER use them again and this is why. I needed to send an Xbox 360 to my friend, so instead of going to FedEx like I should have, the UPS store was much closer. The person working the counter was not nice at all. I filled my information out and told her I wanted ground. She made me sign five different things holding me up for 15 minutes that I could have signed while I was marking down the information. She constantly kept bugging me about where I got the Xbox 360, how much, if it was a friend etc...Like it was her business to know. I also ask that someone be there to sign for it since it was going to an apartment build. She said sure but since my friend would be out during much of the day for no one to sign, I asked if it could be delivered after 3 PM. She told me that wasn't possible and that my friend would have to make the arrangements if he missed the package pick and would have to wait the next day to see if he was there before. FedEx’s service was MUCH more flexible, unlike UPS that really could care less on how much time they waste with you.
The UPS stores are independently owned. They are NOT part of UPS at all. You can go on UPS's web site and print out a label and schedule a pick up without going through a UPS store at all.
I was home all morning to wait for a package and it never arrived so I had to leave. I left at 1:30pm. When I came home tonight I had a delivery attempt sticker on my apartment door that said they were here at 11:30 am. Apparantly my neighbor saw it at the front gate and put it on my door. I was home at that time! No one called or knocked.
About two weeks ago I was walking towards the front gate and saw the ups guy filling out an attempt sticker. He looked right at me, put the sticker up and quickly walked away. I think this is some scam they have going. They dont try very hard to deliver to make money when the sender re-ships. I have never had a good experience with this company.
I called to complain but the representative directed me to the website so I can complain. I never use this company to ship but unfortunately many retailers do so I'm screwed on delivery.
always find reasons to delay delivery
UPS CANADA is good in making and faking tracking details. It always claim fault on customer side when delivery is delayed. Often "customer is not found" or " incorrect address" , or " customer not avaialble".
Today I had a package to be delivered in Mississauga near square one in prominent building, I was waiting for whole day since it said "out for delivery" , at around 6 pm. I see tracking system that they coudn't locate my address.
what UPS canada is upto, Are their drivers making fake claim, or UPS has manpower problem, or they intentionally do to cut down their job.
Interestingly they never miss our address for pick ups. Isn't it amusing.
UPS Canada has screwed me many times, ofcourse it is prompt in billing and other affairs which are more profitable for them.
They are just ripoff.
The same happen to me today. The online tracking stated there " incorrect address", but when I called the customer service to check the address is correctly printed in their packing slip. They are lying. I will never use UPS and going tell every one that I know not to use UPS and ask my company to stop using UPS.
UPS guy came to my condo building 3 times in 3 days in Mississauga and never even bothered to call my condo unit to inform me that he has a package for me. What he did was he went to the concierge and ask if there's a check made for UPS everytime he came, and when the concierge said no, he leaves. How can somebody waste company resources by coming back 3 times to deliver something and when he is at the place of delivery he does no effort in contacting the client to deliver the package. I was waiting for my package and I had my check ready with the corresponding amount to pay UPS but I was not informed, not even once that he was downstairs. He was told by concierge to wait and he will make a call to my condo unit to inform me of a UPS delivery. UPS guy said no because he does not have the time. I sincerely hope this complaint would be addressed by UPS management here in Canada. Big companies are all experiencing bad times and employees like this guy who has still not delivered my package are causing big expences for UPS. If I only knew someone in UPS who is with management, I would really go out of my way to report this person because of the lousy job and poor customer service her does. I honestly feel so sorry for UPS-Canada for having this kind of worker under its payroll.
ups - unusually pathetic service!
Nine out of ten of deliveries to me are messed up. Either they cannot find my street, or my house, or its snowing, or something else. My packages are usually only delivered after a phone call [protected]), and when the driver does finally come and I ask him what the problem was, he always says "must be that new driver". Yeah, right. So I've decided to specifically request the companies I order from to send my stuff USPS.
Also I think UPS should change their name to Unusually Pathetic Service, because that's what their service is --unusually pathetic.
Email to UPS
Still don’t have my package.
Was hung up on by your Manager (at least she claimed to be the service center manager) from my local center.
I did EXACTLY what you UPS asked me to do to guarantee I would get the shipment – let them re-attempt, and they would delivery to my leasing office. So when you tag my door – and write on it “Delivered to Leasing office.” And I go to the leasing office – my shipment is not there – and the people who work there state your driver came – delivered freight there but came back an hour later because it was the wrong freight (it belonged to the apartment complex next to ours) but failed to leave anything for us.
So when I finally get to speak to someone from the local service center – of course they have no idea of my past conversations with that facility. And the best they can do I re-delivery the package the next day? I still cant pick it up? Bottom line is – I am the CUSTOMER, I paid for a service – you (UPS) failed to deliver. You FAILED to make right mistakes that your driver made. UPS failed to even try to be helpful or courteous. Instead, I get someone who cuts me off, interrupts, and hangs up the phone?
I wasn’t being rude but I was wanting a solution. If I tell someone I am going to do something – I do it. If I made a mistake doing it – I would correct my mistake.
So this being the first response I have received of the three emails I have sent – I will hope at least some action will be taken to maybe, just maybe rectify situations like this going forward. At least maybe the next customer will have a better interaction with UPS.
I do apologize that whoever is reading this is having to read this. It is a waste of both my and your time. If UPS (along with all courier services) just pick up and delivery the freight as advertised – emails, calls, etc are not needed.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Pretty sad when the only thing I can do is not use your service, send ugly emails, and call your 1800 number. I asked to file a complaint – but noone seemed to know how or wanted too. All I can do is tell others of my experience – which I plan to share with whoever will listen. Shipping is a “Service” not a product.
bad delivery, bad customer service
I had a package of bedding delivered from Target through UPS. This morning I notice on our outside deck that we don't use there was a large white bag. I asked my husband if he knew what it was and he said no, and went out to investigate. He picked it up and as it had rained last night, it was drenched with rain water. We called UPS and they basically called us liars, that their delivery person had said he delivered it to the front door. Obviously it was not, as the front door is under a covered roof. The worst part is that the delivery man threw it 2 stories up to get on the deck, no note on the front door or anything to let us know it had been delivered. The bedding is ruined, and it was a clearance item so it is not replaceable. The worst was the customer service of the company, who would not admit they had made a mistake and made no attempt to fix the situation.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Worst company ever should just go outta of business or fire the Whole Board cause they don't do anything but make things worse Package was to be del on 8/9/20 couldn't make it they guaranteed it by the 10th. checked my tracking number said it was loaded on the truck at 5:45am on 10th. Checked later showed out for del. Never showed up called C.S. they gave me some crap about only being loaded that evening told them I was guaranteed it by the 10th was told they don't guarantee anything...Guess what happened... I totally lose it on them. said they don't work on weekends told they BS cause I live near the service center and c cars and peeps going in and out all day and night. Then they tryed to sell me some BS about only truck drivers boy did they get a slap in the face told them I drove a truck for 25yrs they didn't know what to say transferred me to someone else...And u know what happened... next time postal service or Fedex cause they both del. on Sundays
UPS promised, and I paid for it to be delivered the next day. I tracked the shipment till it was ready for the last leg at 10:00 PM on Friday, but it was delayed till after the weekend. Their last e-mail to me stated: (Any package that arrives after 10:00 a.m. at the destination facility is unable to go out that same day, )!
I still keep copies of their e-mail!

I used to use UPS...but this is the last time. I have complained several times about packages being left at the road, which to the driver is the gate. Yes there is a gate there, but it is at the ROAD! I can't see it from my door. When I call, if I can get to talk to someone, they don't care. But I sure am going to start pushing any other delivery service!
double charges
I live in British Columbia Canada and ordered an item from California U.S.A., only some 13oo miles away. I paid shipping charges on the item ordered when it was shipped from the retailer, but when the item arrived i found that i was being charged almost the same amount AGAIN by UPS. Nor was i ever notified that there would be more charges when the item crossed the border.
I find this sort of double billing to border on the criminal. As a consequence i will never use UPS or any other shipper again.
wow i think ups is the worst thing ever for shipping yesterday i send 5 items i have around $100 in my paypal so they take the money instantly when i print the label 5 days afeter i was -$65.70 i say why i check shipping details and say
shipping charges 1 then shipping charges 2 the same money 2 times why
then i when to the ups and i was marking my boxes fragile please carefully and that guy toll me the ups recepcionist he toll me what are you doing he said if you mark the boxes or not we don't have preveligies for no one we send the boxes and trow the same and i was like wow ups is trash not recomended at all...
UPS is the worst for shipping cross boarder. Their brokerage fees are exorbitant and non-refundable or negotiable even if it was their mistake to add them (Item was a replacement and was marked as such, there should have been no tax coming across the boarder and therefore no brokerage fee) the USPS is what I have found to be the best for shipping from the States charging only $5 for crossing customs as opposed to $25++ charged by UPS who then because I live in a small city that they must deem rural they leave expensive packages on our door step if we're not home. My father who was away on business had an $11 000! insured item just dropped on his doorstep my mother had to get a neighbor to help her bring in the box and the item was so badly damaged that it had to be replaced.
Don't Use UPS
They don't have a clue regarding what customer service is. Besides, they lie. Just yesterday I was waiting for two boxes to arrive. One was delivered and the other was not. When I check their website the driver had stated that we where not home. First of all, I have not left my house in a week. Second, if I was not home, how did they deliver the one box. UPS is the worst carried in the world. Don't bother to complaint. I have and nobody cares care at that company. When you order, if possible request Fedex and don't give them your business. No wonder they call themselves brown and we all know what brown stands for. MAY UPS ROT IN HELL!
ups service stinks!
UPS service stinks - they supposedly tried to deliver a package to my home today, yet they did not even knock on the door but left a notice. I particularly stayed home today to get this package, and now I have to be inconvenienced to make a trip to the UPS office (which I don't even know where it is) to receive my package. And they do not deliver on Saturdays, which is another way of penalizing hard working people who work during the week... At least Fedex delivers on Saturdays.
Hey, that's right They're stinks. I got two packages, and I asked them you can put these outside so that I can put these inside my trunks. What he did? He looked at me with weird face. Then, he said, this is not heavy, you can deliver yourselves. They don't know anything about the service at all. If it's not heavy, then why does he need to use dolly to deliver? They are sucks ! I would never every use UPS again!
The truth about ups
I have seen a lot of complaints about UPS and I have no doubt in my mind that they are correct. I work for UPS. They are the most self-centered, dishonest and discriminatory company as far as I know. As with lot of companies, the phrase “who you know is who you blow” applies here too. Having the unpleasant experience of being in the “pool” for part-time management promotion, it seems that all the candidates that are hired are young, inexperienced and should we say... less intelligent. And these people are managing the real people who are handling your packages and making the money for the upper management who decides where it is wasted... upper management of course!
It is funny to see when they are pinching minutes from the occupational (i.e. hourly employees) in order to save money and shoveling it to the management. But hey, that’s free enterprise procedure.
After having the experience of several years at UPS, they have literally liquidated my loyalty. I use to be loyal to UPS and do my job to the best, but today work is still done to the best, but the loyalty is gone. And this is due to the discriminatory and dishonest way of dealing with people. I got screwed in the process and I’m sure there are more to count. If I may say something that UPS did right, was the color they chose. It is brown, and it reflects the color of ###. BIG ###.
The troubles at UPS are endless. Employee turnover is horrible and since they are treating the people as they are, word gets around and eventually you run out of employees. But that is something that they are not concerned. Also, UPS wants to be the “safety organization of the world” but anything that is unsafe is usually ignored and even if acknowledged, it takes forever to fix it. So when you say UPS, might as well say “ooops...” .
So for all the people out there, you are NOT stuck with UPS. Use FedEx, USPS (United States Postal Services) or DHL. I was actually shocked to find out that FedEx “ground” is CHEAPER than UPS after they bought out a low cost package carrier. FedEx is more reliable in my mind and I cannot remember having complaint about them. Postal services have more alternatives than ever before and you can always check DHL references on-line. I am personally applying a job at DHL just for the challenge. I know that I can contribute to them or any other company more than I can to UPS. Knowledge increases the pain they say, and now I know what they meant by that. So please be noted that I do not like UPS just for the reason that I do know the truth.
Peace, Upser.
Horrible. Never deliver Saturday packages when supposed to then say business was closed. Funny I live in a residence. Get phony [censored] bills from them for 15000 shipping [censored] from Vietnam to Vegas. A holes I live in florida. Then they totally smash a 900 apothecary unit I had shipped and the balls to send me a bill for the shipping extra charge. Hell no.
Worked for these @$%^s for three days.
Day 1: Watch 2 hours of safety stuff. Lifting, whmis, and some other corporate fluff. Then an open book test where there are no wrong answers. Then I had to help these twits pick up a rental van. That took a few hours. Then more corporate BS. Met the loser plant manager. What a terd. I'm given a photo copied instruction manual for the DIAD. Zero training on the thing. Just HERE. Study this off hours without pay.
Day 2: Job Shadow some guy. He was nice etc. Had no beef with him. We finished our route at 3:30. Only to see a message on the DIAD, "We have more for you to do. ACCEPT / DECLINE. Had to meet another guy, and take another 50 drops off him.
Day 3: Loser plant manager assigns me a route. He goes on to say, "This is the worst day of your life. Don't email me, don't call me. I'm not available."
My phone died mid shift. I had all the damn addresses in the route mapper which built me a route. Had to navigate dark, and under extreme stress. Hated it. My DIAD locked up for 25 minutes. Wondering if they did it to me just to screw with me. I could not get this stupid thing to unlock. it froze. Nothing in the book mentioned how to get out of that.
They don't care about your safety one bit. NOPE! Get this done as fast as possible, and be sure screw up your body so Jimmy gets his stupid Iphone case.
Took me 3 months to get paid for that. I had to keep chasing HR, and the other plant manager. They ignored me for months and I emailed day after day after day until they finally gave in. Threatened legal action too. Never ever work for this company, or ship with them.
This is a 1950's industrial slave pit where you are not important. They give two $#!&s about their employees.
I’m a 66 year old man who has been legally disabled since 1990.
I’ve discovered UPS (United Parcel Service) is willing to collect money (shipping charges) yet haphazardly abandons responsibility when delivering packages to residential properties on a gravel road at speeds in excess of two times the posted limit. As a result, the road must be repaired often and ultimately repaved.
I asked the UPS driver(s) on multiple occasions to slow down on camera. I explained the children, horses and dogs residing on the properties. I explained the wild rabbits, javelina and deer that frequent the road, yet the UPS driver(s) ignored my requests. I telephoned the UPS local office and call center registering a complaint numerous times… to no avail.
Since a UPS driver has already struck and killed a deer, I am calling for all businesses and residents to take notice on behalf of the children, horses, dogs, rabbits, javelina and deer. The UPS corporate office has exuded prejudice and discrimination; continuing to condone the UPS driver(s) immoral actions and lies. A class action lawsuit is in order to establish resolution of abuse.
.
I too am a Victim of UPS changed delivery options. They used to leave a Slip to let you know they were there and after a 2nd attempt they would take it back to their distribution center. Now they just leave it at the Door and claim the Seller requested them to leave it there. Now I have had many packages stolen by them leaving it at the door even though I have specifically requested them NOT to do so as I live in an area thats not very safe. I try my best today to leave a message to ANY online Seller to use ONLY USPS as they will delivery my package securely in my mailbox or leave a slip for me to come and pick up! Do NOT use UPS unless you are home. They (UPS) are derelict in their delivery duties and try passing the buck off to the Seller. SHAME on UPS!
Ups really does suck.
I had a package with a tracking number, due to be delivered march 15th, 2018. never got it! so, I called the ups store in brooksville, fl, where my package was being held, on the 16th. it was supposedly not delivered "due to an event in my area". hmmm, really? what event? there is nothing happening in my area! that's weird a fed-ex truck delivered a package to my house on the 12th. well, come to find out they had a part-time driver, who I was told was "probably worried about driving on a dirt road because he feared getting stuck", so he just didn't even try to deliver it. now yes I live on a dirt road, but its not a bad dirt road and cars drive on it daily, and I have never had an issue with a ups, fed-ex, or anyone else driving on it before. it's literally two blocks of dirt road.
Anyways, he returned my package to the ups customer center in brooksville, fl. so, when I called on the 16th I was told they would file the request and have the package sent out to me the next business day, which was mon. the 19th. guess what... monday the 19th comes, tuesday 20th comes, and no package! I call back and asked, "can you tell me when my package will be delivered?". they preceded to tell me the request was never made and that my package was still sitting there. "okay, well the make the damn request and have it sent to me please!" they then tell me, that it will be sent out the next day, wednesday the 21st, and I would get it then. well, they lied... wednesday comes, no package. call back on wednesday, and I was told "sorry mam, the request was made, but it was never sent, it's still sitting here." wow, just wow! i'm fuming by this point. how difficult is it to pick up a package, a small one no more that 5-10 lbs, and put the damn thing on a delivery truck. i'm mean i'm no genius, but it doesn't sound like rocket science. so, I called back and asked, "where the hell is my damn package". of course, I just got another, "i'm sorry mam, it's still here. let me put in for a request to have it delivered." at this point in time, if I could've reached through the damn phone I would've smacked the [censor] out of this woman. I said, "no, I do not want another damn request. I want to talk to the damn supervisor!"
The supervisor seemed sympathetic and immediately put me on hold to call and talk to the brooksville, fl customer service office to find out where my package was and why it was not being sent. I thought, "finally, I will get my package!" he came back on the line and told me that they still had not put the package out for re-delivery, and assured me that he had made the inquiry and it would be delivered on thurs the 23rd. I thanked him and hung up with confidence that my package would be on it way, at last! one hour later, I received a phone call from the lady at brooksville, fl ups customer center (the same [censor] i've been dealing with) and she told me she received a call from a supervisor and that she "would personally walk your package to the guy in charge of loading the delivery trucks and I will not leave until I see him load your package on a truck for delivery" immediately. I gave her the benefit of doubt and thanked her, and thought, "about damn time!"
Bahahaha! ya, that was false hope! thurs the 23rd package never came... big surprise! although, another package I ordered last week came. amazingly, it was brought right to my door, by non other than ups! guess this guy had the balls to drive on a little dirt! so, I called the [censor] in brooksville again, "where is my damn package?" thought I was pissed before? here it is 8 days after my first initial delivery date, and I still have no package. well, this time they proceed to tell me that my package is "currently in atlanta, georgia"... ummm, no its not! wtf! "why is my package, that is supposed to be on my door step right now, in [censor]ing atlanta, georgia?"
Truthfully, are people this stupid? I live like 45 mins from brooksville, I should have just driven to brooksville and picked the damn thing up. since these [censor]es cannot do their jobs. why pay for shipping, if they cannot ship it to your [censor]ing door. I mean come on! needless to say, I was told that it was an error and it was "out of their control". of course, I asked them since they [censor]ed up are they going to pay to re-ship my package back to me? the supervisor (one I had never spoken to before) told me that they "may pay for it", they would have to look into the case. so basically, these [censor]ing [censor] are going to claim that my area was "inaccessible for delivery" and probably more than likely not pay for the re-shipping of the packaged item I ordered on e-bay. it's not the sellers fault and it sure as hell isn't my fault, and neither one of us should have to pay for this. the fact that I received multiple packages from both ups and fed-ex all week long proves that my area is in fact accessible.
Ups sucks big time! i'm done shipping with them. stick with fed-ex, they're more reliable!
And to brooksville, fl ups customer center... you my friends are a bunch of [censor]ing [censor]es! thanks for absolutely nothing!
I have worked for ups for about 2 months now and have yet to see a damn paycheck. I have been given the run around nonstop. i’ve called corporate and they are no help. it’s killing my relationship because we are living paycheck to paycheck and he’s only one paying. he doesn’t believe i’m working even though I showed him my paperwork. he’s on his last nerve and is ready to break up with me. its not fair and i’m about to contact bbb about it. i’ve emailed tons of people on the ups board and haven’t heard a thing. ups is the worst company to work for. they are horrible.
Wow WTF is RIGHT! I know there are good hard working employees like yourself working for UPS. After all, the drivers and loaders are the face of UPS and unfortunately, the scapegoats for the clearly obvious shortcomings of upper- management. In my case the driver tried to hand me an empty bag that was supposed to be 200.00 worth of computer parts for my at home business. THIS was done by either driver himself or his loaders since my package was "delayed" for a storm that never occured. Funny they delivered my fiancee's package on the 19th from Amazon, but two days later, with my package sitting on a UPS truck, arrived STOLEN! NOT MISSING, blatantly stolen! tOP OF aMAZON BAG RIPPED OFF AND EVERYTHING! My complaint doesn't involve the GOOD ppl like yourself and both the hard worker and the scumbag thieves know who they are and one day, it's not going to turn out well for them. Hope everything was worked out. Id be damned If I would work a day past three weeks without a check. AND I'd still have a job...PROMISE! They dont rule us, we rule THEM!
I am livid. I was also told that delivery was attempted yesterday (friday). well, I was working from home all day friday and the window by my desk faces the street. my doorbell never rang and I never saw the brown truck. I did receive a doortag during the week that reported that my package was in the locker. I went to the locker today and the tracking number was not recognized. I got an excuse from the customer service person about why the package wasn't there. then he said it would be delivered monday. well, I will not be home monday so I asked for wednesday. then he told me that if I wanted a wednesday delivery I would charged a fee. wtf? they lie about the delivery attempt, they lie on their doortag about the package being in the locker, they cause me an unneeded trip to pick up a package that is not there, then they have the nerve to charge me a fee? ups is a terrible delivery service and this is not the only issue I have had with them. if amazon does not either make them improve their service or fire them, I am going to cancel my prime membership. shopping in a store is easier than this, by far.
I have found that ups customer service to be the most dishonest group of people that I have ever run across. it will be the last service that I will ever recommend or use in the future. I will not purchase anything that is shipped by ups and I recommend that any private person use another service.
I am 75 years old, I am a veteran, I owned and operated a business for over 40 years and I can say honestly that ups is the most dishonest company that I have ever run across. they make appointments that they do not intend to keep. they inspect packages by phone in which case they can disallow the claim because they have no intention on paying any claim. received a package that had been hit by a forklift and the product was destroyed. they took the claim gave it a false number that could not be traced. then made a demand to inspect the package and then did not turn up for the inspection. did not return phone calls... etc... still have the package which is a item paid for and they wanted to pays the person who sent it.
A guy 6 house away brought me my package that ups dropped off in his yard, actually threw it over his fence according to the guy that lives there, luckily he honest took time from his day to bring it to me ofcourse everything was broken inside the box, then ups sends me an email claiming it was dropped off on my porch, the driver most b a liar, lazy no good liar, if u screwed up like that where I work id be fired, ups was once a great company but now they suck, I quit buying online if the company ships ups, and I hv told them so if enough ppl complain the to stores that use ups maybe they will use someone good that acutally delivers to your house not 6 house away!
Don't mean to be spamming here but I wanted to share the link to my claim against the company. I believe those who have been wronged meet the qualifications for a class action suit. after all, there are plenty of use who are not happy with how ups treats their customers/clients.

I hate ups - the worst shipping company!
I ordered something online and they'd used ups to send me the package. I paid 2nd day air so that I can get the package on time and paid higher than the ground shipping of course. The online store sent me the tracking number so I check it ups.com to make sure that the package is on time. Ups supposedly deliver it friday (it was out for deliver dec. 22 at 3:39am). I waited and waited until about 10pm because I called their customer service and said that they will deliver it even late night but no package in my front porch. We will be out of town the next day, saturday still no package in my front porch. I called customer service early morning saturday and says they will deliver it early morning and now it's 3:30pm saturday, still no package showing in my front porch. We canceled our trip because of this... Ups deliver personnel knock only once and they don't wait for someone to answer the door or not, so it end up leaving the package in the front porch (the package will lost because they don't' really care). I hate ups, they are the worst shipping company!
UPS is the worst shipping company that it should no longer be in the business. I ordered two carts at the same time one from Target and one from Amazon. Both did not arrive.
UPS lost my package. It was a cart from Target. It was supposed to be delivered on Feb 16, 2024 but it's now Feb 24, 2024 and I still don't have it. Target told me that the package went back to UPS and immediately gave me a full refund. I ordered a different cart and told Target to tell the seller that he/she should not UPS but USPS or FedEx instead. I really hate UPS! I am so frustrated and angry!
I hate hate hate UPS! It's the worst delivery carrier ever on this planet! I ordered a shopping cart and was first scheduled to be delivered on Feb 16, 2024. It did not arrive and so on the 5th day, I contact UPS and they assured me it will arrive in a few days without a definite date. It did not happen. Then they gave a different tracking number and told me to wait for a couple of days because the package went back to UPS. I contact them again and they "assured" me that I will receive it but they will have to ship the package to a UPS store or an ordinary store. I have experienced this in the past many times and the stores are even far from my house. Since I don't have a car, I have to take UBER or Lyft to go there and I have to spend for it. It is now Feb 24 and I did not get my package. UPS is the only carrier that delivers packages not to homes but to stores! This makes me so angry! So I ordered a different cart from a different seller but I instructed Amazon to emphasize to the seller NOT to use UPS but USPS or FedEx instead. UPS if you are reading this: may you lose your business!
I assume it's a function of the driver for your neighborhood. Ours is awful. The delivery window, often long as in 2-6 is often not met. One time the guy just didn't deliver until the next day. When he does show, grumpy is the word. He'll drop heavy deliveries on the front porch and not ring the door bell even if a note is on the door. For some reason Home Depot had 500# of grout delivered via UPS. Very bad idea. I unsubscribed from nakedwines.com as getting wine delivered was a trial. Delivery is in stark contrast to the UPS store, which is great.
Bought a used DJ table off this guy, and he shipped it UPS. It's a $400 item, so he paid to have a signature required for it to be delivered, so it wouldn't sit on my porch and potentially get stolen. The UPS guy didn't knock, signed for me, and just left it at my door.
Today, I received some daily essentials via UPS, and I found out it was delivered when the driver scared the crap out of me by just throwing it at my door.
I. Can. Not. Stand. UPS.
UPS is trash. It's probably been 20 years since I cursed at a customer service representative, however, this person was so utterly useless and heartless about telling me so.. Like a robot.. This companies policies borderline on theft. Because I can't sit home from work all day they returned the paperwork I paid 20 dollars to send back to the sender, potentially screwing me out of getting health insurance for my child this year. Had I known by magic that they wouldn't hold the package for pickup I could have rerouted it for 8 dollars more. Kicking myself because my other option was USPS who would've actually delivered to my mailbox instead of stealing my cash, inconveniencing me, and being rude to me about it when I called for information.
UPS delivery service is the worst
Yes UPS is the worst service. And yes , they knock once, that’s it. Goodness. Like I have to get to the door. And DRIVERS please knock LOUD.
I paid extra money for 2 day shipping, but because of UPS horrible service. I now have to wait until zMonday. UPS does not care to improve either. They said it was the second attempt when indeed it was only the first attempt. Because they screwed up! You can see by the tracking it was only the first attempt. They are absolutely the worst delivery service!
Thanks for being so lazy, all you had to do is step out of the truck and push a button, gate would have opened. Our future work force!
I came here to share my own UPS letdown story.
Yesterday, a delivery came but I was on a business zoom and couldn’t pause. I could see the driver peeking in at me through my window, and I yelled out to him a few times “I’m on a work call, I’ll be right there!”
He left, my package with him. Sigh. It’s “only” this super time sensitive sample set that I’ve been waiting for. Haha. It couldn’t just be some dumb Amazon thing.
Anyway… the UPS email tells me it’s going to an access point about a mile away but it’s not there yet. Now it’s the next day, around noon and zero updates. I figured, hey let me call these access point folks. What a waste of time. The guy was rude as hell, then stuck me on hold for 10 minutes but he forgot to hit the hold button so I listened to some guy speaking another language the whole time. Note: I have nothing against non-English speakers but this was so weird. It was almost like I was eavesdropping on a private convo with someone chatting about their day.
I decided to drive down to there to catch them before they closed (at 1:30 pm…). I get there, and same rude guy, nope no package. Upon leaving, I happened to catch the same UPS driver and truck from yesterday. Nice guy but nope. He doesn’t have it. He says it’s inside the access point. I explained it wasn’t. Then he said, oh it must be on another truck to be delivered to you.
I race back home, where I had been all day. No sooner did I get home that I got an email stating my package was at the access point. And what do you know, they’re closed now until Monday morning.
W.T.F. How does this company stay in business? This pretty much exact scenario happened to me last year when I ordered a laptop.
Yes UPS has lost numerous packages. My adress is somewhat difficult but, ONLY UPS has an issue delivering my packages. FEDEX and USPS has NEVER lost or failed to drop off my package at the correct location.
ups customer service is awful!
I placed an order online and it was shipped by UPS. The UPS tracking said that it was put on MY porch but it was not put on MY porch.
When I called UPS to report this they acted as if it was my problem. They wanted asked me if I had checked with my family, friends and neighbors. I told them if my family or friends were around and knew anything about the package they would have told me and I am not going to go door to door to check with my neighbors. They then said I would have to fill out paper work in order for UPS to proceed with this situation. Who is paying me for my time? So now I am on hold waiting for the company I ordered from to get back to me. I have been waiting for 4 days and haven't heard from them. I guess that Christmas gift went to someone that didn't pay for it.
Bottom line UPS customer service is awful!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I believe drivers sometime scan the package as delivered to clear their load so they can go back to the shop at the end of the day if they are running late. the same exact thing has happened to me twice this year. and what is very frustrating is trying to get to a live person at ups. This year I have taken a decision to not use ups or order anything from companies who will not ship by other carriers. usps has been good as well as dhl and fedex. vendors will ship it your way if you insist and tell them you will buy from someone else. We need to take consumer power back.
mantel clock was completely destroyed
My complaint is that the manager of the store tells me that I can not get the $40.00 refunded for shipping of an item that he shipped to me, and also packed there at the store. The item was an antique mantel clock that obviously was fragile as it had glass on the front of it. When it arrived to my home, the box was torn and delivered upside down. The mantel clock was completely destroyed and in my opinion not packed well. The manager sent me an email when I asked him for the shipping cost back also. He refunded only the amount that I paid for the clock, which I purchased from an auction. He gave me an excuse about not refunding the shipping which I find odd. I believe I should be refunded the shipping also. Otherwise, I paid them $40. for destroying an antique clock! They were the ones that packed it and shipped it. This is the email the manager of the store sent me:
Hello Linda Byrnes,
Thanks for the return email. The money that you paid for our services is what insured that UPS was willing to pay for the damaged clock. Our services met the insurance requirements so that UPS knew that our packaging service was not the cause of the damage to the clock but rather how the package was handled in transit. I regret that UPS will not refund the charges for our services. We did our charge correctly again insuring that you would be reinbursed for the damage to the clock. I regret that I am unable then to return the fee for our services as without them you would not have been able to receive anything from UPS.

I tried to resolve this by emailing the corporate UPS site, and gave them all the information such as tracking numbers, etc. but they emailed back and said I needed to resolve the problem with the UPS store that shipped the item. So you see, I am at a loss as to whom is suppose to take care of the problem and neither the store, nor the corporate office seem to be any help. I ship items daily as I sell on ebay and they need to know that if I don’t get a refund for the shipping fee, that I will not use UPS again. I ship at least 20 items a week and will never use UPS again unless they resolve this problem. I believe they will lose a lot more than $40.00 if I use FexEx , USPS, or another shipping company. I will also discourage friends, family and customers from using UPS unless they resolve this matter so I believe in the long run they will lose a lot more than just my business.
Thank you,
Linda
Oh I definitely agree with this one. Just because you pay for insurance, that doesn't mean that UPS will not leave your package without getting the required signature, nor does it mean that they will not deliver it all beaten up, with whatever is inside all broken up as well. What it does mean is that you will spend the next two months, trying to jump through hoops to get them to pay for items you insured. They have continually stalled time and time again, even pointing fingers at some mysterious third party shipper who just happens to have no phone number or any other point of contact. Then to pour salt in the wound, they are just plain rude. How dare we bother them to do their job! Good grief, needless to say, I will carry it there myself before I use UPS again.
the worst delivery service!
United parcel service is the very worst delivery service out there!. Twice they've lost my items, do they call me, and let me know, no. They must think the world revolves around them. I've lost business because of their very late deliveries. I ordered a package from n. Y., and was delivered by dhl in 2 days. If I were to use ups, it would take 5-6 days to get here, and I wouldn't see it until around 6 pm. The funny thing is, they're union, and still they're half-#!
Basically, if I had to choose between, the post office, and ups, i'd go with the post. Not only that, the post is faster than ups, and more respectful.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I will never use them again!
I am going through this right now, it has been 3 weeks. and the package has dissapeared. Still in the tracking stage for the next 8 business day. Very upset, my customer is also. Makes me look stupid!
UPS is awful they can not tell you anything. No one in this company has a clue as to where a package is at any given time. I have been told my package was on a train, then it was locked in a container, then it was on a truck that broke down and a tow truck had to retrieve it. I am not sure of where my package was but at this time it is supposed to be delivered today or it is at the customer pick up. Which is it? Why can we put people on the moon but we can't track a package? I am so frustrated with this company. Why can I not get a simple answer to my question...WHERE IS MY PACKAGE? I have called 10 times in the past 24 hours and I still have no idea where my stuff is. Oah and I also went through the b.s. of having my package at will-call and I sat in their office from 8pm to 10:45pm where the gentleman told me he would change everything and have my package delivered on Saturday. REALLY? Nope just kidding they still have no clue. I will never use them again
23/07/2009 UPS are the worst shipping company I have ever come across. I paiud £65 to have a DVD Duplicator delivered values at £1150. They smashed it up dispite it being packed carefully with lots of fragile stickers. They refused to meet my claim and said it wasn't pcked correctly. I was able to prove it was with before and after photographs. They admitted liabilty but then only paid oput 10% of the proven value, so now I have to take them to Small Claims Court.
What a dreadful company, please customers do not use them, nobody could be worse or more dishonest in its dealing with customers.

On Monday I ordered a package for a company for over night delivery to my home. On Tuesday by 430 pm the package had not arrived yet. Even through it showed on the tracking number it was out for delivery. SO I called UPS and asked them if they could please have there by 530 pm and they told me they would call the local office and see what could be done but they had till end of business day which is 730pm. When I made this call it was about 435pm and was told local office would call me back. At 730pm still had not heard from the local office nor had my package arrived. So I called the UPS 800 number and spoke with a supervisor who then conferenced me in with the local office. Well the local said we are sorry we know you paid for overnight but we doubt that you will get your package tonight as one of our loading boys is new and put your package on the wrong truck. I told them you know this could have been easily fixed had you taken the time at around 430pm to call me. Per the 800 number even through I was told she was going to give the local a message to call me it seems there was no record of this being done. I told then in no uncertain terms they would deliver tonight. Well the package did finally arrive around 830pm. The Driver did not ring the bell and from my room which is close to front door it sounded like he just threw the package on the ground and left. I cannot verify that he did throw the package but the way I knew the package had arrived was the sound of it hitting the pavement.
The sad part about this is the company the size of UPS just seems like they want your shipping money and once they have it they could care less about anything else. When a package arrives late and you call the 800 number depending on who you talk to the close of business day just gets latter and latter. I have had take packages that arrive in Phoenix AZ and put it on a Phoenix truck ride around Phoenix all day because someone miss stocked the truck with my package in error. The Package would have been 1 day early had this not happened. When I pointed this out to the UPS customer service rep I was asked what are you complaining about it still on time. And this last situation has happened to not once but twice now. You ask for a phone number to call Corp headquarters and are told there is not phone number. Please a co as big as UPS with not phone in corp headquarters.
I ordered medication for my dog who has cancer and it was supposed to be delivered on Monday, January 29th. It was shipped on Friday, January 26th by ground.
I called in the morning to find out what time I can expect the medication since I had to attend a funeral and didn’t want to miss the delivery. I spoke to Customer Service and she said either 10:30A or 7:00P. I asked if she could speak to the driver so I would know for sure. She was kind enough to return my call and said the earliest would be tonight @ 6:00P. I had no more pills left and was counting on the morning delivery.
I called UPS to check on the delivery as I hadn’t received it at 7:46P. Customer Service told me they didn’t have an apt. number and couldn’t deliver it. I hit the roof! I asked why no one contacted me as they had my telephone number or better still, why didn’t he come to the address, get out of his truck, & check the mailbox to find my apt. #? We usually have the same driver and he's familiar with the complex. How hard is that? She was no help and I asked to speak to a Supervisor. Again, no help. She kept repeating herself that there was no apt. # and we went around in circles as I kept asking why the heck he didn’t attempt to come out here, get out of his truck, and check the mailbox? I then asked for her Supervisor and was put on hold for approximately 8 minutes. I spoke with the Supervisor's Supervisor who was at least helpful. She contacted the Customer Service Dept. and spoke with a lady to try to track down the package. I told her how important it was that my dog get this medication. The lady was able to find my package but said they can deliver it the next day by 11:00. I asked if I could pick it up as it’s important he gets the medication. She said the Center was closed and she was in another part of the building. I asked her if I could pick it up where she’s located. She refused. It’s stressful enough having a dog that has cancer and to deal with UPS was a nightmare.
I wrote to their Corporate Headquarters saying they better figure out a way to instruct their drivers to use some common sense and use their cell phone to call if they don’t have an apt. number or get their ### out of their truck at the address it was supposed to be delivered and check the mailbox. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. My telephone number was on the label as well as in their system.
Granted, the shipper forgot to include my apt. # and apologized, but UPS should have figured out my apt. # by looking on the mailbox or called.
I AM OUTRAGED THAT THE MEDICATION WASN’T DELIVERED WHEN IT WAS SCHEDULED. THERE SHOULD BE SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES IF UPS SCREWS UP TO ACCOMMODATE THE CONSUMER IN THIS TYPE OF A SITUATION.
I drove to UPS the next day and picked up the medication myself. As it turned out, a customer was speaking with the Supervisor with his complaint.
Let's see if they can figure out where to mail their response.:)
UPS lost my package, it arrived in Perth Australia, but they completely denied it ever got here and are covering it up. They are filthy liars and should not be trusted with anything important.
I am very disappointed with UPS. I have wasted 2 weeks without my product. I have made no less than 10 phone calls, and I have lost $100 of product and time and effort since then.
From now on, I will avoid using UPS to send my product. And I will relate my story to anyone or website that will listen. I guess I'm not the only one this happens too.
Apparently your trace process is broken. I hope this email reaches the right people who can fix it. This is no way to run a business. You are wasting your time and money, as well as mine. If your competition is more competent, they will benefit.
I recently sent you a thank you about one of your employees Catryn [protected]. I should have waited until she actually did something, before I thanked her.
She called me last Thurs Dec 7, 2006. She said a UPS driver would be there that afternoon. No show. I called back late Friday after another no show. Her assistant told me to wait til Monday, to be sure. Monday, no show. On Tues, Dec 12, 2006, someone called me from UPS (didn't write down the name) and said they would send a driver. No show. I called on Wednesday late. Catryn's assistant, Karen, told she
had just sent a request to the driver to bring something for me to sign saying that I didn't receive the package. No show. I called Thur. Catryn wasn't there. Karen took a message and told me that Katryn would call me back that day. She didn't. So, finally, I called on Thur (today). Catryn wasn't there again. I spoke with Karen who said she would call me back in an hour. She didnt. So, just before writing this email, I called again. Again, Catryn wasn't there. I asked Karen for an email address for Catryn, and an email address for her supervisor. She didnt give me any info but said that my note was on top of Catryn's desk. I give up.
All this, is after 5 calls to the UPS call center where I wasn't given any information and was treated rudely. I did send a complaint to this email, just search the TrackingNumber.
In addition, I lost a supplier, because I called them too many times, inquiring about my lost shipment.
I understand UPS is a big company. But, I shouldn't have to go thru this.
My recommendations are as follows:
When someone loses a package and contacts UPS, the first thing you do, is explain the procedure. Explain the steps involved. That it will take 2 weeks to close the trace. That the shipper doesn't know anything. That UPS will refund the shipper not the receiver. And that the shipper decides whether to refund the receiver or replace the product. All this information is critical, so the receiver can decide whether to reorder, or wait.
None of this has been done in my case. I learned all these things by calling over and over, getting one piece of information from each phone call.
I don't get paid to write these emails, or make those phone calls. I have lost time and money just to recover $100 worth of product.
Someone needs to fix this process, and it's not Catryn or Karen, who play phone tag. A simple web page would do wonders. And telling your call center employees to point us to this webpage would be a stroke of genius. A way for us to type in our tracking number, and see the progress of the trace investigation. I'm sure that info is readily available.
So, I'm not just complaining. You implement changes like these, and you will save money in wasted phone calls. And you might reduce the number of upset customers, and that would help business. Afterall, you are a business. This is in your own best interest.

I'm going through something similar this very moment. Package supposed to be here last Friday, no note ever left on door, but they are telling me he was here and knocked and left notice. At least they still have the package. i just needed it by now though is the only problem. Getting the run around from CS, one lady put me on hold, and the music was playing and then there was a series of clicks and the line went dead.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, I called the company where I order from to check the status on the order. I was informed that it was sent out and I should have gotten it by now. I called UPS in Saddle Brook, NJ and a female said it was delivered already that Monday, April 6th 2009 to MY NAME at approximately 12-12:30pm. I told her no, I didn’t get my package. Then I asked who signed for it, she said MY NAME. I told her, no, I was not home.” Then she said it was given to a female. I asked her once again, "What name did they sign?” The young lady hesitated and said, “That delivery didn’t need a signature.” I told her I need that package. I was told to check with the upstairs neighbor and next door. I did and no one had the package. I called back the next day to inform her no one was home when the package arrived and no one has it. I asked to speak to the manager who was Doreen. I expressed how I needed the package by Friday. She informed that the driver would come back (Wednesday, April 8) and point the person out who he gave it to. I agreed so I cancelled all my plans to wait for the driver Victor to come back. Come to find out, he was off until Monday and so was the Manager Doreen. That’s when I lost my patience. I ask to speak with her boss which I was told his name is Toni Gerbesir but he was in house but not there. I continued to call; I was told he was in a meeting. No one would return my calls. Between myself and my sister (who helped pay for order) continued to call. We where put on hold, when we would spoke, we were cut off, spoken to very rudely. Just to shut us up, another driver was offered to be sent out. How can that be? He didn’t know whom the driver gave the package to. That Monday I called Doreen back and informed her, how upset and angry I was. She said she would send the driver back that day. (Which was Monday, April 13, 2009.) I told her no, I don’t need it now because the event is over. The girls at our church were dancing that Friday past and the skirts I ordered were in the package. I want my money back. Doreen said, “Well we still need to find out what happened to the package. I will send the driver back.” The driver came, rang my doorbell. I looked out the door, not even 10sec; he was back in his truck. I had to yell for him to wait. The driver said, he rang the doorbell and a female yelled out the top window that she’ll be right down. So he left the package on the to step and placed garbage can in front of it. I explained to him that the garbage can not fit on the top step. Then he said He thinks it was another can and pointed at the garbage next door. I told him its garbage day and that can is never there. When I tried to speak he kept cutting me off. I told him well let me see if she’s upstairs and you can ask. He said no, he doesn’t do that. He had me sign a paper to say I didn’t receive my package and left. I called UPS back and explained to them he didn’t give the package to anyone. I told her I want my money back. Then she said I have to contact the company where I ordered the package from, and how I have to file a police report and report it stolen. By this time I was very angry. I told them no! The driver screwed up, you guys need to fix it. I was not going to say something was stolen and it was not. I asked for a higher person. I was told he was unavailable. Between myself and my sister calling to speak with someone in charge, we never got a call back. We were told that someone was going to call us back in 30min. I got that call the next day in the afternoon from the security department. I returned the call and of course no call back. The next day, Tuesday, the UPS driver Victor, came to my door telling me to stop calling and how we’re making ourselves look guilty. How we became suspicious because we no longer want our package. I told him, he looks suspicious because the upstairs doorbell doesn’t work and the person wasn’t home. Then he said he thinks someone yelled from the side or the back of the house. That told me right there, he messed up. He stood at my door for 10min. arguing with me. The company from down the street came down and told him that they are waiting for their packages. That’s when he left. I called UPS and Spoke to a gentleman that went by the name Jr. He was the ONLY one who apologized, who listened, who spoke to me with respect. I don’t know if he was sincere or not but he convents me. The last time I had an order that was delivered thru UPS, 3 years ago, I had a similar problem. That’s why I was trying other ways around it. The one thing I didn’t understand was that we were told, “From now on, anything with our address is going to require a signature.” So only if it’s a problem is when UPS does the right thing?
We have been fighting UPS to refund our shipper (suppiler) in china for the package that
UPS had lost.. it is now 15 days, and we still yet to see a dime...
Our supplier in china speaks poor english, and UPS CANADA continues to tell us that the shipper in
chian must contact them, so they have many times, but UPS CANADA does not reply to our
CHINESE CLIENT...
They are very rude on the phone, and the only thing we are trying to do is refund our CLIENTS
money. THEY STILL HAVE YET TO REFUND IT...
And we continue to get emails from UPS, telling us that only the shipper can request certain information.
If anyone plans on shipping via UPS CANADA, , , please do not...
Its is a wasted amount of time.. and headaches.
WE continue o get no where with UPS.
