Medavie Blue Cross Not good at all

Website is clumsy. Information not easy to find. Customer service bad (only available communication method is through email), they take a long time to reply and often misunderstand the question so more emails needed and extra time to wait for the answer!

For the most part, 80% coverage up to $500 for some things is not great. I would prefer 100 % coverage up to $500.

Their email communication must be accessed with a different password than the website password.. more complications, plus I couldn't find my original emailed question attached to their reply so made it more awkward to answer back and find out what they had not understood..

Customer support obviously don't take much time to read carefully.

Medavie Blue Cross I ain't giving this company more than one star!

I ain't giving this company more than one star! They gave me coverage for drugs I didn't even want, even though I told them multiple times on the phone. And now I can't even get out of it! Their client service is just plain awful. Other companies I've dealt with have been way easier to reach and their websites are simple to use. Plus, their customer service is just fine.

Medavie Blue Cross My coverage ended on Sept 27th, 2021 when I changed jobs

My coverage ended on Sept 27th, 2021 when I changed jobs. Since then, I asked for a denial letter from Medavie Blue Cross so that my medication can be covered by the provincial plan. This medication was never covered by us Cross, but the pharmacy is getting an error message due to Blue Cross. On my first phone call to them, I was told I would receive the letter in 5-10 biz days. When that came and went, I called them again and was told it would be another 5 biz days. This too has come and gone. In the meantime, I have been without my necessary medication, and my health is getting worse. They have a very unhelpful and cavalier attitude when I call. I'm not sure what my next step should be, so any help would be appreciated.

Medavie Blue Cross Medavie Blue Cross sometimes changes the rules of group health insurance without telling anyone, which can make it hard to get the money you

Medavie Blue Cross sometimes changes the rules of group health insurance without telling anyone, which can make it hard to get the money you need. They recently said that you can only get money back if you go to a health person who is registered with them AND with another group. This is not fair to people who have insurance and it's not what other companies do. Medavie Blue Cross says they are doing this to stop fake health people, but it doesn't make sense to stop people from getting money for things they already did. It's not right that people who have insurance have to ask their health person to register with the insurance company when they are already registered with someone else.

Medavie Blue Cross I been fighting with Medavie Blue Cross for over a year now

I been fighting with Medavie Blue Cross for over a year now. They denied my claim for short disability once again even though I sent them all medical documents. My doctor said I can't work right now, but they don't care. I have multiple health conditions and sent them diagnostics to prove it. I found a thyroid nodule and have surgery coming up on Dec. 2. They make me feel like I'm lying about my health conditions. They don't care about people's health, only saving money. They failed to accommodate me during my illness which is still ongoing. They sent me a denial letter which I enclosed. I want this resolved ASAP.

Medavie Blue Cross I was 32 weeks preggers when my OBGYN told me to stop working until my c-section

I was 32 weeks preggers when my OBGYN told me to stop working until my c-section. Medavie Blue Cross denied my short term disability claim, saying I asked for time off. This is not true, and they have no proof. I wanted to keep working, but my doc said it was not safe. I have a history of bleeding and miscarriage, and anxiety. I gave Medavie all my doctor's notes, but they still won't pay me. They won't explain why, and their agents lie. Medavie insures lots of my coworkers, and I started a group for people who also got denied. Medavie is a bad insurance company. They left me with no money and lots of stress. I'm scared for my baby.

Medavie Blue Cross My blue cross plan got cancelled and I was supposed to make my last payment on November 1

My blue cross plan got cancelled and I was supposed to make my last payment on November 1. The money comes out of my business account and I only transfer funds when I need to pay bills. I got charged $48 nsf fee because someone at Blue Cross didn't do their job and push a button. Also, I got charged $5 nsf for the monthly rental of my debit machine because Blue Cross wrongfully charged me on Dec. 1, 2021. I contacted the group administrator on December 3, and had several calls and emails with him, ***. I started calling Blue Cross directly before Christmas to get it resolved. I placed several calls to blue cross between mid December and January 5, 2022. On Friday, December 31, I called to ask if the transaction would be done before the end of day and notify that I would be incurring further NSF charges. I have also incurred an extra $12.50 to place a stop payment because the bank said that if I do not, I will be liable for all the blue cross related nsf fees if they decide to never reimburse me. I am up to $106 in related nsf fees, plus $12.50 for the stop payment due to a blue cross employee not doing their job. Blue Cross could not even fix their mistake before I end up charged more nsf fees. I find this unjust and unreasonable. I want reimbursement of all fees I have incurred due to blue cross charging my account when I was told they would no longer be charging for the discontinued policy after November 1. I am on ei and recovering from an illness. I should not be forced to pay for their mistake and laziness. I want a letter of apology to submit to my bank proving this is of no fault of my own. Your help is appreciated.

Medavie Blue Cross I just wanted to let y'all know that Medieve Blue Cross ain't all that great when it comes to filing insurance claims or getting advice from

I just wanted to let y'all know that Medieve Blue Cross ain't all that great when it comes to filing insurance claims or getting advice from them. I had a problem with my teeth and wanted to get them fixed, but braces were too expensive and I didn't want them anyway. So I went to *** and got a plan developed for me. I checked with Blue Cross before submitting a claim and they said it was covered. But when I submitted the claim, it got rejected twice. I called them up and they said the original agent made a mistake and they didn't cover the services I got. They didn't tell me this before and it wasn't in my policy or the app. I only found out when they tried to process the claim. I won't get the money back that I expected, but I'm not too bothered. But what if it was a lot more money or it was for my kid's surgery? I called Blue Cross to let them know my concerns and asked them to update my file. I also told my employer about it. So be careful when dealing with Blue Cross and get everything in writing. Thanks for reading.
