My deposit
I want my deposit back! My check was supposedly put in the mail on the 7th. I just got evicted and homeless with a 10month old baby. I need my money now! I also wrote a complaint to the BBB. Its enough money for me and my daughter to get our own place. Horrible service and the customer rep is rude too. I will call everyday about my money! Do better. Actually care about your customers. I will never live where it's srp again.
Desired outcome: I want my $800 deposit back immediately!!

Raise of monthly prices
SRP has sadly become a scam with cost and living. I have a brand new air conditioner. Last month I paid 250 not knowing that they weren’t averaging cost anymore. I kept it at 76 that month and when I got the bill it was 100 dollars more than usual monthly cost. This month to avoid a high bill I kept it at 79-78. The bill was even more at 255! I called in and they are trying to convince me it was a hotter month. Ya it was damn hotter month cause my house was at 79! trying to save cost. They are trying to convince us that it’s economy and the heat. We all the know the truth! They know it’s only them and the ceo and upper management are greedy and pocketing most of it. So over these prices being out of control and we are the ones that have to suffer! Living in Az air conditioning is a necessity and these prices are a crime!
Desired outcome: Lower monthly fair cost
Power Outage
Our household just received word that there may be a power outage within a week of March 8th. First, this timeframe is unacceptable. People work from home and need to be able to plan ahead for power outages with business colleagues and bosses. A specific date and time should be announced. Secondarily, this is being done between the standard business hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Again, this is problematic for people working from home, a larger population after COVID prompted more work from home. Planned outages should be occurring outside of this timeframe, or at the very least within a designated, small portion of the day. Some people do not have the ability to take time off and most definitely don't have companies that are willing to allow their employees to suddenly be offline.
Desired outcome: A planned power outage should occur outside business hours, before 8 am or after 5 pm and a specific timeframe, date and time, should be given well in advance, a week minimum.
Removing pay stations!
I think your company's business model is horrible and whoever is in charge isn't very intelligent! You raise prices to almost unbearable levels, then make it even harder to pay our power bills because you take out ALL the pay stations from stores! You didn't let anyone know before it happened which is pretty negligent to be honest! It was a very stupid decision on your company's part!
Desired outcome: PUT THE PAY STATIONS BACK WHERE THEY WERE!
Hello,
My name is Ricky Kar & I work with solar. One of the biggest doubts people have with solar is if it would cost more money than what homeowners would be paying now?
There is in fact a solution now more than ever with those who are frustrated with their utility rate hikes. In fact, going solar costs zero out of pocket. To keep it simple, you would swap your bills (after going solar) with a far cheaper one.
If you have any questions about solar, do not hesitate to reach out to me at rickysolfinity@gmail.com.

Electricity
Electricity in my area has been out for over 8 hours now. It went out on July 17th, 2022 at 8:40pm and it is not July 18th, 2022 5:20am, and according to online system the estimated resolution time is (7:10am). I have called several times only to be read out exactly what is online, they cannot offered an explanation as what is happening and what to expect, I have been hung up on when asked to file a complaint or to speak to a supervisor. These is the most frustrating and infuriating situation ever since this is a company it is chosen for you depending on where you live and you have not choice but to pay your bill or you have no electricity and the company/employees know so they pretty talk you but treat as disposable because in the end I have no choice but to pay them regardless of whether they provide a good service or not. I would switch to a different company this very instant if I had a choice.
Desired outcome: To be provided a clear explanation as to what is happening. To be compensated for the loss wages, time wasted on getting this resolved, stress and groceries that have gone bad on chest freezer outside and inside.
Hello,
It's very upsetting how relying on these electric companies has been the only way to receive power to your home. There is in fact a solution now more than ever with those who've had enough from their utility companies.
In fact, going solar costs zero out of pocket and the main thing to understand is that you would swap your bills (after going solar) with a far cheaper one at a fixed rate. Essentially, the goal is cut down the pricing of your electrical bills and own your electricity rather than rent.

Solar rates
I purchased my solar panels and am set up on the Customer Generation solar plan. I have followed the time of use plan religiously. I received my 1st bill and am being charged a "Demand" fee which is triple my actual usage fees! I have called several times and still am not happy! SRP is price gouging their solar customers! I hope we will have other power options in the future as there should not be "punishment " for going solar!
The same seems to be happening with us in AJ. We installed a system with 150% capacity because we did not want an electric bill. We generate all the electricity we use in the summer but somehow our ac units mysterious turn themselves on during peak times causing a demand charge. Anyone else experiencing this?
Not putting my order when I called
My main beaker need it to be replace
Something your worker is not supposed to do
So he did his job very professional
I called back to SRP company to let the. Know
Main breaker was already replaced by maintenance
Who ever I spoke to it
Did not put my order until an hr later
I had call back to see if everything was still ok
The lady who answered told me
I had put my order an such a time
I am like
No I have been waiting 1:40 minutes already
Collections Department
I received a notification on my Credit Karma app that showed a new collections account. This dropped my points by 51! So I called SRP which provided me with the collections department. So I call and explain how the house was sold 1.5 years ago so how could a meter reading be taking February of this year? 3 people later and no one could provide me with a reasonable explanation. I felt disrespected and that I meant nothing. I get it collecting money from bad accounts is hard work but I called with the intention to pay but just wanted an explanation. I call SRP back instead and a very nice person talked to me and explained to me that yeah maybe someone did use your account for their electricity until January of this year. That makes more sense then the collections department bad attitude and terrible customer service. I hope that my recorded call can be used as a training example of how to treat people like cattle and disrespect them to the point of having to talk to 4 different people due to terrible customer service. We are still active SRP customers but I have never been so disrespected in my entire life by a professional establishment. I would like for the Nicky (manager) and the other two people I talked to to be talked to about this and maybe even get re-trained. Nicky is a manager and was like a robot. Just one directional and lacking in any sympathy. Is this who you want talking to your customers? Not good! As a manager she should be able to defuse a situation and bring a customer to understand and assist in anyway possible. Not be black and white or robotic. If I wanted that I would of optioned for the voice operator instead.
shut off electricity
Salt River Sucks chooses to change out a transformer for a 5 HOURS power shut off in the middle of summer. It'll be 108+ tomorrow, July 2, 2019 starting at 8 a.m. Poor service, poor customer relations, poor timing.
They aren't a public utility and customers have to accept their service since it's a monopoly in the area. SRP feels like they can do anything they want with little recourse available to the customer.
And they brag about "good community relations"!
srp is overcharging, gangster, we hate using them
I wish to god someone would come along and give us another option. These guys are gangster. They were overcharging me a ton of money at one point at my old place, ended up owing them hundreds, and I am constantly having to babysit their little box. Make one mistake and your power will get cut off abruptly. They come along and totally suck money out of arizona in the summer it is like 10 dollars a day to cool my tiny apartment. Since switching over to their stupid mpower box I am constantly having to drive to pay centers and swipe cards, if not that then I will accidentally forget to pay, at which point they turn off your ability to pay with the app unless you call and ask for a superviser and have an awkward situation. They just suck. We need something else. 300 dollars a month for power is absurd! Give us options, stop doing everything in your power to prevent people from using solar. For gods sake someone come along and let us do business with someone other than srp. I hate srp. The fake-nice routine has got to stop. You guys are gangsters shutting peoples power off and giving us these stupid power boxes what a hassle. Screw this company you guys are too expensive, too gangster, we hate using your stupid new box that beeps at us when you need more money, please go away. Imagine a really bad credit card company that has the ability to turn off your power and spoil your families food at a moments notice. Thats these guys. My monthly powerbill is often a third the cost of my actual rent. Gangster.
there services suck period! they wont take cash or part cash and part credit card. its all money it all spends cash or card. now i say i am going solar they want me to pay a fee for that too! look if i set up my own power grid its mine i paid for it. according to srp its like theres! bs. we need to get with our state rep to grab hold of this monopoly ! look if i have problems getting power set up in my name just think of others that are seniors like in there 80's.they should take a credit card and cash at there so called pay station. they will not control my solar i paid for it its mine no 2nd party or 3rd.if i have to prove in a court of law so be it whats mine. there should be no extra fees from srp for your own equipment and power grid! all this is more less cooperate greed! who do they have lobbing for this crap?
we the people need to ban together go to the state regulators. to get power in my name i got to pay a deposit bs! everything i get is paid for cash or by credit card. seldom do i use credit card.to many hands in the pot.just like there banks out here you deposit your hard earned cash the bank makes money off it then they charge you a fee to have a bank account. these company's make enough cash. its all greed! something i cant stand! help your fellow man/woman!we all need help at 1 point in time.
I totally understand that there is a lot of negative stigma on solar because people have been mislead or given false promises. More and more, people are realizing the actual/true benefits of solar. No longer would you need to invest money into it, quite the opposite in fact. There is no longer any down payment for solar and the only real change that would happen if you (or any homeowner) can qualify would be a reduction in your electric bills. Overtime, you would be saving a lot of money AND owning your electricity. You would also avoid any and all rate increases from utility companies.
If you have any further questions about solar, do not hesitate to email me at rickysolfinity@gmail.com!
I am wondering why every time the wind blows or when it rains, our electric goes out? How old are your parts? We pay you plenty of money for our electricity so we should not be having to deal with our electricity going out every single time the wind blows.
Not happy with their solar demand charges. It costs more than the actual bill! I wish I had a different utility option. They are price gouging us!
There is a lot of misinformation about solar out there such as empty promises and even scams. I am deeply sorry you are being charged a lot more for solar than what it should actually be. I don't know your situation, but it seems like you've been mislead.
With the solar company I work with, going solar costs zero out of pocket and the only change would be a bill swap at a fixed cheaper rate. Essentially, the goal is cut down the pricing of your electrical bills and own your electricity rather than rent. However, anyone going solar would need to be a homeowner, not renting their place.

overbilling, fraud
After installing inaccurate "smart meter" which resulted in 20% higher electric bills, SRP decided based on "late payments", to assess a SIXTEEN HUNDRED DOLLAR deposit. No negotiation and no notification.
When I try to talk to someone and get upset, they hang up. This is thievery and fraud.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
There is an SRP truck up on a jack in the street. They appear to be doing work on the vehicle and have been for days. This is very unprofessional and not nice tp look at.
The more I deal with SRP the more I absolutely hate this company. Their policies toward people who suddenly experience arrears from summer billings are appallingly abusive and EXPENSIVE. Deposit requirements are beyond the reach of most consumers, and businesses are absolutely ripped to pieces by even more outrageous deposits. Upset at being charged more? They don't' care. Enraged at being forced into difficult and inconvenient programs zero flexibility? They don't care. SRP is a money vacuum with mafia like disregard for customers. I can't stand them.
