Sentry Management — ask questions to expose condo management
HELP! Need you ideas ASAP!!! My HOA just hired Sentry Managment, by absorbing our already crooked management company. NOW they want to install a "RESERVE Program". This will cost each of us over $5, 000., additional in fees in one year, plus other increases. Supposedly this Reserve plan will tell us what needs to be done, and when, and arrange it - and it will ALSO manage our money. haha
It took them 7 months to prepare a $3000.00 "study" which had only one on site inspection the month BEFORE the Report was distributed.
I need help in what questions to publicly (or privately research) ask to expose these nefarious people. Every time you add another entity between the money and its management is seems to add to the cost. We have 100 owners, most of whom feel they are powerless to stop the maniacal Board of Directors and management company, who seem to be in each others pockets always. Our fees have already jumped from $85. a month to over $210. a month in only six years. Each unit has a selling value of less than $140, 000. and of 100 units 8 are for sale.
