Spirit Halloween Horrible experience with false accusations

Yesterday we visited the store in 2703 route 541 suite 5 in Burlington Nj, we walked in was greeted by Kathi a cashier, we when about our business to look around my two teens left my side to go look around while I stayed with my 5 year old looking at the little kids section, I caught to my teens then this furious lady comes directly to my son and starts to tell him he broke a doll and her and her supervisor saw him and that he needs to pay for the broken doll or leave the store as she continues to tell my 14 year son all this stuff I tried telling her I was the mom she didn't listen to me until I loudly interrupted her and said you need to be talking to me, she then proceeds to tell me that her supervisor told her to come talk to my kid, I told her to take me to the supervisor, once we got the supervisor by the name of Andrew, the supervisor said he did not see my son do anything, that all he was trying to do is to protect his bonuses that the more people destroy the less he gets paid, I told him that if in fact he can show me proof my son made the doll stop working I would gladly pay for it, he said it was just kathi accusing my child, not him. I explain that we are A military family we don't go around breaking stuff. Kathi targeted my son because he was a teen and he was Hispanic it felt like, she was a horrible person to come and humiliate my son in front of other guests in the store, accusing him of something he did not do, my husband is a US Marine, our kids go around the world trying to over come the obstacles of adjusting to new places, and when they encounter people like Kathi and Andrew is very hard on their minds! Kathi and Andrew should not hold costumer service positions at your company, since they don't know how to treat people and the target teens and innocent kids when parents are not around!

Spirit Halloween Employee working at Westover in Greensboro wearing a ‘black lives matter tshirt and. Black lives matter face mask

I was shock to walk into the westover spirit halloween store in greensboro nc. The employee working behind the counter had on a all black lives matter t-shirt and a all black matters face mask. I felt discriminated against and will not shop at spirt halloween every again! Unprofessional and unacceptable. And then to have the nerve to tell me I was racist! All lives matter!

Spirit Halloween District manager

I am a new employee for this company. However I have never seen such disrespect degrading and poor management in my life. The district manager talk to the manager like a complete piece of trash every time the manager named Shirley that has been with your company for seven years told us as employees to do a job the district manager came behind her and said no do it another way. As the manager stated she would leave the district manager laughed in her face as she was crying her eyes out as we all watched in pain. I later quit and so did assistant manager and another employee. The district manager stated that there is nothing that Spirit can do because they are a consignment store but I feel like you should know since your name is on this company something needs to be done about this it is horrible

Spirit Halloween pop figure, limited edition, hocus pocus

I ordered my pop figurine as a present for a friend at the end of September 2019. A month had passed and the item never came. I called the customer service line and they told me that it was stuck in a processing center in New York. I waited another couple weeks and when the item still didn't arrive I called the call center back. I could not get through the wait times were very long. They option for a callback service which I subscribe to and they never called me back. I tried the service again and when they called me back there was no one on the other line and the line went dead. Then I continued over the next couple weeks to try to get a hold of them on their call center and also on their live chat option.Finally got through to them via email. They messaged me back telling me that for some reason they're shipping partner sent it back to their warehouse. They could not give me a reason why. I got a hold of a customer service representative on the website who gave me the same excuse and who could not tell me why it was sent back to them. They also had not issued me a refund nor have they tried to get a hold of me. They told me they will be issuing me a refund but they couldn't put it back on my credit card. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me to call the call center. I tried the call centre three more times and finally got through where the call didn't drop. The customer service representative issued me a refund on my credit card and was unsure as to why they were trying to send it out via check where I'd have to wait 14 business days for it. She also checked her warehouse and said she cannot re-issue me the item because they were sold out of stock. Again she could not tell me why the item was returned nor why no one had gotten a hold of me. There was no manager on the floor to speak to you and she advised I would have to email the speak to one. I am still waiting to find out why my item was returned to them and why they did not try to contact me and re-issue the item to me. Also when I check to see how much the refund was for it was for the wrong amount and they shortchanged me by about $14.

Spirit Halloween fog mashine

i bought a fog machine about a month ago but only opened it on halloween day.
Turns out it only works for about a minute and then turns off. It supposed to work continuously as long as plugged it but the red light keeps turning off. Also the remote only works when you're standing two feet or less from it so to to turn it back on you have to come outside and basically stand next to it the hole time turning it on and off.
So I didn't have fog this Halloween. I was extremely disappointed . What can be done to remedy the situation?

I just bought the exact same machine from Spirit of Halloween store in Tyson’s Corner VA. It is a piece of junk. Works for 1 minute then turns off and only comes back on by pressing the remote button. This is completely false advertising and I will be filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. What a ripoff!

Spirit Halloween customer service both in store + over phone=awful.

Basically, I was first in line for checkout but was standing a couple feet to the side of where the line was supposed to start-which wasn't marked. The cashier rung up my sister who was before me, but then told me that she'd have to ring up the people in line behind me first as they were in line, even though I'd been there several minutes longer than any of the customers in line, which she was aware of. I had to go to the back of the long line and wait, even though I was first. Very frustrating and downright irrational and rude.
I've now been trying to call to complain for quite a while and I'm convinced they don't have any customer service representatives at all with how long I've been on hold. I've been waiting for hours to speak to someone and nothing.
Completely ridiculous. If you're shopping at spirit Halloween, you'd better hope everything goes perfectly according to plan because customer service is NON-EXISTENT.

Spirit Halloween customer service

Hello I just dashed over to the northern Road location because they said they were open until 11 I chose it over the Bell Road location because it said I could get there two minutes quicker and it was almost closing time. It's the Night Before Halloween I just got off work and I needed to get a last-minute part of my nine-year-old daughter's Halloween costume for school tomorrow so after driving across town I arrived at the location 10 minutes to 11 at 1051 to be exact and the young lady greeted me at the door as another lady was walking in with me she stopped me told me I could not come in that the other lady could because she work there I asked when they close and she said that they just closed at 11 I said it's only 10 minutes till 11 and she shut the door in my face and locked it. But it's the Night Before Halloween and I got there at least nine minutes before closing time and she shut me out unbelievably upset right now

Spirit Halloween return policy

If a product is naught after the 18 and is bought the same day then people should be able to return it and get their money back. This is not fair to people who want a different costume and get one that is lower the the other costume. This is not right people pay for a costume and because they want to return it they should get their money back for atleast part of it instead of having to buy something they do not need. Please please please do something about this.

Spirit Halloween employee conduct and threatening myself and my husband

I've already spoken to representative tonight and I'm sure I'll speak to several more throughout the next couple of days. The representative I spoke to tonight was nothing but professional and understanding . However, The more I think about it and discussed it with my attorney, there is no question that the employee engaged in threatening conduct when he came around the counter and used profanity and said he would physically harm us. We have a case where we can sue the store and the employee and recover punitive damages to punish the store and the employee for his conduct. Alex Rodriguez from the Odenton store and all the other individuals in the store on Sunday night must be reprimanded and fired on top of the punitive damages that we will be seeking. If I have to file a police report and press charges I will do so, and I will get my attorney to take it to the next stage.

Spirit Halloween returns

I do NOT understand how a company which is open online 24/7 says I can not return merchandise I bought less than 24 hours ago and I have receipt but can not get a refund. I will NEVER shop there and that was my first experience with them! My kids had to settle due to low inventory then when they find what they wanted somewhere else I can't return. What if I hadn't bought it went to look for others somewhere else and then come back and costume is sold because if low inventory in first place.

Spirit Halloween return policy and customer service

I asked if I could return three costumes that added up to $250 bucks. The girl said yes. I asked if it had to be done within a certain time frame. She said before Halloween. So when I went to return the three costumes that didn't fit I walked into the store. There was a line up so I headed to the back to go to the bathroom. I was stopped by an employee who grabbed my 3 items that I paid for and was returning. I was told costumes were not allowed past the curtain. I explained that I paid for them and showed her my receipt. I said I was going to the bathroom. She told me I was not aloud to go to the bathroom on my own. So she followed me and stood outside the bathroom. This is extremely uncomfortable. I then line up to be told it's exchange only. Except the store is sold out of everything and there are no size small sub anything that would work. Also the store is a temporary pop up store. This leaves me with$250 to spend on Halloween stuff that doesn't work for me. This is absolutely ridiculous. To top it off the manager said it's consumers responsibility to read the receipt. I said how many time does that actually happen. I said you need to verbally tell customers. She said no we don't b CB it's in the receipt. I said a sign would be nice. She pointed at a tiny sign and I said that was not there last time. She said "ya it was bc I set up the store. Sorry but it's true". She never said when she set up the store bc it was not there when I was there last.

Spirit Halloween customer service

Ciara a employee of Spirit Halloween Racially profiled me and my coworkers purchasing Halloween make up for a event that we are currently doing. She asked me for ID which mistakenly I forgot to show. She did not sell it to me so my coworker bought the merchandise. The reason I am upset because she did not ask anyone else in front for their ID so what makes me different. My skin color and the way I dress. Something needs to be done with your staff and how you treat your customers.

Spirit Halloween damaged item

I downloaded a coupon on line for 20% discount on a single item and head out to look for a cat in a hat costume and was looking for a small/medium size and the only size available they had was 1 medium and 1 x large. I decided to get the medium and while trying on the costume I found damaged/tears on the skirt. I asked one of the customer services assistance who's name was John and he nicely informed me the manager was taking a 10 minute break and was going to see if they could help me in any way. We were waiting for more then 20 minutes. Finally the manager agreed to give a 10% discount. While I was waiting on the line to check out I was thinking I still have to take the costume to be repair and for the repair was going to be about $10.99. I spoke to the manager who was at the register and he informed me that I was not able to use my 20% discount since he had already given me a 10% discount for the damages. So he ended up using the 20% discount in a pair of gloves that were 6.99 and it discounted $1.40 . my total amount came up to $62.00. Now my question is was that fair for me to only have 5 dollar discount for a damaged item?. After I payed and walk out the store. It came up to my mind that it would of be better to just use the %20 discount on the costume which it would save me $10.00 instead of $6.00. I went back to the store to return the items and purchase only the costume with my 20% off. The manager and the other cashier were very rude and keep on telling me to be glad they were doing that for me. I just know I would never go back to the store the customer service is so bad and the only professional and nice person was John who apologize all the time. Also some of he employees were vaping on the back but the fitting rooms that is very unprofessional.

Over 6 bucks. Honestly. Especially since employees cant even do refunds without getting in trouble from head office after Oct 18. You were entitled enough to get someone to cave to your tantrum. And yeah they arent wrong for saying 'be glad we can do that's cause managers can get in deep trouble for not following policies that you clearly feel above. Someone's job for your petty 6 bucks

Spirit Halloween manager at spirit halloween

I applied to work there October 6th, had the interview about 3 days later. She hired me and said I needed to do take on my account and call her when I was done. I called her the next day and she said she needed to finish one thing and would call me. She texted me like 5 days later saying I needed to come in with my information. I went, she said she would call me in 3 hours to finish setting everything up. 3 days later, she finally texted me saying "I need you to come in to finish your application or are u not going to work there's only about two weeks left anyhow but that's up to u". I went in again to finish it and something wasn't working so she said she'd call me Later that day to finish setting it up. She still hasn't texted or called me. And it's now October 20th.

Spirit Halloween customer service

For the last 4 years I've bought costumes from them for my kids but after today's (10/20/19) experience I will no longer be supporting them. At the Maplewood MN location, I went to the fitting room with my son, a younger female employee told us to go ahead and help ourselves to a room. As I was fitting the costume on my son a older female employee with glasses comes in and starts demanding "Give me my bags! (pointing at the empty bag the costume came out from) and yells at us that we can't try on accessories and I explained to her that we are not trying on any accessories and just the costume from the bag. We were just told we could help ourselves so I don't know from what's right and what's wrong. She kept DEMANDING for the bag and everything else that came out of the bag in a loud voice as if we did something very bad. I felt blindsided and embarrassed and was just rushing to take the costume off my son. So basically due to horrible customer service, I will no longer support this business.

Spirit Halloween return not accepted

I bought a costume within 24 hours trying to return it because it was the wrong size and the spirit store would not even do an even exchange because I didn't have my receipt. It's a $60 costume and I drive an hour to get to this location! All I wanted was an adult size not child size. Wouldn't budge at all. I just spent $100 the day before and now i'm spending another hundred dollars and i'm out $40 plus my gas and time for a manager that wouldn't even help or try to resolve the situation I paid cash money and this should not be happening I have four children and don't have extra money for stupidreceipt issue

Spirit employees arent allowed to do returns without receipts . You arent god and entitled to whatever you want. It's your fault you forgot it or lost it not theirs. Employees are not horrible employees cause they simple follow their policies and rules

Spirit Halloween lied to about items and availability of them.

After multiple conversation with them, they assured that the items we ordered were available and would be here in time. Then today, with no time to find a replacement, they called and said they didn't have the product. The following behavior is deception, and highly unprofessional. Being forthcoming and honesty would have saved us the hardship that will be endured due to their deception.

Spirit Halloween customer service is horrible

I was just in store returning a costume in the Mays Landing store because it was too small for my son! The cashier was very Rude to me. I literally just bought the costume a few days ago for my child, it was a Skull trooper. The Man that checked me out looks at the costume and says it looks worn and dirty. Then proceeded to smell inside the bag. Unbelievable. I have never been more Embarrassed. The store alone is very uncomfortable to go into. I will Never return to that store again! I will take my business elsewhere.

Spirit Halloween manager behavior, online harassment and bullying

Heather Simpson aka Heather West who is a manager at your Colonial Park store was found harassing me online. This is the store I shop at, well did... she has threatened me on numerous occasions telling me to come see her, using very awful language towards me that caused me to have people warn me not to come to your place of business. Included I will give a few examples of some of the things this woman has said. People know she works at this store and represents this store and company. I myself work in management and customer service and would never go onto to someone's social media to bash someone publicly for a reaction. I might actually have to go to the police about this incident considering all the threats. Numerous people have come forward to me about how they do not go to this specific store to stay away from her considering she has known to be an adult bully to others. I don't know what can be done but her social media interactions are causing people to stay away from her and in doing so, lose profits for a home, busy store. Thank you, just thought you should know how your manager behaves as an adult. Thank you kindly.

Spirit Halloween spirit in general

What has become of this company? They used to be a good source for anything Halloween but in the past two seasons, they have gone down hill FAST. The quality of the products they sell amounts to nothing more than crap. All you need to do is go to utube, search in Spirit and you'll get posts by store managers posting videos of props that have already broken. It sure seems like their management feels they have us all locked in. NOT! I've tried to leave negative feedback at their website and it is always deleted! I hope their sales fall to the point where they get the message and improve things. As it stands right now, they have gotten all the money out of me that they going to get.
