Shell gas station card swipe rarely available...

Local Shell in Leesburg, Georgia rarely has the card swipe on pumps working. This has occurred for several years. Station owner is slightly rude when questioned about this issue...and the issue has not been resolved since he took over ownership. This is the only station in the area with this problem and several of my co-workers have mentioned that they have same issue when buying gas there. I've had a shell card since 1988 and have never seen this issue at other stations.

On March 9 2019 - I gave my 2 weeks notice to Mr Sam Chow, Gateway Shell Manager

My name is Kevin Peers, my wife is Harriet Peers and she has been employed as a Gas Station Attendant for 3 years at the Gateway Shell Gas Station, Exeter and Wellington Road, London, Ontario location. During this work period she worked on the 3.00pm to 11.00pm night shift, during this time she worked alone.
During my 3 years of employment - I only had one "Shell Canada" shirt - All employees received one "Shell Canada" shirt - Don't tell me that supplying only one shirt is in Shell Canada budget - I approached the Manager of the Exeter & Wellington road Gas station in London, Ontario about getting another shirt - he said he was going to get another shirt - But this never did happened. Isn't this embarrassing for Shell Canada.

My reason for resigning is because of lack of understand from the following people:

Helena Grbavac, Area Manager
March 8'2019 - During my shift, I was extremely busy and when Helena Grbavac came into the store I had over $200 in my till - her focus was on the "money in my till" and not on the store surroundings - then she realized that the store was busy, and she asked me "Is it always this busy" - My reply was YES, (If you check the sales receipts you will notice the store is always busy on Thursday and Fridays - this is because of the location to the Highway 401 and Local Business's - At no time did I have the opportunity to put money into the safe drop. Customer Service and helping customer is a major priority for me

After Helena Grbavac left she called Sam Chow - And at no time did he contact me to ask me "what happened" - This is poor management.
I wonder if this situation has happened to other employees who work for Shell Canada?
After I handed my resignation to Sam Chow - Other employees knew about this resignation - Doesn't this violate Human Resources Confidentiality.
Shell Canada has a policy that says I cannot count money in front of a customer - but Helena Grbavac and Sam Chow expected me to violate that rule.

Petro - Canada has the same policy that a Gas Bar Attendant cannot count money in front of a customer.

I went into work on March 11'2019 and had a conversation with Mr Sam Chow:
• He wanted to know why there was so many Lotto cards he asked why the lottery tickets were more important than putting the money in the drop box. - At no time was he concerned about the money in the till. The Public asks for the Lotto tickets.
• He asked me to stay on until he comes back from vacation? Why - Seems he needed me to cover for the shift so he wouldn't have to worry about the shift - He should have asked Helena Grbavac to cover my shift while he was away?
• He was not concerned about the situation that created me handed my notice in - Only himself.
• According to Sam Chow - Helena Grbavac did not notify her supervisor about this situation.
• I (Harriet Peers) made a suggestion to Sam Chow that at Tim Hortons, they have a "cash deposit" system that can allow employees to deposit money into "safe deposit" - His reply was that "That Is Tim Hortons way and not Shell Canada's way"? - Is this looking to the future or is it negative?
• To reduce employee risk - Looking at ideas that can improve employee safety would reduce the potential of workers getting hurt by disgruntled or robbed by customers
ISSUES - Working Alone: Harriet Peers trouble shoots the Car Wash when customers have an issue entering the access code - The Carwash PA system is by the main cash register, she leaves the store to help customers - The Full Serve Gas closes at 8.00pm. The attendant cannot help me if there is an issue because the attendant is busy.
ISSUE - For the past 7 months I (Kevin Peers) have been working in the Windsor area, I travelled from Windsor to London when Harriet is working on her Friday afternoon shift, I went to the Shell Gas station there has been times where she has had no time to go to the washroom because my wife was busy during her shift. - As I have entered, she runs to the washroom - So I wonder if this is a Shell Canada policy?, for a customer to look after the store when the attendant has to run to the washroom. I would like Sam Chow/ Helena Grbavac work the night shift and experience what my wife did. to get off their backsides and try to do that job - What would they do? Is there a policy that it is okay for my wife to have to run to the washroom during her shift.
ISSUE - A customer was at the Car Wash, made a mistake entering the code and needed help at the car wash and she would help the customer - when she isn't there who is looking after the store, the security camera?
ISSUE - Training New Employees, Yes I have trained new employees, but you rely on "experienced" workers with 3 months training new employees? - Is that training "correct"?
Suggestion - there should be a Shell Canada Designated trainer to teach Shell Canada Policies and Procedures - this would ensure that training is correct, the reliance with "on-line" training without verification that the worker understands the training doesn't work.
ISSUE - Mr Sam Chow "threatened" the employees that whoever didn't complete the Workjam program would not get their pay cheque?
ISSUE - If there is a Language Barrier:
• How is the employees supposed to comprehend the Workjam training
• Is there are any follow-up to ensure that policies/procedures are being followed.
• Taking on-line training modules are okay for Shell Canada's Due Diligence
• If there are issues maybe that policy/procedure should be reviewed between the Manager and Employee and not thrown underneath the bus by Senior Management.

ISSUE - Sam Chow was in the store and said that "How Canadians are Stupid and Lazy" - I am a Canadian and took offence to this sentence - At the time Brenda (Another Gas Bar Attendant) was present.

MAJOR ISSUE - Concerning Customer Complaints
Customers have complained, about the body odor of other Attendants (Weekend Shifts) and have refused to buy gas from the gas station - I have talked to Sam Chow about this issue and he has done nothing to solve the issue except try to get me to do his job for him (It is not my job to tell other gas station attendants about their body odor).
ISSUE - At no time in the past three years has there been any discussion concerning a Job Description - Is it in my job description to do Sam Chow's job, he is the Manager, So what is the duties of the Manager and Assistant Manager?
Employee Risk
• When workers are working alone they are at risk from customers, from verbal abuse to threats from customers.
What are the Shell Canada policies/procedures concerning "Working Alone"
• The risk is that a worker may have a heartache - or break a leg? Shell is responsible for the Health and Safety of their employees? Who will take care of the workers, your organization will be liable?
My Husband is a Safety Professional. Helena Grbavac should have looked at the situation, found a real solution - Maybe having a second person working in the store, and Sam Chow didn't follow-up to find out what happened - during that shift. Cameras are good for identifying potential or real life situations but they do not prevent robbery, employees getting hurt. If my wife had got hurt - Helena Grbavac, Sam Chow and Shell Canada would be have been liable.

Unfortunately I am giving you two weeks notice as my role as a Gas Bar Attendant is no longer attainable.
On Friday March 8 - During my shift (3.00pm till 11.00pm) during the shift it was extremely busy, and I did not have the opportunity to complete the safe drops. When Helena approached me about the safe drops, she asked me "Is it always this busy", my reply was "Yes, every Friday". Then she left.
I worked for Shell Canada for 3 years and really liked working for Shell Canada

Shell fraud price for gas.

I was at a local gas station here in Charlotte, NC. I pulled into the gas station and the pump read 2.69 for premium. I thought to myself this is awesome.

I put a total of 20.02 in my tank. I requested a printed receipt at the pump, however it did not print.

I went inside and requested a printed receipt. I even mentioned to the associate how low the premium gas was at this location. How awesome this cost was at this time.

This is when the gas attendant informed me that the price on the pump was incorrect and that sometimes there is a malfunction of the price resembled on pump number 7.

At this time I asked why there was no sign out there to relay this to the customers. He just shrugged his shoulders.

I asked how much the real cost for the premium gas was and at this time he told me it was 3.24 a gallon.

At this time I requested to be refunded the difference and the attendant told me no.

I have reached out to file a complaint with Shell, however no one has called me back and it has been over a week.

Be careful when using Shell gas stations, because obviously they do not care about their customers.

This was complete fraud as the attendant knew the pump was not showing the correct price, and had done nothing to make customers aware.

As well them not wanting to refund me the difference. This was completely intentional.

Complete Fraud, I plan on getting in contact with my local news station to make them aware of this Shell location fraudulent behavior.

The public has a right to know this type of activity is allowed at this place of business.

Shell fuel rewards and card scanners

My husband and I use the station at wilcrest and westheimer in houston, texas. I have gone there 4times over the last 6 weeks and cannot use my fuel rewards card at the pump due to defective card readers and had to go inside. Today I could no my fuel rewards card at all inside or outside. We have had a shell charge card for over 25 years with your company. This is horrible customer service. The employee inside is imploring me to contact corporate to get something done.

I go to this station because prices are lower. If this station is a franchise location and updating their equipment is their responsibility that is no excuse. They are representing your good name and your product. I am sure in the franchise agreement you are expecting them to maintain the equipment and the facility. This is not happening. What's the point of the fuel rewards card if you can't use it. Our charge account is under my husband, john daluga. I expect some restitution from corporate for my aggravation and trouble. Shell coffee and people

Your coffee from the in store machine was quite nice for $1 but sometimes the beans are being changed as today it is absolutely revolting...!
Is a staff member swapping this out and taking the good quality home...?
Or if your company is randomly using the poorer quality my advice is that is foolish.

Shell harassment from an employee

Hello my name is Jon McCoin.
I have been a daily customer at this store for over 12 years. I have known personally every employee that has worked there as well assisted in multiple confrontations and attempted theft recovery's in the past few years as own a security company and do my best to look out for your employees retired staff that work graves. I got to know your employee shay a few months ago and after asking me to take a look at her car sound system one day I found that her speakers were in poor condition and they failed while her and I were working on them. She proceeded to blame me for these 17 year old speakers failing and I asked her to leave.
Since that day I have had at least 5 different instants in which I walked into your store to make a purchase and she immediately threatens to call the police on me for theft. The last accurance was this last monday. I went in to purchase a soda for myself and my son after attending a furneral for a death in our family. She immediately started cursing and screaming at me in front of my 4 year old and told me she was going to call the police for theft and wouldn't sell me the drinks. I then put 2.00 in change on the counter and walked out. I am trying to give your managment staff the chance to correct this behavior before filing charges against her and proceeding with further legal actions as this matter has been addressed with management and has not changed.
I expect to hear back from your organization about how you can rectify this problem at the nearest convenience.

Shell gas pump

Hello,
i just filled gas in my car and i inserted the pump and went inside my car. I look in my rear view mirror and see gas gushing out of the pump all over the car! i freaked out and got out of the car and yelled help! nobody helped me until later the associate saw me and stoped the gasoline immediately! to begin my car was half way and that shouldve cost me about $20 to fill up, since the clicker never stopped and gas kept pouring out the cost came up to $60! the clerk called the owner because she did not know what to do but they couldnt reach him and she said she cant do anything about it. I am very upset this happened to me and how they handled the situation. First of all nobody helped me and the gas reached the streets and it was all over my car! this is not my fault, the clicker never clicked to notify me that the gas was full, so there was a malfunction that they need to check upon! i have the receipt to prove it, and also you guys can go ahead and check the cameras to see exactly what happened. Shell refusal to allow my to fill my tires with air...

My car tires were low on air pressure and, after notifiying the enmployee on duty that I did not have the $1.5O necessary turn on the air pressure machine, he refused to do turn it on remotely, despite my assurance I would use my credit card to fill my tank. I use my vehicle to transort my children, and inadequate air pressure in my tires presents an unsafe experience, and the station's refusal to give me free access to air to fill my tires, despite my willingness to fill my tank, is in direct violation of California Vehicle Codes. Is Shell so ethically and financially imoverished they would allow a customer to leave one of their stations, when the mere push of a button--that costs you literally nothing could have made the difference? I will follow-up this compllaint with the relevant CA State regulatorty authorities. This is an abhorent, indecent, and affirmatively illegal business practice and the employee resposble should be immediately censured, the station should lose its license to operate as a Shell franchise, and I promise you I will pursue (what you may consider a trivial matter), as far as possible within the CA state legislature.

Shell service & products

This location is very unprofessional, not only did they sell me a Reese that had been expired for a year, in which my daughter ate, & they did absolutely NOTHING about it. They took money from my card when I was not in the store at the time of the purchase .Called the police to file a report but they didnt give me my money back ! The owner is very Rude told me to shut up . This place needs to be SHUT DOWN ! ASAP !

Shell customer service

The employees at this location are very unprofessional. Multiple employees smoke right outside the front door and sometimes really close to the propane tanks. I absolutely refuse to go into the store and purchase anything unless I absolutely have to! The employees will talk to each other while ringing you up at the cash register and paying no attention to the customer. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service at this location.

Shell customer service

Dear Shell
I've gone to the same Shell station for 14yrs since I bought a home there. Yesterday I stopped by as usual around 9:30am(7th time since 2/18). I like Shell gas. I know and have known many of the employees there. This time was different.
I decided to pay with cash this time which is rare because I always use my rewards & debit card. When I got back to the pump it didn't work. I went back in and while standing in line I looked out the window and noticed that I had misread the pump number. No wonder it wasn't working. My brand new CRV was sitting at pump#3, not pump#8. As I walked underneath the pump number when I arrived I glanced up and thought the #3 was the #8. Silly mistake. Or so I thought...
The cashier refused to give me any gas. She refused to give my money back. She said someone was already pumping at pump#8. When she came in to pay, the cashier told her that she was now paying for my gas. Uh... ok.?
I had handed the cashier a $20 Bill so I figured I'd get $20 worth of gas. Nope. I was getting $10 worth of gas from the other customer's card. The cashier said she would then reset the pump and then give me the rest. Uh... ok?
I went back to my pump. Guess what? Wasn't working. So I went back inside and asked for my money back. I was done. The cashier said the pump must of timed out. Nothing she could do. She laughed and said next time you'll know better.
It took 45min, the cashier, 2 managers, and a phone call to the owner of the station to get $20 worth of gas. By then I didn't want the gas. I told the cashier I just wanted to leave and never come back. She said "GOOD!" Nope. Either I take the gas or I walk away empty handed. No gas. No $20 Bill. All 3 of them just stood there telling me "next time you'll know better". I took the gas. No discount.
Every time I drive by my favorite Shell station I'll remember this experience. Any Shell station for that matter. And then I'll forget about it as I get my gasoline elsewhere. 14yrs loyal customer. Point Loma homeowner. Thanks for nothing.

Shell Damage to my vehicle

My wife buys gas at the Shell Gas Station located in Weston, Florida. After she buys fuel ever week she has her Kia Soul washed after fueling. On March 9th she did just that, fueled up and washed our Kia. She left and went to Costco to shop. When she came out she discovered the rear window wiper was broken off. She dropped off the food and returned to the Shell Station. She explained what had happened to Manny the car wash attendant. He went inside the cash wash and retrieved the broken wiper and wiper arm. She was given a phone number to the manager. When contacting this manager-Naz, basically called my wife a liar. I'm not happy. The manager stated to her she could have broke it off the car and threw inside the car wash. This is not being handled correctly. Please contact me reference this issue. Shell Unknown credit card charge

Dear sir/madam i've been charged £107.76 on the 7th of March 2019

I filled up with E40.00 euros in fuel at the station stated above, and bought a few items fro the shop inside.

Is it possible to let me know why i was charged this much (with chip and pin) as the fuel payment was seperate from the purchases in the shop which would have come to no more than 22 or 23 euros

Shell contaminated diesel fuel tank

Subj: Gas contamination - Requesting investigation
Dated: 08 Mar 2019

To whom it may concern,

January 2019 we fueled our diesel truck at two specific gas stations prior
to error codes being thrown and the vehicle stopped working . Two
occasions were at ARCO 5515 38Th Ave, Gig Harbor, WA 98335 and one
instance at Tatoosh Food Mart Shell station 13053 US highway 12 Packwood,
Washington 98361.
Since fill up locations are limited to just the two stations, we
believe that one of the two gas stations had regular gasoline put into the
diesel holding tank.

As a result of the regular gas being introduced, our truck it is now
experiencing injector failure and the truck is no longer operable. The truck
was taken to a specialty diesel repair shop in Lakewood Washington. The
owner of the repair shop performed tests on the fuel and fuel system and
found regular gas in the tank and throughout the entire system. Repair will
include flushing the entire system, replacement of all soft goods
(gaskets/seals/hoses), pump, valve, filter replacement and new injectors.

- We are requesting an investigation be accomplished on the holding
tanks at the Packwood Tatoosh Food Mart Shell to see if your delivery personnel inadvertently
put the wrong gas into
the diesel tank.

- We are requesting you provide acknowledgement of this request by
responding to us and PEMCO (claim number [protected] Keri Ireland) in writing of what your actions will be and any findings.
The Better Business Bureau will also be provided a copy of this letter
attached to a complaint.

- If findings show this was an error on your companies part, we request full
reimbursement of all damages.

Shell gangsterism shell staff while working

When I drive to fuel pump number 8, adil kicked my right front car door with his right leg and bang my right car roof top with his right hand ask me to drive faster to pump no.8. Meanwhile my car was already there. I do ask adil why he dents my car roof top and car door?. Adil acknowledged with verbal word it is ok. I do said this is not ok. He just ran away and I have to stop him with snap some his photo for identification purposes. After that I parked my car beside the prayers room to perform solat maghrib, adil nagging by himself verbally just enough to be heard clearly by me. He said khinzir, khinzir, khinzir, najis. He does not allow me to use the prayer room. However I do proceed to pray as soon as possible. Adil remarked me as kafir, khinzir, and najis. Shell malaysia should not employed a muslim terrorist like adil. One day he will turn to be more danger to public. Shell malaysia mandatory to pay my car dents. Come back to me.

Shell price deception

I purchased gas at parkers pit stop in blenheim, south carolina on 2/24/2019... Price on the sign was $2.15 (the rate most of the stations were at yesterday). While pumping I noticed the price on the pump for unleaded was $2.21. At that point I was almost filled up. But I am highly insulted in this $.06/gallon price gouging. I intend to report this to the state of south carolina consumers advocate. Thank you

Shell employee

Drove into the driveway, observed a man, a very large man of about 400lbs wearing a shell uniform at a pump, pumping fuel while using his cell phone. When approached he became vulgar and extreamly rude using obscenities and a total lack of professional attitude. Risking his own life, mine and my wife's, along with 12 other ppl out at the pumps.

If you like, I will follow up with this mans name. I'm very upset and I will be informing the police and locals about this. It's on camera, so don't take my word for it.

Shell customer service

On February 14, 2019 (9:38pm) I went to this location (alone) to fill up my gas tank. I usually pay at the pump as it's generally faster. After I paid at the pump I did not receive a receipt so I went inside to ask for a receipt. The gas attendant then proceeded to tell me that it costs an additional $5.00 to print receipts. When I told him I was not going to pay $5.00 for the receipt he then told me that he planned this whole thing to get me to come into the building so that he could rob me. He then leaned over the counter and directed his hand towards my throat. Completely in shock by this I grabbed the receipt and ran out locking my car doors behind me.

I know that there is surveillance and I do plan on contacting the police and local newspapers about this. It has taken several days to do so as I'm still in complete shock it even happened.

I will NEVER return to another Shell gas station again for the fear of my own safety and I hope no other woman has to go to that gas station ever again. The people who work there clearly do not respect women.

Shell powerball lottery

I usually buy my gas here and have a rewards card. Last night on 2/6/2019 at 830pm I went inside to buy a lottery ticket. The guy rang it up then told me "You know they charge an additional.50 cents for lottery here!"- I said Äre you kidding me? He said Nope -.50 cents additional! I said "No, NO thank you!" and left. Shell not getting fuel and keeping my money

I asked clerk if I could used a gift card and she said yes... Took the card and I tried to pump gas did not work... Want back inside and was told she return the money to the card never happen.. Now I am 40 dollars short on card... Nothing return to card they stole 40 dollars off me... Today jan 15 2012 happen 5.38 pm cashier elisa... Maybe small claims court? I purchased gas at a Woodstock shell gas station on 3 December. On 4 December my car would not start st all . Towed in to ford next to the same gas station. Took them almost a month to determine that it was contaminated fuel. My car was only 9 months old. Filed a claim with shell as soon as I was able to. Have not heard s thing from them
