Thomas Restoration

Thomas Restoration is like the bomb at fixing water damage. They treated us like fam and got our place looking fresh again. I def recommend using them!

On the 4th of April , I got a bill for $900 from Thomas Restoration. They told us that our home insurance would cover all the costs and damages. However, we feel like they didn't do anything for us. They left humidifiers in our home for two days without telling us that they would charge us for it. Thomas Restoration assured us that we shouldn't worry about any charges and that they would take care of everything. They even said that they would get the charges covered by our home insurance. We signed some documents while we were distressed and confused, not knowing that all the information they gave us was false. They kept telling us that they would take care of everything, but all they did was leave some humidifiers in our home. We feel like they overcharged us and took advantage of us. Please help us resolve this matter. We tried calling the owner, but he didn't want to help us. He said that we were lucky that they didn't charge us more.

No stars for Thomas Restoration. Terrible experience, don't recommend. They seemed like they were trying to scam me out of money. My laundry room flooded and water spilled from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. I called them on July 3rd, a four-day weekend, and they arrived that evening. They used their moisture sensor and said it just needed to dry out. I told them I didn't know who my homeowner insurance was but I got it through KB Home. I said I would use my insurance but had to wait until Tuesday to find out who I was insured with. They said I had to sign a cash deal contract for *** dollars to leave their equipment. They said it would be voided once I got my insurance information. They kept saying it didn't look bad and I wouldn't need to use my insurance. On Sunday, they came back and said it would be dry in one more day. They kept telling me not to use my insurance and that I'd pay more out of pocket if I did. I called another company for a second opinion on Monday. They said Thomas Restoration was using the wrong size air movers and recommended removing the tile and baseboards. They found out who my insurance was and I started a claim. I told Thomas Restoration I no longer wanted to do business with them. They said I owed them *** dollars. I gave their supervisor my insurance information. Two months later, I got a letter from a collection group saying I owed them over *** dollars. I called their supervisor and they said they couldn't reach my insurance agent, which was a lie. My insurance agent asked for an itemized invoice and they couldn't produce any documents.
