SportsDirect.com Great customer service

Me and my Husband called into Sport Direct Crown Point Denton Manchester after visiting 3 other local Sports Direct trying to get a certain jacket, unfortunately none had it in stock in the size we needed. The size we needed was not on the rail but a chap called Tom assisted by us by checking the availability in all the other stores, no other store offered us this service, luckily a delivery had just arrived at Crown Point which had the size we needed. Many thanks for your assistance Tom as it saved us travelling to other stores, its just a shame the other stores weren't as helpful as you

I have ordered many times from overseas and always received my orders within7 days. Though UK size are a bit different and I had a couple of surprised, this was more my fault than theirs. Prices are attractive and some products are exclusive to the site.

SportsDirect.com No response to my question

Opened up my parcel ordered from sports direct.It contained two polo shirts Both had ?5 sale tags on although I was charged ?6 and ?5.25.One of these shirts was bundled up in the parcel, not in a plastic bag and smelling of damp. Customer care had some excuse about the prices, but after two requests to answer my inquiry regarding smelly unpackaged shirt. I told them that I had washed it and kept as it's too much bother to send it back.The last I heard was some silly member of staff asking for an image of shirt. I said what was the point after it had been washed. Still waiting for answer. Very poor customer care.

We all like a bargain, don't we? We all like a good quality bargain, yes? Well I've shopped at Sportsdirect a few times now and have found their prices second to none. Now some of you will say. Ah! Sportsdirect is only for youngsters, it is all trainers and them tracksuit thingies. You know them stripey (druggy) trousers. Yes they do do them and they also do do the stripey tops to match, if that's what floats your boat. They also do (or do do, if you prefer) a whole range of apparel, yes good clothes for everyone from eighteen to eighty, or even nineteen to ninety, and those among us who are, walkers, joggers, runners, cyclists, swimmers, skiers, boxers, etc, etc, etc...

In my last and fairly recent order I purchased several "Slazenger" brand T shirts, these were priced at between ?2.00 to ?3.00 each. The quality of these is excellent, made of a good material and they fit like a glove. No, no, they fit like a well tailored T shirt. Phew! That was close, you want gloves to fit like, er gloves, and I expect the ones they sell do, or even do do.

The only negative points I would raise about Sportsdirect are, online delivery is charged at ?3.99 on orders under ?100.00 (would be nice if they could offer free delivery to one's (posh eh!) nearest store). Also their stores are so full of stock, you can struggle to find what you want but apart from that they are, very, very good.

I bought a pair of walking boots on 21st may. They were too small so returned on 6th June which you have confirmed you have received them back.
Now on the 11th June, I get an email that says my order is cancelled, no money will be taken. WELL, you already have the money back in May. I would like a refund please

I placed an order on the 16th May 2025. 5 items- only 2 were delivered. I have emailed Sportdirect several times to answer. I have tried to use the webchat multiple times and it says that the queue is too long and they log me off. I can't get in touch with anyone!

SportsDirect.com Sports direct lack of customer service.

I want to return some shoes and it's so hard to do anyone would think they don't want you to return anything. There's no helpline to call the website can't find my order so I can't even initiate the return process. And because I've ordered them online I can't return them to any of their stores that's their policy. It's very inconvenient. I also don't have to means to print a label so how would I be able to put the address on it to send it.

SportsDirect.com I have not been paid for my returns

I received an email confirmation from Sports Direct Saturday 26 April confirming that my returns were on the way to Sports Direct. The Evri parcel details confirm that I should contact the retailer for any further information but there is no way of doing so. I still have not received any further email correspondence and there is no way of getting in touch with customer support. I will never order from Sports Direct again. The service is appalling.

Hi All,
this is not a complaint (yet). Im just lost and I dont know where else to look for a help. I have returned an item ( sport t- shirt) in the middle of December through the Parcel Connect. In their last email dated 20/02/2025 they have advised me that an item was return to the sender and no money back in my account. Can you please advise me how can I go about claim my money back?

SportsDirect.com Refund

I placed an order on 2nd December 2024 Order ref sd40000117899368. From that order, I did not receive one of the shoes (product Code - 210341/40/255) which I was told was in process and after many conversations about it being in the warehouse was told it wasn't available and finally got a refund for it in February 2025. I returned the second product (product code 270826/03/240) and am still arguing with customer representatives to get a refund. I am tired of having to explain the same story repeatedly and just want my refund. They acknowledge that it was mailed but tell me it hasn't reached their depot. This is not my issue I have mailed it and have proof of this.

Once an order is placed, the first thing we suggest is contacting SportsDirect.com support representatives using their provided official communication features. Ask them for a confirmation address change for proof. In the case of there not being a proper confirmation change, there is a possibility of background issues so canceling the order and placing a new order can be the best course of action. Document the exchanges made for backups.

SportsDirect.com Trainers nike defyallday sn10. Style 131072 (white)

Purchased trainers on 9th December 2024.
Used once in damp conditions, right trainer leaked water through sole, not worn since.
Returned trainers to Southampton store beginning January, supervisor employee No 579457 refused to exchange or replace because he could not see where dampness entering.
I stated cannot replicate by holding the trainer the movement of sole when walking with continual bending which could open-up a small void where water could enter or possibly a small air hole, trainer has a quality issue.
Disappointed with a response from supervisor saying that i must have walked through a puddle and water entering from sides above sole which is totally incorrect, dampness is under the sole of my foot and i certainly never walked through any puddles.
Have purchased many trainers from Sports Direct over the years and never had a problem until now, disappointed with after sales attitude and service.

SportsDirect.com Faulty football shirt

REFERENCE: Sports Direct SD40000117638708 - Adidas football shirt

I purchased a Adidas football shirt from Sports Direct. At the point of purchase I paid £85 plus P&P.

The football shirt is a Bayern Munich shirt from the German league. The players name is always at the bottom of the shirt. The team is located at top of shirt and number is central. They have printed the name of the player in between the team name and number, which is totally wrong, it has the wrong font and is also the wrong colour. I have emailed them a few times and they have fobbed us off by saying they have done nothing wrong, even though I pointed out that it was not according to the league. I provided them with a picture of the shirt they gave and a picture of what it should look like and still they have ignored my claim and the shirt is basically no good.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Sports Direct that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

As you are in breach of contract and I've owned the product for less than 14 days, I am within my statutory rights to ask for it to be refunded.

I await confirmation that you will provide the remedy set out above within 14 days of the date of this letter.

Claimed loss: £85 plus £4/99 P&P

SportsDirect.com No option but to pay extra postage charges for retailers online order errors.

I never received the email or text message for order confirmation when I made the order!
1) £4.99 to return the order collected from Holloway Road at the higher price (incorrectly charged).
2) £4.99 to remake the order and buy at the price I wanted – delivered to my home address.
Sports Direct charge for everything in terms of delivery and returns even on store collection for an online order. Even when there is an error, real person to person customer support is non-existent.
I would like this money - £9.98 - returned to my card used for payment.
This does not compensate for the time spent collecting order from my local store and then to the flagship store in central London to try to rectify the situation. They cannot help with any on line orders.

Claimed loss: £10 at minimum.

Desired outcome: A personal phone call or email where a real customer service person has actually read my email and supportive evidence and acknowledged the problem. A refund and some other credit to compensate for time and energy lost.

SportsDirect.com Order not received delivered to neighbour incorrectly and I never got the parcel from the neighbour

I ordered some items back in November order no. sd40000116789910
The items initially were delivered to 53 carlisle way SS13 3RF NOT 63 (me)
(these neighbours are known thieves and had previously done exactly the same thing before with one of my sports direct parcels, they denied receiving it
I contacted courier even spoke to the driver who confirmed they did take collection
eventually sports direct refunded me and I lost out on sale items as they were no longer available once o got refund
I re ordered I was assured by sports direct and evri this would not happen again)

so with regards to my order stated above, this was indeed once again delivered to them, and once again delivery was denied
I reported again to evri and you guys
I had sale items and was worried they would be out of stock so I reordered the items at this point I have now paid 280 for a parcel ive yet to receive
the next day I speak to courier who confirms they took it I insist its delivered to my house this time which it finally was
I am still yet to have a refund for the first order and find myself arguing with your customer service, I will not be going to the police! these people are dangerous, you should be the one prosecuting they have stolen from sports direct twice now!

im tired of this ive disputed with pay pal and you told em items were delivered, yeah they were but not to me, I've filled in ya forms and spent hours speaking to your bots and cx adviser who constantly email the same rubbish and ignore my requests to open a complaint

I am sick and tired of being ignored and im still waiting over a month for my refund?

SportsDirect.com RACSIM FROM STAFF MEMBERS!

Dear Sports Direct,

Firstly, I would like to start off by saying how disappointed and disrespected i feel by the service i have been given at your east ham store.

I went into the east ham store about 7 weeks ago and had the worst experience i have every received in any retail store. I entered the store with a McDonalds drink with my head phones on. I was then physically pulled by the security on my left arm and was told to leave. I then asked him why i need to leave and he told me i am drinking a drink in the store. I asked him where i could leave my drink and also to not put hes hands on me he then started to be very aggressive in hes tone of voice and made me feel very intimidated. He then asked me to leave which i was very confused on why as i haven't done anything wrong so I asked to speak to a manager. He then laughed at me and told me there is no one here to see me which made me feel very helpless. I then kindly asked one of the sports direct staff to call a manager who then told me that he is busy so wont be able to help me. I waited out the entrance door for a manager to come but in the mean time i was told by your security guard to "shut the f*** up, you stupid black c***" now far as im aware i do not expect my race to play apart in any customer experience. I then asked him to give me hes name and to get a manager, which he refused to do and told me that hes not racist as hes wife is black. Now i do not appropriate any white person putting negativity on my race. I was absolutely humiliated and felt very helpless. A manager finally came over and i tried explaining the situation to him but he didn't really sound bothered and looked at him like this has happened before. The security guard was then asked to move away from me while i told him what happened as he was very rude and seemed to find it funny. I asked the manager for the customer service number and he told me there isnt one so i left feeling very upset then i asked for hes name which he refused to give me. I then called ***200 which i spent over an hour on the phone trying to get hold of someone which was very unhelpful. I expressed how upset i was to the the receptionist on the phone and told her what happen which she was very apologetic about and she said she would put me through to someone. Which was a waste of time as 7 weeks later i still have not heard anything. WHICH I AM Absolutely DISCUSSED by. I have returned everything that i own from sports direct and would NEVER shop there again. I am actually a fashion mens youtuber so i am planning on sharing this experience as i cant believe this has happened to me. Knowing that you have amazing black role models supporting your brand such as Anthony, Little mix ect but i can be racially attacked by your staff? I have made any tweets yet but i will be making my followers aware of this and want to know how sports direct are going to deal with this?

We strive to achieve the highest levels of service and it is of great concern to us when these levels are not met, like in this instance. Our standards have evidently not been met and this is not the level of service we would wish any customer to receive.

We expect the highest standard of the customer service from all of our employees and were very sorry to learn of this incident. I can confirm that the Security Company that we used at the time is no longer working in that store, we have a new Company covering them.

We are investigating this as a matter of priority and will be taking the appropriate steps. As a matter of course, we will ensure that employees of our store receive additional training, to avoid anything like this from happening again.

I would like to reassure you that your comments have been passed on to the Area Manager responsible as we take all feedback, whether positive or negative, very seriously. Our staff undergo a comprehensive training programme, which generally results in excellent levels of customer service and a strong relationship with our customers, but I can only apologise if we fell short in this instance.

SportsDirect.com Poor Customer Service and Misleading Information at Sports Direct

Sports Direct is a store that sells sports equipment and clothing. I recently had a bad experience with them when I tried to return some items that were not fit for purpose. I purchased the items four months ago and according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I have the right to request a repair or replacement of faulty goods within six months of purchase.

I went to my nearest store to try and get a replacement or refund, but the manager was not there and the staff told me that after 28 days from the date of purchase, I have no rights. This is incorrect and I was very disappointed. I decided to contact Sports Direct Customer Services via an online form and a member of the Customer Service team advised me to email photos of the faulty items and proof of purchase, which I did.

I had to wait almost two weeks for a reply, which advised me to take the goods to a store and speak to a manager. I went back to my nearest store, but the manager was not there again and a member of staff repeated that after 28 days from the date of purchase, I have no rights. I was very frustrated and decided to email Customer Services again. They replied that I should post the goods with Royal Mail recorded delivery. However, they did not state that they would cover the postage, which I think is unfair. As a customer, I should not have to pay for the return of faulty goods.

I feel that Sports Direct's response is designed to put customers off from returning bad quality goods. The staff provide misleading information about consumer rights, which is not acceptable. I would not recommend shopping at Sports Direct based on my experience.

SportsDirect.com SportsDirect: Outdated Payment Methods and Poor Customer Service

SportsDirect is a company that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I had a terrible experience with them recently. I ordered five items from their website, but when I received them, they were nothing like the description in the advert. I contacted customer service, and they initially said that they saw nothing wrong with the items. However, I sent them photos of the items I received and the photo on the advert, and they finally agreed to accept a return.

But here's the kicker: they would only pay back the return costs with a cheque! Can you believe it? In this day and age, who uses cheques anymore? I live in Holland, and a UK cheque is about as useful as toilet paper here. Nobody uses chequebooks on the continent anymore. I haven't used one in over 25 years!

I tried to explain to SportsDirect that the rest of the world uses things like credit cards, internet banking, and PayPal, where it's easy to transfer payments electronically. But they just didn't seem to get it. With an electronic payment, the money is actually paid back. With a cheque, there's always the possibility that someone won't be able to cash it.

Overall, I was very disappointed with SportsDirect. Their customer service was slow and unhelpful, and their payment methods are outdated and inconvenient. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work for this company. They're obviously bound hand and foot by the ripoff rules made by management. It's no wonder that Brexit Brits want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world. SportsDirect is just a cowboy company, so beware!

SportsDirect.com Misleading Product Description & Poor Customer Service from SportsDirect

I recently ordered a pair of Nike "FUNDAMENTAL" training gloves from SportsDirect's website, but unfortunately, I received the wrong pair (Nike "ESSENTIAL" gloves). I was pretty bummed out about it, but I decided to head over to my local SportsDirect store to return the item.

The store personnel who handled my query were pretty helpful and even agreed that the wrong item was sent to me. They suggested that SportsDirect.com should update the pictures and description of the item on their website as it is definitely misleading customers. I couldn't agree more!

To make matters worse, another member of staff informed me that the Nike "Fundamental" Training Gloves have now been replaced by the Nike "Essential" Training Gloves. If I had known that the "Fundamental" version had been replaced by the "Essential" range, I definitely wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase. It just makes sense, right? I could have saved myself the inconvenience.

But wait, there's more...

The total amount of my order was ?14.98 (including ?4.99 delivery), so I paid ?9.98 via PayPal, including a ?5 gift card. However, SportsDirect refunded me ?4.99 via PayPal and emailed me a ?5 voucher. Seriously, what the heck?

Considering they sent me the wrong item in the first place, SportsDirect should have at least refunded me in the same manner I originally paid (?9.98 via PayPal and ?5 gift card). It's just common courtesy, right?

Overall, I was pretty disappointed with SportsDirect's customer service. I definitely won't be ordering from there again and will be warning my family and friends too! It's been a while since I lodged my complaint, but I haven't received any response or email from SportsDirect.com. Not cool, guys.

SportsDirect.com SportsDirect Overcharged Me for Trainers - Disappointing Customer Service

I recently bought some trainers from SportsDirect's website and paid ?77.99 plus ?4.99 for postage. But when I opened the box, I found two tickets that clearly stated the price should have been ?57! I was pretty annoyed about this, so I contacted SportsDirect to ask for a refund of the ?20 overcharge.

Their response was not what I was hoping for. They basically said that the lower price on the tickets was meant for a retail store promotion, and that the prices on their website might be different due to promotions. They also said that I had agreed to the item pricing when I checked out and paid for my order, so they wouldn't issue me a refund for the price difference.

I was pretty disappointed with this response, and it made me realize that I probably shouldn't buy from SportsDirect again. It's a shame, because I've heard good things about their products, but I don't want to risk getting overcharged again. I also don't think I'll be shopping in any of their physical stores, either.

Overall, I think SportsDirect needs to do a better job of ensuring that the prices on their website match the prices in their stores. It's not fair to customers to charge them more than what an item is actually worth. I hope they take steps to fix this issue in the future.

SportsDirect.com Disappointing Service from SportsDirect.com: Missing Scooter, Poor Delivery, and No Response from Customer Service

I recently made an order on sportsdirect.com for a scooter and helmet. The process was smooth and the payment was deducted from my account right away. I was excited to receive my order and eagerly awaited the delivery date. However, when the delivery date arrived, only the helmet was delivered. I asked the Hermes driver about the scooter, but he had no information about it. I thought maybe it was going to be delivered later, so I didn't worry too much about it.

When I received the paperwork that came with the helmet, I noticed that it indicated that the scooter had already been delivered. This confused me, so I decided to email the [protected]@ email address to inquire about it. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any response for days. I sent a second email, but still no reply. I then tried to call the cs number, but the phone line was always busy. When I finally got through, the line went dead after a few seconds.

Days passed, and I still hadn't received any updates about my order. Then, I received a text message from Hermes saying that a parcel was going to be delivered. When I got home, I found out that my neighbor had signed for it. She mentioned that she told the driver that she would sign for the package but was not responsible for its condition. When I saw the parcel, I was shocked. It was completely battered and held together with brown sticky tape and sellotape. It looked terrible! I didn't even bother to check the state of the scooter. It was supposed to be a birthday present for my little boy, but I definitely won't be wrapping that up!

I tried to contact sportsdirect.com again through email and phone, but I still haven't received any response. I'm really disappointed with the service I received. It's frustrating to not be able to get any updates about my order or to get through to customer service. I hope they can improve their service in the future.

SportsDirect.com Terrible Customer Service Experience at SportsDirect: Refund Denied and No Response from Customer Service

I gotta say, my experience with SportsDirect was a real bummer. I went to the store and bought a pair of trainers, only to find out later that they were way cheaper online. I thought it would be no big deal to get the difference refunded, but boy was I wrong.

I tried calling the store for three whole hours and nobody picked up. So I decided to drive all the way there, which was 11 miles away, just to talk to the manager. But even then, they wouldn't give me the refund unless I had seen the online price before buying in store. That seemed pretty unfair to me, so I asked what else I could do.

I spent two hours in the store, trying to get through to their customer service center. I must have tried 33 times before I finally got through and waited in a 32-minute queue. When I finally spoke to someone, they said it was up to the manager to decide whether or not to give me the refund. I was hopeful, but the manager was too scared of getting fired to help me out.

I even emailed customer service, but I never got a reply or a call back, even when I asked for one. And to make matters worse, the customer service number was chargeable, so I ended up paying ?35 to my network provider just to deal with this mess.

I went back to the store for help, but they wouldn't give me the area manager's details because of "data protection." When I offered to leave my own details, they said they couldn't promise anything. And sure enough, I never heard back from anyone.

Honestly, I'm never going back to SportsDirect again. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. At least O2 was nice enough to refund me half of the charges I incurred, because they couldn't believe how bad it was.

SportsDirect.com Poor Customer Service and Missing Items: My Disappointing Experience with SportsDirect

I recently had a pretty bad experience with SportsDirect. I ordered 20 items and paid almost ?20 for delivery, but when my package arrived, I only received one item out of the 20 I ordered. I was pretty upset about this and decided to reach out to their customer service department. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was not great at all.

When I tried to talk to them about the issue, all I got was the same response over and over again. Eventually, I received an email saying that my ticket had been resolved, even though it hadn't been resolved at all. When I replied to the email to let them know that my issue still hadn't been resolved, I was told to just return the whole order and I would be refunded fully with the delivery charge. I asked to speak to a manager, but was ignored.

As someone who works in customer service myself, I was pretty disappointed with the way I was treated. I've never experienced anything like this before and I definitely didn't feel like a valued customer. I've ordered from SportsDirect around 1000 times before and all of my orders were usually around or more than ?300. It's pretty disrespectful to be treated this way after being such a loyal customer.

One of the staff members, Lauren, was particularly rude and unprofessional. I would never imagine my own staff talking to customers this way. I definitely won't be using SportsDirect again and I would recommend that others stay away as well. If there's anything wrong with your order, you won't be helped - you'll just be ignored.

To make matters worse, I now have to pay for postage to send the items back because they don't accept returns in-store for items that were bought online. It's just another frustrating aspect of this whole experience.

SportsDirect.com Thrilling and Heartfelt: A Review of The Kite Runner

The worst customer service experience I've ever had.
I wanted to get my son some new school shoes for the last three weeks of school but they didn't have them in his size in the store (the Banbury store and staff there were fantastic and very helpful- this review is not about them!).
I ordered the school shoes online for next day delivery with a few other bits. Got a notification from Evri on the day it was meant to be delivered that the parcel had been delayed and wouldn't be delivered that day but with no explanation. I contacted sportsdirect (you can only do this by email or webchat- for speed I used webchat but it was glitchy and kicked me out a few times after a lengthy chat witha very unhelpful AI) and they said they couldn't even chase it for a minimum of 48 hours after an update but that they would refund me the difference in price between next day and standard delivery.
After 48 hours with no update from Evri, no contact or refund from sportsdirect, I contacted sportdirect via their webchat again. They said all they could do was put in a investigation request which would take 48 hours (as this was over a weekend it took 4 days!).
I received no update or contact throughout this so after the 48hrs had passed I contacted sportsdirect again via their webchat. They said Evri had asked for another 48 hrs to investigate and that they could not refund until they had written confirmation that Evri had lost the parcel which they seam unable to get. So a week and a half after my parcel was meant to be delivered I've ended up having to buy the shoes else where, have no idea where the original parcel is or if it'll be delivered and have no idea if or when I'll receive a refund for the ?50 odd I'd spent on stuff I'll never receive.
