Water bill
We are paying for well water you can't even drink there way over priced it should be illegal having to pay for well water there quick to charge you and they send the shut off notice late got charged for 18.000 gallons of water which is no way possible if there was a leak i would have a swimming pool in my yard
Desired outcome: Shouldn't have to pay outrageous fees for well water
Water meter and billing
I have been overcharge for sewage sinces I started using your company. N you then take my meter during the covid 19 n still overcharging me on my bills. There is no way I should owe you 1678.99$ n you charge me 480.00 for a return payment twice that wasn't my doing I am really stress out bye this. You should right everything out on your end gave me a meter n turn water back on free n remove the return payment charges n due away with all the late fees that accurred cause of them n figure out why my sewage part bill is always between 40 to 60$ I know that shouldn't be that high
metering water
Universal utilities are so inconsistent with their billing that it's not funny my sister-in-law lives in the same park she has a different charge than I do and she has more charges has service charge a maintenance charge administrative charge she pays more charges than she does are actually water and sewage bill then my sewage bill is higher than my water bill makes no sense just put the meter in my water line not the parks water line

Scam, stolen money
I moved into new house and paid to the company Universal Utilities in order to get water. I paid them three payments in amount of $70. When I transferred the last one, I got the email, which stated that I need to pay more or they would kick me out from home. I provided the last payment, but they still argued with me and asked for more money. I wonder if there are people, who had the same thing. Maybe you can advise me how to stop these people. Please post your ideas and comments. Thanks.
Horrible service. You will get charged extra just because they want to. When you call NO ONE WILL ANSWER. Customer service is beyond horrendous. Please seek business elsewhere.
I live in home park in Wisconsin. Our owners have this company / third party install their meters. We have WELL WATER
I am refusing now for 2 half years them go under my house cut into MY water line (which I own, ). Told them I'd sue them for destroy of personal property.
With that, the park is refusing to renew my lease and trying to have me move my home out. Mine you I and disabled, in my 60s.
I will fight ,fight, both the park and water company.
Also they send surcharges each month that are $30.00 per month of not even having a meter.
What a way to destroy someone's well being.
How does one go about reporting them to someone that can actually DO something? Sick of being pushed around by a company based over 400 miles away while my local company charges 1/3 of what they do. 300 dollar bills a montn when i live right next to the LARGEST FRESHWATER LAKE IN AMERICA?
Universal Utilities replaced my meter in the summer of 2015...I live in a modular home. One day I had to crawl under the home for another reason and found the meter they replaced was leaking all over. I called the park I live in and they had one of the Universal associates replace the meter around Sept 2015. In January 2016 when we had the below 0 temps, I came home to no water, I thought my pipes had frozen, I called a certified plummer, and he told me the Universal associate did not plug in the riser heating pipe and the Universal meter that he showed me split spraying water all over. I called the park again they called Universal and they came out 4 days later (the plummer put on a dummy meter so I could have water). The Universal Associate replaced the meter, and in doing so destroyed my access door. I had to build a new door. While building the new door I noticed the new meter again was leaking...so I once again called the park, this time one of the park maintenance supervisors came out while the leak was fixed by Universal...now Universal wants me to pay for the meter even going as far as insinuating I had stripped out the meter that froze because of their non repair...I will not pay for their meter thats like paying for a consumers power meter if it breaks...Is there any action that can stop this kind of fraud by this company?
Thank you for all your comments. With similar issues, like this last bill...being single and using 3000 gallons and having no water for days at a time either by cold weather or repairs or why a non-refundable fee is charged(I have great credit and received a "shut off" notice when I couldn't get an answer or pay it.) and calling to continuously receive a response "all customer service reps are busy, call later...then the phone hangs up." Well, enough. I am gathering all information and sending to the state Attorney General. Remember, they are there for the people. Not only did I warn the park, but they also said something to Universal. That shut off notice disappeared. I do not mind paying my share, as long as it is accurate and I will NEVER be responsible for equipment I do not own. I do not have a contract with Universal. I am just the end user.
Is this the universal utilities of flint Michigan? If so I'm dealing with the same exact issue.I live in a Mobile home park I'm forced to use this place as my water company.when we first moved in we were told to not mess with the meter box. Back in early December when it was cold out our pipes froze. My fiancee went to check the meter box witch we had winterized, and it had icicles on it. We called universal utilities and they said that it's our responsibility to take care of their meter box. we asked if they could come replace it just in case it had issues. They told us they could but it would be around $300 up front.we didn't have a visible leak except the icicles and didn't have that type of money at that time, so we figured if there was a problem we'd definitely notice when it gets a bit warmer out. It was unthawed the next day, and didn't seem to be leaking. We didn't have any problems with our water at all inside.it ran fine. Today(about 2 months after that call and our bills being a normal $30.00 to 60.00) I got the mail and I have a bill for $1024.06 I called universal utilities thinking it was a mistake, the lady told me that my meter read that I used 79, 000 gallons of water I explained to her that's impossible because I don't have any leaks in my house and my waters been running fine. She told me to go check my meter. I hung up, went outside to the back of my house. And my meter box was gushing out water everywhere. I called them back to report this and they didn't answer so I left a message begging them to come help me turn it off and fix the box. They never called back.i had to have the park maintenance man and land Lord come and replace it with permission from the water company, all which took only half an hour. Now that it's all said and done my meter reads 772113.4. I have called the company back and they say it's on me. I've just never had such a problem. They have since shut off my water. When they did they stated the meter that I had just gotten replaced was busted once again and leaking. My bill is now a total of 2500.00, over a 1000.00 just to turn it back on(not including getting the meter fixed) I have turned them in to the BBB, the attorney general of Michigan and have spoken with an attorney. They need to be sued they are just big bullies. Not willing to work with people at all!
Same issue just happened to me. I just reported them to A.G. and BBB. What was your outcome?
Just did the same. Will see what happens
They are scam artist. I know our community did a class action suit. Now I think they are finding ways to take my money to get back their fine they had to pay. They never deducted my checking account, they showed it as paid. I didn't realize it. Then today it says I owe the bill, $50 which I am guessing is $15 late fee and 35 for whatever charge they claim. I tried to call and resolve to find out they only are open 4 days a week.
They are not a legimate company. I can't wait to move and get a real utility company.
