I am deeply disappointed with my experience as a UnitedHealthcare member. When I needed coverage for a prescribed medication, my appeal was denied despite providing medical documentation and following the proper process. The decision felt more like a rigid adherence to policy than a genuine concern for patient health.
The communication throughout this process was frustrating — long letters filled with technical jargon, but little compassion or practical help. Instead of supporting me in managing a serious health condition, UnitedHealthcare placed barriers that left me without the treatment my doctor recommended.
Healthcare should be about people, not just paperwork. Unfortunately, UnitedHealthcare has shown me that their priority is cost containment, not patient care. I cannot recommend their services to anyone seeking reliable, supportive healthcare coverage.
I strongly encourage others to explore different healthcare options. There are providers who value patients’ well-being and offer clearer, more compassionate support. UnitedHealthcare has failed to meet even the most basic expectations of care and service.
