Nissan bad service

Scott, the service manager at Gunn Nissan and his helper Jeff were extremely rude, disrespectful, and bordered on sexist toward me. Nissan was required to repair a scratch they put on the car but Scott decided I had an "attitude" and refused me service. Jeff claimed that they were not representing Nissan and that they were Gunn. I though that was a ridiculous statement since Nissan was on their frontage road sign. I had arrived on time for my appointment at the time they required me to be there. I had to leave work to make THEIR scheduled time. I was supposed to ask for Scott when I arrived and that he was expecting me. But Scott was no where to be found, as a matter of a fact I was told he just went on lunch break. His helper, Jeff claimed to know nothing of why I had to be there at 3pm and knew no details. This, of course, made me upset after all the coordinating and sacrificing at my end to arrive at THEIR designated time. Jeff and Scott's characterization of me as having an "attitude" was sexist. Since I was upset and female they think it's OK to tell me I have an "attitude" and that they refuse to help me when I have the warranty paperwork from Nissan that ensures they will honor Nissan's mistakes. It was clear that they need some training from Gunn and Nissan or need to find another job that does not have to work with angry customers...which means they should probably not work in the auto industry. The arrogance I witnessed from both Scott and Jeff is repulsive. I have talked to Charlie Green, the general manager of Gunn Nissan, and he was no better. He made no apologies. Though he did seem to know more about my problem with the car than Jeff, who was my first contact person. I thought that was interesting. I strongly recommend you not buy a car from any Gunn dealership in San Antonio. They seem to have a corporate culture of not honoring Nissan work, nor being able to problem solve to help a customer. I have a call into Gunn corporate, specifically to a Hunter Hale, who has not given me the courtesy to return my call. It's scary to think that this is the kind of customer service we had to put up with in San Antonio. Nissan should be ashamed.

I too am a female and I have a Maxima which was bought out of state and is currently in need of service. Because of your experience and comments, I feel they might not be fully invested in doing the best work possible on my car because it was not purchased at Gunn Nisaan. I certainly dont need to be confronted with that type of superior attitude to top it off. I will take my chances with another dealership and not go to Gunn.

re: customer complaint

To whom it may concern:

Today, november 13, 2008, I had a cracked valve stem replaced on my 2007 versa at gerald nissan subaru north aurora in illinois. my complaint is that this valve stem was not covered under my extended warranty. according to gerald nissan, it was not a manufacturer defect.

This problem began, when the warning light came on telling me to check the tire pressure. while loosening the cap, the stem cracked.

I first took my car to al piemonte in melrose park. they looked at it, found the problem and reset the light. today, I went to gerald nissan in north aurora to have the service department repair the valve stem. these two dealers are the only ones who worked on the warning light and valve stem. when I went in today, I was informed by the service manager at gerald nissan that the metal caps should not be used on the aluminum stems and that they were not suited for the valve stems currently on my car. the car was purchased from the dealer with theses metal caps. I do not understand why metal caps were used in the first place. the mechanic made the repair and then changed all the caps to plastic.

The metal caps caused the stem to crack and nissan originally supplied them before I even purchased my versa. it is a manufacturer defect! nissan used mental caps on aluminum stems which are not compatible metals. I should not have had to pay $200 when the aluminium stem cracked because the original caps I was given were metal.

I feel very strongly that this is nissan’s fault. if this issue is not resolved and I do not get reimbursed, I will take this matter further and contact the consumer affairs department.

I have been a nissan owner for 15 years. (2 altimas and 1 versa) this is the first time I have had an issue with your product.

It is my wish that this issue can be resolved to me satisfaction. I can be contacted at [protected].

I went in for a oil change(I have the warranty for free oil change/tire rotation) and tire rotation. After waiting for the service to be done, the service tech came in showed me that they had performed the oil change, added window washer fluid and a couple of other fluids. He stated that they didn't rotate the tires because it was done last time and I needed new wipers. I explained that they did not rotate the tires last time because they told me I needed new ones, and that I had gotten them replaced. As for the wipers I questioned that because the same dealership had replaced my wipers about 4 months ago. He then had the tires rotated and came back to say that the wipers were fine, just had dirt on them. Oh did I mention that I am an older women who must look stupid but am not. Totally disgusted with the whole episode.

I purshed a Nissan versa with a 2000 dollar deposit.a few days later I found the car was in an accident. The dealer said they would exchange the car for the same price with a Chevy Aveo. I asked for my deposit back and they said no. I ask if they would put the 2000 deposit towrds the Chevy and they said no with no excuse. I have all the paper work and may take them to civil court.

I just bought a 2008 Nissan Versa from Carmax on Feb 5th. The car now spent more time with Carmax mechanics and both Southpoint (S. Austin), and Round Rock Nissan than with me. Since Feb 9th... the engine light came on. In the report it stated that the car passed state inspection on Jan 26, 2011, at 18, 027 miles. How could the engine light come back on, two weeks later. Carmax gives you five days to return the car! Even though the light came on, on Feb 9th and I was scheduled to bring the car in on the 10th... they pulled a code and said "codp0456 evap leak detected. System is not holding pressure. They replaced vent control and installed filter kit. Engine light came back on, On Feb 20th. The car was at Soutpoint Nissan and Carmax from Feb 11-18. Two days later, I had to take it back to Carmax and then to Round Rock Nissan. In addition to the engine light, the car door handle piece came off. I complained that sometimes it takes few times to turn the car on. Their response? "No correction needed. Battery rated at 475. Battery is ok, testing at 680 carnking amps. Passes standards. Alternator testing at 14.4 volt under load. Passes standards. On Feb 24, 2011, Round Rock replaced Vent control valve and evap canister. Retested. (Wait a minute, I thought Sout Point replaced the valve and filter kit! That's what the paper work stated for Feb 11-17! So now, I am confused. Jan 26, 2011 report showed the Evap "Not Ready" status in the Texas Vehicle Inspection Report! To The car is back at Round Rock Nissan.. the blue light came on and I didn't know what that was! Turns out it's the temperature light. It comes on and off! I still have troubles sometimes starting the car and the Nissan in Round Rock stated, "No problem found. Some Nissans typically have longer cranking periods than other makes. Tested battery and alternator and both meet standards. Break light is off... waited at Carmax for an hour and a half to have it fixed. I will not have my car now til Monday, March 7th. I've been driving their Loaner Cars since Feb 11-18, Feb 22-25th. My first payment is due for Capital One (they are the one financing all the drama, on March 22nd. After reading your post about "The Valve caps", I don't think my 2008 will make it! I am falling apart as quickly as my car. Carmax was awared of the engine light on the 9th of Feb (the 4th day)... On the 6th day, they told me it's the evap leak. Carmax rep refused to let me out of the contract. I am still liable to pay Capital 1. I don't know what to do!

I am currently dealing with this exact same issue. I tried to remove my tires' valve caps and they would not budge. I made the bad decision to use a wrench to remove the cap on one of the tires and the valve step broke in half with part of it still threaded into the cap. I had to get the sensored valve stem replaced and $90 later I now have to deal with the other tires. I talked to the dealership and they are aware of this metal cap/metal stem incompatibility, so I am hoping that they will fix the other tires without charge and reimburse the $90 I spent on the 1 broken valve. The valve caps and broken stems should definitly be something that the dealerships replaces free of charge.

I had my one year old Leaf towed to Nissan of Darien with some serious safety issues on December 3'd. Just as the 3 week "lemon law" period came into effect, I received panicky phone calls and a fax to my office telling me that the dealership was closing at the end of December 2014! I was instructed to "remove my vehicle"...since The Leaf was not repaired, it is not possible for me to drive it ! I sure hope this is not a ruse by the owner Mr. Steinmetz...

I have never been humiliated like this in my life.
We waited in the Darien dealership for about 40 minutes and then had to walk into someone cubical to get some attention.
We were told "we are too busy today, wait in the waiting area and someone will talk to you".
After a few minutes we walked into another cubical and got the same response.
there were about 6 employees easily visible, only 1 was with a client, 2 were on the phone and the other 3 walking in and out of the back offices.
We had also received a scratch card in mail, which showed that we had a winning number and should visit the dealership to claim our price, the scratch card was pulled out of our hands and were handed 2 "Presidential coins" and said this is what you have won !
If you plan to invite customers to your dealership with such fake events, at least have something that looks real .
we are a very well to do family and not beggars from the street and even if we were, no one should be treated like that.
SHAME ON YOU ! And I feel sorry that the town of Darien has a dealership like this.

After purchasing a Murano LE with all service prepaid from Darien Nissan, I was treated like trash. I had my check engine light come on, and it needed a service also. I needed a loaner because I have children to pick up, and I have a life.

They told me I would have to rent a loaner at $25.00 a day. I replied that my local dealership never has an issue with giving me a loaner for free. It was just that my local could not get me a car for a week.

It seems odd to me that in this time of economic difficulty, especially in the motor industry, that instead of bending over backwards to please a customer, they are slamming the door in my face.

I will never go there again for service or a new purchase. My husband and myself are looking to buy new vehicles, coincidentally, and with one phone call, Darien Nissan just lost the business.

Nissan service on 2005 nissan maxima

I took my 2017 nissan maxima to baker jacson for service after not one, but two different inspection companies told me that my car was registering with a problem on my catalytic converter. Baker jackson had my car for a total of 4 days, told me they could find "nothing" wrong". Left filthy handprints all over my upholstery, a huge dent in the door that of course no one knew anything about! Can someone tell them to tell me how"they found absolutely nothing wrong"I drive my car the following day not even 15 miles and the"service engine light" comes on. I would laugh if I could find something funny. Not to mention that I was billed over $600 for someone to tell me they found nothing wrong. I will definitely rethink buying nissan in the future.

I had my 45k service at Backer Jackson Nissan, the very next day the AC compressor blew out (Not sure what are the odds), they replaced the compressor and since then I complained more than one time than the AC is not blowing cold air. They checked the AC and said it is fine, just it is hot these days and always turn on the recycle (DAHH!)

I checked at two other places on the AC and found that the pherion is low.

Also, I had a hit at the bottom of the car and they said that i have to change the control arm for $600 and get a new rim because it is not repairable (Around $475)

Guess what, the control arm is working fine and found it outside Nissan for $75 (Yes, SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS) and I was able to fix the rim for $120 and found that the new rim is for $175-200 not $475 (And this was a special price) and also I was able to find a used rim with the tire for less than $100

Nissan horrible service & repairs

I have taken my 2007 nissan altima in 4 times to get it's brakes repaired. A loud sqeeking and vibrations has persisted for over 3 months. After 4 visits, pat peck nissan, still cannot get it right. The car needs new brake pads and roters, but pat peck nissan refuses to make the necessary repairs... They are trying to wait until the warranty runs out so they won't have to make the repairs. Do not buy from pat peck nissan... Do not buy from pat peck nissan!

Nissan fired without notice

I was a Manager recruited by Mr. Gates to work in Frankfort, Ky. After less than 60 days of service I am replaced without notice. This was not as a result of my performance but simply put "It's just business." I commuted 2hrs daily to work for Mr. Steve Gates and quit a job that paid me 75K per year! I have 2 small children that were taken out of a great daycare and placed in one closer to my new job in Frankfort. At this point, Mr. Gates has put me on the street with no insurance for my kids, no car, no pay, and didn't have enough respect for me to give me some type of notice or termination pay. Mr. Gates might fool some by speaking of his committment to customer service but as he continues to treat his own managers this way, it's just a matter of time before his actions supercede his implied messages on his commercials! Its very unfortunate that the wealthy lose sight of their morals/values and make such negative impacts on the lives of dedicated, hard-working families!

I am familiar with this organization and Steve Gates (I've seen his commercials) I am very disappointed that in today's economy the wealthy are able to make decisions that destroy hard working families. I will make sure I do not support this organization. Shame on you!

Nissan service rep from dealer trys rip me off!!!

I bought 20005 nissan altima, it was brand new car from dealer, I had only 1 miles on it when I bought this car. Never had problem until near 30, 000 miles check engine light came on. This was on 12-2007, I went to Cerritos Nissan and service rep told me my fuel pump is bad and there was recall on onboard computer. They fixed it under warranty. I notice something weird. Everythime I fill-up gas full level does not go all the way and gas level drops down too quickly, it seems like car is using more fuel. This car has 20 gallon tank, I could be already empty.

I went to different dealer closer to my home, They told me since other dealer did the repair you need to go back same Dealer for any more warranty repair. When I got to Cerritos Nissan, Service Rep told me they can't check on my car because gas is full. I told them to its okay to drain gasoline off from my car (they said its fire hazard) to come back when gas is near empty.

2nd attempt, march, 2008, I went to Cerritos Nissan to drop the car off, Service Rep told me we are overbooked, please come back later. (I already made appointment 3 month ago). I had no choice reschedule for another day

3rd attempt, may, 2008, went back to Cerritos Nissan, Service Rep who help me last time he no longer works there. No one know about I make appointment for service.

4th attempt, June, 2008, finally Cerritos Nissan, took my car and checked over and they did not found anything wrong. I asked service rep did you check the fuel level and service rep told me no need to check. That's funny, first Service Rep told me to bring car in when gas near empty. I think they are trying void the recalls they made or they simply does not time to check my car over.

I talked with Supervisor at the Cerritos Nissan, He told me since you havn't done any 30, 000 mile service he recommend doing service, He quote $1600 that's right $1600. He also told me car battery is weak and needs to change right way. I said wait a minute here. I went to my own mechanic there was nothing wrong the battery. He did voltage check and re-checked nothing.

You know, Some time business slow and they try to make sales, COME ON! I bought the car from dealer and they tried to rip-me OFF! I am not happy at all with service they give me. They are losing nissan customer. I am not buying another nissan! Cerritos of Nissan (CA). Beware! This dealer will try to rip you off any way they can!

I took my 2012 nissan because I was told I had an oil leak. I was told to take it back to my dealer to have the part replaced. I get my car back and was told they 'sealed it' for me. But then my mirror almost fell as i was getting closer to the freeway. the service rep Don said he was told my mirror became loose after the car wash. At that point they intended to push the part back into place. His service manager told me he inspected my vehicle and determined this was not their fault. NO one informed me of the new damage to my mirror. Not only was he saying this was not theiraw that my side mirror was loose and instead of telling me before I drove off. I drove that car ib perfectly fine and have a picture of how it left. how can this not be their fault?

Nissan sleezy car dealerships

I purchased a brand new 2009 nissan from Universal Nissan on a Saturday. I signed all the paperwork, traded in my car and left. After SIX days of having the car, I receive a TEXT MESSAGE from the salesman stating there was an issue with financing and I needed to come up with money down and I needed to prove all of my information. Furious that I received this information, which I deemed as quite urgent through text message, I called to dealership to speak to someone. After the third phone call and asking to speak to the General Manager, did someone finally came to the phone. After a 35 minute conversation that went no where, the finance manager told me that he would call me back Monday with my options. So now, I have the car for another 3 days. At about 4pm on Monday, I call them because of course they could not be bothered to call me. After once again explaining that I was not putting money down and getting no where I told, he tried to tell me he would work on it some more. Two more days went by and no one contacted me, until once again I receive a text message stating that I need to refinalize the contract or bring the car back. I call and can get no one on the phone. Thursday morning I call and at 9am and no one in the finance department is in. I call a total of 7 times on Thursday and are put on hold a total of an hour and 15 minutes. Finally someone decides to pick up the phoen when I once again ask to speak to the store manager. The original finance person I spoke to explains that in order to make the sale go through I need to put $1000 down. I tell him no because this has taken to much time out of my life. Then when I ask him to tell me what the rate would be if by some miracle I did decide to put the money down, he says he can't disclose that information. I said that I would be at the dealership the next morning at 9am and was either leaving with the loan finalized or my old car. I show up the next morning at 9am and hes not there. I tell the receptionist that I want to speak to the manager and what a surprise they don't know where he is. Another finance person comes out.
They try to convince me to put the money down and I tell the person that I stated on the phone last night that I was not putting any money down and didn't want to be asked. At this point I say go get me my car. They try to convince me to work something out. I let him know that I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of people in my life. You do not communicate with customers on text message especially on such a pretty important matter. Not to mention what would have happened if the car would have been in an accident or I would have gone out of town. Needless to say they are going to attempt to sell the car as a new car and its not.
I truly believe this whole thing is a huge selling scam. You let a person take a brand new car home and drive around for two without financing. That is not only sleezy, but stupid. Don't buy from Universal Nissan!

Nissan bad service

I brought my car in to five towns nissan on thursday, 10/9/08 for both service and a problem I have had with my car for four years - when I go to put the driver front side automatic window up it pops back down. The only way I figured to get the window to stay up is by "inching" it up a little at a time (Which does not always work). On 10/9/08, I sat for 3 1/2 hours waiting for my car. Please note that I brought the car in regarding the window problem on 11/24/04 this problem was corrected. Then the same problem happened and I brought it again to five towns nissan on 5/19/05, it was corrected. Again, I had the same problem - brought it again to five town nissan on 6/21/07, it was corrected and yet again the same problem and brought it back to five towns nissan on 10/9/08. I told my advisor louis that I was tired of it, obviously after all this time the problem itself has not been fixed and that there must be some kind of defect and that I should not have to pay for this problem again. Louis spoke to the service manager, alex, to which he said, "sorry." I asked numerous times to personally speak to alex the service manager on this day to which louis came back and said, "alex is too busy to speak with you." I replied that "I have been sitting here for 3 1/2 hours and he cannot speak with a customer for 1 minute?" louis came back and said "no he cannot." I said I was going to take this to the "higher ups" if I was unable to speak to the manager and apparently they did not care! I paid good money for a brand new car and pay good money every several months when I bring my car in for service and this is the way I am treated?! Very unprofessional! I left without my window being fixed and, I am very unhappy. Doubt I will ever buy a nissan car again! (Note: a complaint was also filed with five towns nissan).

nissan commercial van
Ozone Park, US
Aug 18, 2013 9:45 pm EDT

I went there to buy a Nissan commercial van.I negiated a sticker cash price of approx. 27000 for the van before they started adding nonsense fees like dealer prep fee and another fee I cant remember totaling a little over 1000( dealer prep fee my foor...the tray liner was dirty and the tpms was on when I drove off with ot bc the 2 back tires had not been inflated properly...I ended up paying apprx 46000 for this van and they didn't even thrown in a full tank of gas) when we went to do the financing the total came up to apprx 46000 with a payment of almost 600 a mth...I started to inquire y...the finance guy is telling us we only put own 5000 when we had our receipts we put down 9900 CASH. so after that was cleared up and the payments dropped by almost a 100 the price was still 46000...they added on over 8000 in warranies that we had to get if we wanted the new van or if we took interest alone price with no warranties we would still be paying the same amount in less time with penalty fees etc...even with an interest rate of 4.99 there were so many hidden fees and nonsense but it was after 10 in the night and my wife and I were very tired at that point so we just accepted the offer. I bought a NEW Nissan sentra from NISSAN OF QUEENS 2 yrs ago and was thoroughly satisfied with them and even paid the car off in 2 yrs with them and was very very happy with that dealership...only reason I didn't go there is bc they didn't sell the Nissan commercial vans. I feel in my heart I got robbed and duped by this dealership...I would not recommend to anyone

I had a problem with my tire's kept going to the dealers and they would just fill the tires, call Nissan Affairs and spoke to a customer service person, send in the information a what is cost me to fix the tire's after 4 trips to the dealership. She was going to get me my
money back but I never got another thing as of yet, 2 mos.
I guess you people don't real care.

Thank You

You should file a complaint with nissan not the dealer. I was a complete nissan family till i did business with Eddie Tourelle's Northpark Nissan in Covington, La. What we all need to do is get back to buying AMERICAN.

Nissan rude, unhelpfull dealership

First Week,

First Issue - I just saw a "Nissan Murano 2005 w/26500 miles" at their website that i wanted to buy so badly and went for a test drive. A sales person called "PEDRO" introduced himself and offered me a test drive. Everything was going good the first day. It took them 5hrs + to apply for a finance on a name that we have written clearly on the forms ... everybody in the showroom needed glasses i think ... anyway after battling all those hours, they accepted my trade in and offered me the good news of approval on my murano. They accepted that it was their fault for applying for a finance with the wrong spelled name.

Second Issue - Second day i start the car, and realize a funny noise coming from within the hood, out of curiousity i opened the hood and dropped my jaw when i saw the EMTPY POWERSTEERING FLUID RESERVOIR and MISSING ANTIFREEZ CAP + ANTIFREEZ WAY BELOW MIN LEVEL in there. Well instead of spending my time and money on gas + toll charges to get to jersey from NYC i just simply thought i would go to the nearest dealer and grab a CAP for antifreez and then get a PowerSteeringFluid and top it off. ( Not to mention - they charge $600 dollars when you purchase any used car, and according to sales person, the charge was for the vehicle's care while it was at the dealership, such as oil change, all the lubricants and those minor issues, guess what i paid, and for my bad luck these ###s didn't do what they charged for. )

Third Issue - To make the fool out of myself, i just kept believing that they were an established dealership who will have good customer experience and such. Anyway they proved me wrong in less than a week. Again in a couple of days i started hearing the same noise that i heard earlier. Guess what, the power steering fluid was way below COLD MINIMUM level this time which i just topped off two days ago. Heck yes, there was a leak which i wasn't even notified about. I made a visit to the dealership and i was told that they are going to order a vehicle specific PowerSteering Hose which they don't have in stock and wanted me to come back in a week. As i doubted when i walk in back again, they told me it hasn't arrived yet and to come back another week later.. Phew, that was already two weeks. Then they told me to come on a Saturday which i called in to make sure if the part has arrived before i walk in, just to avoid all those gas and toll expenses for me to go back and forth. Guess what they told me no it hasn't and to come back a week later. Crap after all those three weeks finally the part came in and they fixed it for me. But then, my gripe is that they haven't kept the promise. I lost two days of work and money just to get my car fixed.

DAY 20,

Fourth Issue - ( Remember, as i am from New York City, and the vehicle was purchased at New Jersey i had to wait for the licence plates to come in ) I paid my fifth visit to jersey to check if my LICENCE PLATES has arrived, especially because my temporary pass was expiring. Well most of you know what i am about to say, "No, it hasn't arrived yet" the lady in the front said and she also said the person called "SARAB ___" went to vacation and she forgot to send in somebody to DMV to get my plates in. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to appologize to me and give me another TEMP PASS so that i can keep driving. I left the dealership with no more choices.

DAY 37,

Fifth issue - At the same time Suprisingly i recieved a letter from CHASE AUTO FINANCE ( Bank ) for my older car which i traded in with them ( i had payments on it which has to be made every month, but according to trade in policy of this dealer, they are supposed to pay off the vehicle as you trade it in and clear it out and add the difference to your new car's value and get you financed for the new amount, in simple words **previous car's balance + your current cars value = your new cars financed amount** ..., Did they make the payments ? heck no ) i had to pay visits to the dealer 3 times since the bank started sending me unpaid due of last month and late charges and such. To get things more intensed the bank claimed that they will report it to my CREDIT and kill my CREDIT HISTORY for not making any payments which i thought the dealer would have settled at the time of my new vehicle's purchase. Having 3 days left from bank's due date, i paid a visit to the dealership again to find out the lady had made the check and sent it in a day earlier. Was it true ? I am yet to find out. however the sales guy PEDRO was able to obtain a copy of the check for me. Well i had to take it and go back home, since the sales guy PEDRO was repeating that he can't do anything about the FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT'S issue and he is just a sales guy, but when asked if i could speak to FINANCIAL DEPT and that SARAB LADY in specific he mentioned she just stepped out, which was a lie and insisted she will back after an hour or later.

I asked for another Temporary Pass since its day 37 before temp expires in 3 days, so that i can keep driving until the plates come in, the sales guy PEDRO a was getting rough on us and said that they don't offer temporary pass unless the old one expires and he wanted me to come back 3 days later, WTF ? why do i have to pay $35+ for each visit on gas and toll for their mistake in not getting my plates in time. With no choice ( believing the bank was settled ) and half bad news ( the license plates are still not in ) i had to leave the dealership. In less than ten minutes this salesguy PEDRO calls me and tells me he can offer me the papers for registration, license plates and title and i could take them to local DMV and do it in my own ( which is what i asked for since these lazy bums are not doing anything at all ). To finish all these nightmare, i asked the salesguy PEDRO about what to do with these papers now and wanted to ask him questions, and guess what, this guy just turns his face away and go takes another customer while i am trying to talk to him and keeps ignoring my call. Again i leave the dealership with no help and guess what, same day i went to DMV and got my plates myself, got my car inspected, got my registrations and all of things are finally done ... In my opinion all of these won't take two days to finish, but this LAZY DEALERSHIP just took almost 40 days and still haven't done a thing. All in all i had a very bad experience and i advice you my dear fellow consumers to stay away from this dealership. This is not the place to visit if you are expecting honesty, and work getting done.

Ratings -

Showroom - 2/5.
Service - 2/5.

Manager - 0/5. ( he knew that i walked in for an issue and saw me everytime and kept himself hiding and didnt even talk to me once even when i called on to talk to him. He avoided me all times and never talked a second.

Sales Guy Pedro - 1/5. ( he was good first when i met him, but he didn't take responsibility or try to help me with issues and he acted "i dont care, its no more my problem" policy... voices were rough and very unhelpfull at the end. )

Sarab ( Finance Dept Lady ) -0/5. ( She needed a vacation before she finish the work, my advice she should have never came back if she is that lazy to finish up her work before making the customers wait for her. She forgot to make my payments, She forget to send in my licence plates )

Dana ( Accounts ) - 4/5. ( she was the one who misspelled our name and got us waiting to get approval, but she was very polite and nice enough not to be angry to explain, and answered all our calls, while all the others never answered )

Front Desk - 4/5. ( These girls were very polite and helpful eventhough there is nothing much they could have done for me they at least kept me informed and been honest while one of those girls gave me a temp pass without my question understanding i have to travel long miles to get to dealer everytime )

if there is anything good about this dealearship, its just the girls at frontdesk and the accounts person dana, i thank you both, while i hate the rest of your dealership.

TROUBLESOME DEALERSHIP AND NON RESPONSIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE AS ITS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. I WOULD NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMEND TO ANYONE.

Higgs - The person who is responsible to get you your Registration info and Licence plates is called, SARAB BERNARD. The accountant. I know because i had to deal with them as well. Why dont you walk into dealership and just ask for this lady. I know she might try to slip, but dont let her, just wait in the showroom and tell the manager that you are waiting to see her and leave a msg to her who should be sitting in her room ( 9am to 4pm most of the times ) i did this.

After a lot of cursing and yelling, she decided to give me the papers so that i can file for REGISTRATION, TITLE, and LICENCE PLATES myself.

Licence Plates and Registration i got it the same day i went to DMV myself, and TITLE or Proof Of Ownership will be mailed to you in couple of months which is normal. I am glad i demanded and filed it myself. Or else who knows how much more time and money they would have made me waste.

Just tell them, if you are not going to give me the plates today, just give me my papers and info, i'll go to my local DMV and get it myself. Which you can have your plates the same day that you pay visit to DMV. Thats what i did buddy and it worked. So just go there, and Demand for it or threaten them that you will file a lawsuite or call police on them. As a matter of fact, its okay if you really call the police because these buncha rats deserve it.

The other day i was calling them, just when i wanted them to make my trade-in vehicles payment, And finally i got to speak to the FINANCIAL CONTROLLER, i forgot his name, but this ### was insisting that he might hang up the phone on me for asking to pay me for car that i have traded in. I told him, and i was recording the converstation, so that i can show it the law firm as a proof of how everytime i called them they just repeated the same info and not answered my question directly, while being rude or never pickup or return calls.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - was the guy who sends checks to the bank to clear out trade in vehicle's exisiting balance, and you'll be laughing if i tell you how the system works. Let me say it anyway just to keep my fellow shoppers informed.

" Checking in particular - after sales ( money in ) and expenses ( money out ) each day will leave their account with different number of balance. Off that balance is where the trade-in vehicle's pay off and other expenses are covered. Due to many checks are sent out by dealer everyday, the FINANCIAL CONTROLLER has to calculate and chose which checks to pass on and which to hold according to the money left in bank.

This is where, this FINANCIAL CONTROLLER guy sent my checks 3 time and recalled them due to no avail of money in bank. My gripe is that this ### was playing with me for no reason. Why did he kept recalling my check and gave me all these headaches, and take advantage of my quiet, polite nature. He knows that if he was doing this with somebody else, he would have ended up in jail, or in hospital due to vicious attack.

Exactly well said Higgs. This is the worst dealership i ever met. Because of these freaks my credit score was down ( Because collection agency started to investigate, thus leading to a affect my credit ).

I was talking to Nissan itself too. They were very helpful and wiling to work on my side. But the dealership kept showing the rude face to me. Finally when they decided to pay, it was already 4 MONTHS from the day one. I believe this Dealership is a SCAM and wonder why NISSAN MOTOR CORP is still allowing these kind of uneducated dealers to be in business. In my opinion, NISSAN SHOULD VOID THIS DEALERSHIP CONTRACT, AND RUN THEM OUT OF BUSINESS.

If you guys ever wanted to buy a car, look for any other dealership which has better reviews and good customer relationships, or simply shop in New York Nissan Of Garden City ( this is in Long Isand guys, i know they sound similar but last word, i bought my Altima here and things were right on time and no hassles. ), even though its expensive, its a price you pay for reliability and peace of mind.

Keep me posted, HIGGS, and i wish you a very good luck to get your things done and i feel your pain bro. Coz i dealt with the exact same monsters. Update in here if you can. I really wish to follow up your story. Good Luck again.

New Yorker, I'm in a similar if not worse situation. I'm 148 days out from PURCHASE of a car from this horrible dealership. (Stealership). To date, I have no registration, my bank doesn't have the title, and can't get anyone at the dealership to answer the phone, much less call me back. I'm currently pursuing recourse through Nissan, BBB, and Law enforcement.

Day 55,

as if today ...

thanks maria, for sharing your comment.

(continued)

The check ( which, supposed to pay of the trade-in vehicle ) reached the bank last week, after a week of another battle. But then, the nightmare doesn't end here yet... guess what peoople, "THE CHECK HAS BOUNCED" ... i really don't understand what kind of a*hole dealership this is ... but everything seems horrifying ... I mean, what is with these people, why do they have a hard time paying the bank the money they got from Nissan Motor Acceptance Cooperation.

Anybody here wants to give me a suggestion on what to do guys ? i mean i am tired of dealing with these bunch of ###s. Trust me if i had a bomb or something, I'll just blow up the dealership and walk away... sometimes i do wish to be a superman so i can manhandle things. anyways, dreaming aside and back to business, I'll keep you guys updated about more of my experience with these loser dealership.

guys if you ask me for an advice, please stay away from this Dealership. You'll thank me later.

I have been here to this dealer but i was lucky to understand them at first sight and avoid the deal. The manager is indeed very rude and unhelpful. Nobody picks up calls for sure too. They tried to do business with me without telling me the car price and i told them, leave it fellows i aint the stupid you thought me for lol and left. Good luck for you friend to get everything settled.

Avoid this dealer at all cost.

Day 42,

as if today, the payment hasn't been recieved by the CHASE BANK yet, even though this stupid dealership claims that they have sent it in already... lets hope that this gets done by tomorow, or i am calling for the help of law, and suing this dealership and all those misbehaved with me at the dealership.

people, if you have similar experience as me with this, please come join hands, and together we make them pay for what they did.

Nissan co - signer

This is a complaint to their Business Office I purchase a car there Last June2007, I needed a co signer, my sister did co sign for me after sitting in the office with the car salesman Lamont and the Business Manager Susan Chow we were told by the two of them after my sister name has been on the contract for a year she can have her name removed, June 16th 2008 I called Nalley to have her name removed, I was told by the salesman Lamont and the Business Mgr. in order to have her name removed I would have to have the car refince with another down payment, this has called problems between she and I and nalley lied to us, this problem need to be corrected by the dealership and Drive Finance, this is Leading to a court battle between two sisters that took the words from the salesman and the Buiness mgr to be trust worthy, yet in still we found that they both lied in order to make a sale, will someone contact me to resolve this matter or other legal matters will be taken. Thanks B.L.Ward

No one lied. Drive finance is a secondary bank. You would have to make another down payment to refinance. There is a reason why your sister had to co-sign for you and it happens to be the same reason why you have drive finance...simply...your credit wasn't strong enough. If it were, then you wouldn't need a co signer or a secondary bank.

Nissan terrible experience

We've had this car since new for 6+ years and have had this "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" indicator show up on the dashboard. This has happened 5 times in 6 years, in which 4 of those times, it has been the same problem: the vent control valve was no longer working.

The dealer in Unionville Ontario, Canada has said each and every time that "parts do fail". The problem is that this part failed 4 times in 6 years when it was supposed to last the lifetime of the car. After repeated requests for the dealer (after the 3rd time) to get Nissan Canada involved, the answer was always no. Seemed suspicious that every 1+ year, that this part will fail.

I called Nissan Canada myself and complained. I told them the dealer was willing to provide full maintenance history of the car, but after 2 minutes on the line with them, the CSR says "oh, your car doesn't have extended warranty" and there was nothing that could be done. If I had extended warranty, would I be calling them... not so bright, those people at customer service. The fact is the same part has failed 4 times in 6 years and no one thinks that is abnormal.

Well, I think it's abnormal and for their attitude, when my 2 Nissans need replacing with new models, I can guarantee you it will NOT be another NISSAN product... ever. We've got a large extended family, and believe me, I will do everything in my power to dissuade them from buying a NISSAN or INFINITY product. There are quality conscious and customer friendly car companies out there, so NISSAN can kiss my business goodbye.

Nissan bad service

I was involved in a disagreement with a Certified Service Consultant Viviana Mundo though out the day on 17-Sep-2008. She lied to me not once, but on several occasions.

I brought my wife's vehicle in, a 2005 Nissan Altima, for a recall. While being processed by Ms. Mundo she asked if we needed anything else looked at. The rear window defroster has two lines that do not work so I asked if it was covered on the warranty, she said I believe so. Believing that the defroster was under warranty I gave her permission to fix it. Later to find out it was not under warranty and I was on the hook for $55.00 diagnostic fee. Lie number one.

I again spoke with Ms. Mundo who stated that due to the misunderstanding she would wave the diagnostic charge and we agreed that to the radiator flush which would satisfy the other $55 diagnostic charge. Lie number two.

I would have never authorized a radiator flush if I knew that I was still going to have to pay the $55 (dialogistic) and the $55 (radiator flush).

I received a call from Ms. Mundo that my vehicle was ready for pickup and she related that the amount owed was $117, I reminded her of our earlier agreement at which time she stated the amount owed was $62. Lie number 3.

During this whole altercation throughout the day on 17-Sep-2008 I was directed to Ms. Mundo for all communications, but for some reason when we arrived to pick up the vehicle we were deferred to Mr. Joe Pervazas. Once again we were back to the $117. Lie number 4.

The Service staff made promises that they did not keep. Throughout the day my grand total changed several times, it stared at $110, then it went to $62, then $117, then $55, then $117 again and finally I paid $110.

I have attempted to contact the service manager and he has not gotten back to me. I also sent an email to the owner of the dealership as well as Nissan executives, again no attempt to contact me in an attempt to resolve this ourselves.

Nissan fraud and cheating

In 2007 I purchased a brand new Nissan Sentra. I made my car payments through either their Matrix system or directly paid through my online banking account. May & June 2008, I fell behind with my payments due to health reasons.

July 13th 3008 Nissan Financial Corp repossessed my vehicle. Nissan allowed me to pay three car payments, they reversed my late fee's, but they claimed I still owed three car payments in which they would be willing to refinance to the end of the loan

I agreed to pay the three payments, I sent proof that two payments where missing (I did not know where they got the third deficient payment from). Finally, I retrieved the car from repossession, then Nissan sends me a letter stating they posted my payment to another account-sorry.

July 26th I was in a accident due to the recall of the brake cylinder in the Nissan. After my insurance paid for the damage and I paid for the deductible. Nissan repossessed my car again on 09/09/08 because they claim that I am 80 days late.

This is the most egregious display of incompetency and illicit business practices.

Nissan scam and cheating

I switched my car at cox nissan 2 months ago they were suppose to pay of the loan of the car in which they kept... they sold the car and I am still being billed for this vehicle I do not even own. In I am currently paying for my car loan "in which I have" and also paying for one these *** have sold (excuse my french but I am pissed). This is the second time they do this to me, they messed up my credit the first time and I didn't learn because I went to these irresponsible people again. They do not return phone calls and they give you the run around on something I shouldn't have to.The bottom line is this time I am taking legal action and I want them to suffer the way I have.

I purchased a new Nissan from them in 2005 now that the car is getting older I notice that one side of the lower panel is a slight different color, I guess that they touch it up a bit after a minor accident.

They were big time crooks, the salesman wanted a tip for selling me the car, I was stupid to do it, but at lease he gave me a set of of so call wheel locks.

I thought this only happened to me! I traded my old car for a new versa and they didnt pay off the trade in until 3 month later, I had toyota (trade in) calling me and saying that they never received the pay off money, which left me liable for the balance of the car! I called several times to Nissan Cox and all they did was give me the run around. I finally called for Mr. COx and they passed the phone call to him and he was irate because I told the receptionist that it was a personal call. I told him it was personal, my credit was at stake. I told him that he ran a very suspect company and very unprofessional, especially when the manager keeps calling you "sweetie". He said he could not understand why I was calling him and transferred me to the comptroller, who stated he sent the check but must have sent it to the wrong address. I finally went down there and raised hell. There were people there to buy cars, I told them loudly to run for their lives, and go to another nissan that have professionals selling cars. I was quickly attended to. A check was written out and mailed out. I love my new car just wished I could have been saved the aggrevation. Trust me when I say, and I dont wish bad things on people, that when I heard on the news that they were closed down and the were interviewing Mr. Cox, I felt no sympathy. I believe in what comes around goes around and GOD DONT LIKE UGLY!

I've read in a newspaper a fewweeks ago the feds shut Cox Nissan down, they brought a trailer and loaded all the vehicles onto it all tha'ts left is just maybe a handful of cars. Good for him because his prices was plain ridiculous, a car you can get for $11, 000 he would sell the same thing for about $14, 000

I agree with this person... In 2006 my parents decided to reward me with a new 2006 Altima. They wanted to buy it for me, but still let me have some responsibility of my own so they gave Cox nissan a Bank check for almost the amount of the deal less 3, 000 dollars... this way I would make some payments to build my credit and also have responsibility... The deal was done and sealed with the sales guy and then we were sent off to the Finance Manger.. This is where the scamming begun.. My Mother was co-signing for me who has Excellent credit.. my mother was from another country and does not understand the system here too well.. she tends to think that most people are honest and conduct honest bussiness... so she signed where the guy assured us to sign... telling us that although the bank aproved us for the loan of 3, 000 dollars... they will not allow me to finance that amount without us installing Lo-Jack in the car... which "will add another 3000 dollars to the finance amount"... and also that the bank says that we need to add additional warranty which would add about "2500 to the finance amount" and so on and so on... he assured us that this was customery and so against my protest my mother assured me to sign... by the time we were done and received the final paperwork it was as if we never made a deposit! We later found out from a source in the bussiness that all that extra money turned into commission for the finance manager!... This was a hard lesson for my mother and I to learn.. All my parents wanted to do was buy me a car... and also support a black owned bussiness... BIg Mistake... This Dealership was filled with crooks... but what goes around comes around ... It 's sad to say, but im glad they ran out of bussiness... Good will always prevail over evil!

Nissan buying a car

I filed bankruptcy and keep receiving letters from United nissan to come in a get a new car. I finally went in and they took my drivers license and keys and kept them until I said yes on a new car. 6 hours later I finally said yes and got a new car and drove off the lot with contract all signed at 16.25 %. Everything was fine until they called me back and said that I needed to finish the contract at 25% interest. That was 14 days later. I was so shocked. I had new cover made for the car and had drove it at least 800 miles. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So my friend followed me down to nissan and I returned the car. I live on a budget and I'm a senior citizen and really don't think they even care. I will never go to them ever again and I will tell all my friends my story when they are looking for a new car as well. I still have a coupon for $100 in free gas which I never received either for taking a test drive. If anyone has a class action suit against this company I would really like to know.

I went down a week ago and was approved for a 2008 Kia Spectra - they called me and said we cant finance you in that car with what you put down - you would have to come back down with another 2000 down to stay in the car or we have to put you into a different vehicle - I also had a signed contract showing what my monthly payment would be and what my interest rate was for financing - they stated it was because of my length of employment which they knew when they let me drive off the lot in the vehicle - I did not falsify my application in any way, the day after getting the car a accident happen which I informed them of and told them a claim had already been started with my insurance - they demanded that the car had to be left and repaired and threatened not to release the bill of sale for the vehicle - they totally took the option away from me as far as having the car repaired because all that was done was scrapes and a crack in the plastic of the front right bumper - now my insurance will probably demand the 1000 dollar deductible be paid even though I did not authorize repairs to be done - I am seeking a attorney

Listen, you obviously had filed bankruptcy. The fact that the can even get you a deal is good. Its not united nissans fault you got in way over your head and had to file. I am so sick of hearing people saying they "took my keys!" I am sorry but you handed them your keys for a trade appraisal. You signed the contract, they were trying to get you the best deal possible. And you should have really paid attention to the gas voucher before you left the first time. And the fact that you even can come online and complain about them saying %25 shows me you really have no clue when it comes to buying a car and how it works. Dealers have to hustle banks to get a deal "billed" which means a bank buys the contract. So they probably had people in the back working extremely hard to get a bank to buy your deal! Not their fault cause once again you have bad credit. your fault not theirs. Pay your bills ontime and the monthly payments and interest can get worked out, you didn't do that so stop complaining,

Nissan crooks

These people are the biggest crooks in Texas. They try to rape you on your car deal and make the most money they can to pad their greedy pockets. Then, they don't follow through with their end of the deal. We have purchased 2 vehicles from them and got screwed both times! They are rude and arrogant and I will never buy from them again! I hope their dealership closes! We have been trying for 2 months to get the tag on our last vehicle we purchased and we still don't have it. They are CROOKS! Just go online and watch Avery Johnson's advertising videos - it will make you sick! It is a pack of lies!

In the state of Texas a dealer has 21 days to register the vehicle you purchased from them, if they still haven't got you your plates you can call the Texas Department of Transportation and file a complaint or you can get the title bonded (which hurt the dealer allot). The only reason they would be able to extend the amount of days they have is if they have paid the vehicle off for someone that traded it in and that bank they paid has not sent the title to them yet. In this case they would give you a supplementary (blue) tag. They will tell you that that is the case most of the time however it usually is not. They are doing what we call in the business "floating a title" which means they have put your $ in their account, but not paid for the title yet, so they still own the car and they have your $. You can also report this to the Texas Department of Transportation. There are certain penalties that a dealer can get hit with from doing business like this, but only if you report it. Please file a complaint. This particular company has hurt allot of consumers out their buy putting anyone they could in vehicles they couldn't afford by using shady financing techniques. Please, if you have bad/no credit DO NOT fall for the "shadow program" because it doesn't exist! DO NOT sign paperwork twice and if you do, compare the contracts side by side for anything they will slip in on you (because they will). If you refuse to resign, they will most likely forge your signature on a contract showing #'s you did not agree to and send that one in to the bank that approved you. Call whatever bank they sent you up with and make sure that the # they have match yours. If they don't you have a case on your hands. To anyone out there reading this: If you ever buy a car from any dealership that does financing please take my advice. The other response to your message by "Len" is most likely from an employee. If not than that person has not read or understood their contract thoroughly and doesn't know how much they just got screwed. Len DID get screwed because they he/she bought a car that is newly released and that is when a dealer can make the most $ off of you. Len( if you are not an employee) please read your contract. They are nice to you because you fell for whatever gimmick they were trying to push at the time. Sorry for all you innocent people out there, but you have to be smarter than them. Research everyone before you buy anywhere. YOU"RE WELCOME!

I had the BEST experience EVER - bought the new Nissan GTR and the team at Avery Johnson North Texas Nissan was stellar! How does not getting a tag make them crooks!? Nothing worse than "anonymous" internet complaints with no substance behind them. North TX Nissan couldn't be nicer!

Nissan 2000 nissan sentra gxe

Have had several instances where "Service Engine Soon" light on dash came on. On one visit, light was reset, but when car was returned, keyless door entry did not work. Dealer said their repairs could not have affected this problem. Had to install new keyless door entry receiver.
On next service engine light episode, first visit was to reset light. This lasted two days. Returned and was told that car needed new hot O2 sensor ($300.) Had installed, light came on next day. Third visit in this episode, was told that car needed new mass airflow sensor, with cost of $400+. I did not get this repair. This makes me suspect that the O2 sensor was not needed. Multiple visits for problems, inconvenience of having to take car to dealer. Incorrect troubleshooting, or incompetent work being done.

I recently bought a 2005 Kia Optima EX from Nissan of Gadsden, the car has a 2yr or 24, 000 mile warranty. The blower resistor in the AC was out, Nissan of Gadsden promised to fix it for free, it wasn't covered under warranty but they said it was okay and that they would fix it.I waited three weeks for the part, and when I went to have it put on they had ordered the wrong part and said the new part would be here in a week. The check engine light came on and stayed for three days and went off so I never took it back.I overheard that a woman came in and said her car would crank but it took four or five tries, and the woman at the front desk told her they couldn't look at it that day and it would be next week before they could get to it.They also sold a car that has bad tires on it(my car) and they are trying to get out of buying new tires for it.The salesman that sold me my car keeps flirting with me I'm twenty one and he is in his 40's I believe. They never have time to look at your car, and they always have some excuse.

I recently bought a 2005 Kia Optima EX from there, the check engine light came on a while back and went off, so I didn't bother taking it back. When I bought the car the blower resistor motor in the A/C was out, and they promised to fix it I have a 2 yr 24, 000 warranty on the car the part was not covered so they just push the part price down to cover it.I waited 3 weeks for the part, went to get it and it was the wrong part, not to mention they had my car for a hour and 45 mins and now I'm trying to get them to get me some tires since they didn't offer to put new ones on and it needs them badly. The salesman I bought the car from flirts with me all the time and I'm 21 and I'm sure he's at least in his 40's..I'm still waiting on the part the lady told me it would be here in a week I doubt it.They are also low on technicians which I find aggrevating they NEVER have time to look at your car and are always making excuses as to why they can't look at it.
