Skyscanner Booking system

I paid for two reservations and a day before flight when trying to do check in for a flight it turned out that second reservation wasn’t made by Skyscanner even tho I was fully charged for it! My sister had no ticket to fly to Turkey for important medical appointment. Since that time I’ve made couple of phone calls, send few emails and I didn’t get any chance to speak to someone who could help in that situation. Lost over £140 and I’m still being ignored after months.

Skyscanner Re-booking and refunding

My return flight, which was on the Sunday was cancelled a week before I was meant to be travelling out on holiday. I asked Skyscanner to re-arrange the the flights and two days later they offered me two options. I selected one within 30 minutes and heard nothing back.

I called them the next day and they told me that it was being booked and sorted which was great.

I called them again 3 days later as I heard nothing back, and haven't been given flight tickets or confirmation.

With a day to go before I was meant to be leaving, they told me to pick from the same to options again, which I did.

Two hours later they told me that these flights were now full and the only option was the the day after on Monday. I work full time and have to request holiday days. They left me no time to do so, and expect it to be easy to just stay an extra day. I am travelling with a group and staying at a friends house who are all leaving on the Sunday.

It was clear that because they took so long to re-book my ticket, even when I specified as quickly as possible, all the flight seats were taken.

I was forced to purchase another ticket to ensure my return on the Sunday. I was then told that I couldn't be refunded or compensated for my cancelled return flight, even though I am fully insured on cancellations.

I feel that by taking so long to re-book and then clearly messing things up by sending me the same two options again, Skyscanner forced a situation where I had to double book and then refused to compensate anything, even though my flight was cancelled and despite my emails and calls, they didn't book the desired flights and instead offered impossible flights with no time left to organise or re-arrange (a day before travelling!).

Desired outcome: A refund/compensation for my return flight.

Skyscanner Flights and agents

I would like to lodge a complaint and be advised on how to recover money lost on having to rebook.

I had a family emergency arise which needed me to get to London Heathrow as quickly as possible.

I went online and used your search engine (Skyscanner) to find and book a flight after being referred to it by a friend. I looked at the flights available, chose one and went to book it. I was redirected to Kiwi.com and given an itinerary with all connections and airlines.

I chose to use Kiwi.com thinking it was a New Zealand Company and if I had any issues I could contact them.

The route which I chose was Auckland to London Heathrow, transiting through Shanghai and Helsinki on the 10 June 2022.

Kiwi.com sent me an itinerary (Booking number [protected]) and an amount to pay which I duly did and they informed me the reservation was being processed. I have attached screenshots of emails confirming the booking of the flights.

Kiwi.com then got back to me telling me there was a problem with the the booking and offered me a free alternative flight plan which was flying to London Heathrow basically through the same ports which I accepted.

Because of the timing of the flights and the urgency, I looked on line and the pages I read indicated I needed two PCR Tests at different testing sites and a supervised RAT test in order to travel. This meant I had to travel out of town to do one in total costing over $1000 NZD. I managed to get all the tests done in a short turn around and boarded a plane from Taupo to Auckland at midday on 10th June, while waiting on an application from the Chinese consulate on a transit visa.

This is where my problems started. The visa was denied and after being on the phone to try get answers for more than 5 hrs I finally had a gentleman come down from the airline. I was supposed to be using Eastern China Airlines to fly Auckland to Shanghai . He came to tell me the flight did not exist. He informed they had not been using that route into Shanghai for a number of weeks and that I should not have ever been offered the flight. The flight from Auckland was actually destined for Xiamen and if I boarded this flight I would be expected to quarantine in China for 14 days before I could proceed (find attached photo of notice board Auckland airport). This meant that the connection to Helsinki that I was sold was impossible as I would be in quarantine and not even in the correct airport.

After many calls to Kiwi.com I was informed it was no fault of theirs and it was the airlines for changing it, also that they were following their policies. To cut to the point I had to purchase another ticket to get to my dying mother which was a financial burden to add to the stress I was already suffering.

I would like to know, as it was through your website and recommendation to use Kiwi.com where I go from here?

I was given an itinerary to fly to London in which one of the flights did not exist. The company tells me its my fault and that I should have checked before booking and paying for my flights. There is no way I could have checked the existence of the flight to Shanghai and the connection to Helsinki. This is the whole reason we use companies like yourselves to book such flights. As a "global leader in travel" and a "firm dedicated to making travel simple" you were advertising flights that didn't exist and directing people to book flights that didn't exist. This does not make travel simple or lead to the perfect trip. It amounts to false advertising and is a scam.

I expect a reply sent to [protected]@hotmail.com advising me of the outcome and what you plan to do.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of money $4000 NZD to cover costs of new flights and money spent while at airport for extended duration and a written apology. I would also like to put it to yourselves to review using Kiwi.com.

Skyscanner Paid flight ticket not refundable despite contracted covid-19 with proof of evidence

The paid flight was informed not cancellable nor convertible to credit as proposed which is greatly demotivate people continue to use their services amid current endemic phase where chances of contracting the COVID-19 still possible. The thing is once one is contracted he or she is not allowed to board flight which many airlines actually allow to change date however understood the fares difference should be born by the customer. In my case, I was told the Airline and SkyScanner both do not allow other than asking me to pay for a new ticket. This is ethically not right.

Desired outcome: Allow for credit conversion and use later via SkyScanner if full refund not allowed. This at least still gives me strong reason SkyScanner truly listen and care about their customers which was why I have always been using them in the past.

Skyscanner MyTrip

Followed link from Skyscanner to buy flights from MyTrip Order No. LGS2KZ. London to Rome Outbound Flight: AHXNVF, Return Flight: AHYXNC

Flight cancelled by airline. Alternative option not suitable (not direct and wrong time of day) Requested different alternative flight over phone. Promised call back within 5 days. Did not hear. Had to call them to ask for full refund. MyTrip said they would not refund for the full trip, only outbound. I replied, “this is illegal (Ref. Citizen’s Advice)” My emails requesting full refund have been ignored, only receive requests to call them back. Called again yesterday and asked to speak to a manager. Was told no one available (even though operative had just spoken to his manager) and they would call within 24 hours. They have not called.

Desired outcome: Full refund. £196.98 Skyscanner to take action and not to promote MyTrip on their website.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Skyscanner Updated Ticket has not been issued yet in spite of contacting them several times.

We booked tickets from skyscanner in mid March, ticket number - [protected], had to correct name due to surname issue, paid extra fees for that.

Now since then we have been calling them and mailed them several times. They say 48 hours every time but hasn't issued the updated ticket and the travel date is less than 9 days.

I fear my tickets will not come at all. It looks like they are not even trying.

Desired outcome: Ticket should be issued and mailed asap.

Skyscanner Unable to do name change on ticket

I booked a flight at midday today to fly to Helsinki E ticket [protected].

I booked by the name Mike Darcy which is my regular name but my passport says Michael Darcy. I was told I have to arrange the change over via the company I bought the ticket from and then rang [protected]. I was then told they would not change it as I needed 7 days notice to do a name change. I was told this was not right by the Finnair team but your agent would not move on it and I was unable to get my flight.

So to be clear I bought a ticket today and the policy stated was a name change needed 7 days notice. I was furious and complete deflated as missed a wedding of a close friend.

I cannot believe this is right and I would like confirmation on this point so I can highlight the policy to the regulatory authorities.

Desired outcome: A full refund to soften the blow - Cost to me £203.07

Skyscanner Flight ticket refund

If you buy your flight tickets with Skyscanner you probably won't get your money back if you ever think of canceling. It's been 10 weeks since I was promised my refund back. Skyscanner Unconfirmed flight

We booked return flight from UK to Bali via Malaysian Airlines, original return date was cancelled, 2nd date was not confirmed by skyscanner - we are now in a position with no return tickets, poor customer service. I expect skyscanner to take on the cost of arranging us a return flight to the UK on requested return date even if it means via a different airline.

We were sent a confirmation of return flights, but this was not put through by skyscanner on time for it to be booked. On top of this, no one contacted us to let us know that the date was no longer available until we called to chase up. Terrible service. I expect immediate attention to resolve this issue asap. It is unacceptable to leave customers without return tickets a week before their holiday when the original booking was made months in advance! unacceptable.

Desired outcome: ASAP to book us a return ticket to land in the UK by 12th June, latest 13th June before 2pm, London heathrow.

Skyscanner Flight booking

I booked a flight from London to Zurich and back on the 8th - 12th of June.

Your -e-ticket SKWUK-1294358, Airline reference: PL5VYQ

I got contacted by BA and been told that the flight to Zurich is cancelled. After calling Skyscanner I am baffled by the careless service I received. I have been told to call BA and ask for a refund saying they should refund me. Well, I have booked through Skyscanner and pai Skyscanner so I am absolutely certain the refund comes from your side.

I called BA and after being on the line for almost an hour they have told me exactly that. Please arrange with Skyscanner a refund. I have then again contacted you and been told I cannot just refund the flight that has been cancelled but have to refund the entire trip which I am not willing to do because, the flight I wanted to take back and is still going ahead, is now significantly more expensive, hence I asked to only refund me the currently cancelled flight and not the entire trip, which I have been told is not possible. Certainly it is possible but you are not willing to do it.

Desired outcome: I would like that you refund me only the money for the cancelled flight and help me find an alternative option to fly out to Zurich.

Skyscanner Urgent issue. Flight in less than a week. Company have delayed time in booking new flight. Massive increase in flight prices

I booked flights from heathrow to Bali over a month ago to fly out on 2nd June and to return on 14th June. 2 weeks before i am set to fly the company/airlines have made 4 changes to my booking. Wheteby they have changed my flight to a week after my requested date. When getting in contact with your company i have gained zero help or information i was told to contact malaysia airlines. I have had the same conversation with your company for over a week whereby i have been told to "wait 24 hours for team to investigate" every day the flights have been going up in price or availability gone. The flights that were similar to my original flights have doubled in price since being messed around by your company.

I am due to go on my trip in just over a week and i have no flight. I have explained this to your company with zero help or support. I am a nurse where i work long shifts and do not have time to be messed around especially a week before im set to travel. This has caused me great stress that is extremely unnecessary.

Desired outcome: flight heathrow-bali 2 June.to return 15 june same/similar price as i originally paid as your company has wasted so much time that flivhts have doubled in price. There is a flight with singapore airlines: 3 june09:25. Return 15june20:00

I Purchsased a Air Ticket for my Partner Mary Jacildo to fly to the Philippines

on the 16/4/2022 but although we were at check in plenty of good time there was a technical issue with an app so we had to rebook again to fly with Emirates

Airlines the next day ,Emirates told us there was no fee to pay again as we did not miss our flight and it was just an unfortunate occurance that we could not fly that day,We just needed to contact the Skyscanner agent and agree on a flight but it will be free,But i had to pay £ 275 for the seat including Airport taxes,

Emirates said that is not true ,that i have been charged again by your Agent,

I already compalined and received two calls ,one from Bracknell,one from Ireland,I spoke to the customer Advisor and she assured me i would be paid into my Bank Account within 10 days ,its now a month and still no payment .

I am really dissapointed after all the stress we went through at the Airport,waiting until the last few hours for confirmation of our E Tickets.

Being asked time and time again to prove my email.ticket number,and Bank payments when they already had this information.

Skyscanner Trip.com

Hi there,

I booked a flight with trip.com via your service and I have been stuck with them for 5 months trying to get my money back for a service they are not providing. They are the most inefficient booking agency I have ever come in contact with. I cannot believe the time, money and energy I have spent on this.

Please stop doing business with them and routing people to their site.

Skyscanner Ercan airport rebrand

When searching for flights to ercan north Cyprus I am seeing the name change to a different name. Ercan airport is the airport in The Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus. Therefore why does the name change to Tymbou in the search. Please remove the name Tymbou and reinstate the correct name for our airport, ERCAN!

I would like a response confirming that this has been amended.

Skyscanner Botched Booking

After carefully filling out my booking and paying for my flights, I received my eTicket. My Name AND Address was completely wrong on the ticket. This was an error on Sky Scanners side.

Skyscanner want £55 off me to change the details, even though it was their error! They just will not listen.

Skyscanner Refunds processing

I look at up a ticket at skyscanner and come up on the search hope2.Com, i book a ticket and cancelled it before 24hr, i got charged $800 for cancellation fees, and i never get the refund back, for that reason i don't why skyscanner still work with hope2.Com, never buy a flight ticket from hop2.Com, the scammed me $3000, and they will always told you that could not process the refund back in account that the get money out the only option is to send you a paper check, and you will never gonna get that paper check, for my advices never and ever book a flight ticket from hope2.Com, the agents are mean and rude ever time i called them and explain my situation they always said "sorry nothing we can do about it". I do have a family to take care and only thing that i wanted was my money back nothing at all from them, my friends never and ever book a flight ticket from hop2.Com you will end up be in same situation and lose your money.

Skyscanner Booking Confirmation and E-Ticket

Hi, I booked a ticket from skyscanner last April 26, 2022 travelling from Dammam Saudi Arabia to Manila Philippines departure June 7, returning July 15. i did not get the e-mail confirmation and e-ticket after payment as the skyscanner inform me that i will recieve it within 24hrs but after 2 days waiting not mail received. hopefully you can help me on this.

Skyscanner Missed flight due to insufficient connecting time

We booked two connecting flights via skyscanner for Monday 4th April 2022. The first was with Ryanair from Stanstead to Budapest . This flight arrived in Budapest at 11.50am. We then had to wait to get off the plane, collect my babies pushchair, walk to collect our checked in luggage and by the time we got to the check in desk at Budapest to check our luggage in for the 2nd flight, the check in desk had closed.

The 2nd flight was with Pegasus from Budapest to Sabiha Gokcen. It was due to depart at 1.20pm and check in shut 1 hour before departure (12.20pm)

We then were stuck at Budapest airport and had to buy a new flight from Turkish airlines in the evening for £544!

I do not believe that 30 minutes is enough time to leave the plane with an infant, collect our luggage and re-check in our luggage and this flight transfer should not have been advertised on your website.

We are very disappointed and we’re very stressed out.

Desired outcome: I would like to file a complaint and ask to be refunded for the cost of the flight that was missed including the extra checked luggage I had added on.
