Empire Renovation

I had Empire Renovation, Inc. replace my old roof with a shiny new one. Unfortunately, the new roof started leaking and caused damage to my ceiling. I reached out to them multiple times to fix the issue, but they haven't been responsive. It's been quite a headache dealing with them, so I would recommend hiring someone else for your roofing needs. I am currently in the process of taking legal action against them.

Empire Renovation took the time to understand the problems I was having with my roof, and after the initial installation, when I noticed that I still had an issue, they went above and beyond to help resolve my problem. Their communication is excellent and the guys did a great job tending to my room to my satisfaction.

I hired them to represent me in filing a claim on my behalf. When my insurance approved it, they didn't contact me to explain what was approved, until I contacted them after I received a letter from my insurance. Due to the delay in communication and miscommunications, the job couldn't be started before the winter weather kicked in. My insurance approved an extension until weather improves. But Empire Renovation is demanding for me to sign off the check, which is still in their possession, before starting the job. But according to their paperwork, 1st payment installment is due when material is dropped to the site. They wanted to take 25% of the claim amount from the initial check and give me the balance, which I will give back to them when weather improves and they come to do the job. It didn't make any sense, so, I refused to sign the check, until they are ready to do the job. They resorted to threatening me instead of apologizing for failing me. It's clear customer satisfaction is not their priority like in most companies, including mine. The 25% they are asking for is only when I use another contractor. But in this case, they are doing the job and the whole claim amount is theirs. Apparently they wanted to take the money and disappear. I just want my job done professionally when it's time, and I believe prompt and honest communication is very essential in any business. Thank you.
