Good afternoon, To Whom It May Concern
I am writing you today to see if we can find an amicable solution to a potential continuous issue which I have had with managers that work within the Gainesville area after my time of employment. I worked with Sonny's during the Covid-19 quarantine, and I decided to return to college after proposing a business plan with individuals I believed to be managers of Sonny's on how we can improve profitability at the Archer Road location. I am sure you could find my resume recently and my previous employee information as well.
My issue to present to you today is that I believe that the managers of your Gainesville area locations are continuously attempting to harass me and intimidate me as I walk in the local area of my college (Santa Fe College). Since I have left your company, I have become one of the top wine professionals in the local area. I believe that John Bryant and other managers under Shannon Snell's management are attempting to blacklist me from finding other work in my hometown area. Blacklisting is illegal in Florida, and I would hope that these potential issues cease immediately.
Gainesville is known to be hostile to people to challenge the status quo and attempts to improve the area are always met with resistance. I have recently been thanked by the Chief of Police at Santa Fe College Police Department, Ed Book, for my efforts to put in a work order to improve safety near the college. I have also been acknowledged by the Court of Masters Sommelier of America for my efforts to attempt to improve the Krystal Restaurant franchise of SPB Hospitality.
During my time at Sonny's after sharing my business plan, it seemed that the management only wished to reward my contribution with allegedly intentionally overworking my body to where my knee nearly gave out. These restaurants are also known to be very rude and offensive to guests, especially if they are from a different place and like a different football team than the Florida Gators.
I hope that there can be a constructive conversation on how this matter may move forward and so that I may feel as if I am able to me a conducive member of my community and continue to improve restaurants to better serve the people of Gainesville, FL.
Best regards,
Sean Jones
