I purchased a United Car Care Platinum Warranty for $5,500 to protect my daughter’s 2012 Jeep Wrangler against major mechanical failures. The vehicle is now experiencing engine failure, with carbon buildup clearly a symptom of piston ring breakdown — not the cause.Despite complete maintenance records and ASE‑certified diagnostics, United Car Care has refused coverage, forcing us through endless hoops while searching for a loophole to deny responsibility. This is exactly the type of catastrophic repair the Platinum Warranty was sold to cover.Families should not have to fight this hard to receive the protection they paid for. I am documenting this case for regulators and consumer protection agencies, and I urge United Car Care to honor their contractual obligations.Transparency and accountability matter. Warranty companies should stand by their promises!
For months, they have requested that we do this, and we have complied diligently, but now they keep asking us to do other things, and they are hurting us and their reputation.
They are looking for a plausible loophole to get out of honoring the contract.
