Takealot Wrong item delivered, definitely not the item that was purchased

In the last two years, I have purchased eight items from takealot and out of the eight items, I have returned eight items as the pictures of the items purchased and the items that were delivered are definitely not the same. I have attached a screen shot of the returns done in the past two years. The last item purchased was a dashcam which I have been searching for for a long time as I have had that same dashcam for the last six or seven years but it has finally given up now. The camera that that I received is totally different to the one advertised and that was the one that I have been searching for. I am really fed up with this attitude of theirs whereby they say that they are not the suppliers, they only distribute the items, well... They should be checking that the item picture and the item that they are about to "distribute" are the same thing. Very, very disappointed with the takealot service, or lack of service.

Takealot Order that keeps on changing

Good day,

I have ordered and paid for an Item on the 27th of November and was told that the Shipment date is the 10th of December and that it will be delivered on the 15th of December, Now when I had a look the tracking, the Shipping date has moved to the 23rd of December and the Delivery date to the 28th of December! I specifically checked the arrival date before ordering as this is a christmas gift for my son! Now looking at it, this gift will not be delivered before then, I am extremely frustrated and unhappy about this, if I knew you guys were going to keep on moving the shipping date and delivery date I would of made use of another online shopping website.

I'm very unhappy about this.

Takealot Canyon smartwatch

I bought this watch on the 30 for November 2020 the watch was working fine until the battery died. I charged it and it never connect it with the app on my phone. All I am asking for is to have another watch please. I did log a call with the Techinacal department but they decline saying there is nothing wrong with the watch. Can you please assist as this matter is frustrating. I paid for it

Takealot 600watt nutribullet

Above delivered to a incorrect address, this resolved in 4 days. The box was opened. The correct address is clear on the said box. After a query by Sms the said was delivered to the correct building (apartment) The 600watt original normally comes with a grinder. Please contact me regarding the abovementioned product. Your response would be greatly helpful.

Takealot Mivision 4k action camera h9r

I got the Action Camera on 28 Aug 2020.
The camera has a 12 month warranty.
Today I plugged it in and the place where you put the charger in broke off and now it is inside the Action Camera shaking around. Please can you get back to me on what I must do to get a new camera or get a refund? The Action Camera had been giving me problems for a while before with the charging port.
Otherwise the Action Camera was perfect thank you. Just please can you get back to me it was really useful to me. Thank you.

Takealot Order no: [protected]

I am beyond dissatisfied with the service from takealot. My order was supposed to be delivered on wednesday, but was not; received an sms to say it could not be delivered and they would reschedule for thursday. Same thing on thursday. Order could not be delivered and rescheduled for friday. I have phoned numerous times and spoken to numerous customer care agents. They each assured me it would be deliver on the day I spoke to them. But no delivery. Funny thing is... I haven't received one phone call from the courier company you have used! Terrible service!

Takealot Film glass protection

I have received a cracked screen protector and I'm not happy at all. Please send another one or send please refund me as soon as possible. This is the first time this happens to me with your company and I understand that mistakes can be made. So I ask nicely to please correct the mistake as soon as possible.

Takealot Non delivery of order number #[protected]

I got an sms from you stating the above order would be delivered on Sunday 29 November before 5pm. No delivery on since that date. Please inform me when you intend to deliver. Your tracking system shows it was shipped but despite my being at home on both Sunday and Monday, no delivery was done. I need these items urgently now as they were intended to be birthday gifts later this week

Takealot Laptop cancelled, email says I cancelled. But it's because they listed the wrong price!!!

Paid for 2 laptops, confirmed. Then I get an email saying I cancelled the order. The laptops, both were r 3200 together. And when I checked again they are listed as r17000 and more each! That rand they made a mistake now my son doesn't get what he wanted. That's fraud

Takealot Cell phone

I ordered my stuff on the 20th November 2020 and my order ought to have been delivered on the 27th November 2020 before 17:00 but it hasn't. When tracking it, it only shows me that its movement was last tracked on the 24th of November at Kempton Park. There hasn't been any update ever since and I'm still impatiently waiting for it. Please resolve this matter ASAP

Takealot Goods not delivered: complaint #80166384

Goods I ordered from Takealot had a delivery due date of 27/11/2020.  I track my Takealot deliveries via the Takealot app.

According to the Takealot app my parcel, order #80166384, was supposedly delivered on 27/11/2020 and signed for by myself.  NOTE: Not only was the parcel never delivered to my house, it is impossible that I signed for the parcel, because at the supposed time of delivery I was not at home.

I phoned Takealot on 27/11/2020 at 10h55 to lodge this complaint.  Charne escalated the complaint and stated she would provide me with feedback.  She did not and nothing was done re my complaint.
So, once again I phoned on 27/11/2020 at 16h11, spoke to Kieran van Rooyen who assured me my goods would be delivered to my house on 27/11/2020 no later than 19h00.  Once again, Takealot failed to perform according to the agreed terms.

Either the driver unlawfully enriched themselves with my goods while logging my parcel as being received by the purchaser (me) or the driver erroneously delivered my goods at an incorrect delivery address or the driver ignorantly failed to deliver my parcel, the parcel lost in transit, yet logged the parcel as being delivered and received.
(I know for a fact the Takealot delivery system allows for the driver to log a delivery as received by the purchaser without it being delivered - with one of my previous orders, the driver logged my parcel as received by me before he even arrived at my house.  The driver, however, phoned me and told me not to be concerned if I see the system showing my goods as received, he updated it because he was running late, after 5pm.)

Whatever the Takealot delivery system failure may be, the client should NEVER have to carry any liability or suffer undue delay because of Takealot's failed delivery process. I have.

I am legally entitled to the goods I paid for. Period. Takealot should either deliver my goods or refund my money.

We have therefore sent one of our delivery drivers to collect the accessories as soon as possible. We ask that you kindly ensure you are available and that you have neatly packaged the accessories for when we collect it.

Should you not be available for collection or would like to specify a preferred collection date for our couriers to arrive, please respond to this e-mail with the date. Should we not get a response to this e-mail or we are not able to collect the accessories within 3 days we will be canceling your return request.

No unacceptable, takealot said they will pick up the remote in the following 3 days which they never did which resulted in the supplier just sending it back.
Which I find extremely arrogant. As if they need the remote to fix it. What if the dog ate the remote? Is the warranty void? Ridiculous.
Anyway, if takealot is gonna continue playing games. I probably will have to take legal action.
You are going back on your word if you send the TV to the supplier again, you stated in a previous email that you would credit it after it arrives at takealot.
You also promised that you would give this issue the highest priority.
At this point, I can't trust anything said in previous emails.

To summarize, 40+ days into the progress and takealot want to blame this on a remote missing which they said they would pick up and never did. Why send the TV to the supplier in the first place, If the remote must be present?

I hope takealot do as said in previous emails. (We talked about your 21-day policy)

Takealot Order not delivered

Placed and paid for sneeze guard and foldable table 01/11 2020. Delivery scheduled for 11/11/2020. Order not delivered called call centre 12/11/2020. Nam responded. 16/11/2020 no respond order changed status to delivered I called Tammy responded talking to courier. 20th Tammy, Manfred and Lunga also responded. Order not received/ resolved. Courier is fast and furious never called or reach delivery address.

Takealot Unethical behaviour

Good day Takealot, your offices contacted me from the number 012 941 0424 yesterday afternoon 19th of November 2020. I've returned the call today where the employee confirm telephonically that my order number 79546274 is ready for collection at Wonder boom Junction Pretoria. I drove from Mountain view about 10k to find out that it is not available. I wish to have your office deliver my product, please. I think it's justifiable as I've wasted time and money by wrong communication. The employee did say she will speak with her manager to arrange delivery. This complaint is to be sure that this does take place if possible witch will be greatly appreciated.

Takealot Samsung tv return request

Takealot!

How more difficult must processing a faulty return get before your team actually bloody puts in effort to help?

The 12th october I log a faulty return.

- your team schedule a pick up, and in the log before they picked up, I noted I do not have the box as I threw it away. We don't clutter and store empty boxes. I dont own a warehouse!
- they collect, but tell me I need original box. Here I started getting agitated cause this was specified.
- they come back the next day, and I neatly packed all the things in a bag with some accessories; the remote, hdmi, and adapter.

The 28th came, I check online, a missing item...
Nobody bloody calls and says, "hi sir, we miss an item!" I had to smell and wait minutes on a call to reach them, for clarity."
Here I explained that I threw this"tv stand" away cause I mounted the tv.
If I don't need something, I dispose of it! Again, I do not pile up unnecessary clutter! Why arent you questioning me about the missing rca video/ audio cable? That I did not add to the bag either!

I bought 3 of theses exact same items, and got rid of the things I do not need!

Trying to reason with these people that if they can just fix my tv, return it, I will be grateful! No! A small item like the stand is stopping them from fixing a tv that makes a scratching noises and continuously shoots off!

How the hell is a stand going to solve this problem?
I then asked would it not be possible to just replace the tv and keep the stands that come with this!

No! Everybody is saying no!

I have bought in the same year a variety of electronic equipment for my business! Which cost me more than 50k in total!
And one bloody stand for a tv is holding up a fixing of the tv!

I need the tv back in working condition! Keep the stand! Just return the exact same things I gave you with a working tv!

After this, never will I buy an electronic device from your online store! Your customer service is [censored], no reason, no effort to help, just always a no!

Takealot My order not yet received but status says paid and item arriving today and give a link to follow

The order was received from what ever collection site where I do not know as I live here in port Shepstone I don't have a near by collection site, the website shows port Elizabeth and shows that the are many collection points there, what about me living here in port Shepstone, now if they don't deliver my order how can I received the order coz I was expecting them to deliver here in my place where I live.. please phone me, when I check in the website nothing appears about the order, I have a barcode but they is no option that uses barcode in that website to track order..

My number [protected] I am Simphiwe khowa, I live near thandumntwana creach opposite, the can also go mfihlo guest house and drop my parcel the if they can find me here, I will not be able to afford going to the far away pick up point in port Elizabeth.

Takealot Paid order lost but I was not informed at all

My parcel, order number 78630461, was not delivered on the said date of delivery, which is the 3rd of November 2020.
Takealot did not even bother to send a message or call me to update me what the problem is. I had to take the effort myself and call from one number to another until I had to discover that my parcel was lost at the Cape Town warehouse. How so? Are there no policy and procedures in place? Are client parcels not guarded and taken care of? I am busy with an urgent project I need that parcel as in yesterday.
The level of service is extremely poor and very concerning, this will definitely be my last use of placing orders with takealot or referring anyone to it. I request urgent attention to my matter, I cannot wait for more days for another replacement that will be lost again at the warehouse. I suggest an immediate refund be paid back to me so I can purchase the product from a much more trusted and reliable store.
This is unacceptable and very poor service especially from a well known company like takealot!

Takealot Order has been delayed

I am very dissapointed in take alot. Never using this app again. Sad thing is it was my first time using it and had a very bad experience. I placed an order on the 14 October and ever since then i've been getting a sms saying "Your takealot order has been delayed". It's either they "cannot" locate my address, but not once did the driver call me to just maybe verify. Yesterday it was said he was there, but no one was home to receive the parcel, but yet again no one called me. Today I got a message again saying it was delayed and I called again! Consultant says he thinks they don't do my area.. but yet again no one called me!

Pissed off customer! I don't recommend Takealot!
