Ive been a long time user of Temu. I guess you might say its my obsession. I dont mind the delays, its expected. Even Amazon no longer seems to try hard to deliver the next day if you are a member.
Ive only had one really bad experience with customer support. Generally speaking the Support Bot is decent. The Bot will handle it unless a human intervention is insisted upon, of the Bot just cant help. Most of the time I get a credit back in my account and more often then not, told to just keep whatever it is Im complaining about. So good there.
What really makes mad, and its happens every single day, is thier greedy, unscruplous, and overwhelming use of bait and switch. You will login and might see a banner or a screen telling you amazing you are. And that as a result you have been gifted 1, 2, 3, 4 free gifts. Then a spinner shows up as if you didnt win anything yet. And its pretty obvious that everyone wins the spinner. So, you will go to pick your winning "free items". And thats where the switch takes place, without any warning or honesty from Temu.
Immediately they might offer you 1 or 2 extra items now at 100% off. Buyer beware!
1. Most of the time, that is a 100% credit AFTER you complete the purchase. I've never completed one because it's just to scammy. If you want to award me something award me damn, it. I spend a lot on Temu. I mean a lot. Probably more than I ever spent with Amazon.
2. Those free items... well they are NOT free either. You have to:"earn" enough credit to "make" them free. Let's say it shows you that you have earned 95%, or a dollar amount applied against your free items. You must now purchase the additional amount, plus meet any minimum purchase limits. And let me tell you, I try and try and can NEVER get to 100% so with a usual timer, I miss out every single time. I have never ever gotten the free stuff, ever.
3. Farmland, a "game" inside of Temu is another bait and switch. I've supposedly been close with needing to purchase $3 in order to get my winning free items. That $3 has been there for months now and hasn't moved one bit no matter how many things I order!
It's clear that Temu has a marketing plan that means take your buyers, especially your best ones, claim they are great and offer free stuff and then seconds later say, oh well it's not free after all and you have 30 minutes to make purchases to get the free stuff. And once in one of those screens, try getting out of them, its click hell.
Recommendation: Im about to go back to Amazon as Im sick and tired of the bait and switch game that Temu seems to love, my "preferred Temu customers", yeah right.
