I purchased 2 “verified” resale tickets from SeatGeek for Paul McCartney Nov 11, 2025 in Pittsburgh. The tickets I purchased for the Pittsburgh show were represented as VIP SOUNDCHECK PACKAGE (see attached screenshot.) However, the tickets I received were not VIP SOUNDCHECK PACKAGE, they were simply seats for the show alone (see attached photo of the actual tickets).
Because of this, we were denied entry to the soundcheck. I would never have purchased these tickets – and obviously not pay the enormous premium – for seats with no soundcheck package. The price for these two tickets was $11,924.12, and this is the amount of the refund I expect.
This transaction constitutes felony theft by misrepresentation, and failure to perform due diligence to verify that the tickets were correctly represented makes SeatGeek complicit in this felony (the Ticket Type is listed as “Verified Resale Ticket.” As the purchaser, I had no ability to perform due diligence because the actual ticket type was not visible to me until I arrived at the venue and they printed the ticket.
SeatGeek can remedy my monetary loss by refunding to my credit card the amount of $11,924.12.
I have contacted SeatGeek via email and thus far the only response was AI generated and non-responsive to the problem. It seems that they do not speak to customers by phone.
