TravelCenters of America Customer service

Hello Melanie Store Manager of TA #249 and TA Petro!

Hi there, My name is Seth McCart, and I am a customer writing you as a formal complaint this to inform you about a recent situation that occurred at TA#249 LOCATED AT 6901 Lake Park Belville Rd, Lake Park GA 31636 on Friday June 30, 2023 @ approximately 1937 hour. For reference check receipt #[protected].

My family and I were traveling home from a beach vacation when we stopped for gas, snacks, & drinks and a quick rest at your TA.

When I went to the restroom and used a standup urinal and immediately noticed it needed to be flushed. So I flushed the urinal and began urinating when the urinal started to overflow and started to soak my shoes and socks with urine water & splashed all over my legs on the front of my shins.

After walking out of the restroom I went to the front counter where there appeared to be only one cashier handline the counter, I later learned the cashier’s name was Lashonda. I politely informed Lashonda that there was a problem with the plumbing in the men’s restroom and I wanted to report it to a member of management or maintenance. Lashonda seemed very frustrated and aggravated that I was informing her of this information, and she said that “someone should be down soon”. About 10 mins or longer later, I stood right next to her while waiting for a member of management to report the plumbing issue where the toilet overflowed all over me. I had a couple of verbal interactions with Lashonda and it was very clear and apparent to me that she could have cared less about my concern with the toilet. Lashonda was very very rude, condescending with the way she spoke down to me and did not have any type of customer service skills whatsoever. It’s been a long time since I’ve had someone continuously be so disrespectful to me when I was a customer in a place of business filling up my gas tank, buying snacks and drinks for my 4 kids, and brining money into the establishment. Not one time did I say anything rude or ugly, or disrespectful to Lashonda, and only asked to speak to someone that could address the plumbing issues and it took forever for someone to finally come. I just did not want another customer to get urine water all over them the way that I did.

Finally, after a long wait, an employee named Marc came down and took my concern and he immediately tended to it and closed off the urinal completely so that it did not happen to anyone else. Marc also gave me your card and I advised him of Lashonda’s behavior, and he apologized for my experience. Marc was very nice and very professional. Then when I went to leave, my baby daughter wanted a lolli pop so we bought one more thing and that’s when I had an interaction with another cashier named Karlisha Slaughter and she was very nice and smiled at me and seemed to understand customer service well.

Just wanted you to be aware of your employee and how she is treating your customers. After the third interaction of her continuously taunting me with her rude words and just being ugly she handed me a receipt and I did quickly take the receipt out of her hand which I apologize for but I clearly stated to Lashonda that I did not need her to be rude to me when I was bringing a concern to her attention because I was the one that was “soaked in piss”.

Please let me know that you are able to talk with Lashonda and get her behavior documented. I’m sure that she is probably very rude to her fellow co-workers as well, and I am nearly positive that this isn’t the first complaint you’ve received on her.

TravelCenters of America Popeyes

I ordered the two-piece combo (dark meat) with coleslaw. I took it on faith that everything was there when I was handed the bag. I received breasts which I hate and threw away, and no coleslaw. I want a refund.

This was done today, May 29, 2023 AT 21:10.

THE COMPLAINT BOARD SAYS THERE IS CRITICAL INFORMATION MISSING. But this complaint is cut and dry, simple as that

Desired outcome: Complete refund, and for TA Travel Centers to make this right.

TravelCenters of America Customer service

TA Earle, AR. I witnessed an employee (last name Maddox) double charge a customer at the Pizza Hut register and it charged the customer twice for food but for some reason the order did not go through the system. Customer did not get his order. I further witnessed this employee tell the customer to contact his financial institution to resolve the double charge and demand the customer leave the premises.

This is not the first time I’ve witnessed rude behavior from employees at this location. As a truck driver, I will plan future trips to avoid this location altogether. And may exclude TA altogether in the future as this is not the only location I have seen poor employee behavior.

TravelCenters of America Gas pump #4 at the TA Center in Monroe Michigan

Hello, this afternoon at 4:10 est, I stopped at the TA Travel Center in Monroe Michigan. I put my card in the pump and placed the nozzle into my 2019 Ford Escape. I felt something wet on the back of my leg (I was wearing shorts) and noticed that the gas line from the pump had a slice in it and was spraying gasoline all over me and my car. I had only pumped the gas for maybe 10 seconds and realized this was happening, at that point my shoes and socks and the side of my car in the right rear wheel well and tire were soaked. I hung up the pump, which stopped the gas from spraying all over the place. I moved my car to another pump and began pumping there, I had my wife pump the gas while I ran inside and told the attendant who immediately went looking for her manager. I am not sure what happened after that because she just walked away from me. I got home and had to wash all of my clothes because it had apparently got my shorts and shirt as well.

Desired outcome: I never received an apology from the attendant, but I think she was pretty intent on finding the manager, and as of my typing this message to you, I am not sure if my clothes and shoes are damaged. My email is [protected]@gmail.com

TravelCenters of America Unable to withdraw cash advance because the store manager didn't know how

Last night, on February the 14th of 2023 this happened in the TA #245 located in 155 Hwy 138 Providence Rd, Denmark, TN [protected].
I loaded diesel and requested cash advance withdrawal at the pump prompt. Went into the store to get it but when I show my CDL to the store clerk he told me he only knows how to withdraw cash advance from SCANNABLE CDL'S licenses.
Even when my CDL isn't one with a code to scan I've been able to perfectly withdraw cash advance from other TA locations (and Petro stopping centers locations as well). I informed the store clerk about this to which the answer I got was "Well I don't know how they do it in other TA's but in this one I can't give you your cash advance".
I asked to speak with the store manager to which the clerk replied that he was in fact the manager.

Desired outcome: I would like to know for sure if in the future I'll be able to get my cash advance withdrawal from this store, or any store even if my CDL has no code to be scanned.

February 15th 2023 in 3900 Petro Road, West Memphis, AR 72301 at 00:30 hrs.

Went to the store to buy some things using my UltraONE points. Store clerk scanned the items, told me the total and I input that total into my app in order to pay with points. Store clerk scanned the barcode from my cellphone but after several tries she told me she really didn't knew how to collect from the app. Told me the transaction didn't go through so I couldn't get what I was buying because technically I hadn't pay for it. But she did indeed took my points.

It is unacceptable that the employee can just say "I don't know how to do it" and you get no service. Just because of that. It is not my problem that employees are not being trained properly.

Some guy from this business somehow got my number and started spamming me with inappropriate images from the workplace

TravelCenters of America harassed by employee

A employee of this company keeps texting me inappropriate images wearing this company's uniform. Very very disturbing I have no idea what to think of it. I tried to contact the store involved but they wont pic up. So my next plan is to try and get online attention. Hopefully this will put alittle fire under there seat. I would recommend NEVER going there.
