Shipton's Heating & Cooling

Shipton's Heating & Cooling Ltd is a total ripoff! They had the audacity to charge me a whopping $100 just for showing up at my place, even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with my furnace. Can you believe that? The thing was working perfectly fine by the time the repair guy arrived. And get this, he only spent a measly 5 minutes here! What a joke!

On 11/24, this company came to my house to fix my furnace. The tech replaced 2 parts and told me we needed a 'motherboard' for $750 plus tax. I'm on a pension and thought that was too expensive, so I paid $673.48 for the service and parts. He even mentioned it might be better to get a new furnace. Later that day, I had a qualified installer replace the motherboard I bought for $404 including tax. But the furnace still didn't work, so I called them back for another tech. On 11/25, a different tech came and told me that one of the parts replaced the day before was wrong. He installed the correct one and the furnace worked. They didn't charge me for this. I contacted the company about the motherboard I bought based on their tech's advice. I asked for a refund, but after a few days and talking to a manager, they said no. They did offer to refund the first service call and one unnecessary part (still waiting for it). As a business, their techs should be qualified and give correct advice. ***. I have all the receipts and work orders for this issue. I suggested splitting the cost, but they wanted to take it out. I won't pay half for a product they'll use in someone else's furnace. I talked to them again today, 12/3, and they're sticking to their decision. Their techs represent their business, so they should fix their mistakes completely.

They did the work they said they would when they said they would do it.
After there work was complete the site was cleaner than when they first arrived.
