Temu review: Temu service and false advertising no refunds

On August 28 2026 I received an order I made with Temu which the bag was ripped and torn! Items were missing from my order and several items damaged. I contacted Temu both on chat and on the phone. Spent 3 hours going through the list of missing items damaged items and items with missing parts returning items not as advertised on the website! I was promised a pick up due to my disability for the returns those items damaged and missing parts they didn’t want back. The missing items they said they will escalate it were now in September 18th and still nothing has been done! Nor has the pick up for the items! Since then I have contacted Temu in a daily basis at times and discovered they rep had put everything as missing items not stated them under each heading which we went through! I called again this time they said they could not see the lists of missing items or missing parts or damaged items again spent another 5 hours (3 hours and 2 hours ) on two seperate calls. I have supervisors not return calls, I have had emails from the escalation team saying this is not canada website call this number which turns out to be temu customer service so you are back to square one! Honestly I have since August spent over 50 hours of logged calls on this matter still nothing refunds still no support just being pushed from one department to another! Even the 2.26 printing costs I incurred for printing labels which was agreed to. Refunded to my original method of payment is still outstanding this was to be refunded to my original payment since August. This order was agreed to be picked up from my home due to disability and lack of transport instead of being dropped off at their location ! This has not been done.. each person I talked to gives you different stories and I hate it when they are so condescending yet they do not live up to the customer service standards .. consumer protection laws on temu should be applied for misrepresentation of items on their website charging amounts which were not agreed to, not refunding returns or refunding missing items, not refunding ding damaged items not refunding items with missing parts and charging more than the order amount!. To give you an example received a metal planter stand this was rusty in the box ! I told about this sent them pictures the offer was keep it and we will refund you $6.10 fior a product costinng more than $30 where is the maths in that! Another example the solar light bulbs shown as big bulbs when they arrive they were only 1 inch ! The bracelets packaging on the website shows them presentable to give as gifts on arrival they are in plastic bags with no labels or presentation card as advertised. A jacket with one shoulder sleeve longer than the other was offered to keep it I refused as this is not what I paid for not is it suitable for a charity shop.. the quality and manufacturing is lacking in some of their products especially clothing! As for missing items they refused to refund stating they left the warehouse .. so what ? If I didn’t get them I shouldn’t be paying for them especially as I have proof that the package was torn and ripped ! Temu has offered no solution and instead created a mess for me headaches, stress and financial losses.. needless to say giving one star is not my number ZERO STARS is what I would give and a kick in the butt as I will not be ordering anything from this company ever again! I think this company is a good one for Marketplace TV consumer programme to investigate this and other customers who have been ripped off ! All I can say is buyer beware !
