My name is Carl Miller my wife and I share a Starbucks app. Terribel customer service.
I am a nurse and was working at Desert Parkway Hospital. We used my phone to make an order with the app. The order was 40 dollars and change. When we realized there was no delivery option and called the store. The order was canceled before they started making it. The person at the store told my peer that the store could not refund the charge. He gave me a number to call. I called it and was repeatedly told even after saying this that I had to call and wake up my wife before they would speak to me.
Multiple people I spoke with would only give a first name and no way to identify who I spoke with. I called my wife and woke her up to be on the call. I was repeatedly told I could get a refund in 7 to 14 days.
I said that was not appropriate, the order was never filled. I was transferred and told the amount was too much to do an immediate refund. I reached another supervisor who also would not give their name they said for safety?
I was told, they would record the call. I said I would also and was told they would not speak to me if I was recording but I had to allow them to record me to speak to them and I said that was unfair. Starbucks supervisor hung up on me.
I called back and again insisted on a refund and was told no one could help me or understand why this was a problem for me. They told me they would refund the charge and it takes 7-14 days. We called the Credit Card to dispute the charge.
This is not how Starbucks treats customers. I did get irritated, I was not shouting, cursing threatening but no one would help me fairly of even identify themselves to me. These people need coaching. Starbucks owes my wife, myself and my peers an apology.
I doubt the people I spoke to will ever apologize or even care about me.
Recommendation: Never use their app - Do Not Expect cust service to help
